How do you start your day? Be honest… Do you greet the day with intention? Or does chaos reign each morning? It's no secret that many of us have aren't morning people, we'd rather hit the snooze button a few (dozen!) times than develop a morning routine. Some of us habitually reach for our phones before we've barely opened our eyes. Unfortunately, our reluctant waking may set us up for a less magical day and a less restful night. By creating a morning ritual infused with feminine energy, we give our parasympathetic nervous systems an opportunity to enter a rest & digest cycle. As we journey through the late spring woods, consider how you might revamp your own morning rituals. Are you upset about that morning matcha ritual getting A LOT more expensive? Maybe blame all those performative males who are seemingly adopting emotionally sensitive progressive personas (such as drinking matcha and carrying tote bags) to attract women. Regardless, whether it's the matcha latte craze or the proliferation of packaged matcha products, supply can't keep up with the unprecedented demand…as record heat and severe droughts in Japan throttled yields, while labor shortages further strain production. With no end in sight regarding these higher prices, maybe it's time every “green goddess” denounces this current performativity example…so even the most dedicated "matcha men" switch back to chugging Monster Energy.

Today’s episode is one I’ve been so excited to share with you. I sat down with neuroscientist, author and speaker TJ Power, and we explored something that feels both incredibly simple… and completely life changing. What if feeling better didn’t require a big life overhaul? What if the key to more motivation, calm, connection and happiness is already inside you… just waiting to be activated? In this conversation, we dive into what TJ calls The Dose Effect – understanding the four key brain chemicals that shape how you feel every single day, and how small, intentional habits can completely transform your life. What I love about TJ’s work is that it comes from lived experience. He’s not just teaching this – he’s lived it, struggled with it, and found a way through it. And that makes his insights even more powerful. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, distracted, or just not quite yourself… this episode will give you practical, simple tools to start shifting that today. Take a walk, grab a journal, or simply sit and listen… this one might just change how you live your everyday life. Join my workshop - How to stop feeling rushed, and finally feel ahead of your life. Hello Beautiful, I'm so grateful you're here with me. Want to start your day feeling calm and focused instead of rushed? A Morning Ritual for Peace and Clarity is a mindful guided morning meditation designed to center your thoughts, set positive intentions, and bring clarity to the day ahead. ☀️ Love,
This is one of those conversations that will truly stay with you. A few years ago, I wrote my book Your Dream Life Starts Here, and one of my biggest dreams has always been to inspire as many people as possible to write down their dreams and go after them. It still really touches me when people say, "you're probably sick of hearing this, but you book changed my life." So when I recently came across a beautiful story on LinkedIn from someone who said my book had helped her create her dream life, I was touched and curious. That someone is Nienke, and what she's done is incredible. She didn’t just dream. She made it happen. In this episode, we talk about what it really takes to move from dreaming to doing. We talk about courage, taking small steps, and saying yes even when it feels uncomfortable. Four key takeaways: Why writing your dreams down is more powerful than you think How small, brave actions can completely change your life Why stepping outside your comfort zone is where the magic happens How to create a life that gives you both freedom and meaning If you have a dream sitting quietly in your heart, this episode is for you. Because your dream is not random. It's there for a reason. So take a moment, get comfortable, and let this conversation inspire you to take that first step. As always, I’d LOVE to hear what resonated most with you - so please share and let’s keep the conversation going in the Dream Life Podcast Facebook Group here. Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Temptation isn't the end of the story and it isn't even a sin. That one truth can crack open a path out of shame, especially for young men trying to live with integrity in a porn-saturated culture where the cycle of “try hard, cave, repeat” feels inevitable. We talk through the Claymore approach to Catholic formation and spiritual battle using a real moment from a men's conference in Milwaukee. Three teenage boys spot a St Michael banner with a flaming Claymore sword, walk up with a father, and end up hearing something they've been aching for: a battle plan that's actually doable. We unpack the big questions stirring in young hearts right now, identity, purpose, truth, love, and why we're created male and female, and we speak plainly about sex, sexuality, lust, and the desire to be free. The practical takeaway is simple enough to start today: Order The Claymore Battle Plan Handbook! Visit the Website: ClaymoreMilitesChristi.comDiscuss and Meditate on One short “ACT” from the Claymore Battle Plan Handbook each week. Talk through the discussion questions with a brother, and commit to the 10-minute morning ritual. We call it “knees before the phone,” and it includes “praying with temptation,” a concrete way to redirect desire toward freedom and fulfillment. You'll also hear Luke's unforgettable line, “I've been praying for this,” and why we believe the world changes when we pass down what is true, good, and beautiful. If this stirred something in you, don't ignore it. Subscribe, share this with a young man you love, and leave a review so more people can find this conversation on spiritual battle, prayer, chastity, and Catholic discipleship.Support the show

