Przygotowania do kampanii prezydenckiej, sytuacja w Lewicy i historia Pauliny Matysiak, Polska po powodzi i awantura o alkotubki - to najważniejsze tematy kolejnego odcinka podcastu "Polityczne Michałki". PiS jest coraz bliżej decyzji prezydenckiej. W grze są praktycznie cztery dobrze znane nazwiska. To Karol Nawrocki, Tobiasz Bocheński, Zbigniew Bogucki, Marcin Przydacz. Posłance z Kutna grozi wyrzucenie z klubu Lewicy i z partii Razem.

Prezes Narodowego Banku Polskiego Adam Glapiński rozesłał po świecie listy z prośbą, żeby międzynarodowe instytucje wzięły go w obronę na wypadek, gdyby nowa koalicja chciała postawić go przed Trybunałem Stanu. To byłby dopiero przełom kopernikański! Zeszłoroczne zarobki szefa partii to około 300 tys. zł, a zobowiązania to 84 tys. zł.

What’s the likelihood of someone being born on a futon in a commune going on to walk across Antarctica (and live to tell about it)? Like… a gazillion to one. Well, Erik Huberman had the pleasure of talking to the one and only Colin O’Brady. The 35-year-old has already accomplished more than most of us even dream about doing: summiting Mt. Everest, winning a triathlon, writing a New York Times bestseller (The Impossible First). In this episode, Colin and Erik chat about… The importance of having a supportive figure in your life How to take the first step towards a big goal Why it’s important for kids to see exciting, real-life applications of STEM methods Why you should be asking, “Why not me?” For more interviews like this one, subscribe to HawkeTalk on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts!

"The idea of impossibility and possibility is entirely self-determined. And, it is our personal responsibilities to identify the potential sticking points and reframe them as growth points. We have to commit the effort, the time, and the energy to venture into the unknown. That is the most effective way to conquer your own impossible first." Welcome back to another episode of Discover More.  This week, we have another episode of Discover More Books, where we’ll be reviewing and discussing the book, “The Impossible First” by Colin O'Brady. The Impossible First tells the story of how Colin O’Brady became the first person to cross the landmass of Antarctica, completely unassisted and unsupported. The expedition spanned 54 days, with absolutely zero companionship or supply drop offs. This required pulling a 375 pound sled for 932 miles through temperatures as low as -112 degrees Fahrenheit. While the journey itself is powerful & inspiring, we believe the true value of this book lies in the lessons, mindsets, and approaches to life that Colin shares throughout his journey. When he was visiting Thailand at age 22, he severely burned his legs during a flaming jump rope accident. He was told he would never walk again, shattering his identity as a high-level endurance athlete. However, instead of focusing on the negative, his optimistic mother challenged him to set a goal and take the first step during recovery. Colin set a goal of running a triathlon, a seemingly impossible goal for someone in his position. Through his patience, visualization, and hard work, Colin went on to not just complete, but win the Chicago triathlon, just two years later. This story illustrates the very ethos of the Impossible First, that anything is possible if we remove the limits we put on ourselves. He believes that we are the stories we tell ourselves, and by re-writing these narratives, everyone has the power to change what is possible. We highly recommend reading this book, not just for the entertaining story, but also for the profound and inspiring lessons that O’Brady shares. We’d really appreciate it if you could leave us a rating and review on Apple Podcasts, as it really helps the podcast grow. We hope you enjoy this episode of Discover More Books. Thank you.

