A familiar sight on our highways is reaching the end of the line. Kenworth just announced that their W900 semi-cab is being discontinued after 65 years. It's the third longest-running vehicle line behind the Chevrolet Suburban and the Ford F-Series pickup. When you think of a big rig, it's one of the visuals that comes to mind. It's the rig that the Snowman drove in Smokey and the Bandit. The look of this semi hasn't changed since the 1980s. They are so omnipresent that you likely pass one anytime you're driving on the interstate. But to stay competitive, Kenworth is making a change... It is day 3 of our 12 Nightmares Before Christmas. In December 1995, 19-year-old Conan Wade Hale and his accomplice, Jon Susbauer, unleashed a wave of terror in Oregon. It began on December 4, when they ransacked a woman's home, stealing valuables worth thousands and slashing furniture before fleeing. Days later, on December 16, they drove a stolen silver Chevrolet Suburban through Eugene and encountered two teenagers, Kara Krause and Jesse Jarvis, parked on a desolate road. After Susbauer posed as a property owner to engage the couple, a masked figure armed with a machete emerged from the darkness, forcing the teens to strip before sexually assaulting Kara. Both survived and later identified Susbauer as the "property owner," though only Jesse tentatively linked Hale to the attack. The duo escalated their spree on December 19, burglarizing another home to steal valuables, including a rabbit-fur jacket and a .38-caliber revolver, leaving behind more vandalism. By December 20, cruising the streets in the stolen Suburban, they crossed paths with Hale's 15-year-old ex-girlfriend Kristal Bendele and her friends. These young teens would not be as fortunate as those before. We're back after a very long hiatus with a new co-host and a new horrific case. In July 1985, a widowed tobacco heiress and her three children were preparing to leave for an errand when their Chevrolet Suburban exploded in their driveway, killing Margaret Benson and her son, Scott and severely injuring her daughter, Carol Lynn. Unraveling this case exposes the soft white underbelly of a wealthy yet dysfunctional family including dark family secrets, decades of manipulation, and a cancerous greed. But who could hate the Bensons enough to want the entire family dead? Sources: Mewshaw, M. (2001). Money to Burn, The True Story of the Benson Family Murders. Touchstone Greenya, J. (1987). Thursday afternoon, February 15, Audrii Cunningham doesn't arrive home at her usual time. Family members look for her, assuming she became distracted during the walk home from the bus stop. Panic sets in, then police are notified at 5:30 p.m. and an AMBER Alert is issued. Investigators start putting together a timeline of events. Police say Audrii was dropped off at her bus stop by her dad's friend, the man who lives behind their house, Don Steven McDougal. As investigators retrace Audrii's footsteps, they find that Audrii never made it to school. In fact, she didn't get on the bus. Investigators ask for security video, from various security cameras in the area and develop of Vehicle of Interest, a dark blue, 2003, Chevrolet Suburban. They also have a person of interest, the last person known to be with Audrii Cunningham, Don Steven McDougal. McDougal is arrested and placed in the Polk County Jail. Not for the disappearance of Audrii Cunningham, but on an unrelated aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. The public now finds out that McDougal has a criminal record dating back to 2001. Authorities say he was convicted on a charge of enticing a child and was sentenced to 2 years. So far, investigators continue to search areas around Lake Livingston where a backpack believed to be Audrii's was found. The Chevrolet Suburban hasn't moved too far away from its utilitarian origins nearly 90 years ago. Sure, the ‘Burban is nicer now than it's ever been, but the point remains that it's still a body-on-frame, truck-adjacent SUV that can haul plenty of people or whatever else you can stuff inside its massive cabin. Entering its 12th generation a few years ago, the Suburban did get some big upgrades and added an independent rear suspension to the mix. The revised suspension joins massive tech upgrades like the addition of Super Cruise to help the Suburban make an argument for itself at both of its pricing extremes. This High Country example sports a 6.2-liter V8, a ten-speed automatic transmission and nearly every creature comfort you'd want -- regardless of brand. On this episode of Quick Spin, Patrick Carone hops behind the wheel of the 2023 Chevrolet Suburban High Country and puts it through its paces. Carone takes you around this Suburban to highlight some of his favorite features before taking you along on a live drive review. Adding to that, Carone chats with host Wesley Wren about this Suburban, its features and the competition. The pair also talk about what it's like driving in New York City, and the Suburban's hefty price tag. Closing the show, the pair break down what makes this Suburban special.
