A quiet mushroom hunt on the Oregon Coast. A terrifying scream in the forests above Discovery Bay. Four thunderous whoops outside a tent in the middle of the night near Port Townsend. In this unforgettable conversation, Austin Aretakis shares a series of firsthand encounters that changed the way he views the wilderness forever.Austin recounts his earliest unexplained experience near Floras Lake before taking us deep into one of the closest Sasquatch encounters ever featured on Bigfoot Society. While camping alone near Fort Townsend Historical State Park, something massive approached his hidden campsite, circled his tent, responded with powerful vocalizations, and left behind physical evidence the following morning. The conversation also explores strange vocalizations, possible mimicry, wilderness survival, natural farming, faith, and the lifelong impact these experiences have had on Austin's search for answers.Locations featured include:• Floras Lake, Oregon• Port Orford, Oregon• Rogue River, Oregon• Discovery Bay, Washington• Port Townsend, Washington• Fort Townsend Historical State ParkIf you've ever wondered what it would be like to hear something enormous moving through the darkness just outside your tent, this is an episode you won't want to miss.
After 200 years of idolatry, God finally allowed the northern kingdom of Israel to be destroyed and the people carried off by Assyria. Meanwhile, the southern kingdom of Judah was being ruled the young, foolish, idolatrous King Ahaz. After being defeated in battle by the Aramean Kingdom of Damascus, Ahaz decided to worship the gods of Syria rather than turning to God for help. He also sacrificed his son to Molech in the Valley of Hinnom southwest of Jerusalem. Then he turned to the Assyrians for help against Israel, Syria, and Edom, cutting up fixtures in the Temple to send to Assyria as tribute. Needless to say, God was not pleased. Apparently, neither were the people of Judah. Ahaz was buried in the City of David rather than in the tombs of the kings of his forefathers. THE WORST outbreak of Ebola in history is underway in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Many will respond to that news with skepticism given the way we were propagandized during the COVID outbreak five years ago. But facts are facts: Nearly 1600 people have died thus far in the outbreak and it's spreading much faster than the 2014 outbreak in West Africa. The infection fatality rate is upwards of 40%. By comparison, COVID only had an IFR of about 0.2%. In addition, this particular strain of Ebola has an incubation period of up to three weeks. That means somebody who appears to be well could conceivably travel on an international flight and bring the virus to another continent. So, fear mongering in this case is probably justified. Speaking of fear, a robotics company called Satyress has announced a new robot that looks like a giant metallic praying mantis with the head of a goat. It is ostensibly intended for jobs too dangerous for humans, like search and rescue missions after a natural disaster. However, it looks like Baphomet with an extra set of legs. That begs the question: What in the world were the designers thinking? We also discuss the invasion of the Spanish enclave of Ceuta by 60,000 military age men from Morocco. This is a very bad look for the pro-immigration leaders of the European Union and progressive Democrats here in the United States. Video from Ceuta showing young Moroccan men looting stores, breaking into homes, and attacking Spanish citizens is like something from a horror film. Also: Mayor Mamdani promises his city-run grocery stores will sell groceries at 30% below average cost elsewhere. That math don't math. For over 52 years, Super Dave has experienced some of the most intense Sasquatch encounters imaginable. His journey began as a 12-year-old boy in the Saginaw Eddy Bottoms of Arkansas when he came face to face with an enormous hairy figure standing only a few feet away along the Ouachita River. That single encounter changed the course of his life.In this episode, Super Dave shares his terrifying first sighting, repeated encounters across Arkansas, massive footprints, tree knocks, bluff charges, eye shine, thermal observations, gifting experiences, and years spent researching active Sasquatch habitat. He also discusses the family group he calls "Big Eddie," nighttime investigations in the Ozark Mountains, strange disappearances on thermal imaging, and the lessons he's learned after decades of encounters. If you're interested in firsthand Sasquatch encounters, long-term field experience, and one witness's incredible journey through the Arkansas woods, this is an episode you won't want to miss.Resources: Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@a.k.a.SasquatchFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61583819863274Kay Gleaves Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/gleaves23

