This episode features excerpts from the February 8th performance of Dennis Hensley's The MisMatch Game at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre. The panelists are Danny Casillas as Reba Areba, Jackie Beat as Bea Arthur, Sherry Vine as Rue McClanahan, Melissa Peterman as Rena Z., Felix Pire as Antonio Banderas and Tom Lenk as Tilda Swinton. The questions cover everyone from Jonathan Bailey to Betty White to Benson Boone. The evening was a bizonkers blast and raised over $4,100 for the Center. After the MisMatch Game clips, there's a super-sized So This Happened...where Dennis talks about the Oscar party he attended where he missed a trivia question about Centerstage, a delightful candle-making class he took at General Wax in North Hollywood, going dancing at the Kylie XCX night at Precinct hosted by past guests Mark Nubar and DJ Shyboy and attending the 25th Anniversary benefit screening of Coyote Ugly with most of the cast in attendance. It was true in 2000 and it's true today: you really can't fight the moonlight.

What do you do when Malcolm McLaren, that hugely influential promoter and manager for punk rock bands like Sex Pistols, Adam and the Ants, and Bow Wow Wow, tells you that he thinks you should move to New York City? Well, you pack your bags and get moving! That's exactly what this week's guest did, packing his bags and moving with his best friend Lauren after the two got talking to Mr McLaren at a party they attended in their home state, California. Moving from San Diego in the autumn of 1985, the two were plunged in to the exciting NYC nightlife scene immediately, attending the lost space Boy Bar on their very first night. And Boy Bar came to be a pretty big deal in Miss Guy's life - but, I'll let her tell you about that. This is a really great conversation, and another reminder after the conversation a few weeks ago with Sherry Vine of a time when New York City nightlife was vital and throbbing and the centre of the universe... Do you have any memories of Boy Bar, or clubbing from your own scene that you want to share? If you've ever wondered what 90s New York City was like, then today's episode is the one for you. Before mass gentrification, before eye-watering rent hikes, and before all the personality was stamped out of it, queer night clubbing in the Big Apple was anarchic, unhinged, and magical. And the person that told me this is this week's guest, Sherry Vine - drag superstar, singer-songwriter, and host of The Sherry Vine Variety Show (available to stream now on OutTV and FrootTV), who was right there smack dab in the middle of it all. We talk about moving to NYC, getting started in drag, and Sherry gives a flavour of that anarchic magic that used to be on every street corner... If These Walls Could Talk with Wendy Stuart & Tym MossHosts: WENDY STUART & TYM MOSSSpecial guest: JOEY ARIASWednesday, December 22nd2pm EST LIVE from PANGEA Restaurant, NYCWatch LIVE on YouTube at Wendy Stuart TVA fixture of New York City's vibrant downtown performance scene for 30-plus years, Joey Arias is a bona fide NYC icon. In 2012 he appeared in a headlining solo concert at Central Park SummerStage and played the Southbank Centre in London as part of the Antony Hagerty-curated Meltodwn Festival. Then in October Z Chromosome, a short film starring Arias and directed by Manfred (Thierry) Mugler opened the 18th Annual Festival Chéries-Chéris in Paris. Spring 2013 sees Joey Arias in Residence at Joe's Pub over 4 Sundays and on tour in the Western United States beginning with a Valentines Day concert at the world-famous Castro Theatre.Arias lived and worked with legendary musician Klaus Nomi until Nomi's death in 1983. However, he has long since stepped out of Nomi's shadow to gain fame in his own right as a performance artist, cabaret singer and drag artist. From outrageous performances at seminal New York nightclubs Jackie 60 and Squeezebox to the now-legendary nights at Bar d'O where he held court with Raven-O and Sherry Vine, Arias has distinguished himself with scandalous wit, sleek style and an extraordinary voice… evocative of Lady Day yet uniquely his own.It was no surprise when Arias was tapped by Cirque du Soleil to originate the role of the emcee in their Las Vegas spectacular Zumanity, for which he co-wrote 3 songs. After 6 years in that role, Arias returned to New York where he became star and co-creator of Arias With a Twist with master puppeteer Basil Twist. The show was a critical and commercial hit and extended repeatedly for a total of 8 months at HERE Arts Center. The show has been subsequently presented in Los Angeles, Washington DC and Paris and returned to New York for another critically acclaimed, encore 8-week run at Abrons Arts Center in Fall 2011. The “Arias With A Twist” docu-fantasy premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and had it's US premiere at the 2011 TriBeca Film Festival. In 2010 Arias returned to New York City with his first full-length concerts in over a decade. Joey Arias in Concert – featuring new jazz luminary Ben Allison and a band comprised of some of NYC's best musicians – played to sold-out houses for two weeks at Abrons Arts Center. A scaled down version of the show opened the Spiegeltent at Bard SummerScape in 2011.Arias has performed worldwide at venues including Carnegie Hall, The Freedom Theatre in London and on a transatlantic world tour into the cabaret clubs of Paris, Tokyo, Moscow, Germany, Finland, Estonia, Canada and England. On film, he has appeared in Mondo New York, Big Top Pee Wee, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, Wigstock – The Movie, Flawless and To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. Television credits include the infamous Saturday Night Live episode with David Bowie and Klaus Nomi, Ann Magnuson's Vandemonium (Cinemax), Elvira's MTV Halloween Special, HBOs Dragtime, HBO's Real Sex and Gayer Than Gay on VH1, along with numerous appearances on a wide variety of talk shows and programs. Additionally, Arias has produced several of his own recordings including Arias on Holiday, Strange Fruit, Jazzo Lozo, God Shave the Queen and live recordings of StarLust in Berlin, Arias with a Twist and Bar D'o in New York.Who else but hosts Wendy Stuart and Tym Moss could “spill the tea” on their weekly show “If These Walls Could Talk” live from Pangea Restaurant on the Lower Eastside of NYC, with their unique style, of honest, and emotional interviews, sharing the fascinating backstories of celebrities, entertainers, recording artists, writers and artists and bringing their audience along for a fantastic ride.Wendy Stuart is an author, celebrity interviewer, model, filmmaker and hosts “Pandemic Cooking With Wendy,” a popular Youtube comedic cooking show born in the era of Covid-19, and TriVersity Talk, a weekly web series with featured guests discussing their lives, activism and pressing issues in the LGBTQ Community.Tym Moss is a popular NYC singer, actor, and radio/tv host who recently starred in the hit indie film “JUNK” to critical acclaim.