The growth that happens within adversity can ultimately lead us to really positive outcomes in the long run. If we understand and learn how to harness it. Colin O’Brady learned this lesson first hand after a tragic accident that landed him in the hospital compelling his mother to flee to his side, which happened to be at a hospital in Thailand. Her consistent positivity during Colin’s healing process set Colin on his way to the life-changing mind-shift that ultimately lead to his record-breaking, adventure seeking achievements. About The Guest:Colin O’Brady is an American professional endurance athlete, motivational speaker and adventurer. He is a former professional triathlete, representing the United States on the ITU Triathlon World Cup circuit, racing in 25 countries on six continents from 2009–2015.O'Brady is a four-time world record holder. “My mantra is: you're strong, you're capable.”Colin O'BradyIf you ask this week's guest what drives his success as a multiple world record breaking adventure athlete, his answer just might surprise you. It's not grit. It's not talent, perseverance or focus. Instead, it's infinite love.Returning for his fourth appearance on the podcast, Colin O'Brady is here to elaborate.Longtime listeners are well acquainted with Colin's story from burn victim to boundary eclipsing adventurer. Even if you're new to the podcast, chances are stumbled across his story by way of his appearances everywhere, from the Today show to the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. For the unfamiliar few, Colin is a former Yale swimmer turned professional triathlete enjoying a third act as an elite adventure athlete with 5 breathtaking world records to his name.Notable among his many palmarès, Colin is both the youngest and fastest human to complete The Explorers Grand Slam — a challenge of exceptional prestige that encompasses scaling the highest mountain on each of the seven continents and treks to both the North and South Poles. Not only did he demolish the previous record by an astonishing 53-day margin, along the way he simultaneously broke the 7 Summits world record by two days.Last year, Colin became the first person in history to cross the continent of Antarctica solo, unsupported and unaided. Under nothing but his own power, Colin pulled a 300-pound sled 932 miles in just 54 days across the coldest, windiest, most remote continent on earth from the Atlantic to the Pacific via the South Pole. It's a jaw-dropping feat of athletic prowess, stunning endurance and sheer human will that captivated millions and made headlines across the world. Then, just last month, Colin and five crewmates successfully completed the first and only human-powered ocean row across the Drake Passage — a treacherous 13-day, 600 nautical mile excursion from the southern tip of South America to the edge of Antarctica — aptly titled The Impossible Row -- chronicled in a mini-series produced by Discovery.Colin's latest accomplishment coincided with the release of his new book, The Impossible First. Dubbed by Kirkus a "brutally sublime tale of derring-do that transports as well as teaches”, it's a memoir that chronicles his incredible life and the many lessons learned about human potential, possibility, and the power of infinite love.If you missed our previous conversations (RRP#207, RRP#235 and RRP#439), they're an excavation of Colin's origin story growing up on a commune. How he survived an almost lethal burn accident that left him unlikely to walk again. His phoenix-like transformation into a professional ITU triathlete and Olympic hopeful. And how he morphed into a mountaineer with the audacity to attempt such incomprehensible feats of adventure athleticism is well worth the time invested.Today we pick up where our ongoing series last left off.Note: we recorded this conversation many months ago on January 18. My initial plan was to share this episode on February 9. However, on February 2, National Geographic published an article entitled The Problem With Colin O’Brady - a 7,000 word take down that accuses Colin of embellishing his accomplishments. It’s an upsetting piece that left me confused. I’ve known Colin for many years. I’ve spent quite a bit of time with him and his wife Jenna. I consider him a good friend. And myself a decent judge of character. However, in light of this development, it also felt tone deaf to release the podcast as scheduled. So I put a pin it.Two weeks later, Colin published a thorough, 16-page point-by-point refutation of the National Geographic article.I thought it only fair to provide Colin an opportunity to comment on the allegations. So, on March 8 (still pre-pandemic), we sat down again for a subsequent conversation to discuss the controversy particulars.Today I share both conversations. First, the original interview we conducted in January. It's an exploration the hows and whys behind The Impossible Row. The intention behind his new book and the process of birthing it. And a deep dive into human potential and the infinite love that fuels his.Immediately following this initial exchange is an additional 30-minute discourse specific to the National Geographic scuffle appended to the audio version of the podcast and viewable as a stand-alone piece here & below. The visually inclined can watch it all go down on YouTube -- where we separated the main podcast conversation and Colin’s thoughts in response to the article into two distinct videos. And as always, the audio version streams wild and free on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. As Colin and I are both fond of repeating, we all sit atop mountains of untapped potential. May this conversation help you tap yours.Peace + Plants,Listen, Watch & SubscribeApple Podcasts | YouTube | Spotify | Stitcher | Google PodcastsThanks to this week’s sponsorsAthletic Greens: 75 whole food sourced ingredients designed to optimize 5 key areas of health, Athletic Greens is the delicious daily habit that sets you up for a healthy future. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced they will no longer receive taxpayer handouts once they ditch royal life - but there is speculation that Prince Charles will still fund their privileged lifestyle. They are expected to continue to receive money from the Duchy of Cornwall via Prince Charles, which is currently thought to amount to £2.3 million a year.As part of today's bombshell announcement this evening that they are giving up their royal roles, Buckingham Palace revealed Harry and Meghan would give up their Sovereign Grant money - which equates to some £100,000 a year. The have also promised to repay the £2.4 million Sovereign Grant cash that was used for their Frogmore Cottage revamp.Despite making no mention of being bankrolled by Prince Charles, it is understood he will continue to subsidise their expenses. The Daily Mail's Royal Correspondent Rebecca English said Harry and Meghan will not receive any further public funding, "but will continue to receive funds from the Prince of Wales privately".Previously, a former aide told the Daily Mail: "Prince Charles's attitude is always just pay what needs to be paid and move on."It's usually the path of least resistance when it's to do with the boys."However, the Daily Mail's Richard Kay reported that those familiar with some of the eye-watering numbers which have crossed the royal desk at Clarence House sayOne figure went so far as to say that the money he spends, not just on Harry and Meghan but also on financing William and Kate, was "draining him".However, UK correspondent Enda Brady told the Weekend Collective he doesn't think Prince Charles will continue to fund them either."I think the Queen would have spoken to Charles at length in private, and I think Harry and Meghan made their decision." Officially, the brothers and their households are funded out of Charles's Duchy of Cornwall estate, but, in fact, the Prince has at times had to dip into his own private reserves. At one stage he was paying the Sussexes more than William and his family. That figure is now understood to be around the same, with Harry and William each receiving approximately £2.5 million. However, the Prince has let it be known that his funds are not inexhaustible and that there is a limit to how far and how much he can pay.Insiders speak of the "hundreds of thousands of pounds" the Prince made available to furnish the couple's Windsor home after their decision to abandon Kensington Palace.According to a source, the figures involved in providing for both boys have in recent times been flagged up to the Prince by his accounting staff on more than one occasion."There's usually a raised eyebrow, but the Prince always just signs them off," says the source. All the same, he has made it clear that while he will continue to fund his sons, there can be, as one courtier put it, "no blank cheque".The couple will now be free to do any commercial deals they like and appear to be continuing their 'Sussex Royal' brand, even though they are no long Royal Highnesses. If Meghan were to go back to acting she could be in for a princely sum of money, as she made £3million from appearing on American TV show Suits.A source said the couple will spend the majority of their time in North America, and had not signed any commercial agreements as yet.