It's PID Radio's Throwback Thursday. This week, we present a 2007 interview with researcher and author Kate Iola about America's vulnerability to disruption of our food supply through agricultural terror. Originally released June 3, 2007 OUR SUMMER “archive series” continues with an interview culled from Derek's radio program on The Eagle 93.9 (KSSZ-FM) in Columbia, Missouri. His guest on Friday, May 25, 2007 was agroterror expert Kate Iola. Kate has a master's degree in Molecular Pathology from the University of California-San Diego, and three issued patents. She started reporting on FMD (foot-and-mouth disease) in 1999. In 2000, she decided someone needed to tell the bizarre — and, unfortunately, true — story of the threat of FMD. Just as Sharon did with avian flu in The Armageddon Strain, Kate chose to spread the word about FMD with fiction. Her novel Deadstock is a chilling look at the ease with which America's agriculture industry could be brought to its knees. Derek and Kate also talked about the Department of Homeland Security's proposed new bioweapons lab, the National Bio and Agro Defense Facility (NBAF). Columbia is one of 17 contenders to host this BSL-4 laboratory, and Kate is raising a red flag. Placing a lab that studies FMD in the middle of America's beef and pork producing territory raises some serious security issues. Sharon's niece, Sarah Sachleben, is fighting stage 4 bowel cancer, and the medical bills are piling up. If you are led to help, please go to GilbertHouse.org/hopeforsarah. Follow us! There are two sources of inspiration for this week's interview: one was Rebecca Kutzer-Rice's article “Why and how we automated our flower greenhouses,” which you can read here. And the other is the 40hr Farmer live greenhouse coaching and video course, brought to you by Growing for Market and Orisha greenhouse automation (it's also free for all GFM subscribers by the way- get the code to register from the home page when you log in). Now, The 40hr Farmer is currently an in-depth look at greenhouse tomato growing, but in the future we are going to expand it to other crops. And since we know Rebecca knows about automating GH flower crops from her article, and that greenhouse flowers can be as profitable if not more so than greenhouse vegetables, we wanted to get her opinion on which flower crops would be most important to cover when we get to flowers. Listen to this interview to hear why Rebecca recommends ranunculus, snapdragons and lisianthus as some of the GH flower crops that might need their own courses, and why growers are so obsessed with their greenhouses. We also talk about the greenhouse set points for these crops, climate settings for reducing disease in flower crops in general, maximizing production, why sometimes it can actually be cheaper and more efficient to grow a crop hotter, and more. Connect With Guest: Website: moonshotfarm.com Instagram: @moonshot_farm Read Rebecca's article from the February 2025 Growing for Market Magazine: Why and how we automated our flower greenhouses Podcast Sponsors: Huge thanks to our podcast sponsors as they make this podcast FREE to everyone with their generous support: Nifty Hoops builds complete gothic high tunnels that are easy to install and built to last. What value does a farmers market have for a community? Is it just about the transactions, or is there more? A study funded by a USDA grant and involving UW-Madison researchers focused on that question. Kiley Allan finds out about the results from Bret Shaw, UW-Madison Communications Specialist. Shaw says the researchers conducted a national study to provide market operators with actionable data to boost attendance, increase consumer spending, and better communicate the community value of farmers markets to stakeholders. The research identified six consumer categories, highlighting the three groups most likely to visit: the "highly engaged" (who love the social atmosphere and local experience), the "health-focused" (who prioritize organic, local, and non-GMO produce), and the "emerging interest" group. The newly identified "emerging interest" demographic consists of younger shoppers who are less focused on buying raw ingredients to cook at home and more interested in the social environment and ready-to-eat prepared foods. To accommodate changing consumer preferences, markets are increasingly featuring vendors that sell prepared foods and specialized items (such as hot breads, baked goods, and meats) rather than strictly traditional raw fruits and vegetables. With over 8,600 markets operating nationwide, farmers markets are increasingly recognized by community leaders as vital hubs that promote healthier eating habits, foster a sense of local belonging, and build resilient regional food systems. What are the 'dog days' all about? That's the starter conversation with Stu Muck on a Monday morning. The forecast isn't offering much moisture this week to offset all the heat expected. Stu explains the cycle the states caught in. In June the White House announced that John Rich, or Big N Rich country duo fame, became a USDA envoy working with farmers and landowners nationwide. Rich says he was personally caught in a land dispute with the state of Tennessee, so he understands the disadvantage farmers face when someone wants their land. He'll report directly to USDA's Brooke Rollins and the President. He explains what he's heard so far. Last week the WI State Fair Park announced that John Yingling would be retiring after 16 years of service, most recently as board chair. Pam Jahnke visits with the fair veteran who started his relationship with the fair when he was a kid in the neighborhood. Yingling says he never liked going to the fair with his mother. He explains how that didn't stop him from making the WI State Fair, a big part of his life.