If Allah Is the Creator, Then Are Humans Also Not Creating? | #8 Allah's Names & Attributes

Some Names of Allah don't just describe Him. They expose the difference between Him and everything else that exists. This episode of Fiqh al-Asma al-Husna series centres on three connected Names: Al-Khaliq, Al-Bari' and Al-Musawwir. These are Names that are brought together in the Quran in a single verse to describe how Allah brings everything into being. Look at every skyscraper, every aircraft, every invention people are proud of. Impressive as it looks, none of it was "created"; it was only rearranged from what Allah had already made. So Allah throws down a challenge that no engineer, no scientist, and no civilisation has ever met: Even if all of creation gathered together, they could not create a single fly. So what does true creation actually mean? And why does this one distinction expose the falsehood behind every form of shirk? The question is - if Allah alone brings things into existence from nothing, what does that mean for everything you fear, pursue, or place your trust in besides Him?   Sign up now to AMAU Academy: https://www.amauacademy.com/ AMAU Academy: https://www.amauacademy.com/ AMAU Junior: https://amaujunior.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/amauofficial/ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/AMAU Telegram: https://t.me/amauofficial YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/AMAUofficial Twitter: https://twitter.com/AMAUofficial iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/al-madrasatu-al-umariyyah/id1524526782 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/08NJC1pIA0maaF6aKqZL4N Get in Touch: https://amau.org/getintouch BarakAllahu feekum. #AMAU #Islam #Dawah

The return of "What About?" Wednesdays! Text us your questions for apologist and pastor Robby Lashua!Today, Robby Lashua and Geoff Brown step right into the do-do.Christianity isn't meant to be a list of "don't do's" as so many in the world, and perhaps the church, perceive it.  Rather, Christianity defines its followers as individuals who are aware of the the do-do's.  It's all about what we do do.  Our faith is intended to be active, purposeful, vibrant, loving, and mission-driven.And all that do do stems from one thing:  "Imago Dei".Because we are created in the image and likeness of God, we are created "On Purpose" and "For a Purpose".  Further, when we defy the cultural norms, and live the lives we were designed, defined, and destined for, our fulfillment and joy go through the roof!Robby Lashua is the lead pastor at Palmcroft Church in Phoenix, Arizona.  Having also served with Stand to Reason, he's a leading apologist who brings the defense of scripture and Biblical truth to bear powerfully within his teaching.Today, Robby helps us to navigate away from the polarity of the creation vs. evolution debate (as truly fun as it is) and towards the reason for which we were created... In EMS, the moment your mind starts to slip is rarely dramatic. It is quieter than that. It is the moment your focus narrows, the noise gets louder, the room feels smaller, and the call demands clarity you are not sure you can access fast enough. This episode explores mental acuity: your ability to think clearly under pressure. Not perfectly. Not flawlessly. Clearly enough to make good decisions when everything around you is unstable. We break mental acuity down into four attributes that matter deeply in the field: situational awareness, compartmentalization, task switching, and learnability. Each one affects how you read a scene, manage your emotions, prioritize tasks, adapt to new information, and stay functional when the pressure spikes. We also talk about the cost of compartmentalizing without processing, the limits of multitasking, the danger of cognitive overload, and why staying teachable is not optional in a profession that is constantly evolving.Mental acuity is fragile, but it is trainable. This episode offers practical takeaways for EMS providers who want to stay sharp, stay steady, and stay ahead of the call.

Dave Brisbin 6.14.26 God is love. That's not just a statement, it's a principle. Attributes we experience as the infinite Source of everything go far beyond qualities we use to describe. They point at essence, a table of indivisible elements, commodities that comprise the whole. If God is love, then God is also everything else that supports the oneness that love is: restoration, reconciliation, salvation, forgiveness. God doesn't perform them as verbs. God is them as nouns. Even grammar can't keep up. If God is forgiveness, then God doesn't forgive. Forgiveness is the essence of the field of God's presence. Enter the field, enter forgiveness. There is no prerequisite for forgiveness. No contrition, confession, penance required. No precondition beyond what it takes any of us to enter the field. Entering the field, being fully present, means being fully aware, vulnerable, humble, willing to submit to something greater than self. Which happen to be the same qualities that forgive—free us from guilt or victimhood. Jesus never says, I forgive you. He says, your sins are forgiven or your faith has made you whole. Not an action, a recognition of having entered the field. This is not a distinction without a difference. It makes all the difference in how we understand our relationship with God. Jesus tells the story of laborers who go to the field to work early in the morning and all through the day, some only working an hour before quitting time. They are all paid the same. The early workers are outraged. So are we. But the point is, the pay is entering the field, not a reward for time served. They were paid the moment they entered the experience. To believe God does or doesn't forgive based on performance is to fear God may withhold the love and acceptance of forgiveness. But God can't withhold what God is. God is one, oneness is love, love is forgiveness. Forgiveness isn't absolution bestowed. It's the field we inhabit. Forgiveness is the journey we take to become present to the field. Like the stages of grief, the healing is the journey. No one can take it for us or heal apart from it. We're as forgiven as we want to be.

