Spend Your Energy Wildly is the topic for Part 6, the final episode in our six-part book series. Gladys' teaching is that living well is a matter of learning how to steer your energy toward life. I recap the previous five lessons and illustrate how to receive the lessons and love from each moment. I share client stories and moments from my own life tied to the choice of expanding your energy wildly vs. wisely. I end the episode with Gladys' six-part practice on how to embrace and appreciate the gift of life. Gladys shares the decision to stop fighting at school in order to make connections. She had to redirect the energy and unconscious patterns created in her family with intention and purpose. We all have sovereignty over our energy. I share a moment from my life when my husband and I were inspired by families in our church to adopt children of our own. I discovered the capacity of both my light and darkness while raising five children, but I had the agency to expand and move toward light energy. I also illustrate Gladys' practice on how to embrace life with a series of questions for inquiry so life can grow and expand with you. Can you feel life's boundless energy moving throughout your body? This message is a reminder to embrace the wildness of life around you. Listen in to learn Glady's teachings as a stepping stone on the journey to a life well-lived. Thank you for joining me last week for Part 3 of my Six-Part Book Chat series. In this episode, we dive into Part 4 of the book around the topic that you are never truly alone. I share a framework for both soul and social connection and illustrate concepts from Gladys around the power of listening and embracing imperfection. I end the episode with Gladys' five-step practice for weaving the fabric of life together.  At a recent Biohacking Congress, I had a conversation with someone built on mutual vulnerability. At that moment, I wasn't there to do most of the talking. I was there to simply listen. I share the need for both social and soul connections and two studies from Gladys' book on loneliness and adult development. In her book, Gladys writes about embracing imperfection. I detail how the birth of my 2nd grandchild was a chaotic, but incredibly powerful and connected time. I also share how living in proximity allows for more intimate connections to happen, and a story about my move to Chicago after living abroad. Thank you for joining me last week for Part 2 of my Six-Part Book Chat series. In this episode, we dive into Part 3 of the book where Gladys writes that love is more powerful than any medicine you can take. I share personal stories about love from my own upbringing and the greatest unconditional love story ever told. I end the episode with Gladys' Love Yourself Into Healing visualization practice to give space for love to trickle in. My “head start” in life wasn't in a wealthy or influential family. It was in love. When I experienced a family crisis while a freshman in college, I still knew that I was loved and valued. Even in feelings of loneliness, the love remained. I share the greatest love story ever told, Jesus, as a true model of unconditional love and our connection to Divine Source energy. Gladys writes that the power of love is undervalued and overlooked. Love has guided my own life, toward self-forgiveness and in release of rage. To illustrate the vibration of love, I tell Gladys' story about the Carlsbad Caves and how one small light can dispel the darkness. Love is what can breathe life into any emotionally helpless situation. I share Gladys' Love Yourself Into Healing visualization practice in honor of embracing the journey toward love. There is transformation when we can get quiet, listen, and be compassionate with ourselves. This is where we have dominion and power. Listen in to learn more about the wisdom and insight Gladys has to share with us. Let love be the trickle to guide you along the journey of life. Thank you for joining me last week for Part One of my Six-Part Book Chat series. In this episode, we dive into Part 2 of the book where Gladys writes about “the trickle” and three hindrances to confront in order to realign with life. I share how emotional pain is related to forgiveness and shame and the ways it can hold us hostage from our fullest range of life force energy. I end the episode with Gladys' movement practice for letting go and turning our attention back to love. During my marriage crisis, I aligned with the energy of my family to see the trickle moving through the flow of life and our commitment to our children. When we're in pain, we tend to stop moving, but in reality, movement is the solution to keep our energy system flowing. I share Gladys' specific practice with hand gestures to deal with blockages and alleviate emotional pain. In order to navigate the pain and find the trickle, we must move something in our life. For a true release in support of your life force, I share Gladys' process for letting go and letting energy flow. I recently used this process to work out my feelings about the U.S. medical system. I stretched, I danced, I pounded, I jumped — and I felt amazing. After being cut out of someone's life recently, it got me thinking about the state of modern relationships and this culture of excommunicating anyone that we don't agree with. In this episode, I share three frameworks for restoring harmony and healing relational wounds. Cancel culture plagues our world with depleting emotions like fear, distrust, and anxiety. It might seem easy to block someone online or in real life, but in reality, when that negative energy gets trapped in the body and manifests itself in other ways. Of course, there are situations where it makes sense to uphold boundaries and protect yourself, but when you simply disagree with someone, there are alternative solutions to canceling them. I've witnessed the power of forgiveness first hand, and I share two ways that I practice forgiveness for myself and others. I also try to incorporate transparent, authentic, and open communication skills into everyday life and stay grounded in Don Miguel Ruiz's teachings about The Four Agreements.   