In this episode of The Ross Simmonds Show, Ross sits down with Travis Tallent of DayNova to unpack how organizations can use AI tools like Claude, Claude Code, Claude Chat, and Claude Co-Work to save time, improve workflows, and amplify business growth. Travis shares practical AI agent examples for marketing, sales, operations, finance, and account management, while emphasizing a strategic approach: automate the right work, keep humans in the loop, and reinvest saved time into higher-value output. Key Takeaways and Insights: 1. Using Claude to Build Smarter AI Workflows - Travis explains why Claude is his most-used AI tool and how he uses it for deep research, competitive analysis, proposals, and decision support. - Claude Code helps build and deploy proposal workflows, while Claude Chat acts as a strategic sparring partner. - Claude Co-Work can support daily briefs, research, project prioritization, and competitive monitoring. - The key is building strong skills with brand context, tone, design rules, and clear instructions so outputs feel useful and aligned. 2. The DayNova Framework for AI Transformation - Travis introduces the DayNova framework: Narrow, Orchestrate, Validate, and Amplify. - “Narrow” means identifying which tasks are actually worth automating instead of wasting time on low-impact workflows. - “Orchestrate” focuses on shared knowledge bases, governance, brand assets, and culture skills so teams use AI consistently. - “Validate” keeps humans in the driver's seat, while “Amplify” reinvests productivity gains into growth, innovation, and domain expertise. 3. Helping Teams Adopt AI Without Fear - Travis explains why AI adoption is not just a software rollout; it is a change management challenge. - Leaders need to acknowledge uncertainty, build psychological safety, and help teams turn anxiety into agency. - AI should be positioned as a tool to change how work gets done, not as something that replaces people's identity or value. - Successful adoption requires trust, team-specific training, and clear communication about how saved time will be reinvested. 4. AI Agents for Every Business Function - Marketing teams can build conversational agents connected to performance data, rankings, sales trends, and campaign insights. - Operations teams can create internal knowledge bases for policies, brand guidelines, culture, travel rules, and process documentation. - Account management teams can automate meeting notes, project management updates, and client communication scoring - Finance teams can use AI for PO reconciliation, forecasting, payroll workflows, contractor payments, and month-end close support. 5. AI for Sales, Revenue, and Relationship Building - Sales teams can use AI to summarize RFPs, analyze prospects, prepare for calls, and build automated sales coaching systems. - AI-powered prospect research helps teams enter conversations with stronger context and more relevant talking points. - Travis and Ross discuss how AI can strengthen both business and personal relationships through better follow-up and context tracking. - The highest-value human work shifts toward innovation, strategy, relationship-building, and big ideas that previously lacked enough time. Most leaders think they are delivering a great customer experience. Pierre Charchaflian of IBM says they are delivering yesterday's version. The new standard is not fixing problems when customers report them. It is knowing about the problem before the customer does, and solving it before they have to ask. That shift, from reactive to anticipatory, is what separates the brands that customers stay loyal to from those they leave without explanation. The technology to do it exists right now. Most companies are not using it. Pierre has spent 25 years at the intersection of data, technology, and customer experience, and he says this transformation is unlike anything he has seen before. The window to act is open. It will not stay that way. What You Will Learn About Anticipating Customer Needs With AI: What agentic AI actually is in plain language, why it is fundamentally different from prior AI capabilities, and what it means for your CX strategy starting now Why IBM's research found that technology stack limitations, not budget or talent, are the number one barrier preventing CMOs from delivering the customer experience they already know they need to deliver How agentic search engines are becoming a direct threat to brand digital presence, and what leaders need to do before their customers' AI agents start bypassing them entirely Why anticipating a customer's need before they express it is now a measurable competitive advantage, and what separates the companies building that capability from the ones still reacting How AI can read sentiment, detect frustration signals across structured and unstructured data, and trigger a response before a customer decides to leave Why conversion is the metric that tells the truth about whether your customer experience is actually working, and what NPS and CSAT consistently miss Download IBM's Win the Moment report now: https://www.ibm.com/thought-leadership/institute-business-value/en-us/report/customer-intent?utm_id=Stacy-Sherman-AdobeSummit-LinkedIn-IBVCMOStudy-04-16-26 #IBMPartner Have a question or thoughts to share? Orchestrate all the Things podcast: Connecting the Dots with George Anadiotis