Sherry Vine (a.k.a. Keith Levy) has been performing her hilarious comedy shows, which features her "live" singing and saucy renditions of hit songs for over 30 years, earning her the title of Drag Legend. In this episode, we hear Keith's joyful coming out story amidst the growing pains of self identity, and the hilarious reality of having to come out "twice", once as a queer man and secondly as a drag performer. She is the star and writer of her own variety show, She's Living For This, which is currently streaming on Hulu and can be seen in numerous movies and TV shows. She is a founding member of Theatre Couture, and is The Queen of YouTube, where her video parodies have been viewed over 19 million times. Sherry recently moved to LA where she can be seen as “Blanche” in Golden Girlz Live, Battle of The Bitches (with BFF Jackie Beat) and is enjoying living the showgirl life. We find out how Willam is spending her time and it turns out it’s just working constantly! We are joined by Aunt Jukie and we break down the utility of gloryholes in minimizing risk while getting laid in the age of corona. Special thanks to Sherry Vine for the use of her PARODY of Laura Branigan's hit Gloria about using glory holes as safer sex during Corona. You don't know drag! Hear the backstory on how Heklina came to know and love our eighteenth very special guest, the total sweetheart Ms. Sherry Vine. She tells us all about winning over crowds on tour opening for Bianca Del Rio and making fans around the world. We theorize about the last time it was that Jackie Beat spent a dollar on a costume. Sherry then explains why she moved from New York to Southern California and we find out a little bit about how life has changed since the end of the last of her last live shows in Puerto Vallarta. She tells us all about I love Lucy, Golden Girls, and 9 to 5 parodies, quarantine parody music videos, and sherryvine.com online shows. We run through a lightning round of little ditties Marc dug up online about Sherry Vine; she tells us about some drama llama from the making Wigstock I & II, tells us all about some of her favorite projects from the past, and we get a few little hints about what’s coming. Listen in to find out what’s been happening with one of our (top 18) favorites, Ms Sherry Vine!
A 1970 made-for-TV offering in the style of What’s the Matter With Helen? and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, this one subs Anthony Perkins into what is usually the “old lady in peril” role. It also stars Julie Harris and Joan Hackett, and to discuss the melodramatic thrills, we have the wonderful Sherry Vine — drag queen, comedian and frequent collaborator of Sam’s in campy live stagings of classic sitcommery. They make delightful conversation. One good thing about Miss Rona is that she has us all in the kitchen making good food and stress eating the anxiety away. The reason they call it COVID-19 is because of the 19 pounds we’re gonna put on when this is all over.Food trends come and go and while we are baking bread and living off dolonga coffee for now, some truly awful foods will thankfully be banished to the trash can: charcoal based foods, rainbow colored foods, and unicorn anything, basically food that looked like the key ingredients is makeup for drag queens.Do you really want to eat your makeup?Today we take a look at ridiculous popular food trends that will probably perish during the coronavirus pandemic and how folks are changing the way they eat at home.Plus–➤ Which foods boost your body’s ability to fight disease?➤ Leslie Jordan becomes an internet sensation with his hilarious videos.➤ RuPaul’s latest meme is a gas!If you can't frack yourself.....➤ Jackie Beat, Sherry Vine and Alaska are self isolating as the Golden Girls.____________________FEAST OF FUN IS MADE POSSIBLE BECAUSE OF FABULOUS PEOPLE LIKE YOU.LISTEN TO THOUSANDS LEGENDARY SHOWS with NO ADS:★ feastoffun.com/plus

International drag darling Sherry Vine and former Here-TV executive Josh Rosenzweig are combining their style, humor and sensibility into a one-stop, digital destination for all of the world’s LGBTQ entertainment needs. gaySVTVworld premieres February 14 with original shows, specials, music videos, short films and more: all free at YouTube.com/MissSherryVine. “The world needs gaySVTVworld because they are hungry for original programming from top queer talent,” says Sherry Vine. “We got ‘em all: Haus Of Mimosa, Pickles, David Serrano, Chris Semers … and this is only the beginning.” “gaySVTVworld is created by and for LGBTQ audiences,” adds Josh Rosenzweig. “Nobody is going to tell our stories like we will. While our visibility has increased enormously over the last decade with the launch of several LGBT television networks, it is essential that the community have an online space to call our own. A destination where we can go to find like-minded artists and feel the power of the collective.” While gaySVTVworld draws inspiration from a traditional television model, it also presents a modern digital age spin with all shows under-seven minutes long. “We’re offering short content so people can view several episodes in the same amount of time as one traditional TV show,” explains Vine. “Maybe you only have five free minutes on your way to work or during a lunch break. That’s enough time to catch a hilarious episode of Fashion Puhleez on your smart phone!” The network will kick off its