Welcome back to "Parenting the Intensity!"In this episode, we explored the concept of giving up and how it doesn't necessarily mean leaving our children behind forever. Here are three key takeaways from today's discussion:1️⃣ It's Normal to Feel Overwhelmed: Parenting emotionally intense kids is hard, and it's completely normal to feel like giving up at times. It doesn't mean that you love your children any less or that you're not a good parent. It's a sign that you deeply care about their well-being and are trying your best.2️⃣ Resilience Over Strength: People may commend us for our strength, but in reality, it's more about resilience. We keep pushing forward, overcoming challenges, and tackling each obstacle with determination. We don't have the luxury of giving up, so we find the strength within ourselves to keep going.3️⃣ Taking a break Is Okay: Giving up temporarily doesn't make us bad parents. It's essential to recognize when we need a break and allow ourselves to step back, recharge, and regroup. Whether it's a weekend getaway or delegating certain responsibilities, taking care of ourselves ultimately enables us to be better parents in the long run.Remember, you are already doing so much! Take a moment to reflect on everything you're managing and give yourself credit for the strength and resilience you demonstrate every day. And don't forget that it's okay to take a break when needed. Keep showing up for your exceptional children, and together, we'll navigate this intense parenting journey."We will all be there at some point, and that's normal too because we don't always havethe energy to fight and to work hard and to learn new things and to apply those things, it's very hard."Show notes and transcript of the episode over hereMake sure to subscribe to our podcast for future episodes and leave a rating and review, that helps us get in front of more parents. Don't forget to check out the resources mentioned on our website at www.parentingtheintensity.caJoin the "Parenting the Intensity Community" to find the right things that works for YOUR child and adapt them to YOUR reality. To be able to enjoy your life and kids, not always being afraid of the next outburstTake a deep breath, keep going, we're all in this together!Music by Oleksii Kaplunskyi from Pixabay

And they did allow for men to become women only after a year of deciding that they wanted to switch.”In this episode, we sit down with Paula Scanlan, a former University of Pennsylvania swimmer and teammate of transgender swimmer Lia Thomas.“They brought in psychological counseling, advising us to make an appointment with them if we were uncomfortable with the situation. And they did say very clearly, Lia swimming is a non-negotiable. … Psychological counseling was scary because, in my mind, that's almost equivalent to reeducation. That really showed me that they wanted us to think differently, not just help us be comfortable with the situation that we were in,” Ms. Scanlan says. Now, Ms. Scanlan is an outspoken advocate for banning biological men from women's sports.

Emotions are indicators. If we see the red on a battery, we don't shame our computers. We see it as something we have to take care of for optimal performance. Imagine if we gave these human vessels…that same grace to say my emotions are indicators, not inconveniences. They let us know that if you want me to operate optimally, you need to acknowledge that I feel this….We need to ask ourselves, “What do I need in order to be well?” ~ Shannon Cohen How often have you warned yourself to control your emotions? Though we are inherently emotional beings, people often see emotions as detrimental–at least to success.  Shannon Cohen, speaker, author and business owner, encourages “using a head+heart approach” to success, productivity and everyday life. She reminds us that emotions are indicators of our overall health–not to be ignored. Given life's everyday challenges, and especially the difficulties of the last several years, it's easy to see how our emotions could get the better of us. Yet, if we recognize our emotions as a tool to determine what we need, both physically and mentally, we can better define what is in our control and come up with an action step–a Brilliantly Resilient strategy for sure. Tune into this episode of the Brilliantly Resilient podcast to hear more of Shannon's wisdom and check out her book, It's Normal to Shake as You Soar. Be sure to listen for these additional bits of Brilliance: Turbulence is part of the process of take-off and greatness. Building is messy. We need to find the wisdom and the gratitude in the messiness.  When we ask people “How are you?” it's a battery check. It's an indicator check. The next question we need to ask ourselves is “What do I need in order to be well,” because often the problem and the solution lie within the same place. Disengagement has always been one of the biggest corporate challenges. Covid took the lid off this and we could no longer be the manicured culture we were. We were glamorizing going back when “back” wasn't so great. Let's be Brilliantly Resilient together! Mary Fran & Kristin

