My Hebrew Calendar says that today is the 2nd day of the Feast of Weeks, so I am posting the Feast of Weeks Episode again for today. If you are blessed by today's Bible study, please support my channel by liking, subscribing, commenting, and sharing with your friends and family! I am not a Pastor, and agree with God's word that women are not supposed to be Pastors. However, all people are called to share the gospel. It is perfectly acceptable and Biblical for women to lead Bibles studies outside the church as an ancillary addition to the church, and especially if it is a viable avenue for study of the Word on a daily basis, like I'm doing on this show, and paving the way for all of us to be closer to the Lord and become more knowledgeable of the Bible. If you care to contribute to my work with the Daily Bible study and sharing the Gospel, as part of your tithes and offerings, you can do so through PayPal by sending it to my PayPal address of: ReneHoladay@gmail.com Thank you for watching and God Bless you all! ;() --------------------- The primary study bible that Rene' uses is the 'Spirit-filled Life Bible, by Jack Hayford, and is available in hard cover or faux leather on Amazon at: https://amzn.to/434fBnQ You can watch this episode on Youtube at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v9ekffu7ds Please be sure to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT, and SHARE!
In this episode, Brian Brodersen joins us to share insights from decades of pastoral ministry, biblical exposition, and spiritual discernment. Now serving as pastor emeritus of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, Brian reflects on his transition out of the lead pastor role, and his current ministry leading a Sunday night Bible study through the New Testament - currently in the Book of Acts. This intentional, accessible overview of the New Testament continues to build up believers and equip the next generation with solid biblical foundations. The heart of our conversation focuses on the nation of Israel, biblical prophecy, and current events. Drawing from a dispensational framework without lapsing into speculation, Brian offers careful guidance for preachers navigating one of the most charged and misunderstood topics in Christian ministry today. Whether you're teaching through Ezekiel 38–39, responding to the news cycle, or wondering how to speak about Jerusalem from the pulpit, this episode will offer clarity, conviction, and a call to faithfulness. In the final section, Brian turns our attention to the spiritual realities behind gospel ministry. Drawing on themes from his book The Powers of Darkness & the People of God, he reminds us that the preacher is always a target for satanic opposition. This sobering yet hope-filled word will encourage pastors and Bible teachers to persevere in the face of unseen resistance.Guest Bio – Brian Brodersen:Brian Brodersen is pastor emeritus of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, where he served as senior pastor from 1993 to 2023. He is also president of the Calvary Global Network, chancellor of Calvary Chapel Bible College, and co-founder/director of Creation Fest UK. Brian is the featured speaker on the Back to Basics radio programme and a regular voice on the live call-in show Pastors' Perspective. He holds an M.A. in Ministry and Leadership from Wheaton College.Resources Mentioned: The Powers of Darkness & the People of God by Brian Brodersen“We live in a world influenced by powerful, malignant spirit beings. Rev. Trudy and Rev. Brittany are back in the video studio to wrap up multi-episode discussion on “Hope for Planet Earth” – this time focusing on the need to act by asking “how can we help?” It’s a multi-faceted conversation that brings in all aspects of the Holy Trinity as it relates to creation care and action. They start by focusing on creation itself, looking to Psalm 19:1-4a where it describes creation speaking and hearing God’s word. Then they move to Mark 16:19-20 and Jesus’ Ascension to talk about His ministry and what the disciples were called to do after he leaves earth. They then wrap up by discussing the Holy Spirit, who comes alongside us with prompting to act. But that prompting to act is easier said than done. We want to do everything all at once – ignoring nature’s beautiful examples of how to build boundaries – which leaves us paralyzed and unable to act. So, how do we overcome that fear? There is so much to explore in these two scriptures. You can keep the conversation going by joining our weekly in-person Convergence discussion group or heading over to our Patreon channel to discuss the following questions with others: Where are you reluctant to go with the gospel you know? How much of the gospel you know impacts creation? What would you rather talk about than do? Or do than talk about? Our Patreon community is open to all – no matter where you align in your spiritual beliefs. It’s free to join and connect over the weekly episode questions. There are also two additional membership levels that allow you to unlock additional content. Check it out at https://www.patreon.com/fumcsd!
