Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton is in talks to helm the fourth Spider-Man movie for Sony and Marvel Studios. While neither Sony or Marvel have provided a comment at this time, this is in line with previous reports and claims that a fourth Spider-Man film with Tom Holland was being fast-tracked to begin shooting next year. Though he only has one MCU feature under his belt, Cretton is already beginning to feel like a bit of an elder statesman within the Marvel Studios stable of filmmakers, having been previously attached to The Kang Dynasty before it became Avengers: Doomsday and creating the Wonderman series that is in production. Early reviews from Venice Film Festival screenings for Joker: Folie a Deux, the sequel to 2019's Joker, hit the internet last week, with the response to the musical follow-up decidedly mixed. Critics seem divided on the film's uneven tone, with criticisms citing a plodding narrative and underutilization of Lady Gaga. Positive takes celebrated the performances of Phoenix and Gaga, as well as Philips' direction. In a July 2024 interview, Kevin Fiege confirmed more Marvel Studios Special Presentations, like Werewolf By Night and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, were on the way, with one actively in production at the time– sounds like old news, but now, Marvel Head of Streaming, Television and Animation Brad Winderbaum, doubled down on the promise while speaking with Comicbook.com. Previously, Feige detailed that the Special Presentation wouldn't air in 2025, but 2026, though Winderbaum's answer seems to insinuate it could be sooner. James Earl Jones, the legendary actor known for his iconic baritone as Darth Vader in Star Wars, died Monday at his Dutchess County, N.Y. home. He was 93. Warner Brothers has released the trailer for A Minecraft Movie, starring Jack Black and Jason Momoa and directed by Jared Hess. The game-based film premieres in theaters on April 4, 2025. Ahead of the main Emmy Awards scheduled for Sunday, September 15, last weekend saw the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony held at downtown Los Angeles' Peacock Theater, where the FX network enjoyed an incredibly successful evening. With 14 wins, Shogun broke the record for a single season of television, while The Bear took home 7 awards as well. Notable wins include The Dark Knight's Nestor Carbonell as the best guest actor for his role as the Portuguese merchant Rodrigues, and Jamie Lee Curtis for best guest actress in a comedy series for her appearance in The Bear, her first Emmy win. Alison Brie has been cast as a key villain role of Evil-Lyn in Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films' live-action take on Masters of the Universe. Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for season five. Currently, season four is dropping weekly episodes on Hulu every Tuesday, leading up to the finale on October 29. Netflix has greenlit the long-rumored Twilight animated series, now in production. Based on Stephenie Meyer's Midnight Sun, it retells Twilight from Edward Cullen's perspective. In a deleted blog post, Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin criticized creative choices in House of the Dragon's second season, hinting at future posts addressing issues. HBO responded, citing the need for "difficult choices" due to the scope of Martin's work. A Reacher spinoff is in development at Amazon Prime, with showrunner Nick Santora writing. The series is expected to focus on Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten. In a PEOPLE interview, Michael Keaton revealed his real name is Michael Douglas, but he had to change it when joining SAG-AFTRA in the 1970s. Now, he plans to use a hybrid name, Michael Keaton Douglas, for future projects.

