Lewis was the chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) from 1963 to 1966, and played a seminal role in some of the 56 most important activities of the movement, including the Freedom Rides, the march from Selma to Montgomery and the March on Washington (at which he was the youngest speaker). He became a United States Representative in 1986. During their conversation, Lewis and Franklin discussed his emotions on the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights Act, the election of President Obama, what Lewis sees as current civil rights challenges, and his advice to the next generation. The two also discuss a trilogy of graphic novels called March that he and a staffer, Andrew Aydin, are writing. The series illustrates the congressman's life in the civil rights movement. Israel is in a very precarious situation, and for anyone in the United States to think that whatever happens in Israel and to Israel, that it won't affect us, is sorely mistaken. We have an election coming up that is making pro-Israel citizens in the United States very nervous.Baila Sebrow producer and host of The Definitive Rap sat down with Cindy Grosz, the United States Representative for Republicans Overseas in Israel, where approximately 500,000 Americans are eligible to vote. to discuss the issues at hand and what is at stake.  Cindy talked about Kamala Harris running against Donald Trump, and where she stands in terms of Israel. Also discussed was how Israel has been bracing for retaliation from Iran over the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 23rd, and whether this waiting period is about Iran playing psychological warfare. The concern about healthcare and the contrast with Trump and Vance as opposed to Harris and Walz in terms of our wallet, and how their economic policies differ was discussed at great length during this interview.  The show concluded with how the United Nations marked August 21st an International Day of Remembrance and Tribute To victims of Terrorism around the world with high level discussions taking place and even an exhibit, but no mention of the victims of October 7th in Israel carried out by Hamas.

The Colorado Supreme Court dis-enfranchised millions of voters. We are in uncharted legal water. Will our constitution survive this blatant attack?   This is not about Trump. This is about Marxists taking away citizens' Constitutional rights. This is what dictators and communists do to their political opponents.  If a government is powerful enough to take away your right to vote, it is powerful enough to take other rights. What other rights are the current administration going to attack?   The establishment sees Trump as a threat. Once he obtains the Republican nomination, expect chaos to try to stop him. The establishment has shown they are willing to do anything to stop Trump. Including taking away citizens' right to vote for the candidate of their choice. Including shutting down the economy, imposing mask mandates, and forcing you to inject an experimental shot or you lose your job/career. What other actions are they willing to take to protect their control, power, and money?     I predict 2024 could become very chaotic. Risk in 2024 likely will be highly elevated. We are in uncharted political waters.   Market risk will likely be higher. Reduce your market risk. Diversify a portion of your portfolio into guaranteed options.   Vanguard expects bond returns to be favorable for the next 5 -10 years. Your Personal Bank dividends are highly interest rate sensitive. Dividends will likely increase for the next 5 -10 years.     Your Personal Bank allows you to earn cash flow on money you spent every year for the rest of your life! This can help you offset inflation.   Interest rate sensitive assets will thrive while asset values on most stocks and real estate will suffer.    Your Personal Bank dividends are interest rate sensitive and will thrive in a higher interest rate environment. Dividends are likely to increase for the next several years due to higher interest rates.    Your Personal Bank funds grow income tax-free and you can access tax-free. This shields you from likely higher future tax rates. You can grow your money safely, with guarantees, tax-free, and highly liquid.