Ross and Chris discuss the BMW X7 that Ross tested. Ross also spent some time with the Mini Clubman S. Chris traveled with both the Chevrolet Suburban and the Toyota Sequoia to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
A bomb threat halted testimony today in Alex Murdaugh's double murder trial. The courthouse was evacuated. Testimony resume at 2:30 p.m., and ended early at 4:30 p.m. Court resumes tomorrow morning. During the two hours of afternoon testimony, FBI electronics engineer Dwight Falkofske discussed his analysis of the computer data on Murdaugh's 2021 Chevrolet Suburban. Every time Murdaugh put his car in park on the night of the murders, it was recorded. The data appeared to suggest that Alex had only visited his mother for about 20 minutes that night. That is shorter than the amount of time Murdaugh told investigators. The 2022 Chevrolet Suburban makes me want a bigger garage. Because it's a bigger than full-size SUV. Great for large families and one of the largest non-commercial vehicles on the road. it's huge inside, versatile, and available with almost every conceivable option. Either from the factory or aftermarket. For example, it's hard to imagine a motorcade that doesn't include at least one Suburban. And Chevy Suburban is the original sport utility vehicle. With the first one rolling out of the factory in 1935. ⇒ Martin Chevrolet is iDriveSoCal's Chevy Dealer Top-3: 2022 Chevrolet Suburban Technology Versatility Interior New For 2022 Chevrolet Suburban New for the 2022 Chevrolet Suburban includes lots of available options across trims. Leading off with the 6.2-liter V8 engine. It's now available the RST Z71 and Premier trims. Plus there are technology options available throughout the trim configurations. And that's let by a larger digital instrument cluster. More camera views and driver assist technology. Also, new exterior color options are new for 2022. 134.1" wheelbase - 225.7" length Trims And Prices Chevrolet is offering six trim configurations for the 2022 Suburban. And those include one diesel along with two different V8s. Engines So there's a 5.3-liter V8 that puts out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Plus there's the bigger 6.2L V8 and that puts out 420 hp with 460 lb-ft or torque. There's also the 3.0L turbo diesel that delivers 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. 2022 Chevy Suburban Transmissions The same 10-speed automatic transmission comes with the 2022 Suburban. Regardless of engine you run. And that trans is both smooth shifting and efficient. Of course, you do have the decision of two-wheel or four-wheel drive. But considering the four-wheel drive option seems the way to go. Because there's not much difference in fuel economy. Fuel Economy The EPA estimates for Suburban's fuel economy vary. Because it depends on engine and transmission combination. 2022 Suburban MPG: 5.3L V8 2WD 15/20 4WD 14/19 6.2L V8 2WD 14/20 4WD 14/19 3.0L Turbo Diesel 2WD 21/20 4WD 27/26 *All city/highway Curb Weight And Towing Capacity Depending on the configuration, the 2022 Suburban has a curb weight of between 5,616 and 6,072 lbs. Available 420 hp / 460 lb-ft of torque What's It Look Like - 2022 Chevy Suburban Since Suburban's recent redesign it's been delivering great looks. Especially for an SUV of its size and capability. But its bold and athletic appearance adjusts with trim and options. It can have a more on or off-road look. Because Suburban delivers up to 144.7 cubic feet of cargo space. That's with both back rows of seats folded down Plus there's 93.8 cu-ft behind the second row and 41.5 cu-ft behind the third row. Yet Chevy's Suburban is comfortable for passengers too. And that's not only once seated but also while getting in and out of the SUV. Furthermore, all that space for both people and stuff is well laid out and functional. Because folding some or all the seats down is simple.