Israeli strike kills Hezbollah commander; 'Oppenheimer' dominates Golden Globes; Sunday's NFL highlights

On the version of Hot off the Wire posted Jan. 8 at 7:15 a.m. CT: BEIRUT (AP) — An Israeli airstrike has killed an elite Hezbollah commander in southern Lebanon. It's the latest in an escalating exchange of strikes along the border that have raised fears of another Mideast war even as the fighting in Gaza exacts a mounting toll on civilians. A Lebanese security official said Monday's strike on an SUV killed a commander in a secretive Hezbollah force that operates along the border. Hezbollah identified the slain fighter as Wissam al-Tawil without providing further details. He is the most senior Hezbollah militant to have been killed since Hamas' Oct. 7 attack into southern Israel triggered all-out war in Gaza and lower-intensity fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, which has escalated since an Israeli strike killed a senior Hamas leader in Beirut last week. BOSTON (AP) — Winter weather is battering parts of both U.S. coasts. In the West, a Sierra Nevada storm packing heavy snow shut down a stretch of interstate Saturday and briefly knocked out power to tens of thousands in Reno, Nevada. New Englanders are bracing for a potent mix of snow and freezing rain through the weekend as that storm makes its way up the East Coast. Winter storm warnings and watches remain in effect throughout the Northeast. Icy roads have made for hazardous travel as far south as North Carolina. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul expects two-thirds of her state to get 8 inches (20 centimeters) of snow or more. PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A federal official says the Boeing jetliner that suffered an inflight blowout over Portland, Oregon, was not being used for flights to Hawaii after a warning light that could have indicated a pressurization problem lit up on three different flights. Alaska Airlines decided to restrict the aircraft from long flights over water so the plane could land quickly if the warning light reappeared. Aviation officials also have found the chunk of the fuselage that was expelled from the aircraft. More than 140 Boeing planes are grounded while the airlines await instructions on how to inspect them. The depressurized jet with 171 passengers and six crew returned safely with no serious injuries Friday night. ROME (AP) — Pope Francis is calling for a universal ban on the “despicable” practice of surrogate motherhood. He included what he called the “commercialization” of pregnancy in an annual speech to ambassadors accredited to the Holy See. The speech listed the threats to global peace and human dignity, including Russia's war in Ukraine, the Israel-Gaza war, migration and climate crises and the “immoral” production of nuclear and conventional weapons. But he also listed smaller-scale issues that he said were threats to human dignity, including surrogacy. "Oppenheimer has dominated the Golden Globe Awards, taking home the night's top honor. Yorgos Lanthimos' “Poor Things” has won best comedy or musical at the 81st Golden Globes, an upset victory over the category favorite, “Barbie.” Emma Stone also won for her performance in “Poor Things.” On the television side, “Succession” and “The Bear” are took multiple honors. Christopher Nolan's epic American drama “Oppenheimer” picked up five big awards including best drama film, best director for Nolan, best actor for Cillian Murphy, best supporting actor for Robert Downey Jr. and for Ludwig Göransson's score. Paul Giamatti and Da'Vine Joy Randolph both won for their performances in “The Holdovers.” LOS ANGELES (AP) — Timothée Chalamet and “Wonka” topped the box office charts for the third time in its four weekends in theaters. Studio estimates Sunday report Warner Bros.' family-oriented musical added $14.4 million in ticket sales. That brings its total domestic grosses to $164.7 million. But 2024 is getting off to a slower start than last year and is down around 16%. The Universal/Blumhouse horror “Night Swim” is the only major new offering in theaters. Warner Bros. and Universal placed third and fourth on the charts as well with “Aquaman” in third place and “Migration” in fourth. “Anyone But You” rounded out the top five. BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Fossil hunters are celebrating the discovery of a mammoth tusk and other bones unearthed at a coal mine in North Dakota. A shovel operator was the first person to spot the collection of bones while shoveling a giant mound of dirt into a dump truck. More digging by paleontologists unearthed more bones, likely the most complete mammoth specimen found in North Dakota. The North American Coal company plans to donate the tusk to the state for educational purposes. The tusk is 7 feet long, weighs 50 pounds and is more than 10,000 years old. It's wrapped in plastic for now at the North Dakota Geologic Survey office in Bismarck. In sports, the Jets snap a long losing streak to the Patriots, the Eagles get blown out by the Giants to stumble into the postseason, Arthur Smith is out as Falcons head coach, Jarrett Allen's big night helps the Cavaliers hold off the Spurs, the