Galvenā pasniedzēja bija mājas saimnieces Emīlijas māsa Lūcija, tāpēc to sauca par Lūcijas skolu.

Carrie is a return guest. The last time she was on this show was in April, 2023, Episode 29. She told us her harrowing story of being adopted into a situation of childhood sexual assault (CSA) at the hands of her adoptive father. The impact was devastating. Yet, Carrie survived and became a strong, resilient woman whose goal became doing all she could to raise awareness of CSA and help bring justice to victims and survivors to help reduce the prevalence of CSA. That goal and her efforts to advocate for victims and survivors has only amplified since last we talked on this show. Since then, Carrie and I have maintained contact, on and off, mostly through texting and social media. Just a few weeks ago, I suggested to Carrie that maybe it was time to have her back on this show to tell us how life has been since she was last interviewed, and how her healing journey has progressed. Since her last appearance, Carrie has gotten married: she's now Carrie Eberts. And she's moved to Missouri. And also she has geared down in her presence on social media. Where she once had a site that had 1000+ followers, she had downgraded to a much smaller presence. She explains why in this episode. But what she hasn't done is downgraded in her desire to be an advocate for child victims and survivors of sexual assault. Nor has she become less of an influence. She just takes a different approach now. And part of that is appearing on this show to bring us all up to date. Carrie maintains her strong presence and her desire to raise awareness of childhood sexual abuse and still works hard to bring down the prevalence rate. She proclaims that she will always strive to help victims and survivors on their healing journey. She is relentless in her will and efforts to do just that. And I am proud that she is back to tell us all about it. As I said last time Carrie joined us, “I appreciate Carrie and all she is doing to help victims and survivors. And after listening to her story and words of encouragement, I think you, too, will appreciate Carrie.” Thank you for being a SASS listener. Please subscribe to the show, then give it a five-star rating. This helps in the grand scheme of algorithms to increase the opportunity of more people to know about and listen to this important and powerful podcast. I hope you will also do your part to bring justice to victims and survivors of rape and sexual assault. You can do that by sharing this episode with others, and that when you listen to others tell their story of rape or sexual assault, you'll Start by Believing. Also, please follow the Instagram page of sexualassaultsurvivorstories. It also helps the show grow, which is what I hope to accomplish to help lessen the prevalence of rape and sexual assault, as well as the prevalence of rape culture that surrounds us all. It only takes a minute and I truly appreciate your support. And as always, here are some important and meaningful websites I hope you'll take a look at and learn about. And, finally, again…HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope each of you find joy, happiness, fulfillment, healing, and love this coming year! Welcome back to the Purpose Summit series on Stories from the River! In the sixth part of the series, host Charlie Malouf welcomes Dwight Eberts as a guest. Dwight, who works in the same building as Davin and has attended four Purpose Summits, sat down for a podcast interview before he was scheduled to lead a breakout session titled "Breaking Boundaries." In this episode, Dwight shares his background, revealing that he met Davin at church during a mission trip to Guatemala, which led to their friendship and professional relationship. He discusses his early career in the Detroit area, where he co-founded an insurance marketing organization. Dwight elaborates on the challenges of managing rapid business growth and learning to lead effectively without prior experience, which led him to seek a business coach. Dwight's journey into coaching began after realizing the negative impact his demanding career was having on his family life. His coach, whom he humorously refers to as a life coach, helped him prioritize and balance his personal and professional life. This transformative experience motivated Dwight to embrace leadership and eventually pursue coaching for his own career. He realized that he loved walking alongside other people. Now, Dwight's coaching business focuses on helping individuals identify and overcome areas where they are not reaching their full potential. In his breakout session "Breaking Boundaries," he aims to provide attendees with the tools to develop clear, actionable plans to improve various aspects of their lives. His focus is to help people get clear, confident, and committed. Getting clear is about understanding your values, your priorities, and evaluating your time. Getting confident refers to the mind. Our actions and results are rooted in our thoughts and beliefs. Focusing on a growth mindset, and addressing limiting thoughts and beliefs, can often help us grow and develop. This special Halloween episode of FM On Demand with Tara Fitzpatrick features OU Culinary Services Executive Pastry Chef Vicki Van Pelt and Southeast Ohio History Center Tour Guide George Eberts. In a “trick, then treat” style interview, we weave together local ghost stories with tempting treats from the bake shop. Eberts is a skeptic, but he manages to still give us chills! And Van Pelt, a native of West Virginia, is sharing not only the sweet and savory treats from the dining team, but also her knowledge of a West Virginia legend, the Mothman! We also get into why and how local lore gets started and sticks, the way mental health and the fear of the unknown plays into it all as well. So get cozy with some hot cider and a donut and let's tell some spooky stories!

Shari Eberts has lived with hearing loss for most of her adult life, driving her towards advocacy in the field. She has a published book, updates a successful weekly blog, and speaks at conferences and panels.
