After an inspired home performance against Miss St, Auburn looks to continue its improved offensive play on the road against Vanderbilt. Vandy hasn't put up much fight against anyone this season, so it would be a good opportunity for Auburn to put together 2 weeks of competent offensive output. However, B Wil, Ike, and special guests Dylan (The College Loop) and Dustin (The Uptempo Pod) aren't completely sold that it will be as easy as it should be. EPISODE 245It wasn't a difficult task to upend last week's debacle. We tried, but you'll have to be the judge to see if we made up the shitty show a week ago.Despite not having a lot of "Golf News," we still had some things to discuss. The Golf Stop is a new Simulator Lounge in Henderson (West Henderson, along the St Rose Corridor, to be exact) that is opening up in a few weeks, and Matt got a sneak peek at the inside of the new facility.https://thegolfstop.com/LIV Golf made a small sampling of a news story when their appeal for OWGR points was shot down again, which left us questioning if they'll ever abandon the escapade and focus on making their events more relevant or continue trying to make it happen.https://www.livgolf.com/ Joe finally ended his month-long hiatus of not playing Golf as Jeremy, Dan, and he played out at Boulder Creek Golf Club on Sunday. As for me, well, I'm "taking a break" from Golf as some family was in town and didn't allow me to get out on the course. We did chat a little about the weird FedEx Fall point allocation process and gave a rundown of the "The Next 10," which is the end goal for guys playing in these seven events. Much to our surprise, there has not been a lot of movement in the standings.Jeremy questioned Joe about his desire to play a persimmons driver, and his response came directly from the pages of the Soul Golf Bible. The VGN has two events over the next two weeks. Our King of the Green IV contest is out at Angel Park, and then the regular season's final event takes place at Las Vegas National. Reports in have Natty being in DAMN GOOD SHAPE!https://vegasgolfnetwork.com/ We wrapped up the show with some totally off-topic discussions that concluded with a few "Passion of the Christ" references that Joe for sure didn't want to get into! https://g.co/kgs/XjSX2FEnjoy the rest of your week, everyone, and we'll catch you next week with a new episode of The Chasing Daylight Podcast!-----------------------------------------------------------------If you haven't checked out our NEW YouTube channel, please do and hit that Subscribe Button for us! This episode explores the subject of vulnerability, male culture, and parenting specifically in the context of heteronormative relationships and how men can show up as better dads to their differently wired children. And I have the perfect guest to explore this topic with — Todd Adams, half of the duo of Zen Parenting Radio, and a leadership coach for men and the executive director of the international men's organization, Men Living. Todd and I looked at the societal norms and pressures on men that get in the way of their being vulnerable in their relationships, feel more connected at home, and hold emotional space for their families, especially in families with neurodivergent kids and where the demands on relationships (emotionally, mentally, and physically) may be more intense. We also talked about what women can do to support and encourage their male partners to do inner work and show up as dads in a way that will better support their relationships and their family as a whole. Things you'll learn from this episodeWhat the a “man box” is (and how it differs from “toxic masculinity”)The barriers in a heteronormative relationship that stand in the way of men feeling connected, including the additional challenges when raising a differently wired childHow families can benefit from men showing up and being more vulnerable in their relationshipsWhat women can do to encourage their male partners to do the work and how they can support them through itHow dads can find other like-minded dads and connect with themResources mentioned for dads, the "man box" and how men can better show up for their kids and familiesMen LivingZen Parenting Radio (Todd and Cathy Adams' podcast)Todd Adam's Coaching SiteGetting Aligned Through Parenting and Marriage Challenges, with Todd and Cathy Adams (Tilt Parenting Podcast)Cathy Adams on Zen Parenting in an Unpredictable WorldThe ManKind ProjectThe Mask You Live InJennifer Siebel NewsomA New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose by Eckert Tolle Support the showConnect with Tilt Parenting Visit Tilt Parenting Take the free 7-Day Challenge Read a chapter of Differently Wired Follow Tilt on Twitter & Instagram

This week on the Better Show we are pleased to present Dr. Stephanie Estima's second solo episode on Fasting for Women. Dr. Stephanie thought she would share part of her presentation that she showed at Oxford University, who are currently working in the Oxford Longevity Project. Today's episode is a continuation from PT1 which covered some of the differentials we have to consider when fasting as a woman. We continue our discussion on fasting for women with PCOS, what the symptoms are and what tweaks we can make to better your well-being. If you are an Estrogen Dominant woman, be sure to listen to this as your typical fasting instructional might be leading you in the wrong direction and you should consider a caloric-fast…and no that is not an oxymoron. Next Dr. Stephanie Estima educates us about chronic inflammation and stress, and how the majority of all humans have these symptoms. We discuss how fasting can benefit