Jeremy Parker is a dynamic entrepreneur whose career journey has been defined by creativity, adaptability, and a relentless drive to solve problems. Raised in Angola, New Jersey, by an artist mother and a business-savvy father, Jeremy initially pursued filmmaking, winning an award for a feature-length documentary at the Vale Film Festival. However, after recognizing a lack of passion compared to his peers, Jeremy pivoted to entrepreneurship shortly after college. Jeremy's most notable success came with the founding of Swag.com, a platform for promotional products that streamlined the purchasing process for businesses. By listening to customer feedback and targeting the right audience, Jeremy grew Swag.com into a $30 million enterprise in just six years. The company was later acquired by Custom Ink. Currently, Jeremy is leading Swag Space, a platform designed to empower small promotional distributors by leveraging Swag.com's technology. His goal is to automate backend processes, allowing distributors to focus on sales and scale their businesses while benefiting from Custom Ink's purchasing power. Jeremy attributes his success to adaptability, learning from failure, and focusing on customer needs. He believes in staying present, consistently improving, and balancing his entrepreneurial ventures with family life in Florida, where he resides with his wife and two children, expecting a third. He is passionate about creating more businesses and helping others succeed through platforms like Swag.com and Swag Space.

How much time do you spend in nature? Most of us spend far more time indoors than outdoors. And we're more likely to be surrounded by electronics than trees. Craig Foster, the Academy Award-winning filmmaker behind My Octopus Teacher, says we've lost touch with our wild side. Not only is that bad for our psychological well-being, but it's harmful to the ecosystem. He's written a book called Amphibious Soul, and he's now encouraging all of us to get in touch with our wild side again. Some of the things he shares are how to rewild ourselves, how to really learn about nature, and how to use nature to reinvigorate our lives. Meet Dani Menkin, an American-Israeli film producer who lives in LA in the process of creating a documentary about the synagogue hostage crisis that took place in North Texas in 2022. Dani has won over 30 awards for his films including an Israeli Academy Award for '39 Pounds of Love' and 'Is That You? In addition, Dani created the film production company 'Hey Jude Productions' and a non-profit dedicated to producing heart-warming stories.I asked Dani to join us for a few reasons. The first is to better understand what transpired in North Texas on January 15, 2022. Like most news stories, this hostage situation was gone from most Americans' conscience within days. But thanks to Dani and his filmmaking skills, we will all soon be intimately familiar with this event and the Islamic extremism that shaped its circumstances and the brave souls who faced down evil and triumphed. The second reason is because film is such a powerful medium to convey messages. As you will soon hear, Dani doesn't create films to convey specific messages, however, through his vivid storytelling, viewers gain an understanding of the thinking and emotions that drive us all. The last reason is because Dani is a proud Israeli. At this moment in our history, as the mainstream media paints Israel and Israelis as villains, it is critical we elevate and amplify the voices of those who know Israel so well. This episode begins with the audio from the trailer for Dani's documentary, Colleyville. After the trailer finishes, you will find my conversation with Dani. If Colleyville is a project you are interested in supporting, please reach out to me or Dani. I know Dani would appreciate your support in launching this important project.Colleyville trailer: https://vimeo.com/858969151Dani's production company: https://www.heyjudeproductions.com/

Today on The Neil Haley Show, Neil "The Media Giant" Haley and Kim Sorrelle will interview Filmaker Jordan Charles. The indie crime drama “Brothers In Arms” will have its American Film Market (AFM) premiere screening take place on October 31 at 1:30PM at AMC Broadway Auditorium 2 on the Santa Monica Promenade (1441 3rd St. Promenade, Santa Monica, CA 90401). To RSVP, please click HERE. The “Brothers In Arms” award-winning short film introduces the intended feature film now poised to be developed and financed. The film project is a collaboration between Jordan Charles, Annabill Artist Productions, Southern Crux, Ibrahim Nada, and Courtney King, who all produced the original 40-minute short film. Co-directed by Ibrahim Nada and Jordan Charles, the short film and its AFM screening amplify the project for further partnering, and position its development as a feature film. The completed feature film screenplay is an original story written by actor-producer Jordan Charles. The drama-thriller casts actor Jordan Charles as a relentless police officer who must face a ruthless crime syndicate holding Los Angeles under siege, while chasing the devastating secrets of his past. Audiences will discover the emotionally charged narrative as it weaves its visceral story of two brothers fractured by a tragic childhood accident, one becoming a rising police officer and the other a diabolical criminal, who must come to terms with their past while the fate of a city hangs in the balance.

The downfall of humanity is that we are so self focused and don't know our neighbors. We're so afraid to be wrong even for a moment. But we will be oppressed if we don't allow for a respectful and free dialogue amongst the people. “A bright future is created by a generation who plants trees in shade they won't experience.” -based on a Greek Proverb. As we head into fire season, I wanted to revisit an episode from last year about an amazing documentary film called Elemental: Reimagine Wildfire. After a nationwide theatrical release and over a dozen awards, Elemental has just come out on streaming on Amazon, Apple TV, Google play, and Vimeo. Fire is, and always has been, a permanent part of our western landscapes and ecosystems, but the debate and policy prescriptions around how to protect our communities is shockingly disconnected from the science and and on the ground reality. On this episode, we spoke with the director of “Elemental: Reimagine Wildfire” to learn about the realities of how we can co-exist with wildfires. Trip Jennings is the Principal & Founder of Balance Media, a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, and has won dozens of awards for his past films. His new film, ‘Elemental', has been met with rave reviews, and is changing the narrative around wildfires. “Elemental: Reimagine Wildfire” is available to stream on Amazon, Apple TV, Google Play, Vimeo, or at Elementalfilm.comShow Notes:Elemental: https://www.elementalfilm.com/https://www.elementalfilm.com/streamingFirefighters United for Safety, Ethics, and Ecology: https://fusee.org/Oregon Department of Forestry Risk Assessment Explorer: https://tools.oregonexplorer.info/oe_htmlviewer/index.html?viewer=wildfireODF Senate Bill 762 Homepage: https://www.oregon.gov/odf/Pages/sb762.aspxSupport the showPlease Donate to Help us Keep This Show Free!