Raul Aguiar and Caroline Kane are the affable owners of Rancho La Bellota, a 2800-acre guest ranch located in Tecate Baja, California. Rancho La Bellota is a portal to another era. Free from cell service and wifi, guests quickly adapt to the rhythms of ranch life. The coffee is ready at 6:30 AM, and after a cup on the porch, the guests gather in the sun-washed dining room for a hearty breakfast. Following breakfast, it's time for a ride. I select a cowboy hat from the rack and make my way to the saddled horses. Jan, a La Bellota regular, knows the hat's owner (he leaves it at the ranch) and says it looks good on me. It's been forty years since I've ridden a horse, so I'll take the compliment. The horses at Rancho La Bellota are retired from a life of working cattle. Hence, as I mount my handsome palomino, Raul gestures to the horse and says, "it's an automatic with power steering and power brakes," letting me know with a wry smile that it's an easy horse to ride. In addition to being an expert horseman, Raul is a devoted overlander and drives a pop-top 1969 Chevrolet Suburban that he designed. He regularly hosts overlanders on their way up and down the Baja peninsula. He's quick to stress that he's not running a free campground; he's a proud native of Baja California who gladly shares his knowledge and experience to help travelers enjoy their time in Baja. We are at a highway in Mexico; we've been shot and attacked on the highway!” It was shortly after 2 p.m. on Feb. 15, 2011, and Avila's partner, Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Jaime J. Zapata, lay dying in the driver's seat of their armored SUV while Avila, shot three times himself, desperately pleaded for backup. The Chevrolet Suburban was under attack by the Los Zetas drug cartel's hitmen and time was running out. We are joined today by Victor Avila. Victor is a retired Supervisory Special Agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) who was recognized by HSI for his exemplary service and professional accomplishments while serving as a Special Agent at the El Paso Field Office and as an Assistant Attaché assigned to the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez and U.S. Embassies located in Spain, Portugal, and Mexico City. While on official assignment in Mexico in February 2011, Victor suffered multiple gunshot wounds and survived a violent ambush by the Mexican Los Zetas drug cartel where his partner, Special Agent Jaime Zapata, tragically lost his life. On today's episode, Victor and I have a frank discussion about our shared experiences on the U.S.-Mexico border, overcoming and surviving trauma, working for the U.S. government and the threats Americans face from the Mexican drug cartels who have operational control over vast portions of Mexico and the U.S. Southwest. Victor and Jaime's story humbled and inspired me at an early point of my career, and the shameful way that Victor and his family were treated by agency officials in the years following the attack continues to anger me. For his part, Victor has turned back to service following his retirement from HSI, continuing to advocate for border security, immigration reform and human trafficking awareness, as well as for legislation to protect U.S. government employees serving abroad. Victor was instrumental in lobbying for the passage of the “Jaime Zapata and Victor Avila Federal Officers and Employees Protection Act,'' and recently ran for Texas Land Commissioner. What started 45 years ago as the go-to parts house for early model Chevrolet Camaro's, has evolved into one the largest and most well stocked resources for the entire domestic collector vehicle marketplace. Classic Industries, located in Huntington Beach, California, predicted that many of the vehicles produced in the 1960s and 1970s were going to amass a large following. Now, more than four decades later, their catalogs cover items for Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge, Ford, Lincoln and Mercury. On this week's Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ Podcast, Product Development Specialist Craig Maiorana, walks us through the process of how Classic Industries anticipates what future reproduction parts will be needed for enthusiasts. We also touch on the fun we had fixing up the interior on our Road to Improvement 1981 Chevrolet Suburban, as well as what vehicles we think will become collectable next!
On this episode of the Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ Podcast we welcome Mark Campbell, Edelbrock's Vice President of Sales, to talk about how advancements in technology have revolutionized the automotive aftermarket. We then talk about BIG GREEN, the 1981 Chevrolet Suburban, which was used in Hemmings new road trip series, "Road To Improvement" and how the Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 EFI system not only improved our old trucks drivability, but enhanced its overall performance and fuel economy. Lastly, we take a dive into aftermarket fuel injection and talk about the differences between TBI (throttle body injection) and sequential EFI systems.
Sami takes the 2022 Hyundai Elantra N-Line for a spin, which is the right car for those that want a sporty compact but are afraid of jumping in with both feet. The pair compare the new N-Line to the old Elantra Sport and ask if enough progress has been made in this enthusiast friendly market segment or if buyers should look outside of the Hyundai showroom. Benjamin then jumps into the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban Duramax Diesel, a large and in charge SUV that proves to be perfect for road trip duty. Warning: This episode also takes random tangents into discussion of the redesigned Subaru WRX and the Ford Expedition Timberline.