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Jasen Urena is the Executive Vice President of NestFresh, a company that's been an early adopter of cage-free, free-range, pasture-raised, non-GMO, and regenerative organic egg production, and recently became the first company in the US to put a humanely hatched egg on grocery store shelves. It's PID Radio's Throwback Thursday. This week, we present a 2007 interview with prophecy expert and author Terry James about a plot to corrupt the human genome just as the sons of God did long before the flood. Of course, this scenario is just fiction—or is it? Originally released November 25, 2007 WHILE WE complete the first stage of our move from Missouri to Indiana, we present a guest we think you'll find fascinating. Terry James has been writing about prophecy for years, but what led him to study and write about the coming end of the age is perhaps even more interesting than his work. Settle in for an hour of discussion about fallen angels, UFOs, nephilim, and the end of the world as we know it. A childhood story told around the family turns into a lifelong mystery as one listener shares an incredible account from Oklahoma's Arbuckle Mountains. Long before Bigfoot became part of popular culture, two experienced hunters found themselves being followed through dense briar patches by a towering unknown figure after their hounds suddenly fled in fear. This episode also features chilling encounters from Beckley, West Virginia, where powerful vocalizations, overwhelming odors, and unexplained activity left one witness convinced multiple Sasquatch were surrounding her group. A Missouri caller describes tree knocks, mysterious grunts, and the now-famous greenhouse property, while another witness recalls seeing a massive reddish-brown Bigfoot sprinting alongside her vehicle near Charleston, West Virginia. You'll also hear a recent report from Tennessee's Cumberland Plateau involving a freshly toppled tree under calm weather conditions. These firsthand accounts span generations and regions across North America, offering a fascinating look at the places where witnesses continue to report encounters with something that refuses to be explained.
Three separate eyewitnesses bring unforgettable encounters to this episode of Bigfoot Society.A camper describes mysterious nighttime activity at Opal Creek in Oregon after deep growls and repeated impacts struck a tent in one of the Pacific Northwest's most active Sasquatch regions. A father and son recall watching what appeared to be an entire Bigfoot family—including a juvenile carrying a fish—along the spillway at Johnson Shut-Ins State Park in Missouri. A returning witness from Washington State shares years of encounters involving both a white Bigfoot and a rare golden-colored individual, along with unexplained screams, property destruction, and questions about unusual Sasquatch coloration.Jeremiah also shares the closest he's ever come to a Bigfoot encounter while filming with legendary Oregon researcher Frank Knester near Estacada.Locations featured include Opal Creek, Jawbone Flats, Detroit, Estacada, Johnson Shut-Ins State Park, the Black River, rural Washington State, and the Fort Lewis area.If you've experienced something you can't explain, email your encounter to bigfootsociety@gmail.com. Your story could help others who have witnessed the impossible.
When we asked what insect pests were bugging you, we got so many questions it turned into two podcast episodes! So, this week we sit back down with Dr. Anna Wallingford of New Hampshire Community Supported Research to answer the second half of the bug questions submitted by the audience. The first half of this podcast ran the week of 7/7/26 so you can still listen to that one if you haven't yet. There's also a free article linked in the show notes- cabbage aphids come up in the interview, so we linked to Dr. Wallingford's article from the June/July Growing for Market Magazine, “Scouting guidelines for brassica crops so you know what's OK and when to act.” In this week's interview we compare some of the organically-approved pest control options, like the difference between clarified and cold-pressed neem oil, and why only the former has azadirachtin. On that tip we also talk about why sub-lethal doses of some pesticides can make insects reproduce even more, and why BT is so well targeted to just the bugs that are damaging your plants. We also talk about controlling thrips, cabbage aphids, whether ants can be a farm pest, garden flea hoppers and tarnished plant bugs, cyclamen mites and more in this episode of the Growing for Market Podcast! After several chapters of prophecies of destruction at the hands of the Assyrians, Micah concludes his book with a promise of restoration for the people of Israel. Although there are some differences between the Masoretic text on which the old Testament of our English Bibles is based and the Septuagint, which was translated from Hebrew into Greek by about 200 BC, the overall message is the same: God will chastise His people for their behavior, but He will bless the remnant who repent and return to Him. THE WAR between the deep state and President Trump escalated this week when the president declassified documents revealing treasonous acts by elements within the CIA and FBI leading up to the 2020 election. This