Beverly Willett is the author of “Disassembly Required: A Memoir of Midlife Resurrection,” a June 2022 pick by the world's largest book club and nominated for Georgia Author of the year. From rural schoolgirl, to big city entertainment lawyer, to stay-at-home mom, securely ensconced in a fashionable part of Brooklyn, Beverly Willett achieved the American Dream. And then it came crashing down. But as she reluctantly put her dream house for sale, surrendering her hopes for a life that hadn't turned out the way she imagined, the world opened back up. And Willett leapt toward it, embracing uncertainty. Kirkus Reviews called her memoir a “triumphant journey to new beginnings.”Willett has also written for the nation's top publications including The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, AARP Magazine, The Guardian, and more. In 2016, she gave a popular Tedx Talk entitled “How to Begin Again.” At work on her first novel, Willett now makes her home in Savannah, Georgia. Mississippi native Karen Hinton is the author of Penis Politics: A Memoir of Women, Men & Power. Her memoir is about how girls and women are impacted by sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, abuse and discrimination, told only through colorful, funny and tragic stories about herself and the girls and women she knew from age 16 to 61. People Magazine recently featured Karen's story, which also has been covered extensively in other broadcast and print media. Her website, www.penis-politics.com, provides additional media, as well as a number of book reviews.Penis Politics has been called a "Stand by Me for girls” with its evocative story of four teenage girls, growing up in small town Mississippi in the 1970s, harboring a secret that reverberates through their lives. One of the girls, the shining star among Karen and her friends, is raped by a school official in the bookroom; she quits school and commits suicide years later. Karen leaves Mississippi for a career in journalism and politics, but the echoes of Mississippi are never far behind her as she becomes a powerful public relations and political operative in Washington and New York City. She served as a communications aide to many Democratic politicians. She was a press secretary for former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, former Housing Secretary Andrew Cuomo, the late DNC Chair Ronald Brown, and former U.S. Congressman Mike Espy, the first Black Congressman from Mississippi since Reconstruction in 1986. Known for never ducking a fight, Hinton was at the peak of her career when a catastrophic brain injury from a freak accident confronted her with the battle of her life. Emerging from a coma, learning to walk and talk again, Hinton was determined to “speak up, not shut up” on issues involving women, men and power in politics.Hinton regularly contributes guest columns to the New York Daily News and other publications, focusing on the topics of #MeToo, sexual harassment in politics and skewering big oil, big banks and other bullies whenever possible. Earlier in her career, Hinton was a journalist in Mississippi and Colorado, a cocktail waitress in Aspen and a high school teacher in Mississippi. Susan Salenger is the author and researcher behind Sidelined, How Women Manage & Mismanage Their Health. Sidelined examines the many ways in which some women manage and sometimes mismanage their healthcare. (Release date, April, 2022). Susan explores how women, typically the medical gatekeepers for their families, tend to be extremely conscientious about taking care of themselves, yet at the same time inadvertently undermine their own care. They often hesitate to call the doctor when they don't feel well and worry that their doctor visit will take time away from their families or work. They may hesitate to ask doctors the necessary questions and don't always comply with the doctor's instructions. Salenger's research reveals how conflicted many women are about the medical decisions they ultimately make. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Susan attended UCLA to study English. After graduation, she worked alongside her husband Fred for 25 years at their production company, Salenger Films, which produced corporate training and development films distributed worldwide. Today, at age 79, Susan lives in Northern California to be near her incredible family which includes her two daughters, four grandchildren, a cat named Max and a dog named JD (Salenger). When she is not speaking about her book or spending time with family and friends, you will find Susan power lifting to stay in shape.Connect with Susan:WebsiteInstagramFacebookTwitterLinkedIn---To learn more about Kim's Me Time Midlife Community on Facebook, go here.

Dinah Lin's life exemplifies her message: “It's Never too Late!” She didn't begin her career until age 36 (after being a full time mom for 15 years), received her MBA from Columbia Business School at age 40 then began climbing the corporate ladder - finally “breaking the glass ceiling” when she became a corporate Vice President at a Fortune 500. At age 58, she made the decision to move to Beijing to study Chinese and reconnect with her roots. A year turned into a decade, as she witnessed the transformation of China. After returning from Beijing, Dinah finally realized a long held dream, publishing her best selling memoir, “Daring to Dream Once Again - It's Never Too Late!” at the age of 73! The title, she says, is her challenge to herself, as she almost gave up her dream of writing a book, and she has a great story about this.A bit more about Dinah's background, she was born in Shanghai and grew up in a small town in Ohio where they were the only Asian family. As a young wife and mother she lived for 15 years in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.Prior to moving to Beijing in 2000, Dinah was an international executive and entrepreneur with two decades of experience ranging from high-tech start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.Dinah also served as an appointed senior official in the George H.W.