Inspired by the loss of his mother to cancer during his first year of medical school, Dr. G shares how his journey led him beyond conventional medicine to uncover the deeper drivers of chronic illness—emotional dysregulation, nervous system imbalance, trauma, and environmental toxins. This episode dives deep into the body's hidden language, with moving real-life stories that reveal how unresolved emotions are stored in the fascia and how releasing them can unlock profound healing. From an infertility case that resolved after a single trauma-release session to the heartbreaking intersection of mold exposure, stress, and cancer, Julie and Dr. G explore why shame may be the “second-to-last boss” in healing—and how ancient Chinese medicine aligns with modern clinical insight. You'll also walk away with grounded, practical tools for daily life, including Dr. G's personal rituals for nervous system regulation, myofascial release, grounding, and energetic protection. Together, they explore curiosity as a gateway from fear to empowerment, why “meditating into the body” matters, and how aligning with circadian rhythms can restore balance. The conversation closes with a soul-stirring reflection on why we incarnate at all—inviting you to step into your healing journey with awareness, courage, and joy.Guest Biography:Dr. Christian Gonzalez, widely known as Dr. G, is a holistic physician specializing in integrative healing, nervous system regulation, and the emotional and spiritual roots of chronic illness. Bridging modern science with ancient wisdom, his work focuses on trauma-informed care, oncology support, and mind-body healing, grounded in the belief that the body is not broken—it's communicating. Through his signature Emotional Liberation Method (ELM), Dr. G helps individuals release stored trauma, restore nervous system balance, reconnect with their intuition, and access the body's innate intelligence for deep, lasting transformation, empowering people to become active participants in their own healing journey.Episode Chapters:(0:02:00) - The Myth of Giving Away Your Power(0:04:00) - Miracles: The Infertility Story(0:09:00) - The Emotional Component Behind Every Illness(0:11:00) - Why Healthy People Get Cancer(0:14:00) - The Whiteboard Moment: Stress and Toxins(0:17:00) - Christine's Story: Mold and Emotional Trauma(0:22:00) - Feeling Safe in Your Body and Environment(0:25:00) - The Power of Intuition in Healing(0:31:00) - Moving Beyond the Victim Mentality(0:35:00) - The Nervous System as a Spiritual Practice(0:40:00) - Shame: The Second to Last Boss(0:44:00) - Rebuilding Trust with Your Body(0:47:00) - Dr. G's Morning Rituals and Energy Protection(0:53:00) - Circadian Rhythm and Grounding(0:55:00) - Why We Incarnate➡️Subscribe to Ask Julie Ryan YouTube➡️Subscribe to Ask Julie Ryan Español YouTube➡️Subscribe to Ask Julie Ryan Português YouTube➡️Subscribe to Ask Julie Ryan Deutsch YouTube➡️Subscribe to Ask Julie Ryan Français YouTube✏️Ask Julie a Question!

Most mornings, we wake up and immediately impose our agenda on the day. To-do lists, productivity goals, anxiety about what we're behind on. We treat the day like a blank slate we need to fill with our plans. But what if days have their own character? What if a grey February morning asks something different from you than a bright July one? What if you can't actually plan well until you've listened to what's already happening? In this episode, you'll learn a simple morning practice: step outside, notice three things (weather, light, sound), and ask the day what it's asking of you, before you decide what you need from it.What you'll practice:Noticing what's actually present (weather, light, quality of air) without judgmentAsking "what does this day need?" instead of "what do I need to accomplish?"Listening with your whole body for the day's answerStarting your day in relationship rather than extractionPerfect for: Anyone who feels disconnected from their days, rushes through mornings on autopilot, struggles with rigid planning that doesn't account for how they actually feel, or wants to practice reciprocity with the world around them.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --All of the Magick:The A Pinch of Magick App:IPhone - download on the App StoreAndroid - download pn the Google PlayOur (free) Magickal Communities: Join UsMagickal JournalFive Minutes of Magick Amazon UKFive Minutes of Magick Amazon USWebsitewww.MagickalHabits.comInstagramFor Magick: Click hereFor a Sacred Pause in Nature: Click hereFor CharmCasting: Click hereFor Merlin my Dog: Click here

