Monday (3rd) Governor DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis announced $30 million in grants to four Florida children's hospitals, to improve research and care for pediatric cancer patients in the state. One goal is to make sure children and families don't need to leave the state to access care. Targets include encouraging collaboration among researchers and creating a portal to help parents navigate clinical trials. We speak with Dr. Cassandra Josephson, the Hawkins Family Endowed Chair director of the Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. Joel unleashes the layoff bloodbath: Amazon axes 14K corporate jobs for automation, Target cuts 1.8K amid sales slumps, GM drops 3K+, Rivian 600, UPS a brutal 48K. Military.com? DOA via Valnet. Chad blames UPS pain on automation, ditching Amazon volume, and shrinking wallets; ties GM to the EV tax-credit cliff—“Trump economy killer!” Joel says companies hate chaos, froze post-election, now tariffs (⅓ each: importer, company, consumer) drip inflation, crushing spending and jobs. Amazon's BlueJay bots are coming for warehouses. Emi (Europe) confirms global instability fuels automation through '27; Target may need holiday humans, but HQ already slashed layers. Mercor—those zygote founders roasted for bias-free matching—pivots to AI-model eval, grabs $350M Series C at $10B. 30K experts at $85/hr tell OpenAI why outputs rock or rot. Chad salutes the “picks-and-shovels” genius; Joel dubs it the mother of pivots. AuditBoard scoops FairNow for AI-governance; Chad smells PE acqui-hire for HG's $180B empire, Joel's skeptical—flat headcount, no terms, RecFest whispers “smoke.” Emi loves Mercor's 500M ARR path, reserves FairNow judgment. iCIMS wakes up: AI Sourcing Agent, turnkey I-9/E-Verify (backgrounds/assessments next), Apply Network adds LinkedIn/Veritone. Chad groans—5 yrs post-Opening.io, 3 post-Candidate.ID, rebranding old tech as “agents” in me-too panic. Joel sees ATS arms race: bundle sourcing/SEO or lose to SmartRecruiter clones. Emi hopes CTO Deepak Pandya saves the day; Chad/Joel want retention—“We've got agents too!” H-1B mess: White House defends $100K fee vs. Chamber lawsuits over fraud/wage suppression. DeSantis bans H-1Bs at FL universities (13.6% biz faculty gone), citing Chinese nationals teaching U.S. policy. Chad recalls 2020 Chamber suit—immigrants power innovation/supply chains. BC runs Reagan ads during NHL, fast-tracks Trump-weary U.S. nurses: 1.4K+ apps, 113 registered, 100+ hired. Joel predicts Canada-wide poach; Emi: fee won't spawn American nurses. Bold (Monster/CB owners) drops 2007 cringe-video: wrinkled CEO, Trumpasaurus, resume subs, predatory paid services. Chad gags at “ick,” slams Jeff Taylor for cheering a flaming brand. Joel: ChatGPT could do better; Emi: euthanize the dead horse—trust gone. Trio signs off with Joel the Chicken & Agent Chad pitching iCIMS mascot gigs. The top voices on the so-called Right continue to distract us with fake conspiracies under the guise of "just asking questions." They do this because it generates controversy and a strong following. However, what we really need is a movement built around providing answers to the vexing questions on the critical issues of our time — fiscal, social, demographic. I show an example of what such articulation looks like with Gov. DeSantis announcing a ban on H-1B visas at Florida universities. We could easily appeal to even moderates with a message on crime and data centers that few Republicans are offering. The other two big issues that are going to lose us the country and the election are inflation and the courts. We need more statemen to deal with these issues, not TikTokers. Josh Sigurdson reports on the news of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis attacking the agenda to purposely engineer meat allergies in order to "save the planet" as shills and bioethicists from the World Economic Forum and WHO call for mandates. People like Matthew Liao have been calling for this agenda to be rolled out for years which DeSantis calls insane. However, there is a real world risk of this under a digital food ration system. Recent papers by Western Michigan University have called for this life threatening biowarfare. This is happening as we see 73 year record cattle shortages and the introduction of new imports of beef from Argentina. This is happening as food rations are approved under emergency orders. This is happening as governments and scientific organizations calls for mRNA meat on grocery shelves which is already a thing with pork going back to 2018. Also, traces have been found in other foods. This is happening as Flagship Pioneering alongside Moderna is introducing mRNA pesticides to spray crops. This is happening as scientists in Australia and New Zealand use genetic engineering and "viruses" to make rodents infertile for "pest control." The overall agenda is clearly to make humans infertile without them even knowing it which they're alreading doing. Meanwhile, Texas is suing the Tylenol makers for omitting evidence tying Tylenol to autism, though this is also avoiding the obvious elephant in the room... Vaccines. We are being poisoned like bugs. From fluoride to vaccines. From aerosols to glyphosate. From processed foods to medications. From plastics to purposely tainted meat. The agenda is clear. Ron DeSantis spent between $35 million and $40 million of taxpayer money last fall during an unprecedented advertising campaign against citizen-led amendments that would have enshrined abortion rights and marijuana freedom in the state constitution. The estimate is based on hundreds of pages of emails, invoices, transaction logs and other documents obtained by Seeking Rents through a series of public records requests. The records also reveal ways in which the governor and his aides bent rules and blurred lines during their publicly funded campaign against a pair of ballot measures supported by millions of Floridians — from paying political strategists on hidden subcontracts to making rushed payments under misleading pretenses.Show notesHidden consultants and hurried payments: Records reveal details of DeSantis' campaign against abortion and marijuana amendmentsQuestions or comments? In early September, during a joint press conference with Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida's Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo publicly announced the decision to eliminate all state vaccine mandates—including those required for schools. In this episode, Dr. Ladapo explains the decision, how it will take shape, and his response to critics of the announcement who say there will be increased outbreaks of infectious disease.“It's just not appropriate for someone else to be able to dictate or force you to put something into your body.… If you own anything, you do own your body, just as you own your free will,” he says.Florida's Department of Health is removing all its current mandates, but a complete removal of all vaccine requirements from state law will require legislative action. Dr. Ladapo says he's confident it will be passed. We also dive into his concern that many pediatricians can refuse to treat children on the basis of the child's vaccination status: “To be kicked out of pediatrician practices for that reason, it's just wrong,” he says. He's working with Governor DeSantis on what he calls a “patient's bill of rights.”Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and the guest, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.
