Ich weiß noch gar nicht, ob ich das, was bei dieser Folge passiert ist, verarbeitet habe; Weil wir sind einfach Live bei einem der größten Musikfestivals aufgetreten - dem Hurricane Festival in Scheeßel in Norddeutschland! Vor einem Jahr noch hatte ich die Idee dazu und da haben wir ehrlicherweise auch nicht ganz mit gerechnet, dass das wirklich klappt! Aber dann waren wir tatsächlich im Line Up und durften euch vor zwei Wochen Live auf der Bühne unseren Gast vorstellen: Ralph Caspers! Vielen bekannt unter dem Namen “Der Wissen macht Ah Typ mit der Brille”. Er hat uns jahrelang Sachen im Fernsehen beigebracht und das hat er auch in dieser Folge in gewisser Weise getan! Ralph hat uns nämlich nochmal daran erinnert, wie wertvoll Erinnerungsstücke sind und wie wir schon mit kleinen Gesten, Großes bewirken können. Der TSV 1860 beendet die Saison 2025/26 mit einer letzten Watschn. Der Löwe verliert das Totopokal-Finale gegen Regionalligist Würzburger Kickers im Elfmeterschießen und verpasst die letzte Chance auf ein versöhnliches Ende. Wäre ja auch zu schön gewesen, aber eigentlich musste es ja so kommen. Besonders bitter ist die Verletzung von Thore Jacobsen, was uns sehr bewegt. Aber welche Schlüsse zieht Sechzig jetzt aus dieser verkorksten Spielzeit, bzw. welche Stellschrauben können überhaupt gedreht werden und welche Hebel müssen in Bewegung gesetzt werden? Was erhoffen wir uns für die Löwen 2026/27? Außerdem beschäftigen wir uns damit, dass der TSV 1860 und der FFC Wacker München sich in "intensiven und konstruktiven Gesprächen über eine mögliche strategische Zusammenarbeit im Frauen- und Mädchenfußball" befinden. Was kann das heißen? Wie sehen Chancen und Risiken aus? Mit dem Ende dieser Saison verlassen wir auch zum letzten Mal diesen Stammtisch und beenden unseren Podcast im Zeichen des Löwen. Schnee headlined, “Contact Reported Near Pyrogovskoye Lake.” It tells the tale of an unnamed Red Army officer who said he was taken aboard a craft by “two men in dull-coloured cellophane like garments,” who told him they wanted to have a talk. In his introduction, Schnee explains that Soviet UFOlogists were of the belief that there were no Russian CE-3 cases. He cites Felix Y. Oh what a long Weekend!!! Sven & Tippi nehmen Euch mit auf einen Trip zum Hurricane 2024 in Scheeßel. Viele, viele Hammer-Bands, einige Befremdlichkeiten, Stimmen der Festivalbesucher und jede Menge Rock 'n' Roll. Dass der letzte Tag des Festivals getrennt voneinander verbracht wurde – und dann auch noch 90 km voneinander entfernt – tut dem Spaß absolut keinen Abbruch. Die Open-Air-Saison steht vor der Türe. Auch im Norden werden wieder zahlreiche Festivals für diese besondere Mischung aus Live-Musik, kollektiver Euphorie, Sonnen- oder eben Schlammbad sorgen – sei es das Hurricane Festival bei Scheeßel im Juni oder die Fusion in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, sei es das Deichbrand in Cuxhaven im Juli, das schleswig-holsteinische Wacken Open oder das Hamburger Dockville Open-Air im August. Doch Pandemie und Klimawandel, globale Krisen und gesellschaftliche Veränderungen stellen auch die eingespieltesten Organisationsteams von Festivals vor ganz besondere Aufgaben. Wie lässt sich vor allem junges Publikum ansprechen? Wie hoch können die Ticketpreise noch werden? Wie ist es um Geschlechtergerechtigkeit, Awareness und Barrierefreiheit bestellt? Wie wichtig sind Festivals für kulturelle Vielfalt? On April 3, 2024 at 7:58am (in Taiwan) an earthquake that's been reported as measuring 7.2 and 7.4 hit Hualien which is located on Taiwan's east coast. The last major earthquake of similar magnitude was 25 years ago on September 21st, 1999 in Nantou, which is located in central Taiwan. The earthquake also referred to as the 921 earthquake killed over 2,400 people, and left over 100,000 people homeless. Schee, who I interviewed about civil defense in Taiwan. In that interview T.H. mentioned that it was his firsthand experience with the 921 earthquake