Adam Levy brings over 25 years of diverse legal experience to the bench, serving as one of three judges on Prime Video's Tribunal Justice, created by Judge Judy Sheindlin. Podcast Highlights: •    Levy talks about being part of a legal dynasty, including his mother, Judge Judy Sheindlin •    Levy discusses how the "rule of law" applied at home •    Levy shares the importance his mother's work ethic had on his professional development •    Levy shares a funny story of how his mother accepted a job on his behalf early in his career •    Levy shares his passionate views on the importance of truth and his disgust for those who blatantly lie •    As a young attorney, Levy would learn by reading transcripts of cases that  reflected the work of the best possible  lawyers, prosecutors and criminal defense lawyers  •    Levy discusses the instances where he and the other two Tribunal Justice judges disagree •    Levy shares his loathing for situations where various legal professionals don't play by the rules, especially when one of those involved seems more concerned about their own political aspirations •    Levy explains his views on the classification of public documents as well as conspiracy theorists and the value of critical thinking Having served two terms as Putnam County District Attorney in NY, Levy used his experience as a private practitioner to create pragmatic and impactful programs and initiatives to improve the fair and impartial administration of justice in the county where he lived, worked, and raised his family. This hands-on approach included extensive in-service training for all newly hired prosecutors and an open-door policy for his staff. Leading by example, Levy personally prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, including sexual assaults, political corruption, and witness intimidation matters. Levy also dedicated time to training the next generation of lawyers as well. He was an instructor at The National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a long-time educator at The New York Prosecutors Training Institute. These trainings helped lead, guide, and mentor young prosecutors in cross-examination and trial strategy skills as they began their legal careers. Levy's expertise was built through a lifetime of legal service. As a 1992 Hofstra Law School graduate, Levy began his career as an ADA at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, where he prosecuted a wide range of violent and non-violent offenders with a practice focused on seeking justice for women and children who were the victim of physical and sexual assault—He then co-founded his legal partnership, Levy & Santoro, in Carmel, NY. He brought his trial experience from Suffolk County to the people of Putnam County, handling complex criminal and matrimonial matters in courts throughout New York State. Levy's no-nonsense approach to cases and reputation as a skilled trial attorney and advocate ultimately led to his election as District Attorney in Putnam County, where he lived with his family. His daughter, Sarah Rose, a newly admitted lawyer, is the law clerk on "Judy Justice," where his mother, judicial icon Judge Judy Sheindlin, presides. Levy and his wife Lori have two other children, Jacob and Emma, who are still in school. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, scuba diving, white water rafting, and spending time with his family. Not long ago, Steven Petrow experienced one of the worst years of his life. He lost both his parents, separated from his husband, and learned that his sister had metastatic cancer. He began to question: how can one find joy during incredibly difficult times?   Award-winning Washington Post columnist Petrow explains that joy is not only around us, but within us. He examines this and so much more in his much-anticipated book "The Joy You Make: Find the Silver Linings--Even on Your Darkest Days."  Steven Petrow is an award-winning journalist and author who is best known for his Washington Post and New York Times essays on aging, health, and civility. He's a contributor to NPR and other news outlets and his TED Talk, "Three Ways To Practice Civility," has garnered nearly two million views. Petrow is the author of six previous books, including the bestselling "Stupid Things I Won't Do When I Get Old." He's North Carolina's 2024 Piedmont Laureate and lives in Hillsborough, North Carolina. In his latest book, he explores the many expressions of joy and shows readers how to find, cultivate, and share it. Combining his personal experiences with research and expert interviews, Petrow asks (and answers) the question: "What if there was a way to find the joy in everything?"  The connection between joy and grief are inseparable. Joy is present everywhere; it takes practice, we need to shift our mindset and we need to understand better to experience it.   ON THE KNOWS with Randall Kenneth Jones is a podcast featuring host Randall Kenneth Jones (bestselling author, speaker & creative communications consultant) and Susan C. SO MUCH HAPPENING THIS WEEK!We were delayed a day because the guys had a special, In-Lounge, guest host this week! Richie, from Super Media Bros, visited with Sam in person! Visiting family in Ohio, he made a memorable trip to hang out!Conversation with Richie had many different topics, from working in the refuse industry, becoming nose blind to MANY odors, etc. Still, another reason this episode was so special was because of the guest who came in to hang out... SUSAN BENNETT!Do you know who Susan is, before looking at this week's cover art? Many won't! She is the "Original Voice of Siri!"Susan jumps right into the Siri talk, and tells the story of "being Siri." There was a process to get words to sound like they were being said in a flowing sentence. How about other gigs while being Siri? Was it tough to go public that she was, in fact, Siri? What made her go public?Susan had, and has, a life outside of being the original voice of the virtual assistant revolution... and THAT is story enough to be entertaining!Susan was a fabulous guest! We now consider her a FRIEND OF THE LOUNGE... there really should be a sticker or patch to wear for this moniker!During the closer, Sam asked, "If you are the answer to a Trivial Pursuit question, does that make you a pop-culture icon?" The conversation on that is VERY interesting. One of our favorite episodes is 131! Such an engaging conversation with BOTH our guest-host and our guest! To say this one was fun... yeah, that wouldn't do this episode justice! We're going to let you decide! SO, sit back, relax, and take this episode as SIRI-ous, and that "Dad Joke!" #grabalistenProud Member: OddPods MediaPromos: Beer'd Al Podcast & Infectious Groove PodcastFollow us on Twitter (@500_section), Facebook (500 Section Lounge), and find us, along with all the other #OddPodsMedia shows at www.oddpodsmedia.com!