Richard McPherson is on the forefront of nuclear power and Green Energy movement. Richard shares with Brad his 50 year career (20 of which was in the Navy), the safety and power output of the Molten Salt Nuclear Battery, his involvement in the Hydrogen Car at Mercedes Benz, what's been learned from Chernobyl, and his own trepidation on E-Vehicles under their current state. So far, Green Energy appears to be unsustainable under current conditions, but Richard has a few solutions. This is a fascinating discussion on Green Energy and how Nuclear Power must be in our future. About Richard McPherson: Richard McPherson has been involved in nuclear energy since attending Admiral Rickover's famous Nuclear Power School in 1964. After his 20-year Navy career, Richard was asked, because of the Chernobyl accident, to be the United States Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency, on a special six nation group to study “Nuclear Fuel Cycle Facilities, the Environment and Public Opinion.” Today, his focus is on manufacturing consent and deploying the Molten Salt Nuclear Battery worldwide, thus fulfilling President Eisenhower's offer to provide American nuclear energy to the world for peace, prosperity and security. Hillary kicks off a new season of You and Me Both in conversation with House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries–a man after her own heart when it comes to getting things done.    Leader Jeffries, the United States Representative for New York's 8th Congressional District, was a litigator and New York State Assemblyman before moving up the ladder in Congress, from chair of the House Democratic Caucus to his current role as Democratic Leader. He also served as a House Manager overseeing the first impeachment of former President Trump.   Throughout his meteoric rise, though, he's never forgotten his Brooklyn roots – the Baptist Church, hip hop music, and the values of his civil servant parents. And he loves a good sports metaphor, as you'll hear in this wide-reaching conversation spanning his childhood, his bipartisan work on criminal justice reform, and his strategy for unifying his boisterous House caucus and refining the Democratic Party's message to the American people.   Read a full transcript HERE.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Jillian and I have been looking forward to this episode for months. It all came together on December 28, 2022, as we were thrilled and honored to have Mark Alford in studio for Episode 27 of The Papa Ron Podcast. Back in November, Mark won the election to represent the 4th congressional district of Missouri in the United States House of Representatives. He officially takes office on January 3, 2023. That said, we were very fortunate to get about an hour and 20 minutes of his time. We crammed in a lot during that time, discussing when he came to the decision to run for office, the feeling of "swimming upstream" at the end of his employment at WDAF TV, Fox 4, my (Ronnie) frustration with Washington D.C. "Swamp" (Republicans and Democrats), Mark's approach to uniting the country with a "American First" mentality and we finish up with a deep conversation about an old friend and very popular former Fox 4 TV meteorologist, the late Don Harmon...who took his own life 11 years ago. Although this chat flew by quickly, we really enjoyed everything discussed and look forward to Mark coming back to join us in studio one year from today to talk about his first year as a United States Representative in Congress. In conversation with Tracey Matisak, award winning journalist and broadcaster The United States Representative for California's 28th Congressional District and the Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Adam Schiff was the lead manager for the first impeachment proceedings against former President Donald Trump. He is a former member of the House Appropriations Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee, and served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Los Angeles from 1987 to 1993 and a California State Senator from 1996 to 2000. In Midnight in Washington, Schiff reveals an inside look at American democracy's darkest moment, his own path to becoming one of the former president's most prominent antagonists, and the principles we need to renew and reinvigorate in the struggle against autocracy. On August 16, 2022 Random House will publish the trade paperback of MIDNIGHT IN WASHINGTON: How We Almost Lost Our Democracy and Still Could, with a new afterword by the author Adam B. Schiff, United States Representative from California, and Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In his singular and explosive first book, Congressman Schiff chronicles step by step just how our form of government became so imperiled during the Trump presidency, and traces his own path to that moment — from serious prosecutor, to congressman with an expertise in national security and a reputation for bipartisanship, to liberal lightning rod, scourge of the right and archenemy of a president. Schiff takes readers into privileged settings and private conversations, and behind the scenes with his team of impeachment managers as they mounted a desperate defense of the constitution. In the years leading up to the election of Donald Trump, Congressman Schiff had already been sounding the alarm over the resurgence of autocracy around the world, and the danger that posed to the United States. But as he led the probe into the President's Russia and Ukraine related abuses of power, Schiff came to the terrible conclusion that the principle threat to our democracy now came from within. Midnight in Washington provides a vital inside account of one of America's darkest hours, and also serves as a warning: The Trump presidency has so weakened our institutions and compromised the Republican Party that the threat to our democracy will last for years, requiring unprecedented vigilance against a uniquely American form of authoritarianism, and an anti-democratic fervor now embraced by a large segment of the public.

Welcome to part 2 of The Pilgrims Society, The Crown's Best Kept Secret?•

In this episode we look at the writings of several authors concerning The Pilgrims, and try and add more pieces to the puzzle. The Pilgrims Society Of Great Britain, (Make America “GREAT” Again?”) & The Pilgrims Society Of The United States. .Formed in 1902 UK, and 1903 US, the year after Cecil Rhodes died, & by almost entirely Rhodes Roundtable group members from the Lord Milner led, Society Of The Elect. They claim to be just a group that meets a few times a year to celebrate, & promote relationships between the British, & United States. However, a few either brave, or crazy researchers have uncovered some interesting facts that they say, proves that America is mostly controlled by British forces, & the plan Cecil Rhodes started more than a century ago to bring the U.S. & the rest of the world under British Rule, has been secretly in the works all this time. I don't claim to be an expert, & my mind isn't made up about the subject, but I do find it fascinating. Some say the Royal Privy Council makes up the tip members of the Pilgrims in Great Britain. & that various members of the U.S. government have also been part of the fold. You can judge for yourselves. Now, to the rabbit hole, & beyond, far beyond the mainstream!