Oftentimes women confide to me that they feel angrier at the other woman than they do their cheating spouse. They say that even though it was their partner who broke their wedding vow, they have more rage against the other woman than they do their spouse, and they don't understand why. This show explains why this very common phenomenon happens, and helps you to deal with it so going forward you can have peace and trust other women again. Top Take-A-Ways: Why the innocent spouse, who is still operating in “partnership mode,” will naturally defend her partner against threats and may be more upset at the other woman than she is at her partner. How learning about the affair partner triggers a woman's insecurities, reopens old wounds, and sends her into a comparison game that she perceives as being against the other woman instead of against her partner. As a doctor experiencing the same frustrations as her patients, she woke up to the fact that the medicine she was prescribing was not solving anything. Dr. Kyrin explains the real need for women to begin testing their hormones from their teenage years and every year after that. These afflictions that the medical community have brushed off as normal symptoms for women are actually signs of disastrous hormonal imbalance.. You should not be experiencing cramps or P.M.S and menopause does not rob you of your vitality; all these are side effects of hormonal imbalance. Dr. Kyrin offers assistance through “The Hormone Club” and today shares her insight into how you can begin taking control of your hormonal health.   Key Takeaways: Feeling disillusioned: Over medicated with no solutions [3:00] The fear of being told “It's Normal” [6:10] This isn't normal! Not all women in their 40's are overweight  and lacking energy [8:20] Mainstream Healthcare is not aware of what it does not know [10:50] The hormone club:  [13:00]  Programmed obsolescence [17:17] Stop the menopause madness [21:10] Lean into the questions [25:50]   Resources: https://www.herhormoneclub.com/home-page-essential https://www.stopthemenopausemadness.com IG: @Kyrinduntonmd   Memorable Quotes: “Conventional medicine still failed us! It was because we dig deeper into our own  personal health and learned a little bit more, took the time, energy and effort to get trained in a world that is completely different then what we have  been  accustomed to and say; There is another way! We can not only  heal ourself but help other people.”  [10:18] Dr. Bindya Ghandi “Weight and metabolism , it's not a math problem. Most people think it's a math problem because when your hormones are balanced, it is a math problem. Calories in minus calories out. When your hormones are not balanced, and they go offline, like happens to women in their 40's, it's not a math problem anymore it's a communication problem.”  [18:23] - Dr.Kyrin Dunston   Visit our store below: https://reviveatlmd.mindsharecommerce.com/ Code: First10 for 10% off Rejuvenate your Metabolism and Weight Loss Bundle Weight Loss Support Packets   Adrenal Complex™ 120 capsules Metal-x-Synergy 90 Vegetarian capsules These packets are designed to assist the body in using fat for fuel and to help support healthy insulin, cortisol, and energy metabolism. Do you want to scale your agency but fear growing too fast? Today's guest was part of the exponential growth of a big-name agency and never thought he want to work in the agency business as a result. However, he took the lessons learned from that experience and grew his own agency making sure to work on what he loves and build a team around what he doesn't. Hernan Vazquez is the co-founder of Scale Driven, a digital agency that helps clients develop high-level marketing strategies that generate revenue at scale. He was part of the success of Frank Kern's agency and its eventual failure when they grew too much, too fast. . He later took those lessons to start implementing the benefits of developing your own brand to grow your agency faster. In this episode, we'll discuss: Why you should do what you like and hire for what you don't. Why it's normal to question owning an agency. Lesson learned from fast, exponential growth. Subscribe Apple | Spotify | iHeart Radio | Stitcher | Radio FM Hernan has been in the digital agency business for the past 14 years. Throughout his career, he always did media buying, SEO, and paid media work for a few clients. He was also the marketing director on the client side for several brands. At one point, when he was feeling burned out from all the work, Hernan sat down and wrote out the amount of time spent on each job, the revenue per hour it brought him, and the fulfillment he got from each. In the end, agency work was the most profitable and fulfilling. So he decided to go all-in and the agency went from being an afterthought to being his sole focus. Do What You Like and Build a Team Around What You Don't Hernan has built several teams for agencies and he has always been involved in every aspect, from operations to marketing. However, those experiences have helped him realize he does not enjoy the operations portion of the business as much. If he were to start over, he would hire leaders faster. Oftentimes, agency owners are a bit cautious when it comes to starting to fill roles in the agency. This is commonly out of fear they won't sustain the business enough to make payroll. This was certainly the case for Hernan, but now he realizes there are creative ways