Winnipeg Jets extend their points streak to 12 straight games, and the Dodgers look to add another free agent signing. WASHINGTON (AP) — Congressional leaders have reached an agreement on overall spending levels for the current fiscal year that could help avoid a partial government shutdown later this month. House Speaker Mike Johnson is hailing the agreement in a letter to colleagues as “the most favorable budget agreement Republicans have achieved in over a decade.” President Joe Biden says the agreement is one step closer "to preventing a needless government shutdown and protecting important national priorities.” Lawmakers needed an agreement on overall spending levels so that appropriators could write the bills that set line-by-line money for agencies. Funding is set to lapse Jan. 19 for some agencies and Feb. 2 for others. In the last week alone, Israel has killed a senior Hamas militant in an airstrike in Beirut, Hezbollah has fired barrages of rockets into Israel, the U.S. has killed a militia commander in Baghdad and Iran-backed rebels in Yemen have traded fire with the American Navy. Each strike and counterstrike increases the risk of the already catastrophic war in Gaza spilling across the region. But in the decades-old standoff pitting the U.S. and Israel against Iran and allied militant groups, there are fears that any one party could trigger a wider war if only to avoid appearing weak. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Judith Light of “Poker Face” and Sam Richardson of “Ted Lasso” and cast members from “The Last of Us” were among a wide range of acting winners at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The ceremony is a precursor to the primetime Emmys ceremony on Jan. 15. Light won her first Emmy in a nearly 50-year career for her guest role on “Poker Face.” Richardson won his first for playing a soccer-loving billionaire on “Ted Lasso.” And two cast members from “The Last of Us,” 53-year-old Nick Offerman and 20-year-old Storm Reid, won their first Emmys for guest roles on the HBO show. LONDON (AP) — The actor who earned fame as the blond half of a crime-fighting duo in the popular 1970s television series “Starsky and Hutch” has died. David Soul was 80. His wife, Helen Snell, said Friday that Soul died on Thursday "after a valiant battle for life in the loving company of family.” Soul portrayed detective Ken “Hutch” Hutchinson alongside dark-haired Paul Michael Glaser as detective David Starsky in “Starsky and Hutch.” It ran on ABC between 1975 and 1979. At the height of his fame, Soul also hit the music charts with the single “Don't Give Up on Us.” Soul had lived in Britain for many years, where he took on several stage roles. On this week's AP Religion Roundup, an imam is killed outside a New Jersey mosque, and Native Hawaiians protect a sacred salt-making tradition. Orthodox Christians packed churches on Saturday night for Christmas Eve services, a holiday overshadowed for many believers by conflict. Patriarch Kirill is the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, the world's largest Orthodox denomination. He led services at Moscow's Christ the Savior Cathedral. A Kremlin spokesman said Russian President Vladimir Putin was expected to attend Christmas Eve services at his Novo-Ogaryovo residence along with the families of military personnel who have died in the war in Ukraine. Nightime services were canceled in the Russian border city of Belgorod following Ukrainian attacks Dec. 30 that killed 25 people. Celebrations in the Middle East were darkened by another conflict: the Israel-Hamas war. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court is allowing Idaho to enforce its strict abortion ban, even in medical emergencies, while a legal fight continues. The justices on Friday said they would hear arguments in the case in April and put on hold a lower court ruling that had blocked the Idaho law in hospital emergencies, based on a lawsuit filed by the Biden administration. The Democratic administration argued hospitals that receive Medicare funds are required by a federal law to provide emergency care including abortion. The legal fight followed the court's 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and allow states to severely restrict or ban abortion. A district judge in Idaho agreed with the administration. In a separate case in Texas, a judge sided with the state. —The Associated Press About this program Host Terry Lipshetz is managing editor of the national newsroom for Lee Enterprises. It received 57 award nominations during its five-year run and won 27, including the 1992 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, two additional Primetime Emmy Awards, four Creative Arts Emmy Awards, and two Golden Globes. Critic John Leonard called Northern Exposure "the best of the best television in the past 10 years". Hot Topics Include: 1.) Is Northern Exposure more like a boring Twin Peaks or a boring Picket Fences (or a boring Schitt's Creek?)? 2) What would get this show "canceled" first-- poor representation or sexual power imbalances? 