first season with a slate of eight programs, releasing daily, beginning with Sunday’s Sherry and the Greek, an original talk series starring Vine and Chris Semers, discussing a variety of fun topics and performing skits, characters, and musical numbers. On Monday, queer notables share their pop culture picks on EduGAYtion. Then Tuesday, The Rachel Zoe Show meets Project Runway in Fashion Puhleez, with lead players in the beauty industry discussing fashion, club couture and styling. House of Mimosa presents The Anita & Gina Marie Show, a comedic show that chronicles the daily antics of two women as they cause mayhem throughout Astoria, Queens (singing out – or rather, airing out – all their dirty laundry) gets viewers over hump day. Then its Throwback Thursdays with Pickles, a look back at a public access show that offers a glimpse into the gay, downtown art and nightlife scene of New York in the nineties. Celebrate the end of the workweek with The Flames of Hell’s Kitchen, a telanovela about the life of Sherry Vine, her manager Gloria, assistant Busted and sexy Latino boyfriend, Diego. In the first season, Sherry wins big, loses everything, slips back into a life of drugs, and faces an intervention. The show stars David Serrano, Busted, Patty McKeever and Al McKeever. Finally, on Saturday, it’s movie night as gaySVTVworld presents The SVTV Short Film Fest, an online festival dedicated to spotlighting the very best LGBTQ filmmakers from around the world. Each week is a new short film along with interviews from the filmmakers and special bonus features. In addition, What’s In Your Purse?, a hilarious two-minute segment featuring Vine cornering nightlife celebrities and forcing them to reveal the contents of their bags, will run throughout the week. “We knew launching a network was an ambitious endeavor but there are so many things we didn’t think of,” admits Vine. “Josh and I and our amazing team have literally been working every day on gaySVTVworld for almost a year now.” “So much of that time has been spent on brainstorming ideas, reaching out to people we wanted to work with and deciding on a slate we felt confident about,” continues Rosenzweig. “We have several shows that are in various stages of development. Our intention is to continue to keep rolling out new programs, music videos and comedy sketches.” Sherry Vine’s hilarious video parodies have made her a YouTube sensation, being viewed over 14,000,000 times! She got her start in downtown NYC but today tours the world with her live singing and comedy shows. Vine has appeared on the off-Broadway stage, in numerous films including Stonewall and Wigstock and she starred in two seasons of Here TV’s variety show, She’s Living For This, produced and directed by Josh Rosenzweig. Josh Rosenzweig served as SVP of Here TV for ten years where he produced over two hundred hours of television programming including She’s Living For This and Heart of Broadway: An Inside Look at Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. He was also the host of the hit TV talk show Just Josh. Rosenzweig has directed many music videos, award-winning films and over forty productions for the theater. He has been nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards. gaySVTVworld premieres February 14 at YouTube.com/MissSherryVine. —————————————— Scanlon began her political activism as a child growing up in Arkansas. This special Swish Extra features our all-time favorite and most loyal guest, the one-and-only international parody queen herself, Miss Sherry Vine. The much anticipated debut of the second season on her HereTV variety show, "She's Living for This" drops today, Friday, May 31, so we caught up with Sherry to find out what we can expect from the new batch of shows, why she loves merry ol' England, and much more. Always a hoot--and dirty, dirty, dirty--we're thrilled to count this remarkable entertainer as one of our great friends. Features Sherry's brand new parody of "Thift Shop," too, now called, "Ho Shop," naturally.
This week Dale & Scott welcome David Perruzza back to the show as their special guest host. The boys are talking about the recent Swish photo shoot; what's cool about spring in Washington, DC; why people need to friggin' tip their bartenders; why the government is after Beyonce and Jay-Z; why Kathy Griffin may have lost her Bravo show; why gay marriage will shorten your lifespan; why a gay television reporter lost his job; why the movie Behind the Candelabra was too gay for the theaters; and, much more pop culture and gay news of the week. And, our Gay-on-the-Ground in New York City, Justin Luke, calls in to tell us about the hottest new nightlife events in his city, why he's putting together an all-gay boy band, and what's up with his red hot fiction writing. We love our NYC connection! Plus, as a part of this spring musical episode, we've got a silly new parody from our great friend Sherry Vine. It's called, Grindr Queen, and we KNOW you'll be able to identify with this one. As a special bonus, too, we have an exclusive sample from DJ Drew G's brand new "Dirty Pop 31" megamix. If y'all don't know Drew's work, you're missing out. This internationally known deejay gets around, and we give you all his upcoming gigs, too, from L.A. to DC and everywhere in-between. Music, gossip, pop culture news, (implied) nudity, boy bands...it's all on this week's episode of the Swish Edition!