AI tools can perform incredible feats of computation. They can also displace human relationships, outsource learning, distort reality, and pretend to have wisdom. Christian families have a responsibility not to conform to the patterns of this world (Rom 12:2) but to test everything, hold on to what is good, and reject what is evil (1 Thes. 5:21). In this episode, Kelly provides a four-pillar biblical framework for evaluating AI tools and whether they are appropriate or beneficial for children. The four pillars are (1) Imago Dei, (2) Attributes of God, (3) Truth, and (4) Formation. Author, Bible teacher and Conference host Jennifer Rothschild joins Stephanie to talk about true delight as awakened by God Himself within us, rather than achieved through personal effort or performance. Together today they explore:the difference between delighting in God as duty versus delight as Spirit-awakened response.how experiencing God's presence turns ordinary moments into opportunities for delight.practical ways to cultivate awareness of God's activity in everyday life.the role of suffering in awakening deeper delight and intimacy with God.how worship, community, and nature reflect God's delight and invite our response.Delighting in God is both the fruit and evidence of a heart attuned to His presence and beauty. It's not manufactured, but awakened by the Spirit, often through worship, community, and even suffering. The invitation is to participate in this “sing along” of relationship, responding to God's delight over us—not because we are perfect, but because we are His.Jennifer Rothschild emphasizes moving delight in God off the "to-do list" and seeing it as a response—“it's not a duty, it's a response.” Authentic delight arises from an “awareness of His presence,” not from striving to manufacture feelings or perform. Recognizing that God's nearness itself is the catalyst for delight.Examples such as listening to birdsong became moments of delight for Jennifer because she trained her mind and heart to recognize God as the giver of all beauty. This “mental paradigm and heart posture” means seeing evidence of God in everyday experiences—a child's laughter, the taste of good food, or the beauty of creation.Delight in God can only be truly awakened by God's own Spirit in us—not conjured by human effort. Stephanie explains why her new book is titled “Awaken Delight,” highlighting that Christians delight in God because God births that desire in us through the Holy Spirit.God delights to partner with us—not as servants under command, but as beloved children invited into relationship. Our small acts of trust and faith, like a grandchild's shy art offering, delight God the way a grandparent delights in a child's offering.Jesus embodies God's delight—at His baptism, before any miracles or ministry, the Father declared delight in Him simply because He was His Son. Our delight is rooted in being “in Christ,” not in achievements.Surprisingly, suffering can be the crucible that awakens delight. Jennifer unpacks Paul's words about “delighting in weakness”, explaining that it means recognizing God's good even in hardship—a perspective shift empowered by Christ.Practical Steps to Awaken Your Delight of God todayMeditate on a single verse all day to listen for God's living word in everyday reality.Attribute every beautiful or joyful experience back to God as the source.Engage worship by savoring every word as a direct offering to God.When struggling, turn “worship” into prayer—ask God to awaken the truth of the words in your hear.FIND OUT MORE ABOUT “AWAKEN DELIGHT” BY STEPHANIE ROUSSELLE“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." "The Biblical teaching of Unitarianism (One God) versus the teaching of Trinitarianism (3 gods) is outlined. The word "trinity" or related words are not found in the Bible. This teaching only surfaced around AD 350-381. The Bible affirms monotheism not polytheism."Inspiring, What if the most widely held belief about God isn't actually found in the Bible? In this thought-provoking and deeply insightful exposition, we embark on a journey through Scripture to examine the foundations of Trinitarianism versus the Biblical Unitarian position. This is not an attack on sincere believers, but a heartfelt and respectful exploration of what the Bible actually teaches about the Father and His Son.This outstanding presentation moves beyond simple proof-texting to reveal the historical development of the Trinity, the philosophical challenges it presents, and the wonderful, plain reading of Scripture that points to one God, the Father, and one Lord Jesus Christ, His exalted Son. We delve into the concept of divine agency, the personification of wisdom, and the revealing truth of what the early church truly believed. If you have ever wondered why the word "Trinity" isn't in the Bible, or how a plain reading of Acts 2 or 1 Corinthians 15 shapes our understanding of who Jesus is, this video is for you. It's a wonderful opportunity to see the cohesive and logical beauty of the Unitarian understanding of God's plan.**Chapters:**00:00 - Introduction: A Respectful Approach to a Difficult Subject02:08 - Playing Offense: Why We Don't Hold to the Trinity03:22 - The Missing Word: "Trinity" and Later Creeds05:40 - Peter's Testimony: A Plain Reading of Acts 208:27 - When Did the Theory Arise? The influence of comparison, imposter syndrome, and anxiety on your leadership strength. Comparison and imposter syndrome negatively impact the ability to lead. They steal confidence and stem from an anxiety response loop. The combination of comparison and anxiety, and imposter syndrome and anxiety, quite often go hand-in-hand. One of the key responses to comparison and imposter syndrome is to be diligent in pursuing what God is calling you to (motherhood, career, business ownership), while detaching from what others think of you or are doing. In other words, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. An example of how social media activates an anxiety response loop. Anxiety, Comparison, and Imposter Syndrome: Understanding the Vicious Cycle Anxiety does not simply coexist with comparison and imposter syndrome. Rather, it drives them. When your nervous system is dysregulated, it scans constantly for evidence of threat. In the context of leadership, that threat often takes the form of questions: " Am I enough or am I good enough?" How the Anxiety, Comparison, and Imposter Syndrome Cycle Works Step 1: Anxiety Activates the Nervous System Step 2: Comparison Enters Through Social Media and the Environment Step 3: Imposter Syndrome Amplifies the Fear Step 4: Anxiety Increases, Behavior Becomes Avoidant Step 5: Social Media Accelerates the Entire Loop What Comparison and Imposter Syndrome Look Like in Christian Women Leaders These behaviors disguise themselves as humility or self-awareness. Consequently, they are among the hardest patterns to recognize. Do any of these feel familiar? You: Minimize your achievements because someone else has accomplished more. Hesitate to share your expertise publicly because you fear being found out. Overprepare obsessively because you feel less qualified than others think you are. Scroll social media and feel deflated, even when your own life is genuinely good. Delay the next step in your calling until you feel more ready. Attribute your successes to luck and your failures to personal inadequacy. Replay conversations at night, analyzing every way you may have fallen short. Avoid feedback or new opportunities because failure feels unbearable. Your Identity in Christ: The Only Truth That Breaks the Cycle Here is what this cycle is working overtime to prevent you from believing: you were not made to measure yourself against anyone else. Biblical Truths These are not affirmations. They are facts. How Christian Women Leaders Can Break the Comparison and Imposter Syndrome Cycle Breaking this cycle requires addressing both the nervous system driving it and the identity lies fueling it. Here is where to begin: 1. Name the Cycle When It Starts 2. Regulate Before You Scroll 3. Audit Your Feed Ruthlessly 4. Replace the Lie with a Specific Truth 5. Renew Your Mind Before the World Gets to It 6. Test Your Own Work, Not Hers What Breaking the Cycle Looks Like in the Calm, Confident, Consistent Loop REFLECTION QUESTIONS Where does the comparison and imposter syndrome cycle most often start for you — social media, a specific relationship, or a particular environment? Which imposter lie shows up most frequently? What specific Scripture truth directly counters it? What would it feel like to measure your progress only against God's purposes for your life this week — and no one else's? Read the full show notes and access all links.