to compensate and motivate employees independent of revenue and cash flow. For instance, he later hired someone in charge of recruiting and developing new talent. He offered that person a percentage of revenue and they accepted. He is now building a sales team and the sales director was offered a similar deal. As he has learned, you don't necessarily need cash flow to afford those salaries; you just need the right people who share your vision and can maintain mutual trust for building the agency. Hiring people who excel in areas where you don't allow you more time to focus on the things you truly enjoy. Being self-aware of what you like and are good at is the key to knowing what pieces you can delegate, eliminate or hire for. It's Normal to Question Owning an Agency Agency owners can get to a point where they are working on things they don't like and feel exhausted. Many feel like prisoners to the agency they've built and this is typically when they start looking for a way out. For Hernan, he was working as Frank Kern's main ad guy and then transitioned into the role of CMO. He ran ads for 30+ clients and also did some coaching for Frank's students. When the agency started to grow, he also had to hire media buyers and train them. However, when Frank partnered with Grant Cardone and the agency saw exponential growth, going from 30+ clients to 220+ clients in eight months was a huge adjustment. The team went from a handful of people to a staff of more than 60. They were also getting a lot of different types of clients, which is not what they were used to. The problem with explosive growth was, that although the revenue and demand were there and they were hiring people to keep up with the demand, they just couldn't catch up to the demand operationally. Hernan was stuck hiring and training a lot more media buyers and handling the ads for many more clients while also running the marketing for his own agency. He understandably ended up burned out and wanting an exit from the agency world. Lessons Learned From Fast, Exponential Growth After a year of feeling burnt out, Hernan observed other agency owners who really enjoyed the work. “What are they doing differently?” he thought. The difference was they were operating in their area of expertise. Hernan is a marketing guy who really enjoyed that aspect of the business but got stuck deep in operations. That's why he no longer enjoyed the work. He thought if he could just rebuild that concept of the agency on his own terms and without compromising on the things that he didn't like to do, it would work. One of the things he learned was it's not about having an endless supply of clients but about having the right clients. They were at one point taking anyone and everyone and servicing all types of companies from webinar funnels to car dealerships. He knows now, it's better to grow slow, find what you're best at and be an expert in one area. If you build a system, it will get you enough potential clients so that you can pick and choose, you'd guarantee that You'll only do the work that you can deliver on. You can charge the right amount. It won't take too much time. Some agency owners fixate on building a big agency they're willing to sacrifice anything for it. They'll end up 60  years old,  realizing life passed them by and they didn't enjoy it. The Importance of Creating a Personal Brand For agency owners, creating your own brand is as important as growing your agency's brand. It is the best way to turn on the faucet and bring in the people you need. Of course, the goal isn't bringing in more clients than your team can handle but rather being able to pick and choose the clients you want to work with. Hernan and his team have been working on rebuilding his personal brand. After being on both sides of the equation, he sees having benefit of hiring for a role that puts a lot of value and brings in clients. Now he's starting to apply this and it is impacting the business on many levels. As expected, they get a lot more people wanting to work with them, but they are also very motivated from the start and they stay longer. His message for agency owners is doubling down on content and putting advertising dollars behind that content for your ideal demographic. This is the #1 strategy that has a long-lasting impact on your business. For the 3 Golden Rules on Scaling and more on scaling your agency, click here to be redirected to Hernan's page. Sunday, May 29, 2022 - When it comes to our Sunday offering, what is “normal” giving? Normal giving is what we are able to do just in our normal everyday lives. It doesn't involve any real sacrifice or reliance on God to make it happen. Biblically, we would say that normal giving begins with tithing. Since tithing is the moral positioning of our material lives in front of God. Tithing is when we allow God to lead us at the most basic material level – how we live. So, because full devotion to Jesus Christ is normal, tithing is actually normal giving. But even in our tithing, as we see, God promises to bless us beyond measure. God is not promising to make anyone rich if they tithe. But He is promising that when we live obediently in our material lives, God will bless us beyond our ability to contain it. And you will be able to tell how He is blessing you.