A pet peeve of mine – jumbled junk in the car – particularly stuff that doesn't really do anything useful. It's not just accessory shops that are guilty; manufacturers, too, can get a little carried away. It's not all iffy though: ever heard of a Vibrasonic, do you know who designed the interior of the first Dicovery, and which cars have umbrellas? You'll be blessed with all this essential knowledge after you've heard this week's edition of Car-Chum.

Hitting the open road for an all-out adventure is one of the great joys in the life of any gearhead. Hitting the open road when filming a new series for Hemmings while taking one of your dear friends along for the ride, well that’s something else entirely. Yet that’s what happen in early April when I teamed up with automotive journalist, host, and author Elana Scherr on a 3,500 plus mile road trip in a completely untested 1981 Chevrolet Suburban for Road to Improvement, an upcoming program that’s set to launch on the Hemming YouTube channel later this year.
For almost 80 years, the versatile Chevrolet Suburban has set the standard for full-size SUVs, even before anyone knew what a Sport Utility Vehicle was. Over the years, there have been several models that seem to have 'stuck'. The Chevrolet C-10 series of truck have been popular with hot rodders for several years, and that popularity has rolled over to other C10 Chevrolets, in particular the 3-door Suburban. One of the finest examples we have seen is owned by Donny and Roxann Martin. With the suspension mods, more modern power under the hood and a custom interior to go along with the striking paint - Donny can do more justice to describing his pride and joy.---- ----- -----Be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcast provider for the next episode of In Wheel Time Car Talk six days a week, and check out our live broadcast every Saturday, 8a-11aCT simulcasting on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and InWheelTime.com.In Wheel Time Car Talk can be heard on you mobile device from providers such as:Apple Podcasts, Pandora Podcast, Amazon Music Podcast, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, iHeart Radio podcast, TuneIn + Alexa, Podcast Addict, Castro, Castbox and more on your mobile device.----- ------ ------Want more In Wheel Time in real time? The 2021 Chevy Suburban is one of the latest additions to our testing fleet, and we give our first impressions on what it's like to drive this big SUV, both on the open road, as well as in urban environments. The subscription model is common with many services these days, yet is still fairly uncommon in the automotive world. However, recent announcements by Tesla and GM may change this, and could introduce the concept of charging a monthly fee for access to important safety features. We talk about how these programs will work, and why they might not be in the best interest of consumers. The 2021 Chevy Suburban is one of the latest additions to our testing fleet, and we give our first impressions on what it’s like to drive this big SUV, both on the open road, as well as in urban environments. We also discuss the long-term reliability of turbos and direct-injection vehicles, the best way to store your winter or summer tires, and if a dealership might allow you to learn to drive a manual transmission with one of their vehicles (spoiler alert: probably not.) ----------------------------------- Have a question for our experts? On Saturday, October 5th, 1996, in Sioux City, Iowa, Marie Harker had plans to meet up with her 34-year-old son Kenneth. She and him often spoke as her son had suffered from a traumatic brain injury in the years prior. A severe car accident had left the man disabled, unable to keep a full-time job, and having to relearn how to walk and talk again. While Kenny, which he was often called, had been working for several years to regain his independence, he had only recently moved out and lived on his own. He had worked hard for his freedom, so Marie tried not to worry when he was a no show to their meeting. She convinced herself that he must've forgotten and was probably with friends. Little did Marie know, Kenny's white 1977 Chevrolet Suburban had just been found by one of the Plymouth County Officers and marked as abandoned. The vehicle was located on K-42, with its doors open, the tires were flat, and it was out of gas. In the days following, Marie tried several times to contact her son, doing so on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. While she knew deep down, something wasn't right; she didn't want to intrude on her son, who had worked so diligently to take care of himself again. She decided to try again tomorrow, but unbeknownst to her at that moment, Kenneth's truck was being towed away to the spot where it was found abandoned. This is the case of Kenneth Harker. If you know anything regarding the case of Kenneth Harker, you can contact the Sioux City Police Department at 712-279-6365.Follow us on Instagram @theantimmclub.Happy Halloween, Everyone xxSOURCES:https://www.namus.gov/MissingPersons/Case#/4491?navhttps://iowacoldcases.org/case-summaries/kenneth-harker/http://charleyproject.org/case/kenneth-william-harkerhttp://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1461dmia.htmlInterview quotes via: Kenneth Harker | Iowa Cold Cases. https://iowacoldcases.org/case-summaries/kenneth-harker/

