Between this and the Wham! in China documentary, it's an accidental George Michael theme week, but we're not complaining. Olivia Wilde stars as a caustic and quick-witted dom to Cooper Hoffman's eager and besotted sub. The latest from veteran queer filmmaker Gregg Araki takes place in the heightened world of LA's contemporary art scene. This movie is a hoot. In theaters. SHEEP IN THE BOX. A rare miss from Japanese writer-director Hirokazu Kore-eda. His film explores some familiar themes about creating a family in unexpected ways, but does so in languid, superficial fashion. A couple in the near future brings a synthetic boy into their home to replace the 7-year-old son they lost. Sounds like a moving premise, but this never grabbed us. In theaters. MOVIE NEWS LIVE! According to spokesperson Kelly Nelson, while the Dawson Lodge is reportedly in “really good shape,” it no longer meets current building standards. “The rooms are too small, we have inside rooms without any windows to the outside,” said Nelson, adding seniors don't want to move in until they have a room with a window. Comic-Con is a fun and exciting event where people come together to celebrate their favorite comics, movies, and TV shows. It started in 1970 in San Diego and has grown into a huge gathering for fans worldwide. People dress up as their favorite characters, which is called cosplay, and they can meet artists, actors, and writers. There are also fun activities, like panels where famous people talk about their work and share news about upcoming projects. Many people go to see the latest toys, comics, and collectibles. Comic-Con is a place where everyone's imagination comes to life, making it a magical experience for fans of all ages.

In 1964, a group of teenage boys organised a convention in New York – it became known as the first official Comic Con.The idea began after 16-year-old Bernie Bubnis wrote an article in his comic book fanzine. But when no-one else took on the project, he rounded up friends to help. Together, they booked a venue, arranged a date, sent out letters and posted ads. And for the star attraction, they invited legendary American comic book artist, Steve Ditko, co-creator of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange.In late July, the doors opened on the first convention, kickstarting what's become a worldwide cultural phenomenon.