3) We dabble into strange waters.. "What Ya Listening To?" 4.) Celebrity Baby Names 5.) Rachel says "titillate" more than she should 6.) Dropping shows in their last season 7.) This week on Episode 479 of Priority One --- We ‘Trek Out’ Star Trek’s Emmy Haul, Noah Hawley’s shelved Trek plans, Star Trek Universe’s New York Comic Con offerings, and Nostalgia at the movies! In Star Trek gaming, Timelines releases “Neither Created Nor Destroyed” and one of our audio editors, Gray, is stepping up to the mic for a look back at Gaming in the Star Trek Multiverse! Of course, as always, before we wrap up the show, we’ll open hailing frequencies for your incoming messages Let us know on social media like Facebook, Twitter, or by visiting our website! This Weeks Community Question Is: CQ: How do you feel about Noah Hawley’s Star Trek Film? Do you like the idea of moving away from Kirk and Picard? Do you think Federation Ideals should need to ‘be saved’? TREK IT OUT by Jake Morgan Star Trek’s Emmy Showing 2020’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards show was a lot like the year itself - unorthodox. The awards ceremony, which ran from September 14th to September 19th,  “honor[ed] outstanding artistic and technical achievement in a variety of television program genres, guest performances in weekly series, as well as exceptional work in the animation, reality and documentary categories.” The awards streamed throughout the week, and aired its final night on FXX ”Virtually-Live”. All nominees were required to pre-record an acceptance speech, the winners being played and the rest discarded. There was even a snafu when announcing the “Guest Actor in a Drama” - Ron Cephas Jones won, but Jason Bateman was announced the winner. Star Trek’s showing at the awards was much like the 2020 Creative Arts Emmy Awards Show and 2020 itself - a bit of a letdown. First, the good. On Wednesday September 16th, Trek took home its first Emmy Award. The crew behind “Star Trek: Picard” won the “Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Limited Series, Movie or Special” for it’s work on the episode “Stardust City Rag”. The episode faced - and bested - some stiff competition, including  “The Mandalorian” and “ Westworld”. We would like to extend our congratulations to the team for its impressive win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RM8EVFlRM4 For a full list of the winners, trek out our link to Variety in the show notes at priorityonepodcast.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07HjZKe-0ls Noah Hawley On His Trek Offering We’ve discussed unmade Star Trek movies Ad nauseam. Whether it’s S.J. Clarksons Kelvin IV, Tarantino’s piece of the action, or Noah Hawley’s recently shelved - and mystery shrouded - Star Trek offering; many many hours of talk have been had about zero hours of visual media. Guess what we’re going to do now? No, we’re not going to perform the Star Trek theme as a polka. Right? No? No. We’re going to talk about unmade Star Trek movies! But this time, we’re getting to pull back the veil of Noah Hawley’s script thanks to Hawley himself. Get your favorite sauce ready - we’ve got trek nuggets! On September 15th. Variety released an interview with Hawley, mainly talking about the upcoming fourth season of “Fargo” - of which Hawley created and serves as showrunner. Guess what else came up? No, not Polka Trek? What’s with you? He talked about his “in stasis” Star Trek script, saying ”We’re not doing Kirk and we’re not doing Picard. It’s a start from scratch that then allows us to do what we did with ‘Fargo,’ where for the first three hours you go, ‘Oh, it really has nothing to do with the movie,’ and then you find the money. So you reward the audience with a thing that they love.” Hawley With EW.com Later in the week, on September 18th, Entertainment Weekly released another article with the Writer/creator/showrunner to once again discuss Fargo’s fourth season - and Star Trek.  When asked about the script, Hawley explained ”I can't say much about it except it's an argument for why humanity should prevail and why we should come together and unite, which I think is important – to look at the United Federation of Planets and remember at some point Earth is what we are now and then we invented warp technology and met extraterrestrial life and everybody came together. But how? How did we get from where we are now to where they are then? And what happens if that utopian reality is challenged? There are times of challenge and war when we have to prove our values all over again. Maybe there's a time in the Federation where this ideal is challenged and it won't survive on its own. It needs to be saved.” Star Trek Universe’s NYCC Plans In episode 473 of Priority One, we talked about the Star Trek cinema shuffle, including Noah Hawley’s script rumors. We also discussed the cancellation of New York Comic Con’s in-person festivities. This week, ViacomCBS released its plans for the New York Comic Con Metaverse online portal! Starting Thursday October 8th at Noon - and totally ignoring Priority One’s production schedule - Star Trek takes the virtual stage with its Star Trek Universe offering. “Star Trek: Lower Decks” and “Star Trek: Discovery” are set to do the heavy lifting, with StarTrek.com saying in part ”Join the creator of Star Trek: Lower Decks, Mike McMahan, and series voice cast for a special edition of CBS All Access’ official Star Trek after-show, “The Ready Room,” as they dive into the season one finale with host Wil Wheaton.”