In this episode of award-winning America on the Road we feature an in-depth interview with Paul Hennessy, CEO of Vroom, the used-car retailer that has changed the model of how consumers buy cars. Hennessy talks about shaking up the stodgy used-car-retailing scene and gives behind-the-scenes information on how Vroom works. If you're seeking a used car, visiting Vroom might be a profitable experience. In the road test segment host Jack Nerad describes his recent experience at the wheel of the all-new 2021 Chevrolet Suburban. The Suburban is full of changes for the new model year -- a completely new body style, new chassis and independent rear suspension are among the new features. Co-host Chris Teague reviews the 2020 Dodge Durango, a vehicle that is hardly all-new but has some new features. In SRT form as Teague tested it, the Durango is a three-row hot rod, simultaneously able to tote seven passengers and rocket to 60 miles per hour in under six seconds. 2021 Chevrolet Suburban

2020 Chevrolet Suburban Review The 2020 Chevrolet Suburban is wrapping up its 11th generation. That's right - 11! And, any given vehicle generation-cycle lasts around 6-years. So quick math tells you that the Suburban has been around for 66-ish years - right? Wrong. Because the first Chevrolet made with the Suburban name was in 1935! So, that's 85-years and counting! In fact, Chevy's Suburban is the longest-running nameplate in automotive history. And not only is Suburban rich with history but it's just a big fun vehicle to both drive and ride-in. From families to heads-of-state to group prom dates Suburban has hauled them all for years. Arguably Suburban is the original 3-row SUV. And that definitely holds true for 2020 because it seats up to 9! 2020 Chevy Suburban Top-3: Versatility Drive/ride Interior space So, when my pal Lewis Cook at Martin Chevrolet told me he had an extra I could test drive for this review I jumped at the chance. -->Continue reading or click play below to listen.
The Chevrolet Suburban is one of General Motors' most enduring triumphs — the longest-running nameplate in automotive history, to use the industry jargon, and the original SUV. In production since 1935, it's grown from an all-American family vehicle, perfect for loading up the kids and heading out into the country, into an 18-foot-long status symbol for VIPs — including titans of finance, A-list celebrities, politicians and the occasional drug lord. It's even the first vehicle to earn a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. While the Suburban used to be about suburbia, it isn't anymore. In this episode, we talk with Angie Schmitt, a journalist working on a book about the pedestrian safety crisis in the United States, about how the Suburban's rise foretold the modern SUV boom, and just how dangerous these land sharks can be. The ISDA Secure Transportation and Executive Protection News Podcast for Friday, October 26th, 2018 ====================== In Vehicle News From Consumer Reports Vehicle Reliability Survey Consumer Reports just announced the results of its Annual Auto Survey based on data on reliability collected from the vehicles of over 500,000 Consumer Reports members. From this data, Consumer Reports can let shoppers know which vehicles are likely to have troublesome turbocharged engines, infuriating infotainment systems, and taxing transmissions, among other problems. Consumer Reports’ list is made up of 29 car manufacturers and points out each brand’s most unreliable and reliable vehicle. The survey reinforces our recommendation that consumers should avoid brand-new or redesigned models and wait a year or two until the automaker has had the chance to work out the kinks and headaches that often arise. The top 5 most unreliable vehicles are the Volvo S90 which suffered from display screen freezes; problems with the climate system and interior cabin rattles along with complaints about engine knocking or pinging, followed by the Cadillac ATS, Tesla Model x, Dodge Ram 3500, and GMC Sierra 2500 Heavy Duty. Looking at the reliability score of a few of the most common Executive Vehicles The 2019 Lexus LS has a score of 69, a road test score of 72 out of 100, with a reliability score of 3 out 5, and owner satisfaction of 4 out 5 The 2019 Genesis G90 has an overall score of 72, a road test score of 89 out of 100, with a reliability score of 2 out 5 with reported problems in the areas of body hardware and power equipment, and an owner satisfaction of 5 out 5. The 2019 Audi A8 does not have an overall score as of yet, however the reliability score is 3 out 5, and the owner satisfaction of 4 out 5. The 2019 Chevrolet Suburban has an overall score of 69, a road test score of 74 out of 100, a reliability score of 3 out 5, and owner satisfaction of 4 out 5. The 2019 Lincoln Navigator has an overall score of 60, a road test