Listen in as I unpack the reality of cancel culture and how we can all become more compassionate communicators.  If you are enjoying these conversations, please subscribe and spread the love by leaving a review and sharing it with your friends.Listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, TuneIn, or on your favorite podcast platform. Topics Covered: The energy behind cancel culture How cutting someone out of your life can create even more depleting emotions Learning to embrace imperfections in yourself and others Ways to restore harmony when trust has been broken Communication principles from Taoism that I resonate with Recognizing when you take things personally or make assumptions Resources Mentioned:The Four Agreements by Don Miguel RuizEpisode 82. Stem cells are the building blocks for the human body, and without stem cell activity, the body can't repair, regenerate or renew itself. Stem cell activity decreases as we age, but there are several ways to reverse the effects of that biological process. In today's episode, I share simple, cost-effective wellness protocols that can help you create a healthy environment for stem cells to thrive. There are three main types of stem cells and different therapies associated with them. But, before you go down the path of procedures that cost tens of thousands of dollars, there are things you can do everyday to optimize healthy stem cell activity. Between your diet, exercise, and stress management, your experience of aging is within your control. One of the tools that has been instrumental for me in my journey of feeling younger while growing older has been using LifeWave patch technology. When a woman doesn't feel safe, she can't make as much estrogen and estrogen is the magic hormone that allows her to be orgasmic. So you get to much higher levels of multi-orgasmic pleasure if a woman feels loved and safe. And ironicall, if a woman feels loved and safe at a very high level, a man's hormones that get produced in his body are different than regular sex. There is research on this where is shown that married men who have a good sex life, their body makes a hormone after sex called prolactin. For a man, prolactin is the monogamy hormone. ‘We recognize that people with asthma breathe faster, often harder, have upper chest breathing, irregular breathing, and mouth breathing. It's feeding into conditions, but it's also activating a stress response. People with asthma don't just have asthma. As asthma severity increases, so does tiredness. They're more likely to have disrupted sleep, to be waking up during the middle of the night, especially if they have uncontrolled asthma and oftentimes that's overlooked, and taking medication.  Of course, medication will help to control their asthma, but it's not getting to the underlying issue of a poor breathing pattern and it's not happening their sleep.' - Patrick McKeown, creator, CEO and Director of Education and Training at Oxygen Advantage®, Director of Education and Training at Buteyko Clinic International and President of Buteyko Professionals International.   Patrick McKeown is the creator, CEO and Director of Education and Training at Oxygen Advantage®, Director of Education and Training at Buteyko Clinic International and President of Buteyko Professionals International.   He is a leading international expert on breathing and sleep, and author of bestselling books including The Oxygen Advantage.   His focus is to empower more people every day to breathe better, feel better and achieve their potential.   Patrick designed MyoTape from 20 years' experience in breathing for better sleep.   Want to learn how to live a SMARTER, HEALTHIER (and, let's be honest, more EXCITING) LIFE? with top tips just for you! Steal My 10 Hacks to Improve Your Life & Longevity Playbook with top tips just for you - www.longevity-and-lifestyle.com/10hacks!     For Podcast Show Notes & Transcript visit: https://longevity-and-lifestyle.com/podcast-97-patrick-mckeown     ****   Follow Patrick on: Myotape - https://myotape.com/  Buteyko Clinic - https://buteykoclinic.com/  Oxygen Advantage (Website) - https://oxygenadvantage.com/  Oxygen Advantage (YouTube Channel) - https://www.youtube.com/@OxygenAdvantage      Follow Claudia on: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/longevityandlifestyle/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/longevityandlifestyle/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZF-s8jsUejc0TpVqnFE1lQ/featured LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/claudia-von-boeselager/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/LongevityLifest Website: https://longevity-and-lifestyle.com/     Past guests on The Longevity & Lifestyle Podcast include Dr. David Perlmutter, Dr. Amy Killen, Sergey Young, Dr. Dale Bredesen, Dr. Kristen Willeumier, Dr. Louise Newson, Dr. Kien Vuu, Dr. Carolina Reis, Marie Diamond, Nikolina Lauc, Morri Chowaiki, Leslie Kenny, Maziar Brumand, Fiona O'Donnell-McCarthy, Mohamed Massaquoi, Nick Potter, Dr. Pamela Kryskow, Dr. Julia Mirer, Dr. Julia Jones, Dr. Austin Perlmutter, Dr. Richard Johnson, Isabella Channing, Dina Burkitbayeva, Raewyn Guerrero, Mario Chamorro, Mariko Bangerter, Harris Khan, Juraj Kocar, Dr. Stephanie Manson Brown, Dr. Mohammed Enayat, Dr. Molly Maloof, Helen Reavey, Elena Letyagina, Dana Frost, Niall Breslin, Dr. Limor Goren, Larisa Petrini, Leighanne Champion, Mike Bennet, Dr. Louise Swartswalter, Dr. Joseph Antoun and many more!