is a reminder that presidents don't have as much control over the United States government as we (or they) think. The irony is that the clever operatives in the intelligence community are not the ones ultimately in control of world events. As Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus, "we wrestle not against flesh and blood." In other words, events in the news are simply shadows of the real struggle taking place in the unseen realm. We also discuss the spiritual forces behind Islam and the true iudentity of Allah. And we talk about the outbreak of cyclospora in the US, a nasty parasite that causes severe gastrointestinal distress. In this episode of Talk Dirt To Me, we're answering your farming questions and breaking down the biggest stories impacting agriculture right now. We kick things off with some listener Q&As before diving into Bayer's new hybrid wheat. Is it GMO? How much more yield are they claiming? Is the ROI better than saved seed, and could hybrid wheat change the future of grain production? From there, we take a deep dive into the latest USDA Crop Progress Report, highlighting why Tennessee continues to be one of the nation's most overlooked row crop states despite ranking among the top performers for crop conditions. We compare the top five states for corn rated good to excellent, discuss how much of the U.S. corn crop has reached the silking stage compared to last year, and what these numbers could mean for yield potential heading into harvest. We also examine the latest farm equipment sales numbers, which segment is surprisingly showing growth, and what declining equipment sales say about the current farm economy. Another major topic is the newly announced $11 billion in federal farm aid plus maximum ARC/PLC payments. Will the payments provide meaningful relief, or will they simply lead to higher seed, fertilizer, and chemical prices next season? International trade is back in the spotlight as we discuss the new tariffs on thousands of Brazilian products and the complicated relationship between Brazil, China, and American agriculture. Could these tariffs create new opportunities for U.S. farmers, or will they ultimately strengthen Brazil's position with China? And because no episode is complete without a little fun, we wrap up by talking about the recent Cyclospora outbreak, why leafy greens seem to make the news more often than steaks, and share guidance that eating more beef might be the safest strategy after all. It's PID Radio's Throwback Thursday. Nearly 20 years ago, the Middle East—specifically Iran and Iraq—were at the center of the news cycle. Some things never change. Originally released February 25, 2007 WE'RE back with our first blather in weeks and it felt good to run through an hour of news analysis again! First things first: P.I.D. Radio will be here next week and for the foreseeable future. Thank you to everyone sent notes of support. It's truly humbling to know that this little homegrown show has reached around the world. We hope you had a chance to see The State Within on BBC America Saturday. The miniseries was a well-written and tightly directed political thriller that offers a glimpse into what might happen inside the halls of power in Washington, D.C. Wars are basically marketing ploys to drum up business for the military industrial complex back here at home. Meanwhile, it's back to blather on the news of the day. A remarkable development that has been little noticed by the major media: A group of American generals has apparently let it be known that they will quit if President Bush orders an attack on Iran. In addition, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Peter Pace, has said there is “no chance” of the U.S. going to war with Iran. In addition, a story that's set to break next week at the Intelligence Summit in Tampa reveals that Saddam had an active nuke program in 2002 and 2003. During the last six months of 2002, Saddam apparently built four very expensive nuclear storage and production facilities underneath the Euphrates River. Let's see how this is played in the media. In this episode of Bigfoot Society, you'll hear a collection of firsthand Bigfoot encounters from across North America. A witness from the mountains of West Virginia shares ongoing nighttime activity around his home, including whoops, grunts, eerie baby-like cries from the woods, and unexplained events that have left an entire community on edge. You'll also travel to Butte Falls, Oregon, where an experienced hunter recounts an encounter involving a powerful unexplained odor, fleeing wildlife, and a series of tree knocks believed to be communication between unseen creatures. Another listener revisits a terrifying 1989 camping trip north of Crater Lake, where heavy bipedal footsteps approached within feet of their campsite before disappearing into the darkness.Additional reports come from Shelby and Gaffney, where unusual tracks, six-fingered handprints, broken trees, and ongoing activity continue to raise questions, along with encounters from Discovery Bay, Port Townsend, and Floras Lake that include chilling screams, whoop exchanges, and a close nighttime encounter around a remote campsite. These are real people sharing experiences that have stayed with them for years. Listen all the way through and decide for yourself what may be waiting beyond the tree line.