The Pilgrims Society, The Crown's Best Kept Secret? •

The Pilgrims Society Of Great Britain, (Make America “GREAT” Again?”) & The Pilgrims Society Of The United States, sometimes, referred to as: Wasp, or
White Anglo Saxon Protestants. There is said to be 300 members in the Pilgrim Society which, is where some say the title Committee Of 300 came from. Formed in 1902, the year after Cecil Rhodes died, & by almost entirely Rhodes Roundtable group members from the Lord Milner led, Society Of The Elect.
Thank you, Cheers, & Blessings    Also See:

This episode originally aired in July 2019 on the since retired Pertinent Information Podcast. In this episode, Josh and I talk about the current state of the two-party system in the United States. We go into how we got here, and do third party candidates have a shot at ever being elected to significant political positions. Right around when this episode originally aired, Justin Amash, who was originally a Republican, became an independent. And in April 2020 joined the Libertarian Party. Amash has served as a United States Representative for Michigan's 3rd congressional district since 2011. In 2020, he started a campaign to run for President as a Libertarian. However, he abandoned his campaign just a month in. On Twitter, Amash commented on the current state of our two-party political system saying: “Electoral success requires an audience willing to consider alternatives, but both social media and traditional media are dominated by voices strongly averse to the political risks posed by a viable third candidate. After COVID-19, America Will Never Be the Same (0:30)Guest: Chris Karpowitz, PhD, Professor of Political Science, Co-Director of the Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy, BYU; Grant Madsen, PhD, Professor of History, BYUThe COVID-19 pandemic clearly feels like a turning point for the United States. History books will probably refer to life before the 2020 coronavirus outbreak and after. I know I will. In what ways will our lives, our politics, our perceptions be permanently changed? Should Congress Meet Online? (19:28)Guest: Marci Harris, Former Congressional Staffer, Co-Founder and CEO of PopVoxLet's consider now how the pandemic might change the way Congress operates. At least five members of the House and Senate have contracted COVID-19 and many others have self-quarantined because of contact with an infected individual. Is it safe for members of Congress to be traveling back and forth between their districts and the Capitol every few weeks during a pandemic? Is there a way for Congress to do its business remotely during a crisis? So far House and Senate leadership have resisted the idea of going virtual. But there are others in Congress clamoring for it. Belarus May Be Next on Russia's “To Annex” List. (36:01)Guest: Matthew Schmidt, Associate Professor of National Security and Political Science at the University of New Haven. Belarus is a former Soviet bloc country landlocked and sandwiched between Russia and the European Union. Russian President Vladimir Putin could make it his – just like he annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014. In some ways Belarus and Russia make a good fit. They've been closed economically and culturally for years. And Belarus' leader is often called “Europe's last dictator.” Belarus has continued to be even more of a Soviet-style country than Russia has. Congressman Ben McAdams on His Encounter With COVID-19 (50:35)Guest: Ben McAdams, United States Representative for Utah's 4th Congressional DistrictClose to a half dozen members of US Congress have come down with COVID-19. Utah Democrat Ben McAdams was among the first and his battle with the virus included a week in the hospital. Why Women Are Genetically Superior (1:00:52)Guest: Sharon Moalem, MD, PhD, Author Of, THE BETTER HALF: On the Genetic Superiority of WomenAround the world, COVID-19 is killing more men than women. Dr. Sharon Moalem explains why.

In our 189th episode Stewart Baker has a chance to interview United States Representative Tom Graves, co-sponsor of the Active Cyber Defense Certainty (ACDC) Act, which allows those whose networks are under persistent attack to leave their network to conduct investigative action. Representative Graves offers a measured but deeply felt defense of the proposal and is optimistic about its reception. And, with the hard-hitting investigative approach The Cyberlaw Podcast is known for, I ask the tough question: “Is this bill a tribute to AC/DC – and if so, which song?” (Hint in the title of the blog post.)