There's pressure to start a new year feeling invigorated and inspired but that's not the experience for everyone. I started 2023 feeling burdened with a resistant stye, cough, and cold along with feelings of melancholy. Instead of stewing in these depleting emotions, I chose to be curious about the narrative I was telling myself about my health and depleted emotional state. I took this curiosity to my daily quiet time with an open heart and ears. The energy immediately shifted when I sat down in my daily sacred space. A sense of clarity rushed over me. Your system will learn to trust you when you embrace the full landscape of your emotional experience. Everyday and every moment is a fresh start. It's okay if these first few weeks of January haven't met expectations. Feeling the wide range of emotions make us human and relatable. Listen in to hear more about my process for working through depleting emotions and healing from the inside out.  Don't forget, if you would like me to do an entire solo episode on the idea of a quiet time, please let me know in my DMs or email! If you are enjoying these conversations, please subscribe and spread the love by leaving a review and sharing it with your friends.Listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, TuneIn, or on your favorite podcast platform. Topics Covered:What my ‘self-care mode' looks likeWhy I consider my daily quiet time to be my most vital life practiceThe mind-body response to depleting emotionsTapping into the energy and intelligence of the heart through HeartMath techniquesWhy it's essential to allow yourself to feel all of your feelings instead of bypassing the hard-to-feel onesResources Mentioned:There's room for one more client in my 2023 Vitally You Comprehensive Alchemical Coaching Program. ‘Decision fatigue causes the best of intentions to go out the window. Because our brain can only process so many decisions in a day. For the majority of us, we do not live and work in environments that are optimized for good decision-making. Notifications, interruptions, our attention, and the need to make choices are constantly tested. And as the world becomes more and more hectic, all the more important for us to really, really think about this decision fatigue concept and optimize processes from there to ensure that we are making decisions and choices that really serve us and help us be at our best.' - Claudia von Boeselager, Peak Performance Coach   ****   This episode is brought to you by Airofit. How many of us develop bad breathing habits? I know I did! It wasn't until I tried the Airofit device that I re-learned how to breathe better. Even after a few 2-3 minute sessions, I could tell the difference when running!   Airofit is a smart respiratory muscle trainer that allows you to tract, monitor and improve the strength of the pulmonary muscles. Guiding the aging process is a long-term project and I'm celebrating 11 years since I started to reverse engineer my biological age. In this episode, I break down my Functional Nutrition framework and tracking tool that will help you understand your baseline and get really clear on how you can improve your longevity strategy. In order to feel younger while growing older, you need to know what's happening inside your body and be aware of how external exposures make an impact internally. One of the simplest ways to do that in the comfort of your own home is by tracking your food, mood, and elimination via urine and bowel movements. I share tools to help you know what to look out for, like Vivoo and the Bristol Stool Scale. I also encourage all of my clients to examine their sleep quality, stress management, glucose levels, and energy levels after they exercise. There are so many effective treatments and modalities out there that can support you, but your central nervous system will override all of your efforts on an unconscious level if you don't do the emotional work first. If you haven't already, listen to Episode 8 - Making Peace with Your Past and use that as a launching point.  Listen in to learn more about my healing journey and methodologies that have helped guide the way. If you are enjoying these conversations, please subscribe and spread the love by leaving a review and sharing it with your friends.Listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, TuneIn, or on your favorite podcast platform. Topics Covered:Why you should care about the hallmarks of aging What I suggest doing before paying for extensive genetic and biometric testing Reflecting back on my life when I was really struggling with stress management Why it's important to hone in on your fasting glucose levels Understanding when your movement routine is too intense Exploring solutions outside of the conventional model Resources Mentioned:If you would like my list of lab recommendations or my health marker tracker, email dana@danafrost.comEpisode 48 - Urine Tracking with the Vivoo App. Use the code Vital30 for 30% off first purchase at vivoo.io Check out Lara Adler on InstagramGet in Touch: My WebsiteInstagramSpecial offers: Thanksgiving week giveaway: The first person to create an IG post or story and include #feelingyoungergrowingolder with a comment about what that means to them, tag @danafrost will receive a sleeve of 30 LifeWave Aeon anti-inflammatory patches which decrease inflammation, pain, and emotional triggers at the speed of light.Download the Daily Vitality eBook at danafrost.com/daily-vitality/Credit:Podcast Production by the team at The Wave PodcastingMusic by Phoebe GreenlandPhotography by Amy Boyle PhotographyPodcast art by SimplyBe. Dana Frost is a mother, wife, and holistic health coach who, in the midst of the modern chronic health epidemic, is pioneering an alternative roadmap to female longevity and wellbeing that combines age-old medical insight with personal wisdom. According to the CDC, women account for the bulk of prescribed medication in the U.S. and the rise in chronic diseases already encompasses at least 38 percent of the female population. For Dana, her perfect “chronic health” storm arrived at an early age in the form of heart surgery, pacemaker, adrenal fatigue, pre-diabetes, and painful menopause transition. Never one to back down from a fight, Frost created a coaching approach that empowers women like herself to take back the wheel of their own personal health journeys. Her signature “Vitality You” method replaces a prescription-driven mindset with personal lifestyle changes that can bring balance to mind, body, and spirit. She uses a functional nutrition lens that sees food and nature as medicine and taps into the human body's innate self-healing capacity. Moreover, she has a rigorous educational background as a Master Life Coach, Aromatherapist, HeartMath® Facilitator, Myers-Briggs Facilitator, and Light Therapist. Using these integrative lenses she helps women fight a wide range of chronic health conditions related to mood dis-regulation, muscle pain, digestive issues, thyroid disorders, general inflammation, and more.