InnerVoice Audio Experience with Travis McKenzie

Colin O'Brady is the world's greatest Endurance Athlete. There I said it! Hear me out... When was the last time someone did something for the very first time, yes Eliud Kipchoge broke an unbreakable record in going sub 2, but with all due respect to that amazing achievement. Colin spent 54 days in the harshest environment on Earth to be the first person to cross Antarctica solo, unaided and unsupported. This achievement itself would be impressive, if it wasn't for the additional world records Colin holds. All in all, his belief is that no Human is Limited. It's hard not to be inspired by Colin and I am privileged to share this incredible conversation from earlier this Summer. If you’re subscribed to the INNERVOICE emails and read our features you’ll have seen that things have been a little quiet of late. That’s mostly due to the work I’ve been doing with the team from 29029, if you haven’t heard of 29029 before, Colin gives a great description of the event and the community that surronds the weekend experience. Basically you have 36 hours to hike a private mountain as many times as you can until you reach 29,029 feet, representing the vertical gain of Mt Everest. I’ve been lucky to attend the 2 events in 2019, and have shared the stories of the incredible humans who participate in this challenge. Many of them pushing themselves further than they ever thought possible. In the spirit of INNERVOICE, which as you know is a platform to acknowledge the incredible feats of athletes and the mindset it takes for them to get to the top. 29029 provides that opportunity in spades. One of the co-founders of 29029 and friend Marc Hodulich, introduced Colin and I. Today you’ll hear his incredible story. I am stoked to bring it to you, I have no doubt you’ll learn something new and interesting about him and yourself. He gives us all permission to dream bigger, and start, simply by taking one step at a time. I have no doubt, given everything that he has achieved, that Colin is indeed the World’s Greatest Endurance athlete. As you heard, Colin has a book coming out very soon, titled ‘The Impossible First’ - you can pre-order a copy now. Also, if you’d like to join the 29029 community and participate in a 2020, registration goes live today at 11am, (October 29, 2019) or if you’re listening in the future, you may have already missed out. Either way head to 29029everesting.com and while you’re there hit the stories tab to check out some amazing stories from a ordinary people doing extraordinary things. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/innervoiceaudioexperience/message