It's the gender bending episode to top all gender bending episodes, y'all. We've got New York City nightclub performer and comedian Marti Gould Cummings; the return of Sherry Vine & Josh Rosenzweig from Here TV; and, actor and director Christopher Logan up in here, up in here. First up, Marti Gould Cummings drops by to tell us about how he went from his family's Maryland farm to take New York City by storm, befriending the city's Broadway and nightlife entertainers and quickly transforming himself into a unique, gender bending cabaret performer and comedian. He hosts four shows a week, has his own series of web shows, and despite being insanely busy, finds time for activism and he's calling out to his generation to wrap it up before you hit the kitty. You'll just have to listen to hear how that came to be. It's scandalous! Hear Marti at the 20:00 minute mark. Then, we've got the return of our most-frequent Swish guest, the international phenomenon that is Miss Sherry Vine along with her HereTV boss and best friend Josh Rosenzweig. It's always a party when we get together with our old friends after one of Sherry's shows (she was performing at DC's Level One/Cobalt last Friday night) and together we talked about Sherry's newest parody's, originals, and her touring schedule, the return of her television variety show, She's Living for This, what's new at the all-gay network, and much more. Hear all the craziness with Sherry, Josh, Scott & Steve at the 52:58 minute mark. After that, Scott chats with actor and director Christopher Logan. Known best for his role as Patty Melt in the cult classic movie Connie & Carla, Christopher has starred in tons of films and television shows and now he's produced an amazing coffee table book called, dr.a.g., featuring amazing photographs of drag queens from New York to Las Vegas to the queens of RuPaul's Drag Race (including Sherry Vine, too!). It's a great collection, created to support independent film projects and we recommend it highly. Listen in on Christopher at the 1:20:30 mark. The boys also talk about the Inauguration, including the First Lady's bangs; what the gays think of vaginas; same-sex-coupled British monarchs may get to have their offspring claim the thrown; Lindsay Lohan just keeps diggin' a bigger hole; Hasbro is retiring one of the classic Monopoly pieces; It's a mega-show people...and we hope you'll join us for all the fun. Word.
This week the boys talk about decorating for Christmas; what movies suck; the Beekman Boys (aka The Evil Gays) win CBS' Amazing Race; gay kisses on TV; Scott guest hosts an episode of PriceCast: An Unofficial Price is Right Podcast; the gays are getting married in Washington state; Heterosexuality Awareness Month; and, our friends got back from the Caribbean Drag Cruise (and, yes, Steve was right: it wasn't an official RuPaul's Drag Race event) with tales to tell. Then, Dale, Scott & Steve welcome Jeff Gundvaldson to the show. He's the president of RSVP Vacations and he shares stories about how the first company to charter cruise ships for exclusive gay vacations go started. From choice entertainment, to classic theme parties, to exciting itineraries that has something for everyone. Okay, maybe it sounds like a big fat commercial to you, but your hosts feel so strongly that gay cruises are the ultimate vacation option, that they're trying to convince everyone to give it a try. Scott & Steve will be setting sail with RSVP in 60 days for a Caribbean cruise to write home about! Can't wait. Whether it's the Caribbean, an Alaskan adventure, or a riverboat cruise through Eastern Europe...try a gay cruise, y'all! In the meantime, hear us talk to Jeff at the 44:20 minute mark. And finally, the boys play Sherry Vine's newest NSFW, dirty, dirty parody of wil.i.am & Britney Speers' Scream and Shout...but her's is called, Squeeze and Fart, naturally. And it's destined to be a new holiday classic!
The boys are back together in the DC studio for a fun new show that covers Prince Harry's naked romp in Vegas; Mattel is releasing their first drag queen Barbi; Snooki pops out a baby; Calvin Klein's ex-boytoy is writing a tell-all book; Kid Rock loves Romney-Ryan; and, Salt Lake City still hates the gays. Then, Scott chats with the one-and-only Frenchie Davis. This talented, enterprising singer, former Broadway star, and American Idol and The Voice contestant, has her first solo album of dance tracks coming out September 4--including the first single, Love's Got a Hold On Me--she's working on a Christmas album, and she's creating her own line of plus-size lingerie. Girl has a lot going on! We especially liked her remembrances of her four year stint in Rent on Broadway and what it meant for her social life, for one. Hear the Frenchie chat at the 28:50 minute mark of the show. And after a short tease of Frenchie's new song, we've got the latest crazy parody from Sherry Vine. As you might have guessed, Sherry took the Scissor Sister's Let's Have a Kiki and made it into, Let's Have a Pee Pee. All that, plus we remind you that you have until September 10 at 5:00pm EST to sign up for our C-IN2 GRIP Athletic prize pack giveaway and we'll tell you what we have on tap for Labor Day weekend. We hope you dig this fun new episode!