. The website continues ”Be the first to learn the latest about Star Trek: Discovery before season three premieres on Thursday, Oct. 15, exclusively on CBS All Access, in Canada on Bell Media's CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streams on Crave, and on October 16 on Netflix in 188 countries. Join series stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman and Wilson Cruz; new cast members David Ajala, Blu del Barrio and Ian Alexander; and series co-showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise, for an exclusive conversation on what’s in store for the U.S.S. Discovery crew.” If you’re interested in trekking out ALL of ReedPop’s New York Comic Con offerings, TVLine posted a concise listing of the schedule. We’ll link that, and the other articles discussed, in our show notes. CBS Sunday Night Movies Returns If you grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, you likely had a few VHS tapes of your favorite movies, and some were probably recorded from their broadcast television airings. Well break out the VCR, some Keebler Magic Middles Cookies, and your favorite Cabbage Patch Kid - CBS is about to get nostalgic. Sunday Night Movies is making a limited-run comeback! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK0B8jdKKBA In the face of the current epidemic, Viacom CBS has decided to fill some scheduling holes with the old favorite - CBS Sunday Night Movies - using the recently-re-acquired Paramount Pictures library. Starting on October 4th at 9:30-11:30PM  ET/ 9PM-11PM PT with “Old School”, the movies will run for six non-consecutive weeks - with the first four being thematically scheduled for school release and Halloween respectively. Following “Old School” will be “Clueless”, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”, and “Scream”. “Coming to America” will round out the offerings on November 29th, but the big news - for Star Trek fans, anyway - is that “Star Trek: Beyond” will get it’s Broadcast premiere on November 1st 8-11:00 PM, ET/PT! Do you think Federation Ideals should need to ‘be saved'? TREK IT OUT by Jake Morgan Star Trek's Emmy Showing 2020's Creative Arts Emmy Awards show was a lot like the year itself - unorthodox. Star Trek's showing at the awards was much like the 2020 Creative Arts Emmy Awards Show and 2020 itself - a bit of a letdown. First, the good. On Wednesday September 16th, Trek took home its first Emmy Award. The crew behind “Star Trek: Picard” won the “Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Limited Series, Movie or Special” for it's work on the episode “Stardust City Rag”. The episode faced - and bested - some stiff competition, including  “The Mandalorian” and “ Westworld”. We would like to extend our congratulations to the team for its impressive win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RM8EVFlRM4 For a full list of the winners, trek out our link to Variety in the show notes at priorityonepodcast.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07HjZKe-0ls Noah Hawley On His Trek Offering We've discussed unmade Star Trek movies Ad nauseam. Whether it's S.J. Clarksons Kelvin IV, Tarantino's piece of the action, or Noah Hawley's recently shelved - and mystery shrouded - Star Trek offering; many many hours of talk have been had about zero hours of visual media. Guess what we're going to do now? No, we're not going to perform the Star Trek theme as a polka. Right? No? No. We're going to talk about unmade Star Trek movies! But this time, we're getting to pull back the veil of Noah Hawley's script thanks to Hawley himself. Get your favorite sauce ready - we've got trek nuggets! On September 15th. Variety released an interview with Hawley, mainly talking about the upcoming fourth season of “Fargo” - of which Hawley created and serves as showrunner. Guess what else came up? No, not Polka Trek? What's with you? He talked about his “in stasis” Star Trek script, saying ”We're not doing Kirk and we're not doing Picard. It's a start from scratch that then allows us to do what we did with ‘Fargo,' where for the first three hours you go, ‘Oh, it really has nothing to do with the movie,' and then you find the money. So you reward the audience with a thing that they love.” Hawley With EW.com Later in the week, on September 18th, Entertainment Weekly released another article with the Writer/creator/showrunner to once again discuss Fargo's fourth season - and Star Trek. It needs to be saved.” Star Trek Universe's NYCC Plans In episode 473 of Priority One, we talked about the Star Trek cinema shuffle, including Noah Hawley's script rumors. We also discussed the cancellation of New York Comic Con's in-person festivities. This week, ViacomCBS released its plans for the New York Comic Con Metaverse online portal! Starting Thursday October 8th at Noon - and totally ignoring Priority One's production schedule - Star Trek takes the virtual stage with its Star Trek Universe offering. “Star Trek: Lower Decks” and “Star Trek: Discovery” are set to do the heavy lifting, with StarTrek.com saying in part ”Join the creator of Star Trek: Lower Decks, Mike McMahan, and series voice cast for a special edition of CBS All Access' official Star Trek after-show, “The Ready Room,” as they dive into the season one finale with host Wil Wheaton.”