We live in a world fraught with interfaces designed to work against you. Most people sense it. Few can prove it, and fewer still are trying to fix it. There is a particular kind of frustration that arrives when you understand a problem perfectly and cannot do a single useful thing about it. Marie Potel-Saville spent years living inside that frustration. First as a competition lawyer cycling through antitrust litigation across Europe. Then as in-house counsel watching the law get treated as a cost center. She pivoted, trained in innovation by design, and launched her first company in 2018. Potel-Saville was looking for the gap between what the law said and what the internet did to people. She found it immediately. The term was “dark patterns.” And her first instinct – the instinct of a lawyer and a builder – was to ask a question nobody in the field had thought to ask: what's the antidote? That question eventually became Fair Patterns, a multimodal AI platform that detects online manipulation and addictive design at scale. Fair Patterns went live in January 2026, and recently won the 2026 Digital StartUp award in cybersecurity and sovereignty. It is trying to redefine digital products and online experiences. Enterprises have agents. Most can't run them at scale. IBM's Suzanne Livingston explains what changes when you have hundreds — not two.Full Show NotesScaling agentic AI is not the same problem as building it. At IBM Think 2026 in Boston, I sat down with Suzanne Livingston, VP of Product for IBM watsonx Orchestrate, to talk about where enterprise organizations actually are on this journey — and what it takes to move from a pilot to a production environment running hundreds of agents across dozens of departments.Suzanne walks through the full watsonx portfolio, then goes deep on the challenge she hears from customers constantly: the agent worked in the demo, but now it needs to run reliably at scale, with proper governance, observable across the estate, and permissioned correctly for every user and every system it touches. That is a fundamentally different problem than building the agent in the first place. The new Orchestrate Agent Control Plane is IBM's answer to it.This episode is for enterprise technology leaders who have moved past "should we do agents" and are now asking "how do we run them well." If your organization is somewhere between first pilot and full production deployment, this conversation is the one to listen to this week. What We CoverWhy the jump from generative to agentic AI changes the operating model, not just the technologyWhat agent orchestration means in practice when you have 40 sub-agents reporting to one master agentWhat the Orchestrate Agent Control Plane does and why cross-estate visibility matters more than per-agent optimizationHow enterprises are treating AI agents like digital employees — with identities, goals, managers, and performance reviewsWhy governance isn't optional in an agentic environment and what "governance light" looks like for organizations just getting started.Guest BioSuzanne Livingston is Vice President of Product Management for IBM watsonx Orchestrate, IBM's enterprise AI orchestration platform. Guest co-host Mike Schulte joins Dave with 15 years of Pork Tornadoes social media wisdom, and the message is blunt: relentless consistency wins. You literally can’t post too much in 2026—nobody sees everything anymore, so repost that same flyer as a fresh post (not a share) and keep going. Give it 45 days before you judge results. Why invest? More fans mean more bodies at the gig, plus the social proof that signals to newcomers that other people already love you. And remember—you’re not competing with other bands, you’re competing with people’s couches. From there, Dave and Mike dig into the live-show craft. Build a sound check formula so it stops being a nightmare, then cook up a Suno-generated theme song to walk on to—Always Be Performing means the show starts before the first chord lands. Treat your setlist like art: the opener’s a throwaway, but song three is the most important slot of the night. Then think about your saturation—the Pork Tornadoes cap themselves at two ticketed gigs per year inside a 30-mile radius, and the minute they got scarce, their pay jumped tenfold. A fully autonomous machine learning engineering agent. A benchmark that matters. And a question that cuts deeper than the hype: when a machine does the work, what happens to the learning part? The race to automate software engineering is expanding to new territory: machine learning. Neo is a fully autonomous machine learning engineering agent that handles the entire pipeline from problem statement to deployed model. Built by Gaurav and Saurabh Vij, Neo topped the MLE-Bench leaderboard and compressed a six-month production effort into one week. The harder question Neo raises - whether agentic AI accelerates learning or hollows it out - remains open. Entrepreneur and healthcare