We're always thrilled to feature new musicians on the show. And when this week's singer turns out to be a super hottie, model, dancer, actor, and artist by the name of MIKE MUNICH, we're on top of the world. Mike calls in to chat with Dale, Scott & Steve about his longtime role on FOX's Glee (he's part of the Vocal Adrenaline group); how he carried Lady Gaga's infamous egg into the American Music Awards; danced in several of her videos; has performed with Adam Lambert and Kei$ha and countless others; has graced hundreds of magazines and websites as a sought after model; and, he's starred in a string of videos for Andrew Christian. Sigh. It's too bad this boy lives such a boring life! We also talk to him about his own music. His "Beat the Beat" and "Referee" singles have been heating up lately and his full EP is due soon. He'll be on the road performing at Pride events, too, so get ready, America. It's gonna be one hot summer! Also up this week, our resident gay etiquette expert STEVEN PETROW returns for his monthly segment with Scott. They talk about whether it's kosher to turn funerals into fundraisers; the dangers of social media-ing while drunk; the proposed boycott of North Carolina; and, the true meaning of 'fashionably late.' (Hint, it does NOT mean showing up for dinner 45 minutes after everyone sat down.) Our conversations with Steven keep getting better and we love that he's a part of the show. And mixed throughout today show, the hosts chat about pre-Capital Pride events; Scott's run-in with Sherry Vine in the Garden State; whether Jay-Z means what he says about same-sex marriage; Clay Aiken and his Face the Nation appearance; all the Fall 2012 television announcements from the networks; and, how one crazy lady in Nebraska thinks rimming will kill within 30-minutes flat! No joke. And finally, it's the third and final week of our new giveaway contest! You can enter to win a C-IN2 Prize Pack if you enter by 5:00pm EST on May 22. Find out how.
We were thrilled to welcome industrial pop singer Danny Blu to the show. A longtime Swish Edition listener (and friend of frequent guest Sherry Vine), Danny has recently released a much talked about first music video for The Factory Blu's song, Set Me On Fire, and it's hard not to be impressed with the production values and the strong, very important message. Danny channels Jesus Christ--he was bullied, too, don't you know--in a modern day, high school-based tale. An advocate of embracing your inner freak and living life with no regrets, we're digging' Danny's first album, full of originals that are a mash-up of the harder 90's music he loved while growing up, married with the pop and dance sounds of today. We play Set Me On Fire after the chat so you can get a taste of our new favorite bisexual rocker. Also up, the hosts are happy to help spread the word about Danny's Kickstarter campaign, aimed at financing his group's effort to produce their second album. Kick in a few bucks, people. After that, Swish's senior contributor Steven Petrow is back for his monthly gay etiquette segment featuring advice on where it's cool and not cool to wear flip-flops, whether or not you should cover up your body art at a job interview, and what to do when your best friend asks you to cover up his cheating ways. We love when Steven pays a visit and we always learn something new. The boys also discuss their weekend festivities, including attending past Swish guest Scott Nevins' comedy show, the Cherry Blossom Parade (where Steve and Scott got to grab a photo with last week's guest Kristine W--see the pic below) and dancing the night away at Town Danceboutique; the Space Shuttle Discovery buzzes your nation's capital; Brad & Angelina get engaged even though they said they wouldn't until we ALL can; singer Jason Mraz certainly loves the gays; Grindr bestows it's first annual travel awards; not everyone wants the gays at Disney World; our friend, porn star Colby Keller shows up in Jonny McGovern's latest music video; strokes can turn straight guys gay!; we love creative porn titles; and, much, much more. Come laugh with us!
This week, Scott and Steve have gathered to celebrate the birthday of one of their own. Dale turns 31 today (damn him)! Whilst cutting the cake and marveling at all the balloons and streamers in the studio, the hosts take a moment to turn to their Gay-On-The-Ground Justin Luke and his short chat with the founding partner of New York City's OUT XL complex, IAN REISNER. Ian gives some insight into the creation of this new popular mega-club, hotel and restaurant in Hell's Kitchen. And it just so happens that your dear hosts will be celebrating Dale's birthday at OUT XL tonight after they attend a Human Rights Watch reception with the cast of Broadway's Evita. The boys can't wait for their New York City adventure and Scott, it should go without saying if you know anything about him, can...not...wait...to meet Ricky Martin. He is beside himself and Dale and Steve are praying that Scott doesn't make a fool of himself in public. (Details next week.) Also up this week, we have more SHERRY VINE. Sherry has teamed up with her friend PEPPERMINT for a parody song made from Jennifer Lopez' Papi. They've turned it into Bidet and, girl, this one is dirty. We have the song for you. The boys also discuss Madonna's new MDNA album and all the news she made last weekend; whether transexuals should be allowed to compete for Miss Universe; the two gay men that were arrested for having sex on an Atlantis ship balcony in port; the National Organization for Marriage's war against Starbucks; the movie Bully will be released tomorrow without a rating; you too can chat with an honest to goodness Hollywood has-been or celebrity wanna-be, for a fee; and, much, much more. All that, plus we announce our newest Twitter winner. And if you regularly listen to all our craziness and become a new follow on Twitter between now and April 3, and you could be a Swishy Prize Pack winner, too!