This week we have the pleasure of learning from Clarenda “Farmer Cee” Stanley, author of the new book, The Black Girl's Guide to Building a Boutique Farm: Practical Advice to Keep Your Business Cute, Profitable, and Sustainable. In the book and interview, Cee tells us how she built her own Green Heffa Farms in North Carolina. She uses her background as a marketing and fundraising expert to provide practical guidance on launching and growing a farm brand rooted in authenticity and community. In the interview we talk about how to establish a brand identity and then scale it as your farm grows to be economically viable and culturally impactful. We discuss the essentials of brand-building for farms, including market positioning, storytelling, and cultivating a community presence. Cee has made her brand an extension of the farm, and we learn how to use our own farm brands to establish profitability, community impact and personal fulfillment. One rural property near Belton, Texas has become the center of years of unsettling reports, and this episode documents every one of them.Jeremiah Byron sits down with Elyot Kucharyski for a conversation that explores a remarkable series of firsthand experiences shared by multiple witnesses on the same property. The accounts include a towering Bigfoot standing beneath the trees with brilliant white eyes, rhythmic wood knocks in the middle of the night, powerful skunk odors, chilling vocalizations, mysterious eyeshine just beyond the tree line, unexplained flashes of light, and a frightened child describing a very tall figure walking through the woods. As the stories unfold, a striking pattern begins to emerge. Family members, overnight guests, and visitors all describe unusual activity occurring over several years at the same location. Their testimonies paint a detailed picture of recurring encounters that continue to leave more questions than answers. If you're fascinated by authentic eyewitness encounters, recurring Bigfoot hotspots, and thoughtful conversations about one of the most enduring mysteries in North America, this is an episode you won't want to miss.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter or unexplained experience?Resources:Off Road XFiles investigation on Bigfoot around Belton, Texas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOlXU2PEzj4
The Bible foretells a mysterious character called “the Assyrian” who seems to have a role in the end times war against Israel. Who is he? What's odd is the Hebrew text of Micah 5:5–6 (and Isaiah 14:25, 31:8, and 52:4) lacks the definite article “the.” In other words, there is no “the Assyrian” in the Old Testament. The Hebrew word Assur can referred to Assyria, its capital city, or its chief deity, who was the equivalent of the Sumerian/Babylonian god Enlil (called Ellil in Akkad), El of Canaan, Dagon of the Philistines, and Milcom of Ammon—and thus Molech, the netherworld god who demanded the sacrifice of children from his followers. We believe the passages in Micah are an “already but not yet” prophecy, referring to the imminent conquest of the northern kingdom of Israel by Assyria, which occurred during Micah's lifetime in 722 BC, and a future return of Assur in the end times as the Destroyer, Abaddon/Apollyon, who is released from the abyss for five months to torment those without the seal of God on their foreheads. NEW YORK CITY Mayor Zohran Mamdani is the smiling face of communism. But it's a mask. Most American political commentators focus on his economic policies, but it's his religion that's the real threat. While young voters, who have legitimate economic grievances, are mesmerized by his personal charm and the promise of free health care, education, and government services, Muslim voters are growing in number and political clout. This strange marriage of Muslims and Marxists is the same one that led to the downfall of the shah of Iran in 1979. What the Marxist intelligentsia seems not to have learned from history is that Iranian academics and progressives were the first against the wall once the Islamists took power. Also: Iran plots against President Trump; Greek pagans celebrate Prometheia at Mount Olympus; and 3,800 year old ritual offering found in Peru. Follow us! When you start homebrewing, it usually begins with a specific obsession. For this week’s guest, that obsession was a total lack of great, accessible Saisons in his local market, so he did what any passionate brewer would do: he eventually bought the whole homebrew supply shop! I am so delighted to sit down with Joshua Lord, the owner and brewer at The Brew Depot over in Alpharetta, Georgia. We’re diving deep into his journey from passionate hobbyist to taking the reins of a premier brick-and-mortar hub, and discussing exactly how he’s working to lower the barrier of entry for new brewers while helping us all get closer to our raw ingredients. It's PID Radio's Throwback Thursday. More than 10 years before Derek wrote Bad Moon Rising, Doug Hagmann, host of the Hagmann Report, was warning about Muslim enclaves embedded in the United States. Originally released January 14, 2007 OUR guest tonight is the founder and director of the Northeast Intelligence Network, Doug Hagmann. We're honored to bring this interview to you, as we've made heavy use of the information published by Doug at his website and on his podcast over the last couple of months. NEIN consistently brings to the public information that is missed, ignored, or suppressed by the major media, and we're blessed to count Doug as a contributor to Watcher Magazine. Our conversation focused on Doug's assessment of the religious war taking place between Islam and the West. Is it the product of evil men who've led their followers astray, or is there a spiritual, supernatural component?