that made him concerned about disaster preparedness and civil defense. I asked T.H. to share his recollection of the 921 earthquake and thoughts on how Taiwan's disaster response has improved since then. Recherchen der HAZ zeigen inzwischen, dass der mutmaßliche Schütze speziell ausgebildet wurde. Der Soldat war Scharfschütze bei den Fallschirmjägern in Niedersachsen. HAZ-Reporter Marco Seng hat für uns an den Tatorten recherchiert, und Reporter Peer Hellerling Hintergründe zu einer Gefährderansprache wenige Tage vor der Tat zusammengetragen. On January 25th we held the second in-person event during the Talking Taiwan Election Tour at the PicCollage office in Taipei thanks to John Fan, who was a guest on episode 179 of Taking Taiwan. She coordinates the Bernard-Massard Wine Academy, a WSET APP affiliated with Luxembourg's largest private winery (Bernard-Massard), where she teaches WSET classes and Masterclasses. As Jess is an Italian Wine Ambassador for Vinitaly International, she helps source Italian wines for Bernard-Massard's portfolio of international wines and judged the 5StarWines competition in 2023. She is also a Valpolicella Wine Specialist and a French Wine Scholar (FWS) with the Wine Scholar Guild – a Top Scorer in 2020 – one of the few people to score 100% on the FWS exam. Prior to working in wine Jess was a corporate M&A lawyer and worked in London, Shanghai and Zurich. Guest Bio - Luca Collia and Andrea Graneris Luca Collia, 40 years old, born and raised in Calabria (Southern Italy) in front of Sicily. Since 18 yo Luca has traveled around the World studying, working and exploring different cultures. In part two of our interview with T.H. Schee we talked about what concerns in particular that Taiwan should have about AI, ChatGPT and Baidu's chatbot Ernie.   ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI in partnership with Microsoft, which is its largest investor. It was released in November of 2022. It can mimic human conversation, and do a whole range of things from drafting email to writing essays, taking tests and writing and debugging computer programs.   On February 7th Chinese company Baidu announced it would be creating a Chinese language ChatGPT, Ernie Bot. A week later, Taiwan's Science and Technology Minister, Wu Tseng-tsong announced that Taiwan will be developing its own Chinese language chatbot due to fears of bias that could be created by China's chatbot.   And on March 16th the Ernie Bot was publicly unveiled.   T.H. Schee is a digital veteran with twenty years of experience in the private and NGO sectors. He was a founding member of the Taiwan Internet Governance Forum and provided his expertise on digital crisis response to the UN Global Geospatial Information Management group. Last year I spoke with T.H. Schee about Taiwan's civil defense preparedness in episode 178. This was a hot topic of discussion in Taiwan after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February of 2023. It made the military threat that the people of Taiwan face from the People's Republic of China very real. A year has passed since Russia's invasion and I wanted to bring T.H. back for a follow up conversation about this and how the government and people of Taiwan have adjusted and continue to deal with the situation there. We also touched upon some recent news stories in Taiwan that are related to the topic of internet security. A note from Talking Taiwan host Felicia Lin:   Russia's invasion of Ukraine has put the reality of war on display for the world, especially for Taiwan, which like Ukraine, has been under the constant threat of military aggression of an unfriendly neighbor. Because of the war that's been happening in Ukraine there's been talk of how Taiwan must improve its military defense capabilities and preparedness, but beyond this, there are people in Taiwan wondering what they themselves can do to be prepared, should Taiwan come under attack.   My guest on this episode of Talking Taiwan, T.H.