There are Names of Allah that don't just inform you… They dismantle everything you thought you understood about existence. This episode centres on two of the greatest: Al-Hayy and Al-Qayyoom - names many scholars held to be from the greatest names of Allah, 'Azza wa Jalla. Everything you see is marked by a beginning, a deficiency, an end, or weakness. But what of the One whose life was never preceded nor is His life touched by death, sleep, or any deficiency? The One who needs nothing… yet everything is sustained by Him. These names don't just describe Allah - they establish why He alone is worthy of worship, reliance, and Du'aa. And hidden within them is a powerful reality… one that transforms how distress, hardship, and need are answered. The question is - are you willing to truly understand them and find in your life a sudden burst of Tawakkul like never before?  00:00 - Precap & Introduction 01:35 - Occurrences of "Al-Hayy" & "Al-Qayyoom" in the Qur'an 03:20 - Al-Hayy 06:53 - Why All of Allah's Attributes Return to "Al-Hayy" 08:57 - Different Things People Worship and Their Reality 12:35 - Al-Qayyoom 19:02 - The Vast Meanings of "Al-Hayy Al-Qayyoom" 20:35 - Is "Al-Hayy Al-Qayyoom" Allah's Greatest Name? 22:32 - Seeking Relief Through "Ya Hayy Ya Qayyoom" 25:35 - Only the Perfectly Living Can Perfectly Sustain 27:29 - Allah Does Only What Befits His Majesty 30:46 - Evidence for "Ya Hayy Ya Qayyoom" in Du'aa 31:43 - The Distinction Between Names and Attributes in Du'aa 33:22 - Submission and Lowliness Before "Al-Hayy Al-Qayyoom" 34:28 - Acting Upon the Meanings of "Al-Hayy Al-Qayyoom" 40:16 - The Meaning of "وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ"  Sign up now to AMAU Academy: https://www.amauacademy.com/ AMAU Academy: https://www.amauacademy.com/ AMAU Junior: https://amaujunior.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/amauofficial/ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/AMAU Telegram: https://t.me/amauofficial YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/AMAUofficial Twitter: https://twitter.com/AMAUofficial iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/al-madrasatu-al-umariyyah/id1524526782 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/08NJC1pIA0maaF6aKqZL4N Get in Touch: https://amau.org/getintouch BarakAllahu feekum. #AMAU #Allah #namesofallah #islamicknowledge #seekingknowledge