"If you just take that risk, make that jump, that leap of faith...more often than not, the universe has your back." What happens when you are the most recognized voice on the planet? You turn that into a professional speaking career. Susan C. Bennett give Brad Szollose the scoop on what happens when you become an icon. About Susan C. Bennett: You may not know Susan Bennett, but you definitely know her voice! Susan is a voice actor, singer, and speaker whose voice has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV commercials for such clients as McDonald’s, Macy’s, Goodyear, Papa John’s, Fisher Price, and more. She is the voice of Delta Airlines gates worldwide, as well as hundreds of GPS and phone systems, but you probably know her best as The Original Voice of Siri. Susan has appeared on nationally televised programs The Mariah Carey Merriest Christmas Special, The Queen Latifah Show, CNN, Showbiz Tonight, The Jack & Triumph Show, the new To Tell the Truth, and she read the Top Ten list for David Letterman! Susan was born in Burlington, Vermont, and spent her youth in New England. She was always interested in music and acting, which she pursued during her four years at Brown University, singing in theater productions, and in the jazz band, “Conglomerate.” Susan was the leader of the singing group, The Chattertocks, as well. After graduation, she married NHL hockey player, Curt Bennett, and moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where Curt played for The Atlanta Flames, and Susan began her voiceover and singing career. Susan toured with Burt Bacharach as a backup singer, and later toured and traveled the world with Roy Orbison, also singing backup vocals, with a featured duet. She sang jingles as well for such clients as Coca Cola, Georgia Power, Kroger, and Krystal restaurants. It was after a jingle session that Susan was asked to voice a commercial when the scheduled voice actor didn’t show up. She discovered that voiceover was something she did well and enjoyed, so she got a vocal coach, an agent, and started on a career that is still going strong. Since revealing herself as the Original Voice of Siri, Susan has a new career as a speaker, working with people at Harvard, The Federal Bank of Atlanta, Tedx Talks, Women in Business, Business Professionals of America, SwiftFest, etc., Susan continues to live and work in Atlanta, Georgia, along with second husband guitarist and audio engineer, Rick Hinkle, of Audiocam Music. Susan and Rick had a private event band called “Interactive!” for more than two decades, and they still continue to work together in their 60’s and 70’s rock and soul band, “Boomers Gone Wild!” Check out Susan’s website at www.SusanCBennett.com to hear demos of her voice work and speaker events; or follow her on Instagram and Twitter @ SiriouslySusan; or check out her Facebook Fan Page, Susan Bennett-voice of Siri. Two years later, he landed on the Great White Way, his heart set on a career as an actor. In relatively short order, Phillips developed an unexpected friendship with renowned actress Gertrude Lawrence. It was Lawrence who first suggested he make the career move from actor to stage management.  Paul’s remarkable credits include the original Broadway productions of “Fiorello!,” “Sweet Charity,” “Mame,” “Pippin,” “Chicago,” and “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.” Essentially, Paul Phillips spent his career protecting the integrity of some of the greatest American products of all time. In addition to Lawrence, Philips worked alongside Judy Garland, Tallulah Bankhead, Angela Lansbury, Beatrice Lillie, Ann Miller, Chita Rivera and, his dear friend, confidant and “soulmate," Gwen Verdon. Gwen Verdon starred in the original Broadway productions of “Damn Yankees,” “Sweet Charity,” “Chicago” and more. A critically acclaimed Broadway performer in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, Gwen was the recipient of four Tony Awards. She is also strongly identified with her second husband, director/choreographer Bob Fosse. Their relationship is the subject of FX Networks’ “Fosse/Verdon” with Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams. Gwen Verdon died on October 18, 2000. Gwen has two children, Jimmy Henaghan and Nicole Fosse. This episode is dedicated to the memory of the extraordinary Ms. Verdon. His work includes the cult classics: “Sordid Lives,” “Sordid Lives, The Series” and “A Very Sordid Wedding.” His most recent project is the national tour of his new show, “Six Characters in Search of a Play.” On This Episode Randy confesses he wants everyone to love Del Shores' work as a writer and director as much as he does. Randy and Del focus on his most famous work, “Sordid Lives” (2 films and a TV series). Del tells fabulous stories about Rue McClanahan, Caroline Rhea, Debra Messing, Thomas Haden Church and “Queer as Folk.” In large part, Shores’ various Sordid iterations tackle the universal topics of love and acceptance juxtaposed against bigotry and religion gone awry.   Twitter: @randallkjones @siriouslysusan @DelShores Instagram @RandallKennethJones @SiriouslySusan @DelShores www.RandallKennethJones.com www.SusanCBennett.com www.DelShores.com