welcome back to Lies About Sex with cat from UNGIRL. And the lie of today's episode is that sex is always spontaneous and that if you're not feeling, you know, horny anymore in your relationship it it must mean something's wrong. Well, I'm sure I have felt this. I'm sure pretty much everyone in relationship has felt this, particularly men because men have this pressure to be sexually driven much more. But the reality is when you're with somebody in the initial stage of a relationship, your body and your hormones are different. Your bodies are telling you both to have sex with each other. They want you to get together. They want you to probably have a baby. Sex is also a way for both of you to communicate that you have an attraction towards each other because we use sex as validation. When you've been together for longer, your body actually changes. Those hormones drop and things like bonding hormones like oxytocin actually increase, so your body has a different set of priorities Now it's not saying Hey, fuck each other and have as many babies as possible. It's saying, Why don't you build a home together. Why don't you bring some security to the relationship? So it doesn't mean that you don't have sex or that you don't have any sexual drive anymore. But it means that you have to be proactive about it. So if you've only been in short term relationships where you've always been, you know, horny, it actually feels totally different to have to be actively trying to put yourself in the mood. But join me, that my next episode because this is a big topic. And I've got I've got some tips to make you have better and more fulfilling sex!Check out the replies and reactions on Beams.fm

Imagine having a marketing coach, consultant and accountability partner all wrapped up in one podcast. That's exactly what you get when you listen to the Marketing Hotline with Kelsey Reidl and her guests as they discuss topics such as how to stand out on Social Media, how to attract your ideal clients, growing an Email List, and anything else related to Marketing and Growth! This week on the Marketing Hotline, I'm sitting down with Jesse Cole, who is the founder of Fans First Entertainment, the creator of The Savannah Bananas and the author of Find Your Yellow Tux. His teams have welcomed more than one million fans to their ballparks and have been featured on MSNBC, CNN, ESPN and in Entrepreneur Magazine, but it wasn't always sunshine & bananas in Jesse's world. Just over 5 years ago he and his wife Emily were sleeping on an air mattress after draining their bank account, about to take the biggest risk of their life. You'll need to tune in to hear about it! I first was introduced to Jesse and his epic story through the I Love Marketing Podcast, and I can honestly say that from the moment he started talking I was hooked. He's a marketing genius! Jesse's approach to building a BRAND rather than a business and creating FANS not customers is the type of marketing that I stand behind 110%. He's not preaching expensive facebook ads or fancy funnels, just an epic product and a memorable experience. Jesse is about to share SO much wisdom with you all and I can promise you that whether you're running a baseball team like Jesse or just starting a little home based business - his marketing tips are going to ROCK YOUR WORLD. If you want to grab a copy of Jesse's Book, it's called Find Your Yellow Tux: How to Be Successful by Standing Out. Jesse ALSO hosts his own podcast, called Business Done Differently. Joseph Holmes is the author of 45 books including his best seller Loving Yourself Wealthy: the Power of Angels, Volume 3. Joseph is just a humble messenger hoping to help and inspire others on their life journeys. He is a modern-day Irish/American mystic and troubadour, writer and poet with an inspirational story of his healing from trauma and PTSD through the grace of his guardian angels Mary Magdalene and Mary of Galilee (lovingly referred to as “M & M”). His healing journey began when he was 7 years old and took on a rapid acceleration in the 1990s with physical visitations from M & M. Then, on an early December morning in 2012 Mary Magdalene began transmitting her spiritual quatrain poetry through Joseph and today (2020) they have thousands of her poems available to help people create lives full of meaning, significance, love, joy and success. Joseph has taught and spoken to hundreds of individuals and groups over the past 40 years. Mary Magdalene has asked him to begin sharing her message with the world. In this episode, Joseph talks in detail with his experiences with both Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene. He expresses the importance of getting out of your mind and into your heart and that love is the only thing that is real. Once you go into your heart, you will recognize your gifts and then you can share those gifts with the world. The 3 things I learned from this