In this episode, host Bidemi Ologunde examines the career, analytical philosophy, and remarkable adaptability of Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra, who rose from the organization's video room to become the NBA's longest-tenured active head coach, a two-time NBA champion, six-time NBA Finals coach, and the newly appointed head coach of the USA Men's National Team for the 2027 FIBA World Cup and 2028 Olympic Games. How has Spoelstra continually redesigned his systems around dramatically different rosters, from the LeBron James era to Miami's more recent underdog playoff runs? What role do film study, statistical evidence, matchup data, experimentation, and unconventional defensive schemes play in his decision-making? The episode explores how Spoelstra has used switching, zone defenses, blitzes, drop coverages, and constant tactical variation to keep opponents solving new problems, while building an organizational culture capable of sustaining competitiveness across nearly two decades. What can leaders beyond basketball learn from a coach whose greatest competitive advantage may be his willingness to keep adapting?
In hour one, the chaos leading up to Tua's return to Miami continues. Our final thoughts on the expected boo-birds tonight. Chris "The Bear" Fallica joins the show to share his excitement over the Miami Hurricanes being back in the National spotlight.

Why can a successful business still struggle to borrow money? John DiGioia, principal of Sure Source Capital, joins Alex Norman and Jamie Blond to explain the hidden financing system behind the restaurants, medical practices, contractors, storefronts, and other businesses that shape our communities. Drawing on more than 20 years in corporate finance, John breaks down why traditional banks reject many small-business applicants and how alternative financing can provide access to working capital, equipment financing, lines of credit, invoice factoring, commercial real estate financing, and other funding solutions. The conversation explores: • Why profitable businesses can still experience cash-flow emergencies • How speed, risk, and credit history affect the cost of capital • When alternative financing can help—and when it can push a business further behind • Why some industries are considered riskier than others • How owners can improve their financial profile • The growth of private credit and alternative lending • Why Miami has become an important center for lenders and private capital Most importantly, John explains why obtaining money is only part of the decision: business owners must understand whether the financing will actually solve their problem or cost more than the opportunity it supports. DOCKET ALERTS: Washington Post opinion writer Karen Attiah, who was fired for her remarks after the death of Charlie Kirk, has been reinstated to her job after winning in arbitration. Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook responded to Trump's latest effort to fire her by pointing out that multiple members of Trump's own cabinet made the same paperwork error she did on a mortgage application, and no one is accusing them of fraud. Judge David Hittner, an 87-year-old Reagan appointee, struck down Texas's drag ban, finding that it would necessarily criminalize a lot of performances that are not obscene … including ones by Dolly Parton. DOOFUS OF THE DAY: Mike Lindell, the crackpot pillow pumper, lost his bid to be the Republican gubernatorial candidate in his home state of Minnesota. And he missed the deadline to pay for a recount. But he's not letting that stop him! He's suing everyone in sight demanding they surrender proof that the entire thing was rigged. MAIN SHOW: Florida Republicans are embroiled in a massive corruption scandal involving $10 million in taxpayer dollars for children's prescriptions, laundered through First Lady Casey Desantis's charity, and used for partisan political purposes, including defeating a marijuana legalization referendum. CBS in Miami got the grand jury report. Judge Fernando Rodriguez, Jr. rebuffed Minnesota's motion to force Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to extradite ICE agent Christian Castro. Castro shot a man in Minneapolis and then lied about it, including filing a false police report. He was indicted in Minnesota, but Texas refuses to sign an extradition warrant, and now Castro has been released from jail. Judge Cooper held a hearing today on the future of the Kennedy Center, after the board voted again to chisel Trump's name into the marble on the front of the place. Judge Indira Talwani ordered the state plaintiffs to file an amended complaint in their effort to block the Trump administration seizing control of mail-in voting pursuant to Trump's executive order. Last week, the Supreme Court's conservatives blocked Judge Talwani's prior injunction on the theory that the states hadn't yet been harmed when they filed their original complaint. Chris Wands shares how he built a powerhouse Miami luxury real estate business by embracing the fundamentals: hard work, showing up, answering the phone, and treating every client and transaction as an opportunity. Chris explains why rentals have been a major driver of his team's growth, how a $1,000 rental can eventually lead to a multimillion-dollar client, and why agents should never underestimate the value of smaller deals. Last, Chris also opens up about building a team, using AI and CRM systems to improve operations, becoming a trusted advisor rather than simply a salesperson, and maintaining client relationships long after the transaction is over.
