Moin! Viel Spaß beim Hören wünscht Ole --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Was war heute in Hamburg los?

Christina Lam is a racing driver for several series, is an instructor for Skip Barber and NASA, as well as a frequent contributor to Grass Roots Motorsports magazine. We first started following her as her “After A Crash” 9-part series started a few months back and became instant fans of her approach and her dedication to racing, education, and giving back to the racing community. On this episode, we go over how she started to be involved from a point of little knowledge and car/racing influences to where she is not only competing at national events, podiuming many times, and instructing others to improve their skills. It is a fantastic and quite rapid journey from newbie to racing veteran and her latest challenge last season will inspire you and hopefully get you to reach further towards ever higher goals. On our Dominating with Dawson, Ben goes over the difference in driving approaches for endurance racing, autocross, as well as various types of sprint racing. We hope you enjoy the episode! Best regards, Bill, Vicki, Jennifer, and Alan Hosts of the Garage Heroes In Training podcast and team members in the GHiT Immature Endurance Racing Team Highlights from the episode include: 1) We have had a long, long work week in the garage, so long that Vicki blanked on her name for a moment and Bill can’t spell SCCA, lol. 2) How she started off racing in Autocross one weekend and then had the opportunity of a lifetime drop in her lap a short time later (driving on a little place known as The ’Ring). 3) Christina’s first time on track was her first time driving a stick. This may be a good rival for what we ended up doing to Jennifer at her first race at Thompson Speedway. Not our best plan, but we did learn from it. 4) We share post-race hangover stories and several great ideas for further race cross training. Rally, V8 supercars, Ice racing, so much fun to be had, so little time. 5) What is involved with being a one-person team and how she accomplishes all that is required for a race weekend. The big key is prep. Second rule, prep. If you need a third rule, be prepped early. 6) We go into her accident last year and how she recovered, both physically and mentally, as well as her new race car. 7) What is involved with an SCCA protest 8) How Christina found her #46 M3 shell to start her new build 9) How much sleep she lost while working to prep for new car the upcoming 2019 national SCCA Runoffs in 60 days. 10) Christina goes into the plusses and minuses of an E46 M3 vs E46 330’s etc 11) Christina shares some of her nerves and almost PTSD after the wreck, what she had to work through and getting back into the car on track at VIR 12) What it is like being a female in a predominantly male sport at the track. 13) How Christina’s first car quickly turned into a second car. For the Men in Black portion of this review, skip ahead to about 8:30min mark... because Mike Wendt was randomly sent a mysterious VHS tape titled, NEKromantik, which Liam Stryker believes is, like in the film The Ring, going to murder Mike in 7 days. But yes, after discussing Mike's fate... THAT MOVIE SHOW looks back at 1997's Men In Black.

Here we are at the end of another franchise. Join us as we try to come to conclusions about the big questions this franchise raised. Why do these movies hate moms? What's going on with the timeline? What does it say about our culture that everyone waits until the very last minute to show someone else the video? We'll also talk about the Hays Code, public access television, tiny cds, and the haunted videotapes of our own childhood.
The guys area back to talk about fitness, sociology, and a whole lotta bulls#@t!
There's a whole new world of technology out there in 2017, and Samara's ready to take the jump to digital. Not only that, she's also going to college! We'll also talk about fire safety, PEMDAS, research ethics boards, and how Euridyce deserved better than Orpheus.

The intention behind this podcast is to inspire and encourage creative and mission-driven women to live a wholehearted life and follow the beat of their drum. Today's Guest: Bill Plympton, filmmaker, Hitler's Folly, Cheatin Mr. Media is recorded live before a studio audience full of professional Nazi hunters who don’t know what a ‘mockumentary’ is but suspect it has clues that will satisfy their lives’ work… in the NEW new media capital of the world… St. Petersburg, Florida! When you start watching Hitler’s Folly, the new film by Academy Award nominee Bill Plympton, the action starts immediately and you can’t help but get pulled in. And when you get to the end, you’ll probably do what I did – start over from the beginning and watch it again. BILL PLYMPTON podcast excerpt: "I was reading a newspaper and saw that Hitler was a big fan of 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.' I thought that was the most surreal thing I ever heard. Here is the most evil man in history, laughing over the antics of these dwarfs!" Hitler’s Folly is a mockumentary, a fake documentary, if you will, in the spirit of Spinal Tap or, if you want to be era-specific, I suggest H.G. Wells’ infamous radio play, “War of the Worlds.” In Plympton’s conceit, Adolf Hitler never lost his desire to become an artist – an animator, in fact, in the mode of Walt Disney. For Hitler, the German aggression of the second world war is nothing but an opportunity for him to create his cartoon magnum opus, an animated version of The Ring, featuring his Disney like creation, "Downey Duck." And those concentration camps? Wait until you learn what their real purpose was! BILL PLYMPTON podcast excerpt: "I didn't want to pay a lawyer $10,000 to go through the film and pay another $10,000 for rights, so we decided to release 'Hitler's Folly' for free. And if people like it, they can donate to my studio so we can make more films." By the way, Plympton calls Adolf Hitler a media star – “the Donald Trump of the past.” I don’t want to give away too much, but you will likely come to the end of Hitler’s Folly convinced that the Axis lost the Big One for a completely different reason than the one found in most history books. Hitler’s Folly will be streamed for free at www.plymptoons.com beginning on Friday, June 3. This is Bill Plympton’s second visit to Mr. Media; the first was in April 2015 to promote his animated feature, Cheatin. Key interview moments: • 3:20 Filmmaker Bill Plympton explains what inspired him to create a fake history of Adolf Hitler in Hitler's Folly; • 10:10 Anyone can stream Hitler's Folly for free from Plympton's website, http://www.plymptoons.com; Plympton explains why he is giving his latest film away at no cost; • 13:00 The star of Hitler's Folly is actor Dana Ashbrook, best known as "Bobby Briggs" from the original run of "Twin Peaks."