Cena jaką podał w kwietniu magazyn Commercial Observer to $11.75 milionów.Nowy Jork: gubernator Andrew Cuomo ogłosił śmierć najmłodszej w USA, a pierwszej w Nowym Jorku, ofiary palenia e-papierosów. A tymczasem, Turcja poinformowała o zbombardowaniu pogranicza Iraku i Syrii. Według przedstawicieli tureckiej armii, atak miał odciąć drogi odwrotu i zaopatrzenia oddziałom kurdyjskim. Obrady odwieszono. Szef rządu chciał, by przerwa trwała ponad miesiąc. Hey Life Athletes, welcome to episode 167 of the Life Athletics podcast! Today’s guest Life Athlete is Colin O'Brady. “Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.”  At 22, Colin thought his life was over when what seemed like harmless fun in a remote village in Thailand turned into a nightmare. He was participating in a fire dance with a jumprope; the next thing he knew, his feet was entangled in the rope and he was burning up to the neck.  Doctors told him that he would not be able to work properly again. Yet here we are with Colin, speaking to us about stories from completing a triathlon and Snapchatting from the peak of Mt. Everest. “Us humans have these reservoirs of untapped potential inside of us and we can achieve incredible things, particularly when we focus our mind and we commit to the process, and more importantly, when we believe they are possible.” Colin tells us that all things you really want to enjoy in life require some sort of challenge. Not being one to back down, Colin - with the encouragement of his very supportive mother - got up and began breaking ceilings. Since the accident and since getting back in shape, Colin has conquered The Explorers Grand Slam and went on to break two world records. “We aren’t experts, but we are curious enough to wake up every day and keep taking a few more steps.” He's not stopping at all of his achievements. Colin wants others to take a challenge and break records too. So he started a non-profit called Beyond 7/2, which aims to raise awareness and funds to inspire kids and their communities to lead active, healthy kids and pursue their biggest dreams. Join Colin and Nik on this very inspirational episode today.

Why do some people have a “can-do” attitude no matter what obstacles come their way? What is it that makes the difference? You’re about to hear one man’s story that will answer these questions and more about the human spirit and the amazing resilience of the human body.    Colin O’Brady is an endurance athlete from Portland, Oregon. Colin O'Brady is an American pro endurance athlete, mountain climber, adventurer, and professional speaker. O'Brady is a two-time world record holder for the Explorers Grand Slam (Last Degree) and Seven Summits speed records. He became the fastest person to complete the adventurers challenges in 139 days and 131 days respectively. He is a former professional triathlete and represented the United States on the ITU Triathlon World Cup circuit, racing in 25 countries on six continents from 2009-2015.  In 2007, O'Brady began what was planned as a year long backpacking trip around the world. In January 2008, while on the island of Koh Tao, he suffered a devastating burn injury. O'Brady participated in the local custom of fire jump-roping and was tripped by the burning kerosene-soaked rope. Although he instinctively ran into the ocean to extinguish the flames, he suffered second and third-degree burns to nearly 25% of his body, primarily damaging his legs and feet. 12 hours after the accident, he was transported by truck and boat to a hospital in Koh Samui. After a week and 8 surgeries he was transferred to a larger hospital in Bangkok. The doctors warned him that he might never regain the ability to walk normally. He took his first step the following month. "I was determined to beat the odds and focused all my energy on one day completing a triathlon to prove to myself I could make a full recovery," O'Brady said in a 2016 interview O'Brady moved to Chicago where he took a job as a commodities trader following the accident. He learned how to walk again, and for a year focused on physical rehabilitation. He began to train for triathlon; swimming, cycling, and running. In May 2009 he won a sprint-distance triathlon in Racine, Wisconsin and in August 2009 he placed 1st overall amateur in the Olympic-distance Chicago Triathlon. He then placed in the age-group nationals in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, which earned him a position on Team USA at the 2010 World Triathlon Championships in Budapest, Hungary. In late 2009, encouraged by his mentor, financier Brian Gelber, O'Brady quit his job to pursue a career as a professional athlete. With Gelber as a sponsor, he moved to Australia to train in a more temperate climate. O'Brady has since completed more than 50 triathlons, ranging from sprint distance to Ironman competitions.
