This episode is sponsored in part by Betterhelp. In Part 2 of our conversation with Amanda Rae, we pick up right where we left off—so if you haven't heard Part 1 yet, go back and listen first. In this episode, Amanda shares the final breaking point that led her to leave the Kingston Clan, also known as The Order, and the harrowing events surrounding her dramatic escape at just 17. We dive into the emotional toll of indoctrination, the long process of deconstructing belief systems, and what it takes to rebuild an identity after growing up in a high-control religious group. Amanda speaks candidly about self-awareness, survivor's guilt, family estrangement, and the dark side of reality TV—including her experience on Escaping Polygamy and the exploitation survivors faced behind the scenes. This episode is a raw, deeply moving reminder of the resilience it takes to not only survive—but to speak out. Amanda's story continues to empower others seeking freedom, healing, and the courage to trust themselves. This episode is sponsored in part by Betterhelp. In this week's episode, we chat with Amanda Rae, survivor of the infamous Kingston clan, a radical Mormon sect also known as “The Order.” If you've seen Escaping Polygamy on A&E, you might recognize Amanda from the show, where she helped others flee the same secretive and abusive group she escaped at just 17. Amanda shares what it was like growing up in a world built on polygamy, incest, and “pure bloodlines”—including the pressure to marry her cousin, her father's multiple incestuous marriages, and the cult's obsession with racial purity. She walks us through the shocking inner workings of the Kingston clan: secret banks, isolation tactics, assigned marriages, and the terrifying consequences of trying to leave. This is the first half of Amanda's harrowing story of survival, recovery, and advocacy. Stay tuned for Part 2 later this week. Some of you may remember our previous guest Priscilla from the same group - both of these gals were on Escaping Polygamy. Amanda's going to tell us who the Kingstons are, how many mothers she had, and the principle of “pure Kingston blood” that led to people sometimes intermarrying with relatives - some of whom were underage girls. She'll tell us about how her 2 years at public school helped her think critically about the differences between what the cult SAID about outsiders and people of color - versus the reality that they were just normal people, how children as young as 9 are sent to work after school, and why the day she left began with a physical altercation with a grown man in the group. Welcome back to the Lighthouse Project, a Children of Scientology Production. Our second episode is Part 1 of a freeform conversation around Jane Doe 3 testimony and topics: Amanda Rae arrives, we introduce ourselves, plus share a little more about why we're each here. We touch on staying "under the radar", some lightbulb moments, and finally letting go of Scientology. We continue our discussion around the Danny Masterson Rape Retrial and relate to Jane Doe 3 testimony. We dig into Field Auditing and prolonged "security checking" and the blaming of children who experience sexual trauma, what it feels like to be a child at a rural "Org", more on the "Cadet Org" and separation from parents, and how children often reach the conclusion that it hurts less to let their parents go. We scratch the surface of parallels in our own childhood experiences around the practice of "No HE&R" (no human emotion and reaction), the practice of victim blaming via being made to describe in great detail (and repetitively) how you "pulled in" anything negative that happens to you (even if it means inventing false memories in a past lifetime), more on Scientology euphemisms, and how all of these things strategically and effectively control how children are allowed to feel, process experiences, and are able or unable to communicate about them, plus long term emotional & mental health impacts. Hi!!! I'm super excited to introduce you all to this magical being. In this episode of Ascension Stories we get to hear from Amanda Rae. She offers the world Integration Coaching/Alternative Recovery for those that are in need. She has spent 8 years in an abusive relationship with opiates and after she took the steps to clear her system of that substance she found that what was missing was the support the one needs after making that kind of shift. She believes that the reason people get into drugs is due to trauma, and so after one makes the decision to stop using and takes the steps to do so, they need someone to help integrate it all. I couldn't agree more to be honest and I am so so so very grateful that a person like herself has made herself available to the public, people that want to lift themselves up deserve to have the support to make this recovery journey a success. I hope that eventually she will teach her methods to others so this support can be broadly available and this kind of thing can help uplift the world. I can see and feel how much this is needed. If you know of anyone that may need her assistance, here are some of the ways you can reach her: Her website: www.HarmonyIAM.com And here is the handle for all the social medias that she is on: @cosmicsoul_guide And as usual you can find all my info at: Linktr.ee/Natasha.Koshinka ❤️ --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/natashakoshinka/message

Thank you for listening! After experiencing many many traumas by age 25, an 8 year long abusive relationship with opiates, in & out of jails & treatment centers, & diagnosed with an array of mental health disorders, Amanda frankly had nothing left to lose & very little hope left. With her last shred of hope she sought the spirit of Iboga for healing. That was 8 years ago. As powerful & transformative as this medicine is, it's what you DO with it afterwards that makes all the difference. She did not have anywhere to turn for advice on how to integrate what she had just experienced. Who was she supposed to be now? How does one get there? What step can you take next? It was an overwhelming task to take on alone, but she did it one step at a time, & not without a few bumps & lessons on the road. Amanda has accumulated a well of knowledge, tools, & practices that changed her life beyond comprehension & it is her passion to share these tools with others. She wanted to be the person she needed after her experience, & that is why she created Harmony I Am, & that is what she hopes to share with you! In this week's episode, Nina connects with Amanda Rae Hill, an Intuitive Arts Practitioner. Amanda shares what it was like to grow up as a fifth-generation medium in a small town in NE Ohio without any idea what she was and how it fit in her life. After having children who also have these gifts, she sets out on a journey to understand this gift and how to help her kids to grow in confidence and trust themselves as they come into their authentic selves.Together, Nina and Amanda dig into the difficulty in connecting with the God she learned about in her religious upbringing.  She shares what the period of deprogramming looked like around her beliefs and how she came to understand what her Truth is and how that was going to reintegrate this into a more authentic reality for herself. Amanda stepped into this truth and found that in addition to being a channel, she was hearing how to work with plant medicine and oils in helping others, along with energy healing and spiritual coaching.Amanda also talks about how she came to start the Psychic Kids Network to help other children and families with abilities learn more about the gift(s) they have and how to work with them in a way that feels safe and good for them. Meddlin' Mondasians! It's the second half of our epic exploration of the origin of the Moffassian Cybermen. Amanda Rae talks tropes and Cyberbills, our robotic announcer DELIA continues hatching her evil plans, we talk about "That Scene, You Know, The One About Gender," experience some pretty deep feels, and both good tea, and bad tea. Plus, Emma drops by, and Andy loses a lot of friends, probably. Oh, and our ongoing Les Mis parody looks to the "Stars." Song of the week: Caspian - "Hymn For The Greatest Generation"

Leapin' Lizards, it's the return of the Ice Warriors, as Stephen, Clay, and Andy define the term "Gatissy", discuss bootstrap paradoxes, the awesomeness of Alpha Centauri, and why this episode might be one of the season's best. Plus: Amanda Rae returns with TWO "This Week In Bill" segments, a Gilbert and Sullivan parody, a Kids Talk Who segment, and much much more on this episode where, like the Ice Empress, you'll find yourself surrounded by noisy males. Oh, and the first twenty minutes or so are basically us hashing out our feelings about the Monk trilogy, with help from Amanda Rae and a big ol' shout out to our friends at Head Over Feels.