Singer/songwriter Tom Goss returns to the studio as our guest host this week, replacing Dale, who's finishing up a week at clown college. Scott & Steve are treated to an extra special treat, too, when Tom pulls out his guitar and sings two brand new songs from his forthcoming album, Lost Songs and Underdogs. You'll hear Pills and Chalk and I Do, two great tunes. Plus, this cutie folk-rock singer shares with us details of his massive spring/summer tour of America. And Scott was excited to swing open the studio doors last Friday night to welcome back Sherry Vine and, for the very first time on Swish, New York-based drag sensation, Bianca del Rio. The girls were featured performers at the Cobalt/Level One complex across the street from the studio that night, so a team of friends, who were at the show, too, came over the studio to watch. You'll hear them in the background for this silly little chat (at the 42:20 mark). The boys also discuss Scott's new iPad; Beyonce's just-announced, post-baby concerts in Atlantic City (we're going!); setting expectations before a Grindr hookup; the violence against gays solidarity march in Washington (and you can help right here); Rosie's OWN show is officially cancelled; X-Files actress Gillian Anderson comes out; the hot twins of Elephant have a new song and video out, which we are loving; Willam Belli's Chik-fil-A parody video; Santorum's war on pornography; and, much, much more. All that, plus we announce our newest Twitter winner. And if you regularly listen to all our craziness and become a new follow on Twitter between now and March 27, and you could be a Swishy Prize Pack winner, too!
This week, we welcome Metro Weekly magazine publisher/editor Randy Shulman to the studio. A longtime movie reviewer, he brings along his picks for this weekend's Academy Awards. And he's as confused as we all are with many of this year's nominations. For one, Melissa McCarthy for Bridesmaids, asking, "...she's been nominated for pooping in a sink?" If you're in the Washington, DC area this Sunday, go watch the Oscars at Town Danceboutique with Randy, an event to support the DC Center. It's called, Glammer, Glitter & Gold. Catch Randy and the Oscar segment at the 37:50 mark. Then, we've got our very good friend Sherry Vine via Skype. We catch up with her about her upcoming big weekend: Her television variety show She's Living For This premieres on hereTV this Friday, February 24 and she celebrates her 20th anniversary as Sherry at NYC's Barracuda this Sunday, February 26. We can never get enough of our global parody queen...and we have her latest song that she recorded with the great Pandora Boxx, a parody of Madonna's Give Me All Your Love, now called, Give Me All Your Muff...of course. Sherry kicks in at the 1:10:50 mark. We also welcome Justin Luke, our Gay on the Ground in New York City, back for a second week in a row! Live from the streets of Hell's Kitchen, he chats with B Magazine publisher Peter Ian Cummings. He talks about the magazine's 18-35 year old demographic, standing up for peoples' rights to express their sexuality, how he thinks gay people are fundamentally different than straight people (it's not just who we sleep with, he says), his thoughts on the mainstream press and their coverage of the gays, his rant against smoking and drinking, and much more. It's a fun, slightly controversial conversation we think you'll dig. Justin and Peter start at the 1:26:35 mark. All that, plus all of our signature brand of pop culture & gay news commentary, including Scott & Steve's separate trips to New York City where they saw Broadway's Priscilla Queen of the Desert (see it!); Madonna's tour; Whitney's funeral; our love of actress Kristen Bell; Chris Brown & Rihanna back together; Ricky Martin's Details interview; more about NBC's Smash; and, we announce our newest Twitter winner. Listen to all the fun and you could be a winner, too!
We love to support gay business and continue our tradition of championing the ones that are getting it right. And we love when people come see us in the studio. And when that guy happens to be the co-founder and CEO of the hottest brands of fetish wear and related products on the scene--Nasty Pig--we're over the moon. David Lauterstein was in Washington, DC for the annual Mid-Atlantic Leather weekend and he took time out of his busy schedule to hang with Dale, Scott & Steve over a few beers. This guy started with a closet-sized store front in Manhattan, a sewing machine and a measly $50, and over the course of 17 years, has created quite a juggernaut. David shares stories about products that took off; how their super hot new jeans model got the job (see him below...and, um, to our dismay, he's straight!); his absolute commitment to high-quality products and construction; and, his definition of what his brand is really all about: "A nasty pig is a man who walks the street owning it." Need a jockstrap? Play sheets? Leather pants? Or some kick-ass jeans? Nasty Pig's got it. And, sure, we're doing a commercial, but when we love something, we love to share! Dale, Scott & Steve also discuss: Their adventures at Mid-Atlantic Leather last weekend (see the pics below); Steve's trip to Atlantic City to see Kelly Clarkson; Scott goes to see Sherry Vine and Peppermint perform; Cyndi Lauper isn't happy with the use of "True Colors" for political reasons; A bitter Elton John & David Furnish rip into Madonna; Did Jodie Foster get outed because of her beaver?; Funny gal Aisha Tyler speaks out about same-sex marriage; ABC cancels the controversial Work It; One of Costa's ships sinks in Italy--are we scared?; Calvin Klein's on-again, off-again super hot 21 year old boy toy (see him below); and, Much more gay hilarity!