and sometimes rectify these symptoms like weight loss resistance, lack of energy, insomnia and difficulties staying asleep. The next topic is Leptin, the good old hormone that signals to your brain that you are full and to stop eating. Fasting can be more difficult for women compared to men, as a baseline women have 3-4 times more leptin than their male counterparts. We round out this episode of the Better show by talking about the negative effects of fasting on the thyroid. This impacts women that have been fasting for a long time, so be sure to test and look out for your thyroid as you incorporate fasting into your lifestyle long term, We hope this episode helped shed some light on fasting as a woman, be sure to go back and check out our previous episode on the topic, and we hope to catch you next week for our AMA! Episode Overview: 0:00 Introduction2:00 PCOS12:30 Fasting with PCOS20:45 Fasting with Estrogen Dominance    29:00 Chronic Inflammation & Stress 33:50 Leptin 40:20 Fasting's Impact on the Thyroid  50:00 Conclusion Link to Part 1 - Why Fasting for Women is Different with Dr. Stephanie Estimahttps://youtu.be/dREHxD1Mrdo Sign up for my FREE MASTERCLASS: HEALTHY OFFERS - for health practitioners looking for strategies to earn more moneyAre you A Healthcare Practitioner? This week on the Better Show we are pleased to present Dr. Stephanie Estima's speech at Changemaker 2022. Dr. Stephanie Estima has over 19 years in practice, she's a best selling author, and ofcourse your host of the Better Show on this here channel. We begin by talking about the impact of dopamine and serotonin on our neurophysiology when we win. How and why it feels great to win, and how our brain remembers that joyous feeling, pushing us to win again. Dr. Stephanie explains the difference in longevity between winning and just missing out on winning by studies on Olympians, high level athletes, and on Nobel Peace Prize winners and runner ups life spans. We dive back into dopamine and how testosterone responds in accordance with its level. Winners and losers have different levels of testosterone, winning will set you up towards neurological momentum, and losing can send you into a neurological tail spin respectively. We continue with implementable strategies on how to increase your levels of dopamine, including chocolate, nicotine, the pursuit of sex, and exercise. Additionally when you think about something that is pleasurable to you, your brain will release dopamine as well as when you eventually engage in said activity. The dopamine and oxytocin increase we get when we are a part of a community is something we as a human species need and is great for your brain and longevity. Next we hear the pitfalls we can fall into by creating a reward system based around a future outcome, and how time seems to slow when we pursue that and will require a lot more dopamine to attain. We finish off this speech by discussing the mindset shift way from the outcome of winning and towards putting forth 100% effort. This change in approach can be drastically different and your brain will release dopamine during the process and not just at the end of the race. Episode Overview: 0:00 Introduction1:40 What it feels like to Win5:00 Winning's Impact on Longevity6:30 Dopamine & Testosterone10:00 Ways to Increase your Dopamine Levels  17:00 Dopamine's Impact on Time 19:00 Effort Reinforcement22:00 Conclusion Sign up for my FREE MASTERCLASS: HEALTHY OFFERS - for health practitioners looking for strategies to earn more moneyAre you A Healthcare Practitioner? Diana is a real food nutritionist and a sustainability advocate in Boston, hosts a podcast called “The Sustainable Dish Podcast” and runs her own clinical nutrition practice. We begin the episode by talking about the stigma around meat consumption and what and why our governments have such influence on eating red meat. We discuss the american diet and a brief history of Kellogg's impact on society at the beginning of it's breakfast cereal reign in the food industry. Diana explains the misconceptions around methane creation from livestock compared to other industries and it's impact on greenhouse gasses. How the myriad of plant based products actually use fossil fuels to be created, and how us humans with our diet and nutrition can alter our carbon footprint. Perceptions of what healthy looks like, pushing veganism in public schools and the virtue signaling being put on display on the daily is doing the planet a disservice. We weigh the balance of animal death, our own death as humans, and what animals we save compared to others. This week we welcome Kashif Kahn to the Better Show to talk about Genetics. Kashif is the CEO of The DNA Company, and we were able to speak in depth with him about our pre-determinants that will impact many aspects of our lives. We began talking about DNA reports, why copy variants are super important in gene reporting. Clinicians listen up because we spoke about androgens and hormones such as testosterone and estrogen. We dove deep into Methylation, and more specifically the COMT gene and it's role in methylation and how it impacts a person's personality and their aversion to risk. We had a very nuanced discussion about Autism, and the ability to detoxify adjuvants in vaccines and the environment as a predisposition for someone being exposed to those toxicants. We rounded out the conversation talking about fat and carbohydrates and how much of a role our genetic makeup plays in how we process them. We also touch on EQ and IQ, and just an overall interesting conversation if you are a parent or family member that may be be interested in our genetic makeup.
