Andrew Jenkins, the Traitors star, joins James Smith for a raw conversation about resilience, identity, and rebuilding a life after everything is taken away. At 21, Andrew was pronounced dead at the scene of a catastrophic car accident, lost half his skull and over half his blood, and was told he'd never walk, talk, or recognise anyone again. He walked out of that hospital and then spent 15 years suffering in silence behind a good body, a nice house, and a successful banking career.
For many people, calorie counting starts with good intentions. But somewhere along the way, it stops being a helpful tool and becomes something else entirely. It becomes control. If you've ever felt guilty for eating over your calories, anxious about meals you couldn't track, or believed your day was "ruined" because you went over your target, this episode is for you. In this episode of the Shane Walsh Podcast, we explore why calorie counting isn't the problem—but using it to manage anxiety, self-worth, or control can quietly damage your relationship with food. Calorie tracking can be incredibly effective when it's used with purpose. But if your confidence, mood, or self-worth depends on hitting a number every day, it's time to ask a different question. Are you tracking your food… Or is your food tracking you? Online Coaching www.shanewalshfitness.com/onlinecoaching
Most people think online coaching means a laptop, a beach, and total flexibility. Ajay Sidhu is here to tell you that's not even close to reality.Ajay works full-time as an online coach, managing 60+ clients at once, delivering body transformations for a US-based client base. In this episode, he breaks down exactly what proper online coaching involves, the structure it requires, and why it's often more demanding, not less, than working in person.Matt and Ajay cover the biggest mistake coaches make when someone first signs up, how to build genuine rapport without ever meeting a client face to face, why a single Loom video can save you hours of back-and-forth messaging, and what coaches should actually be charging for this kind of service.Matt also shares his own take on the business model he'd recommend to any in-person coach looking to add online coaching properly, without sacrificing what makes their in-person work valuable. This episode is genuinely one of the most detailed, practical breakdowns of online coaching delivery you'll find anywhere in this space. In this episode:What online coaching actually is, and why most people misunderstand itThe mistake Matt made himself when he first tried online coachingWhy front-loading the relationship matters more than jumping straight into training and nutritionHow to structure check-ins, calls, and ongoing communication properlyWhy Loom videos build more trust and save more time than text messagesWhat to do when a client stops being compliant or goes quietWhat coaches should really be charging for online coachingThe hybrid business model combining small in-person groups with premium online coachingIf you're a personal trainer considering adding online coaching to your business, or already doing it and wondering if you're doing it properly, this episode will give you a clear, honest picture of what it actually takes.Find Ajay: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ajaysidhucoachBook a Business Breakthrough Call: https://mattrobinsoncoaching.com/speak-with-matt

In this week's episode I cover how personal trainers are building six-figure online coaching businesses in 2026, and why it takes far more than the latest content strategy or funnel. I break down the five key traits that separate successful online coaches, from having a clear vision and closing knowledge gaps to building a focused brand, understanding your audience and treating online coaching like a serious business rather than a side hustle.
A couple of weeks ago I represented Great Britain at the European Duathlon Championships in Spain and came home with a bronze medal in my age group.I'd shared bits of the journey on social media, but there wasn't really room to tell the whole story, so that's what this episode is about. From entering my first 10k just 18 months earlier, to qualifying for age group Team GB, making plenty of mistakes along the way, training through one of the hardest years of my life and eventually standing on a European Championship podium, it's been a journey I'll never forget. I run a $100 million company in about 20 hours a week. I just got back from a few weeks in Europe with my family where I worked a fraction of that and the business kept going. In this episode, I walk through the four things we teach every expert we work with — and the third one is the one that changes everything. Most experts are trapped by the same thing: they're so good at the work that they never make the leap from doing the work to building a machine that does the work. I break down why hiring more people is usually the wrong answer, the specific rule I use to decide what to hand off (and what to keep), and why the hardest part isn't building the machine — it's taking your hands off it and letting it run. I also give away a free AI tool I built called the Voice Engine that trains AI to write in your actual voice instead of generic slop. Link's in the description. "The real reason you won't delegate isn't that they can't do it well enough. It's that some part of you needs to be the one who does it. That's not standards — that's ego. And it's going to ruin your life."
Tom Hawley joins James Smith to expose the deliberate machinery behind a cost-of-living crisis most people don't even know is happening to them. The co-founder of Azura Financial, one of Australia's top 10 brokerages and a three-time Residential Broker of the Year, Hawley argues that inflation isn't a natural force but a policy choice, a quiet tax on your purchasing power that hits lower and middle-income earners hardest precisely because they can't see it.

After seven and a half years of working exclusively online, Kehla G. has started stepping into a new world—working with brick-and-mortar businesses through her role as a Business Coach with Avid Business Performance Group. What she's discovering is forcing her to rethink some of the most common conversations happening in the online business space. In this episode, Kehla explores the difference between a business that performs and a business that simply looks good online. She unpacks why so many entrepreneurs focus on followers, engagement, alignment, and self-expression while overlooking the numbers that actually drive growth, profitability, and sustainability. She also shares the uncomfortable realization that many entrepreneurs have been taught to diagnose business problems through identity rather than performance—assuming they need another certification, strategy, or breakthrough instead of identifying the actual constraint inside the business. Inside this episode, Kehla discusses: The difference between expertise and building a business Why leads, conversion, revenue, profit, and retention matter more than most entrepreneurs realize How business owners accidentally create growth they can't sustain The danger of making every business challenge a personal failure Why understanding a founder and understanding a business are two completely different conversations How measuring the right things changes the way you make decisions If you've ever questioned whether you're the problem when your business isn't producing the results you want, this episode offers a different perspective—and a different place to look. Tom Bilyeu joins James Smith to discuss how broken the modern economy really is. The host of Impact Theory and co-founder of Quest Nutrition argues that inflation is theft, that you cannot save your way to success anymore, and that elites are quietly funneling wealth from the working class. He explains: ◼️ Why a balanced budget changes every policy argument ◼️ How property markets get fixed by deregulation, not taxes ◼️ Why men should be encouraged to go hard in the paint ◼️ How AI is shrinking headcount while multiplying output ◼️ Why paying down debt can quietly beat the stock market

A LinkedIn growth expert and founder who's helped thousands of professionals turn themselves into trusted authorities, Lara breaks down why most people are doing LinkedIn wrong — and why the platform isn't the problem, corporate is.
Paul Sloane joins James Smith to dismantle the myth of bad luck and reveal why the most successful innovations in history happened entirely by accident. A Cambridge engineer, former IBM marketer, and bestselling author, Sloane argues that what most people write off as misfortune is actually a hidden opportunity, and the people who notice it are the ones who change industries.