How did it get to be Thanksgiving time already? Time sure flies when you're making gay comedy magic! This week, the show is out a day early with a jam packed (if not slightly hot; Scott had the miss up a bit too high) new episode. First up, the boys break down Sunday night's American Music Awards; they discuss Tori Spelling's boobs on Twitter; marvel at Arnold Schwartzeneggar's hot son Patrick; Steve and Scott tell ya how their personal trainers are trying to KILL them; and, they tell you why Lady Gaga is being honored at next month's Trevor Live event. Then, Dale, Scott & Steve welcome INAYA DAY to the show. She's a world-renown, chart topping dance and house singer/songwriter who also dabbles in funk, R&B, gospel, musical theater and jazz. Besides her own classics like "Nasty Girl" and "Keep Pushin'," this lady pens tunes for countless others, she's started her own record company, and she's in two very active bands. She lives and breathes all kinds of great music, and it shows. You'll dig our extended chat with this very friendly first lady of the dance floor. But after that, we have another queen for you! That's right, our favorite NYC drag superstar is back and with the boys LIVE in the new studio. SHERRY VINE spills the beans on her new television variety show for HERE-TV called "She's Living For This"--we can't wait for it to debut in February--and behind the scenes secrets about how she writes her hits and what her parents think when they accidentally Google her! Funny stuff. Of course the boys also continue their Christmas and Atlantis Cruise countdowns; Dale shares with you his favorite holiday movie; and, back to Gaga again to discuss her very out-of-the-box Thanksgiving special. Episode 160 is called, "Turkey Time," because it's our Thanksgiving episode, y'all. This week's show is brought to you by AdamMale.com (use the offer code "SWISH" for 50% off any item, free shipping and three free DVD's) and Atlantis Events' January 29, 2012 Caribbean cruise.
It's the very last episode taped in the Secret Underground Studio...and Dale missed it because he's on vacation in sunny Florida this week (more on that later). So, Scott & Steve, having to fill the gap, welcome nationally known singer/songwriter TOM GOSS and performer/actor JEFFREY JOHNSON to the basement to entertain us. The boys play two songs LIVE in the studio (a first!), arranged just for the Swish Edition as a lead up to their "Under The Covers" pair of weekend shows at DC's Black Fox Lounge. You'll dig "Lover" and "Love the One You're With." And because we're all about the music this week, we're thrilled to have another SHERRY VINE parody for ya. This is Lady Gaga's "Americano" like only Sherry could dream up. It's a little dirty, but that's why we love her. And if you are in the New York City area this coming Sunday, October 23, head to Barracuda Lounge at 11:00pm for 2-4-1 drink specials then the premiere of two brand new Sherry videos at midnight! Plus we have our regular gay-themed discussions. This week's topics include: Scott & Tom's adventures in back rooms; straight weddings galore; major comic book series add gay characters; Grindr changing the face of gay sex; actor Zachary Quinto comes out, as well as an ABC anchor; Justin Bieber releases Christmas music in October (66 days too early, we believe); we remind you to mark your calendar for our "25th Annual High Heel Race" LIVE video coverage; we found MORE dirty stuff that our friends wrote online; a new study reports that we're all basically whores and that bottom doesn't hurt; and, much gay hilarity! Warning: Scott may or may not have had a bit too much vodka during this taping. Listen with us as his speech gets more slurred as we go along. Fun stuff. Episode 156 is called, "Music Men," but it also features one of our favorite ladies, the lovely Sherry Vine.
This week we've got Twinks.com's Twink of the Year...SETH KNIGHT. He joins us in-studio and talks about how he got started in porn earlier this year, his thoughts on his fellow porn stars, who he'd Fuck, Marry or Kill, and what his boyfriend thinks about his wanting to move into dungeon and gang bang scenes. Yup, we said it. This interview is just a taaaaad dirty. But you'll dig this twinkie 20-year old. Also on this packed episode, we have a new song from out 21-year old up and coming pop star, TRISTAN SCHACK. His Got Me Crazy song is our new music feature. (That's Tristan below...and see more at the bottom of this post.) And what would episode 149 be without a chat with our favorite parody queen, SHERRY VINE? Scott chats with her about how he slept through her DC performance (well, it's not as bas as that sounds), her plans to make a video with Margaret Cho, and we've got the new remix of her original, Looking For a Good Time. Whew. But, as always, before all of that, the boys hosts talk about... 15 bottles of champagne and a 9" dick; Dale can milk his cow in 40 seconds; Steve is packing for New Orleans' Southern Decadence as we speak; The shit show that was this year's VMAs, including: Gaga going too far, Bieber the douche, Beyonce steals the show with her baby news, and Tyler the Creator says 'faggot' 213 times on his freshman album; Absolutely Fabulous is filming a Christmas special RIGHT NOW in London; Scott & Steve go on a late-night date; The Foo Fighters get naked and gay in a rest stop shower; ABC announces the new Dancing with the Stars cast, including their first trans person; Bisexuals really do exist; Don't thank God, thank Gaga...Lady Gaga severs ties with Target; and, Designer vagina! Episode 149 is called, "It Hurts and It Hits." Or at least it better.