episode is 1) angels show up because your receptive to it 2) ego means Edging God Out and 3) when you follow your heart, it's natural for doubts and fears to show up. I'm living my dream in Madrid. But at the same time I'm confused and lost while still happy and fulfilled. Is it normal to feel all these emotions at the same time? I guess yes? All our feelings are valid, the positive and the negative, and it's crucial to feel these emotions for our growth and progress. There will be days when you think you know what you're doing, then one day you wake up, and you just ruined a relationship and lost opportunities you worked on so hard on. Is this life trying to teach us something? I guess yes. Why did so much things not work out and how did I end up where I am right now? I don't have the answers yet, but my journey itself in Spain will tell why I am here and what purpose this will serve in my life. Have you ever done something and looked back and said "That's not like me!" How does that happen? What do we do then? How can we use this information to manage ourselves and our relationships better? In this episode we talk about the Jungian concept of complexes, and how they can come up and run the show for a while. For reference, here are couple of powerful quotes from Jung on his model of psychological complexes: "Complexes interfere with the intentions of the will and disturb the conscious performance; they produce disturbances of memory and blockages in the flow of associations; they appear and disappear according to their own laws; they can temporarily obsess consciousness, or influence speech and action in an unconscious way. In a word, complexes behave like independent beings. from Jung, C. G., Psychological Factors in Human Behaviour, Collected Works vol 8, par. 253. "Complexes are focal or nodal points of psychic life which we would not wish to do without; indeed, they should not be missing, for otherwise psychic activity would come to a fatal standstill."Jung, C.G., A Psychological Theory of Types, Collected Works. vol. 6, par. 925. On this episode, our guest is Paul Griffin, Legal Director at Child Justice, Inc., one of the few organizations in the country dedicated to ensuring a child's right to be legally protected from an abusive parent.  As Legal Director, Paul – along with his colleague, Alexandra Sandacz -- represents non-abusive, protective parents in child-custody cases in which there is evidence of domestic violence or child abuse. Paul also works to coordinate the pro bono legal work that well-respected law firms offer to protect these victims who may otherwise become “lost in the system” after exposure to family violence, physical and or sexual abuse, substance addictions, or neglect. On today's show, Paul will be speaking to us about his work at Child Justice as well as his other advocacy work on behalf of abused children and share insights from both cautionary and success tales, strategies and recommendations for how we can strengthen our laws and update our practices to ensure that children's safety is a priority over abusers' parenting rights. During our conversation, Paul and I referenced the following links and articles: The "It's Normal to be Normal" child sexual abuse study The book, The Sociopath Next Door The book, The Witch-Hunt Narrative: Politics, Psychology, and the Sexual Abuse of Children  The passing of House Congressional Resolution 72 which places child safety as a priority in child custody cases The Holt v. Holt case in Maryland where the abusive Air Force Colonel father won custody over the children and ignored evidence of abuse An illustration of Child Justice's phrase: "It's Worse to Accuse than it is to Abuse" in the Holt case:  Failure To Protect: Air Force Handling Of Colonel's Child Sex Assault Charges Raises Questions The Nicholas Bala study that shows that the rate of father's reporting false abuse is 16x higher than mothers Joan Meier's (of DV LEAP) research on how courts view allegations of domestic abuse, child abuse or child sexual abuse The use of "junk science" or "Parental Alienation" theories by abusers as a defense against allegations of domestic violence or child abuse Resources that address how "Parental Alienation" is used to discredit allegations of abuse in custody cases The use of the Frye/Daubert standards to challenge the admissibility of "parental alienation" in courts as an attack against abuse allegations Dr. Daniel Saunders' DOJ report on Child Custody Evaluators' Beliefs About Domestic Abuse Allegations: Their Relationship to Evaluator Demographics, Background, Domestic Violence Knowledge and Custody Visitation Recommendations Deborah Epstein's research on how judges misunderstood survivors in court in her paper:  "Discounting Credibility: Doubting the Testimony and Dismissing the Experiences of Domestic Violence Survivors and Other Women" --- Thanks for tuning in to the en(gender)ed podcast!