. Join series stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman and Wilson Cruz; new cast members David Ajala, Blu del Barrio and Ian Alexander; and series co-showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise, for an exclusive conversation on what's in store for the U.S.S. Discovery crew.” If you're interested in trekking out ALL of ReedPop's New York Comic Con offerings, TVLine posted a concise listing of the schedule. We'll link that, and the other articles discussed, in our show notes. CBS Sunday Night Movies Returns If you grew up in the 80's and 90's, you likely had a few VHS tapes of your favorite movies, and some were probably recorded from their broadcast television airings. As such, you probably knew some - or all three - “Night at the Movies” Bumpers! Following “Old School” will be “Clueless”, “Ferris Bueller's Day Off”, and “Scream”. “Coming to America” will round out the offerings on November 29th, but the big news - for Star Trek fans, anyway - is that “Star Trek: Beyond” will get it's Broadcast premiere on November 1st 8-11:00 PM, ET/PT! For a link to the full schedule, trek out the link in our show notes! Star Trek Gaming News by Shane Hoover and Thomas Reynolds Star Trek Timelines “Neither Created Nor Destroyed” From September 24th through the 28th, Ferengi, Augments, and Bajorans will destructively interfere with each other in Star Trek Timelines' “Law of Conservation” Galaxy Event. Emory Erickson and Altan Inigo Soong beam in as event crew, assuming Transporter Chief Rand gets their transport patterns straightened out. Whoever prevails will claim Roger Korby as the event's ranked reward...or is it actually his android duplicate? Who can tell? RETROTREK The world of Star Trek gaming is vast and varied. We want to spotlight some previously released Star Trek games. Whether to celebrate a classic, or make a new introduction, we're slingshotting around the sun for our new regular segment, RetroTrek. This week on science from Fueled By Death Cast, astronomers have discovered another interstellar object, and this one could be a comet. The first object, Oumuamua, was discovered only a week before it flew out of our solar system into the universe. This new object should be in our solar system for almost a year, giving scientists enough time to properly study it. Plus, if it does turn out to be a comet, the discovery could lead to some surprising data about the universe itself. Then, NASA won two Creative Arts Emmy Awards. one for the coverage of the first test of the Crew Dragon capsule, which launched from Cape Canaveral and docked with the International Space Station for the first time. The second award was for the interactive coverage NASA and JPL produced for the Mars InSight lander mission, which is still getting data today on the red planet.

To say the least, we definitely had some inspirational moments to talk about for this show. Eminem's been dropping albums well before the start of the so-called "Streaming Era." Infinite arrived way back in 1996, and Marshall Mather's discography added another nine studio LPs over the next 22 years. While 2017's Revival saw a significant slip in opening week sales (267,000 album-equivalent units), the Detroit spitter bounced back with Kamikaze (434,000 units). That was thanks, in part, to a huge number of streams. According to Billboard, Kamikaze collected 225.5 million first-week audio streams, the highest of Em's career. Revival compiled only 82.5 million streams last December. A biopic of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard is in the works at Sony’s Columbia Pictures. RZA, who is one of the hip-hop collective’s founding members, is slated to produce the film. Aside from being group members, RZA and ODB are cousins. Here for an ODB movie?? Legend won an Emmy at the 2018 Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 9). The acclaimed singer won for producing Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, which aired on NBC in April. Thanks to his Emmy win, Legend is now the youngest EGOT winner in history. EGOT winners are those who have received Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards. Congrats to him! Cardi B now has her own lipstick shade. Thanks to Tom Ford, the “I Like It” rapper now has her own shade on their Boys & Girls collection. The lipstick, titled ‘CARDI,’ comes in a cobalt blue shade. Cardi is officially getting her feet wet in beauty and fashion. She recently gave fans an update about her Fashion Nova collection, revealing that she is aiming for a November release. She just keeps winning. All the best to Cardi...can we get a loan? We also had in studio, Bianca Renee of "Sag7Entertainment". She is one of the premier party promoters in DC. Also, she specializes in freelance graphic design and web/print media development; which ties in to your next BIG party! Check her out everywhere, @sag7entertainment.