score of 65 out of 100, a reliability score of 3 out 5, with an owner satisfaction rate of 4 out 5. https://www.consumerreports.org/car-reliability-owner-satisfaction/who-makes-the-most-reliable-cars/ ====================== In Security News From CNN Investigators search Florida mail facility for clues to bombmaker The nationwide manhunt for the person or people who sent 10 potential bombs to critics of President Donald Trump and CNN's office in New York led authorities to a mail facility in South Florida on Thursday night. Several of the packages went through a US Postal facility in Opa-locka, Florida, two law enforcement officials familiar with the investigation said. On Thursday night, the Miami-Dade County Police Department said it was assisting federal agents who were at the facility as part of the ongoing investigation. https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/26/politics/bombs-clinton-obama-waters-biden/index.html ====================== And from ISDA Member Bill Peeler, CEO, and owner of Peeler Group International Bombs and Bomb Threats – A Refresher As a professional you depend on our training and not your emotions. In the past couple of days, we have observed the location of at least nine explosive devices in the United States. As with any situation where aggressive behavior is displayed through terroristic acts or violent threats, emotions are charged. As my good friend, Dr. Richard Kobetz would say, “it’s an old bottle of wine with a new label”. To this end we adjust our methods of mitigation in these situations as required by contemporary times, having said this, we still look to historical protocols that have worked and we stick with them. So, to assist with focusing on what matters I thought I would provide a quick refresher as to what anyone should be aware of and what you should be doing on a daily basis. Bill’s article also includes a Bomb Threat Caller checklist and a Suspicious package checklist http://www.peelergroup.com/bombs-and-bomb-threats-a-refresher/ ====================== In Cyber Security News From Security Magazine Phishing Attacks up by 297 Percent in Q3 2018 A report illustrates how cybercriminals are increasingly targeting retailers and their customers through digital and social channels as retailers leverage new channels for increased revenue opportunities "The Retail and eCommerce Threat Landscape Report (October 2018), notes a 297 percent rise in the number of false retailer websites designed to "phish" for customer credentials. In Q3 alone there was an average of 23 phishing sites per company, which is a significant increase from 2017, which averaged 5.9 phishing attacks per company. In addition, says the report, there was a 278 percent rise in stolen goods listed on black markets for resale. Even more: an average of 22.1 internal login pages or development servers exposed per retail company in 2018. When accessed this gives cybercriminals a portal into the retailer's internal network Fake apps and social media profiles are on the rise with a 469 percent spike in suspicious applications and a 345 percent increase in fake social media profiles (respectively) in Q4 2017 https://www.securitymagazine.com/articles/89512-phishing-attacks-up-by-297-percent-in-q3-2018 ==================== Links to all news stories mentioned in this podcast are available at the archive website securitydrivernews.libsyn.com. New truck news takes over this episode of Talking Cars. Ford updates the truck-based Expedition; we discuss how the extended-length EL version compares to the Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL. The Ford's high point: its new EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6. Next, we sample GM's new compact truck, the GMC Canyon and its twin Chevrolet Colorado. We're impressed overall, but buyers expecting the driving experience of a car-based crossover SUV in this truck might be disappointed. (Like Tom is.) Plenty of viewers asked questions about our reliability data. One protests factoring infotainment systems into vehicle reliability, while another asks about improving reliability in a car's later model years. We answer a question about the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ vs. the Honda Civic Si. Funny how that question helps us answer another viewer's query about a reliable coupe for under $20,000. The gang struggles - only for a bit - to choose between the Honda Accord V6 and the Acura TLX. Finally, we tease next week's episode, featuring the Dodge Challenger.

They both have rear hatches: that's about all that the Honda Fit and Porsche Macan share. Each occupies totally different places in the value vs. practicality scale. The Honda Fit might just be the most practical car you can buy, especially given the price. But we don't all agree on the car's refinement. At the other extreme, our Porsche Macan costs over $63,000, but proves to be a rather satisfying guilty pleasure. In between, we discuss test results for the Chevrolet Suburban, Chevy Tahoe, and GMC Yukon. A lot hinges on equipping these big SUVs with one particular option: GM's magnetic ride control.
