While a vast majority of Americans favored the establishment of a bi-partisan commission to investigate the January 6th Capital riot, the GOP is only interested in self-preservation. So the whitewash continues with Donald Trump and the usual suspects pumping out a counter narrative where, he not only won the election, but the activities of that day were peaceful and the agitators leftist radicals. If it sounds insane, that's because it is. But 73% of Republican voters polled believe that's the truth. Next, Michael looks at the Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene MAGA hate tour which they've billed the “America First Rally.” Should the GOP retake the House and Senate in 2022, this racist circus will be coming to an arena near you. The US Justice Department is nearing a decision on whether to charge the former FBI Director James Comey with perjury and has just days to do that. Sources familiar with the matter tell CNN that prosecutors are examining whether Comey made false statements to Congress during his 2020 testimony about his handling of the probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. The five-year statute of limitations on perjury charges is set to expire on Tuesday. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Neil and Amy are in for the vacatioining Bill Handel. Neil finds himself agreeing with Don Lemon's opinion (that's a first...) about the Charlie Kirk Memorial being about Christians claiming divine permission to rule, leading to commentary that explores the differences between politics and politicians, and the twisted role religion is starting to play in all of it. Also, by 2040, the majority of new US homeowners will be Hispanic. And LAX drops in global airport rankings, but the CEO believes in the future.

In this episode of The Wright Report, we cover Jimmy Kimmel's disputed return to television, a plot to disable New York City's cell network as Trump spoke at the UN, and fresh data showing who really commits the most political violence in America. From free speech battles to global threats and a debate over Left vs. Right violence, today's brief delivers facts and analysis shaping America's future. Jimmy Kimmel's Return and Free Speech Debate: Democrats celebrated Kimmel's return, calling his suspension “the worst government attack on free speech in generations.” CNN's Jake Tapper said it was “the most direct infringement by the government on free speech that I've seen in my lifetime.” But YouTube admitted Biden's White House pressured them to silence millions of Americans, including Charlie Kirk, proving censorship was far broader than Kimmel's case. Sinclair and Nexstar still refused to air Kimmel without an apology, sparking threats from Democrats to break up the networks. Trump Stuck on UN Escalator and Plots in New York: Security failures left Trump and the First Lady stranded on an escalator before his UN speech, followed by a mic and teleprompter outage. “What is the purpose of the United Nations? … A bad escalator and a bad teleprompter,” Trump quipped. Meanwhile, authorities uncovered a clandestine device network capable of shutting down NYC's cell service, calling it an “imminent threat” from foreign state actors. Trump's speech then blasted Venezuela's cartels, Europe's immigration and energy policies, Russia's war, and calls for Palestinian statehood — declaring of Europe, “Your countries are going to hell.” Left vs. Right Violence — Who Commits More: Listener Wendy asked who really drives political violence. The Atlantic reported on new CSIS data finding “this year — 2025 — marks the first time in more than 30 years that left-wing attacks outnumber those from the far right.” Bryan points to Antifa and Marxist groups as proof the Left's war is escalating, reminding listeners: “We live in a revolution. Their revolution. And if you disagree with them, you're to be targeted.” "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 Keywords: Jimmy Kimmel suspension FCC free speech, CNN Jake Tapper free speech quote, YouTube Biden censorship admission, Sinclair Nexstar Kimmel broadcast, Trump UN escalator teleprompter failure, NYC cell network plot foreign state actors, Trump UN speech Venezuela cartels, Trump Europe immigration climate hoax, Trump NATO shoot down Russia jets, Gaza Palestinian state recognition, Wendy listener question political violence, CSIS study left-wing terrorism rise, The Atlantic left-wing attacks 2025

A couple of technical issues prevented us from posting our usual Tuesday podcast. Instead, we are featuring the entire United Nations address by the President of the United States because the mainstream media whitewashes the President's ramble, lies, ignorance and narcissism. If you watch the evening newscasts, you'll see and hear a few seconds of Trump making a point. But we don't see and hear the absolute madness of what he says most of the time. We hope you will share this episode with friends and neighbors who do not yet understand what a threat he is to Americans and the world. If you'd rather watch the speech, than listen to it, you can do so here on YouTube: https://youtu.be/c_9kY6sz_Uc?si=AQ2B13T6cjpVS9cV or search “Trump UN full speech.” See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

In this hard-hitting episode, we break down the escalating crisis at ICE facilities across the United States, from Eugene and Portland to Dallas and New York. We explore how left-wing protests, allegedly coordinated with Democrat city leadership, are overwhelming federal agents, with police often standing down—and the deadly consequences that could follow. We also examine the broader immigration debate, including UN funding for migrant relocation, Trump's deportation efforts, and the Democrats' controversial policy priorities. Meanwhile, the media narrative—from CNN to Hollywood talk shows—fuels confusion, misinformation, and political theater. This episode is a deep dive into political strategy, law enforcement challenges, and the intersection of media, policy, and public safety, exposing how chaos at the border and in U.S. cities has become a flashpoint for national debate.