Part three of the ether series gets its hands dirty. Jonathan Drake and Polymath tear into the Michelson-Morley experiment, the so-called "nail in the coffin" for ether theory, and demonstrate that the experiment was built on a pile of unexamined assumptions that did the heavy lifting before a single beam of light was split. Then, they introduce one of the most foundational concepts of the series: principle and attribute. A wave is not a thing. It is what something does. A shadow has no properties of its own. Once you see it, you cannot unsee it. The episode closes with a live recreation of the double slit experiment using a laser pointer and a single strand of Jonathan's daughter's hair, producing a textbook wave interference pattern on the wall and, arguably, the most low-budget proof in physics history that something in this universe is most definitely waving.

Large-Scale Spending Allegation Claims California spent approximately $1 billion to bring or support 400,000 undocumented immigrants. Attributes these figures to a report allegedly from the Manhattan Institute. Use of Public Funds Asserts state and federal tax dollars were directed to nonprofit organizations (e.g., Catholic Charities, Jewish Family Services, immigrant legal groups). Frames this funding as political kickbacks rather than humanitarian or service-based grants. Political Organizing Accusations Claims immigrant-advocacy organizations function as political machines: Organizing protests Producing political messaging Monitoring ICE activities Alleges coordination with Democratic political goals. Social and Economic Impact Narrative Argues mass immigration: Depresses wages Increases housing costs Strains public services Drives longtime residents out of California Uses anecdotal housing examples to emphasize overcrowding and rent inflation. Historical and Ideological Framing Compares modern Democratic immigration policies to 19th-century political machines (e.g., Tammany Hall). Frames migrants as: Economic tools Long-term welfare recipients Future Democratic voters Uses language suggesting exploitation and dependency. Criticism of Sanctuary Policies Strongly opposes sanctuary city laws. Frames limits on immigration enforcement as: Encouraging illegality Undermining public safety Blocking federal authority Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. DHS Shutdown & Democratic Opposition An extended shutdown continues of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), leaving approximately 200,000 employees unpaid. Attributes the shutdown to Democratic refusal to fund DHS due to opposition to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Republican Strategy on DHS Funding Explains that ICE and Customs & Border Protection (CBP) were pre‑funded through a prior reconciliation bill, insulating them from the shutdown. Criticizes short‑term funding approaches and argues Democrats will not support ICE funding in the foreseeable future. Use of Budget Reconciliation Advocates using budget reconciliation to bypass the Senate filibuster and pass funding with a simple majority. Proposes funding ICE and CBP for the maximum allowable 10 years rather than shorter-term extensions. Proposed Offensive Policy Approach Argues that Democratic obstruction should result in increased ICE funding (e.g., a 10% increase) rather than status‑quo responses. Frames this as both a policy and political countermeasure. Broader Conservative Legislative Agenda Calls for leveraging reconciliation to advance multiple conservative priorities before potential Republican losses in upcoming elections. Examples include: Preventing future shutdowns of critical services (air traffic control, TSA). Indexing capital gains taxes to inflation to reduce “phantom gains.” Expanding school choice and tax‑advantaged family policies. Economic & Housing Policy Rationale Explains how inflation‑indexed capital gains could increase housing supply by discouraging long-term holding solely for tax avoidance. Links tax reform to affordability and economic growth concerns. Election Integrity Measures Supports incorporating election integrity provisions into reconciliation where budget rules allow. Suggests conditioning federal election funding on compliance with integrity standards. Urgency & Historical Warning Draws comparisons to missed legislative opportunities in past Republican majorities. Argues reconciliation represents the last realistic chance to enact significant conservative legislation before expected political gridlock. Strategic “Tentpole” Concept Describes ICE and border security as unifying issues capable of holding a broad Republican coalition together. Warns that narrower or fragmented legislative efforts are likely to fail. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now.