investor Marcus Whitney joins the Matthews Mentality podcast to discuss his journey from growing up in Brooklyn and dropping out of college to teaching himself to code, becoming a CTO, and eventually co-founding and leading Jumpstart Health Investors, an early-stage healthcare venture firm. He explains why building companies in healthcare is uniquely difficult due to regulation and structural barriers like certificates of need, and why healthcare is now being “flanked” by multiple forces of disruption. Whitney also shares how he helped build Nashville SC from a fourth-division nonprofit into an MLS franchise, why he wrote Create and Orchestrate after experiences with prison entrepreneurship programs and a near-jail moment in his youth, and what jiu-jitsu taught him about humility, resilience, and pain tolerance.00:00 Entrepreneurship Fine Line00:58 Meet Marcus Whitney02:09 Jiu Jitsu Origins02:39 Healthcare VC Focus05:39 Why Healthcare Is Hard07:40 Brooklyn Eighties10:13 Self Belief And Wrestling13:15 College Dropout Lessons15:18 First Kid Turning Point16:08 Learning To Code17:51 First Startup Reality Check21:12 Entrepreneurship Misconceptions22:38 Velocity Hits Healthcare24:04 Nashville Healthcare Edge25:01 Pitching And Portfolio Math27:56 Knowing You Hit It31:40 Nashville SC Ownership34:33 Why He Wrote The Book38:37 Risk And Learning Styles38:53 Writing The Book39:30 Kids And Being Heard39:56 Finding Jiu Jitsu42:12 Competing And Winning Worlds44:21 Training Pressure And Balance46:12 Jiu Jitsu Lessons For Life49:07 Humility And Team Culture52:59 Why Mexico City55:46 Decisive Moves And Safety58:49 Advice To My Younger Self01:00:55 Integrity For Entrepreneurs01:03:00 Message To Brooklyn Kids01:07:47 A Co Founder Who Had My Back01:10:37 Co Founding Nashville SC01:12:32 Hardest Parts And Politics01:15:28 Closing Thoughts And Farewell

What if the chaos around us isn't collapse, but transformation? Michel Bauwens has spent decades mapping the edges of change. From peer-to-peer networks to the commons, from medieval guilds to distributed autonomous organizations, he's been tracking something most people miss: the seeds of a new civilization, already growing underneath the noise. In this conversation, we explore how the internet didn't just connect computers - it created an entirely new plane of human organization. One where people coordinate across the planet without hierarchies, intermediaries, or anyone giving orders. They call it cosmolocalism. What is heavy stays local. What can be shared, travels everywhere. But this isn't just theory. It's a lens. A way of reading history that tells you exactly where you are, and what's worth building right now. Are you post-seasonal, clinging to a logic whose time has passed? Seasonal, playing the current moment well? Or pre-seasonal, working on the seeds that will matter when the time is ripe? The caterpillar, Michel reminds us, already carries the DNA of the butterfly. This is Connected Thinking. Join us. Orchestrate all the Things podcast: Connecting the Dots with George Anadiotis
Software engineering is being transformed by AI faster than any other domain. Unpacking how this transformation is playing out may offer a glimpse into the future Greg Foster's journey into software engineering began in an unlikely place: a Nevada high school where he couldn't land a job at Starbucks. Instead of serving coffee, he taught himself software development. Foster developed what he calls "a lifelong obsession with the craft of software engineering". That obsession evolved from building apps to building for other builders. From Airbnb cofounding Graphite, where he now serves as CTO running what he calls "a dev tools team for the entire industry". Foster is now building the future of software development with Cursor. Foster doesn't just have a front seat to watch how AI is changing software engineering - he gets to shape the change. We caught up and talked about the past, present and future of software engineering. The takeaway? There is a world of difference between vibes and solid foundations for software engineering at scale. Article published on Orchestrate all the Things: https://linkeddataorchestration.com/2026/01/29/foundations-or-vibes-lessons-learned-from-using-ai-in-software-engineering/
In this episode, I discuss the core desire of business clients to feel in control and organized in their ventures and the importance of metrics in channeling focus and energy towards productive actions. I introduced the concept of 'building a system' through 5 fundamental control knobs: metric, habit, process, data sources, and ownership. This method empowers business owners to effectively measure, adjust, and fine-tune their business processes, thereby fostering growth and stability.00:49 The Importance of Metrics and Measurement02:40 Building Effective Systems: The Five Fundamental Knobs04:50 Becoming an Orchestrator: Mastering Business Cadence05:36 Channeling Energy for Business SuccessConnect with Raul: • Work with Raul: https://dogoodwork.io• Free Growth Resources: https://dogoodwork.io/resources• Connect with Raul on LinkedIn (DMs open): https://www.linkedin.com/in/dogoodwork/