On May 8, 1970, “the Hard Hat Riot” erupted in lower Manhattan. At midday, construction workers, including those building the World Trade Center, violently clashed with students demonstrating against the Vietnam War. Workmen saw the protesting students as privileged “draft dodgers” disparaging the country and those who fought for it. On the other side, many student activists saw the workers as pawns, unwilling to see the changes that America needed. On this episode, host Michael Azevedo speaks with Marc Levin, the director of "Hard Hat Riot," a new documentary that will broadcast on PBS' American Experience on September 30 and be available online thereafter. "Hard Hat Riot" tells the story of a struggling metropolis (NYC), a flailing president (Nixon), a divided people, and a bloody juncture when the nation violently diverged ― culminating in a new political and cultural landscape that radically redefined American politics and foreshadowed the future. Marc Levin is an award-winning, independent filmmaker dedicated to telling powerful, real stories in a unique, authentic style. He has won four Emmys, four duPont-Columbia Awards, the Peabody Award, the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, and the Camera d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Highlights include: Slam, his breakout festival hit; Brick City, the groundbreaking docu-series about Newark, New Jersey's charismatic Mayor Cory Booker; Gang War: Bangin' in Little Rock; Emmy-winning Thug Life in DC for HBO; Chicagoland, a docu-series for CNN and Robert Redford's Sundance Productions, nominated for a 2014 IDA Award for Best Limited Series. Investigative journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell and attorney Eric Bland thought they would never read anything quite as horrible as the descriptions of Child Sexual Assault Material contained in former South Carolina Rep. RJ May's court records. But they were wrong. On Monday, the United States Government filed a brief arguing that Charleston County Judge — and South Carolina's latest elected official accused of being a pedophile — James B. “Skip” Gosnell should be kept behind bars until his trial because he is not only one count of possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. He is also being accused of admitting to some of the most unthinkable abuse on babies. Naturally, Mandy, Liz and Eric have questions … who are the legislators and lawyers who helped Judge Gosnell behind the scenes to help keep him on the stand for decades despite a long history of racist and ethically corrupt behavior? And is this just the beginning? Will more powerful men in South Carolina be exposed for pedophilia? ☕ Cups Up! ⚖️ Episode References “Charleston County Magistrate Charged with Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material” - U.S. Attorney's Office, District of South Carolina, Sept 16, 2025