This week on The Wellness Scoop, we're digging into some of the biggest health stories shaping how we eat and live right now. We start with new data showing how weight-loss injections are quietly changing eating habits, with more people grazing on snacks instead of sitting down to meals, and what that could mean for nutrition, routine and long-term health. We then explore the idea of the “perfect” morning routine. Inspired by a Guardian piece we loved, we talk about why there's no one-size-fits-all formula, but how a handful of simple, repeatable habits can genuinely improve how the day begins without turning mornings into another thing to optimise. We also take on detox culture. Drawing on a grounded BBC article, we explain why your body already detoxes itself extremely effectively, what actually supports those systems, and why fibre is emerging as one of the most important nutrition conversations of the year. And we unpick the new US food guidelines for you. In this second series episode, Lisa continues to discuss her personal transformation, attributing her positive state to a consistent spiritual practice, including meditation and mindful exercise. She explores the importance of connecting with one's "higher self" to overcome social pressures and make authentic life choices. She addresses listeners who feel they lack time for self-care due to demanding schedules, urging them to audit their time and start with small, consistent steps. Lisa also announces a virtual mini-retreat and a significant shift in her business model.Topics Include:Self CareTime ManagementSpirituality Personal Growth[0:32] Lisa has an exciting announcement, especially for those who have never worked with her before, at the end of the episode. Lisa also announces that she is hosting a virtual mini-retreat, Befriending Your Body, on Wednesday, December 10,2026, at 6:00 p.m. for two hours for $10. She explains the format will be examining and re-writing foundational belief systems about the body that shape thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to food and body; cultivating harmony, peace, and cooperation with the body.[05:07] Lisa jumps into the second half of this series by explaining that she attributes her current positive state to her "non-negotiable, unfuckwithable" meditation practice. She explains that connecting with her "higher self" through meditation helps her disregard others' opinions and makes the social context of life feel less threatening. Lisa introduces a quote: "Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind, and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open." Lisa discusses how any exercise can become a mind-body practice if one intentionally connects the mind to the body and views exercise as a spiritual experience that opens the soul, noting her best ideas and epiphanies come during these moments of connection.[19:40] Lisa addresses listeners with kids and 9-to-5 jobs who feel they lack time for morning rituals, acknowledging her own privilege in creating a lifestyle with more free time. She shares an example of a friend with a full-time job and two kids who wakes up at 4 or 5 a.m. for her own sacred ritual. Lisa urges everyone to conduct an "honest inventory" of their time, questioning hours spent on passive activities like scrolling or watching TV. She stresses that a good morning starts the night before and that the key is to start with small "baby steps," like five minutes of meditation. Lisa emphasizes a commitment to self-care, which creates internal feelings of safety, worthiness, and acceptance.[29:25] Lisa discusses how by focusing on the mind-body connection, one can enter a "flow state" where the "higher self" receives guidance and clarity, unconcerned with external opinions. Lisa notes that clients who heal their relationship with food often develop stronger intuition, which is a natural result of reconnecting the mind and body and returning to one's "factory settings" of instinct and intuition.[41:40] Lisa wraps up the episode by announcing the upcoming changes to the Out of the Cave business model. She explains that the group coaching program is being discontinued to make space for a new one-on-one coaching offering. This change is driven by her desire to provide more individualized support for what is fundamentally a deep, spiritual healing journey. Lisa also teases that the next retreat at the Omega Institute will be offered in July 2026 with details to come later. *The views of podcast guests do not necessarily reflect the views and beliefs of Lisa Schlosberg or Out of the Cave, LLC.LISA IS NOW ACCEPTING: One-on-One Clients!Purchase the OOTC book of 50 Journal PromptsLeave Questions and Feedback for Lisa via OOTC Pod Feedback Form Email Lisa: lisa@lisaschlosberg.comOut of the Cave Merch - For 10% off use code SCHLOS10Lisa's Socials: Instagram Facebook YouTube