In this disjointed episode, we welcome performing legend Joey Arias to the show. She is best known as the Mistress of Seduction from Las Vegas' Zumanity show, where she served as hostess for six years. Joey has performed all over the world, starred in the movie Too Wong Foo (and she dishes about the dearly departed Patrick Swayze which you need to HEAR to believe!), and we got to see her perform at Washington, DC's Level One with our good friend Sherry Vine. They put on a show to write home about and Dale, Steve & Scott chatted with them as soon as they left the stage. This is one backstage chat you do NOT want to miss! Sherry, who is always such a good sport when it comes to the Swish crew, tells us all about teaming up with comedienne/actress/singer (and frequent Swish guest) Margaret Cho and DJ Gomi on the new song, Sexting, which we play for you. You'll love the tune and we encourage you to get a copy for yourself. Because Steve was in Virginia, Dale & Jason were in DC, and Scott was at the Jersey shore, this episode was taped via Skype. But we just couldn't let a week go by without a brand new show for ya! Also on this crazy episode... Dale sums up the Red Crush party; Chik-fil-A continues to donate to anti-gay groups; A lesbian couple saves dozens in Norway; Jason and Scott have the weird news that made headlines this week; Hundreds of same-sex couples get married in New York; Maryland may be the next state to allow gay marriage; Is anyone shocked that Amy Winehouse died?; The Second Annual Gay Day in America is coming; Scott gets a Kevin Keller #1; Why we like the Eating Out movies; and, We've got a WINNER for our second set of Camp 2011 tickets! Episode 144 is called, "Giving You The Dish," a line Joey said during our chat, and it's coming to straight from the drag queens' mouths!
This week we welcome the amazing storyteller, George Takei. This actor and activist was an absolute delight as he told tales of his "It's Okay To Be Takai" campaign to counter those nutjobs down in Tennessee who want to make it illegal for teachers to use the word 'gay.' He also addresses the Tracy Morgan anti-gay comments from last week, talks about his coming out, all about the powerful new musical called Allegiance that he's creating for Broadway, and his kick-ass role on the Nickelodeon show, Supah Ninjas. Apparently, it's supah! George was such a good sport and we learned so much from this dedicated, talented legend. And you'll loooove his voice. Yup, we didn't even mention it until paragraph three, but you and the WHOLE WORLD knows George Takei best as Mr. Sulu from the original Star Trek television show and feature movies. We certainly encourage you to take time to listen to the complete 50-minute, completely uncut chat with George, which includes expanded conversation and history of Prop 8 as well as some very interesting information about Star Trekconventions on five continents, his thoughts on actor John Cho in the role he originated, and how the show's creator Gene Roddenberry chose the cast and the character names. Not to be missed! It's available at swishedition.com. Also on this fun episode: Sherry Vine's newest (she never rests), "You're A Whore" to the tune of JLo's "On The Floor;" A wrap-up of DC's Capital Pride festivities; Neil Patrick Harris does it AGAIN on the Tony Awards; Still more of Weiner's wiener; The gay-hating GOP hopefuls debate; "NYC Prep" Actress Kelli's Tony Moran & Warren Rogg Radio Edit of "Gave Up On Love;" More news on Arnold's baby mama; A new song from out singer Aiden Leslie called, "Trying To Leave Now;" We're giving away a ticket to Camp 2011; and, All the gay news from Sean Bugg at Metro Weekly. Episode 138 is called, "You're So Takei."

This Thursday finds Dale, Scott and Jason in the studio...with an audience. For the first time ever, they broadcast both sound and video of the taping session LIVE on UStream. What happens when a guest cancels at the last minute? You wing it. And that's not a bad thing for the listener...'cause these boys can wing it. They bring it, even. Here's a run down of the fun new episode for January 27 -- Dale, Scott & Jason break down the just-announced Oscar nominations, discuss the Doritos' gay-themed commercial that may or may not air during next month's SuperBowl, tell you why MTV's "Skins" is getting tons of attention, why wearing earbuds in public could soon be illegal, and the guys read you another message from super-listener Pablo...he wants to see the hosts' dicks, for goodness sake!Scott plays you his on-location chat with Swishy good friend Sherry Vine and her special guest for the evening, Epiphany, at a recent show they did here in Washington, DC. Back in the studio, the guys discuss (among some unmentionables) singer Jason Mratz says that he won't get married until gay folks can, 1980's pop singer Tiffany accidentally outed New Kids on the Block's Jonathan Knight on live TV, and Swish Edition now has an Android app! What could be cooler than that? There's lots more...and all the national GLBT news from Metro Weekly's Sean Bugg, too.Episode 118 is called, "Who Has It Does It," only because it's something silly that Dale said during the taping. Enjoy this episode with only a nice pair of cozy socks on. Just don't forget to leave one earbud out; we wouldn't want you to get hurt.
It's the first hilarious episode of 2011 and it finds Dale, Scott & Jason getting back together in the secret underground studio after a week off for the holidays. They share tales of merriment, celebration and New Year's Eve debauchery; Dale & Scott tell you about their overnight trip to New York City for a Sherry Vine video premiere; they talk about the two new gay bars that just opened in Washington, DC and tell ya why Xbox 360 Kinect ROCKS the video game world.
