While some IT departments are investing in OT cybersecurity platforms, 85% of the data these tools collect is designed for OT teams to act upon. Unfortunately, plant floor personnel, system integrators, and OEMs working in these environments rarely get access to dashboards, asset inventories, or vulnerability reports.Organizations must move beyond the "oil and water" mentality between IT and OT. This means involving plant personnel in cybersecurity decisions, sharing data with trusted partners who "build the cars" (not just buy them), and recognizing that effective OT security requires collaboration with the people who live and breathe on the plant floor every day.Bottom Line: If you're not sharing cybersecurity data with your system integrators, OEMs, and plant operations teams, you're not practicing true IT-OT convergence. You're missing critical opportunities to improve your security posture where it matters most.Chapters:00:00:00 - Why Local Collaboration is Critical for Cybersecurity Success00:01:07 - Meet Dino and Craig: Experts in IT/OT Integration00:01:49 - Unpacking the Challenges of IT/OT Convergence00:02:28 - Why IT and OT Teams Often Struggle to Align00:04:48 - Building Collaborative Frameworks for Stronger Cybersecurity00:07:33 - The Role of CIOs and CISOs in Driving Change00:08:44 - Navigating the Complexities of Diverse Plant Environments00:10:23 - Partnering with Vendors to Enhance Security Outcomes00:11:16 - Key Questions to Evaluate System Integrators Effectively00:16:35 - Using Tabletop Exercises to Align IT and OT Teams00:22:20 - Closing Thoughts: Bridging the Divide for Unified CybersecurityLinks And Resources:Want to Sponsor an episode or be a Guest? Are you aware that being a bottleneck is a hidden addiction for many agency founders, driven by a subconscious need to feel important or irreplaceable? In this episode of The Agency Blueprint, I explain why burnout doesn't stem from effort alone, but from a lack of systems, delegation, and process structure. I also explain how to implement simple yet effective systems that allow your agency to grow without your constant input.Don't miss this episode to learn more about the power of systems and checklists for agency owners and teams looking to avoid errors, delays, and sleepless nights.Key Questions:[00:41] How is being the sole decision-maker in your agency turning your passion into overwhelm and burnout?[05:25] Where are you truly needed in your agency, and what can you start letting go of today?[06:52] How might systems actually create more space for your creativity?[11:40] Are you relying on memory instead of structured checklists to run your business?[13:44] Is communication in your agency helping or hurting your productivity? What You'll Discover: [01:45] How urgency becomes constant when there's no delegation, making owners feel they must always “be on.”[03:05] The psychological pull of being needed, and how that can lead to structures that perpetuate founder dependency.[05:25] The internal battle to face when letting go of control, plus the warning signs of full burnout.[06:52] How well-built systems evolve, allowing you to replace yourself from the day-to-day and grow the business strategically.[08:52] Why great systems must have clear reminders, checkpoints, and full transparency without micromanaging.[10:17] The concept of system validation and how rules-based checks prevent small but critical oversights.[11:10] Why memory is not enough and how simple things can fall through the cracks without written processes and checklists.[12:24] How to train your team to use the checklist and validate each step, ensuring consistent quality and autonomy.[13:44] Why poor communication channels are a leading cause of confusion and productivity loss in teams.[15:49] Why teams who invest early in structured project launches tend to stay on budget and on time.

Episode Summary YFP Co-Founder & CEO, Tim Ulbrich, PharmD, and YFP Co-Founder & COO, Tim Baker, CFP®, RLP®, RICP®, tackle a common concern about working with a financial advisor: Does paying a 1% fee for assets under management (AUM) really eat away a quarter of your investment gains over time? But this episode isn't just about math. Tim and Tim also zoom out to look at the bigger picture: What's the ROI of the fee you're paying? Because it's not just about investment returns, it's also about the potential behavioral coaching, tax strategies, withdrawal planning, and comprehensive financial guidance that a good advisor brings to the table. When it comes to retirement planning, two deceptively simple questions can reveal everything: Am I going to be okay? What rate of return do I actually need? In this episode, Nick and Jake unpack what those questions really mean and why getting clear answers can make or break your retirement. From defining what “okay” looks like (hint: it's not just a dollar amount) to calculating how hard your money needs to work without taking unnecessary risk, they illustrate how a solid retirement plan is more like tubing behind a boat than picking the hottest stock. You don't want to go so slow that inflation sinks you, or so fast that you wipe out. Join us to get more clarity, balance, and confidence in the next phase of life. "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." — Proverbs 15:22When it comes to managing money wisely, many of us could use some help, but how do you know you've found the right financial advisor? Today, we'll explore a few key questions you should ask when hiring someone to help you with your financial decisions. Sharon Epps is here to help us navigate that process.Sharon Epps is the President of Kingdom Advisors, FaithFi's parent organization. Kingdom Advisors serves the broad Christian financial industry by educating and equipping professionals to integrate biblical wisdom and financial expertise. How to Find a Financial Advisor Who Aligns With Your FaithFinding a financial advisor can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. With the right questions and a clear framework, you can confidently choose someone who aligns with your values, demonstrates technical competence, and offers a transparent process. Here are three things to consider when hiring a financial advisor who shares your faith and values.  1. Values Alignment: Do They Share Your Worldview? The most important starting point is finding an advisor whose faith informs their advice. There's a big difference between an advisor who is a Christian and one who actively discusses financial decision-making through a biblical lens.Key Questions to Ask:What role does faith play in your financial advice? How do you define financial success? You're listening for more than a respectful nod toward your faith. You want to know if they see money as a tool for stewardship, generosity, and Kingdom impact, not just a means of personal gain.2. Competency: Are They Qualified to Serve You?Once values are aligned, it is essential to ensure the advisor has the technical skills and experience necessary to guide your financial decisions.Look for:Industry certifications (like CFP®, CPA, CKA®, etc.)Experience working with clients in your stage of lifeKey Question to Ask:Can you tell me about clients you've served who are in a similar situation to mine?Good advisors won't name names, but they should be able to share stories of impact that demonstrate how they've helped people like you.3. Process & Compensation: Are They Transparent and Clear?A trustworthy advisor will be open about how they make money and how they work with clients.Key Questions to Ask:Can you explain how you're compensated—fees, commissions, or both—for someone like me?What is your process for creating a financial plan? They should be able to explain their step-by-step approach, timeline, and what you'll need to provide—all in clear, understandable terms. That's the kind of advisor worth seeking out.On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:My wife and I want to set up a will. We have a son we support and want to make sure he gets everything. I talked to a lawyer who said trusts aren't necessary anymore and are expensive.