In the first episode of this series, Lisa shares her journey from skepticism to a deep spiritual awakening that transformed every part of her life. Rooted in childhood trauma and years of using food for comfort, Lisa's story unfolds into one of healing, discipline, and self-trust; culminating in a five-hour morning ritual fueled not by obligation, but genuine inspiration. She bridges science and spirituality to explore what it means to be “a spiritual being made of energy,” weaving in lessons from meditation retreats, loss, and her evolution as a coach. Topics Include:Spiritual Transformation and HealingTrauma, Loss, and Emotional CopingIntegration of Masculine and Feminine Energy Practical Pathways to Transformation[0:32] Lisa introduces this new episode as the first installment of a multi-part series. She explains that the topic grew too large for a single episode, leading to a series that could extend to four, five, six, or more parts. [04:29] Lisa describes her current state as "phenomenal," attributing it to a new, extensive morning routine and a profound spiritual awakening. This transformation was not sudden but the culmination of a lifelong journey of healing and personal development, which began with her birth in 1993. Lisa discusses significant personal traumas like how the death of her younger sister when she was five caused her to disconnect from spirituality, which was a deeper layer to her using food to cope. Lisa's spiritual awakening began in 2016 during a guided meditation where she connected with her "higher self" and had a profound realization that her past struggles with weight were a form of self-protection. Lisa talks about how father's death in 2018 and receiving a message from him through Caroline Lee Dewey accelerated her spiritual development, marking a clear "before and after" in her life. [33:54] Lisa discusses how her move from New York to California helped her to begin the balance of her masculine and feminine energies and become more spiritual. Lisa explains how her journey to become a yoga instructor helped on this journey to connect the two and how this journey has helped her in her move back to New York where she learned through her ancestry work is part of her heritage.[1:01:39] Lisa talks about how her epic morning ritual can last up to six hours. A cornerstone of this routine is meditation, which she describes as a non-negotiable practice for rewiring the brain. Lisa acknowledges that the initial experience can be extremely uncomfortable and emphasizes that consistent practice transformed it into a deeply grounding and essential experience. Lisa describes that the transformation went from intolerable to a cherished practice after months of daily effort. She advises that integrating such practices into a busy life is possible through intentional time management, such as waking up earlier and reducing time on distractions, starting with small, manageable steps. *The views of podcast guests do not necessarily reflect the views and beliefs of Lisa Schlosberg or Out of the Cave, LLC.Purchase the OOTC book of 50 Journal PromptsLeave Questions and Feedback for Lisa via OOTC Pod Feedback Form Email Lisa: lisa@lisaschlosberg.comOut of the Cave Merch - For 10% off use code SCHLOS10Lisa's Socials: Instagram Facebook YouTubeEmbracing Our Spiritual Journey: Insights on Morning Rituals and Self-Discovery

Fall is here, and I know firsthand how this season can feel like a reset button. On this episode of Raising Serotonin, I'm sharing why I believe right now is a great time to create rhythms and routines that actually work for you.I open up about my own journey with habits—how they've helped me manage anxiety, build self-trust, and navigate those seasons of uncertainty we all face. We'll dive into the science of habit formation, but more importantly, how to make those routines personal so they support your energy, mental health, and overall well-being.I'll also talk about the messy, real parts of trying new habits—why change can feel uncomfortable at first, and how leaning into that challenge is often the very thing that leads to growth and self-love.If you've been craving more peace, consistency, and confidence as you move through this season, this episode is your reminder that small, intentional habits can completely shift the way you show up for yourself.FOLLOW RAISING SEROTONIN ON INSTAGRAM HERE SIGN UP FOR THE FREE RAISING SEROTONIN NEWSLETTER HERE

Start Your Transformation Now An altar is a powerful tool to have. I've had one for 25 years and in this episode, I share the basics with you, how I use my altar and what I have on it. Having an altar can be as simple or as elaborate you wish, but more than anything it's a space for you to connect with the Divine, however, you define that in your life. The great thing about an altar is that you can collect tools for your altar that help you “receive more information,” gain clarity, find direction in life or simply put…help you get what you want in life. You might think this is a bunch of nonsense or it's crazy but even Oprah used to have an “altar” in her apartment that she visited every morning. “Altar” sounds like such a religious word, but it's not meant that way in this context. And, I mean if Oprah had one, and probably still does, there's probably something good about having one. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Your altar is your conduit to connect and communicate with the universe. Start Your Transformation Now Jim Rohn said, “Never start your day until you finish it on paper,” and I say, “Never start your day until you finish it in your mind”. I kept this episode short and simple and I talk about my morning routine. Most of us get “swept away” by the world the minute we open our eyes in the morning, and we lose ourselves in the world. In this episode I talk about:[3:12] How simple and powerful a morning routine can be[4:57] How I start my day[6:11] Where I start my day in my home[9:27] And, the power of setting your morning intent. I cannot stress enough the importance of setting your intent every morning and soon I'll follow up with an episode on the Power of Intention. Listen, apply, and enjoy!