We are just shy of two weeks since Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Charlie sought to dialogue with those who disagreed to prove him wrong. Those who hated him, hated him fiercely for his beliefs, both his conservative political beliefs, which flowed from his spiritual beliefs, but also his belief in Christianity and Jesus Christ. However, Charlie was not about riots and uprisings; he believed in dialogue. This was the very matter as you'll hear in an audio clip of Van Jones as he sat with Anderson Cooper to describe his relationship with Charlie Kirk last week on CNN. Next, Jim referenced a New York Post article that noted how some 200,000 people turned out to honor Charlie Kirk on Sunday, including President Trump, who called Charlie a "patriot who's heart still had so much to give." State Farm stadium had a capacity of 73,000 yet filled up within hours. Next up were members of President Trump's Administration who were not shy when talking about the spiritual impact of Charlie. This included audio clips from Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. While many Crosstalk listeners may have heard Erika Kirk's address, there are many who have not. Jim shared it in its entirety courtesy of TPUSA.com along with final comments from Christian apologist Frank Turek and Charlie's pastor, Rob McCoy.
President Trump is doing the very thing he accused President Biden of doing: weaponizing the Department of justice. There is no illusion of pulling strings behind the scenes either. Trump's demands that the DOJ prosecute his political enemies are blatant and public. Over the weekend, Trump posted on social media that he wanted to see justice served up in the form of criminal investigations into people like Senator Adam Schiff from California, New York Attorney General Letitia James and former FBI Director James Comey, writing that, "We can't delay any longer, it's killing our reputation and credibility." We will run it past our resident Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist, author David Cay JohnstonJacob Ward will swing by the show. He is a former reporter for CNN, NBC and Al Jazeera. Jacob currently hosts The Rip Current. It is Tech Tuesday and Jefferson Graham is in town this week. On Friday we learned that according to President Donald Trump, when coverage is negative, "It's no longer free speech." And it seems he's not alone. There's a growing sentiment within the Republican Party, which currently controls the White House and both Chambers of Congress, that actually, free speech doesn't apply if you say mean things about Republicans. This is all in regards to ABC pulling “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” from its usual spot in the nightly lineup, after FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said that Kimmel should face repercussions for comments regarding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. On this episode, we discuss why the suspension of a late-night talk show host isn't just about a late-night talk show host. It's about speech, and what you can, and apparently can't, say on television. To talk more about the media machinations that got Jimmy Kimmel pushed off the air, and the chilling effect of the FCC's implied threats, we spoke to Brian Stelter, media analyst for CNN. And in headlines, a federal judge in Florida tosses out Trump's $15-billion dollar defamation lawsuit against the New York Times, the United Kingdom, Australia, Portugal and Canada formally recognize a Palestinian state, and new H1-B applicants will have to pay an extra $100,000 fee for their visas.Show Notes:Check out Brian's recent story: https://www.cnn.com/2025/09/20/media/trump-kimmel-disney-bob-iger-abc-fccCall Congress – 202-224-3121Subscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/3kk4nyz8What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcastFollow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Many people feel caught in worry, fear, and constant striving—chasing achievements yet never feeling truly fulfilled. The restless “monkey mind” jumps from one thing to the next, amplifying stress and turning setbacks into heavy burdens. It doesn't have to be that way, though. You can move from mindless tasks to a mindful purpose. The shift begins by setting a clear, heartfelt intention rooted in something bigger. When the focus moves from self-gain to contribution, the right people, resources, and opportunities often begin to flow toward you. In this episode, Reverend Michael Beckwith, Lynne Twist, Jay Shetty, and I talk about how shifting from fear and self-focus to living with intention, surrender, daily spiritual practices, and a purpose larger than oneself can transform challenges into growth, bring deeper fulfillment, and open unexpected opportunities. For over 30 years now, Reverend Michael Beckwith has embraced a practical approach to spirituality and has helped people see the benefits of meditation, affirmative prayer, and life visioning, a process he originated. He has spoken at the United Nations, hosted conferences featuring some of the top thinkers and leaders in a variety of industries, and he is also the founder of the Global Association for New Thought. He is a teacher, a speaker, and the author of several books. He has shared his insights on a number of well-known television programs, such as Oprah's Super Soul Sunday, Dr. Oz, Larry King Live, CNN, Tavis Smiley, and others. Lynne Twist has spent over 40 years working with more than 100,000 people in 50 countries in the realms of fundraising with integrity, conscious philanthropy, strategic visioning, and cultivating a healthy relationship with money. A renowned author and speaker, she has presented at the United Nations Beijing Women's Conference, State of the World Forum, Synthesis Dialogues with Dalai Lama, and the Governor's Conference on California Women. Recognized as a global visionary, Lynne has advised the Desmond Tutu Foundation and the Nobel Women's Initiative. She co-founded the Pachamama Alliance, a nonprofit empowering Indigenous people of the Amazon rainforest to preserve their lands and culture. From serving with Mother Teresa in Calcutta to aiding refugee camps in Ethiopia and protecting the Amazon, her on-the-ground work has given her profound insight into the social fabric of the world and the defining challenges of our time. Jay Shetty is a storyteller, podcaster, and former monk. Jay's vision is to Make Wisdom Go Viral. He is on a mission to share the timeless wisdom of the world in an accessible, relevant, and practical way. Enten joked that the Democrats have become the New Orlean Saints of political parties—which bodes poorly for the party's hopes of taking the House of Representatives and/or Senate in 2026. 3:10pm- On Sunday, Republican Jack Ciattarelli and Democrat Mikie Sherrill held their first NJ Gubernatorial debate at Rider University. During one notable moment, Sherrill refused to pledge that she wouldn't raise taxes on New Jersey citizens. One new poll now has Ciattarelli leading by 1-point. 3:30pm- During Sunday's debate, Mikie Sherrill attempted to explain why she voted in favor of a bipartisan House resolution honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk—but publicly denounced Kirk, lying about his past comments and baselessly claiming he wanted to” roll back the rights of women and Black people.” Sherrill was unable to answer when confronted with her inconsistencies and falsehoods. 3:40pm- On Sunday, a memorial service for Charlie Kirk was held in Glendale, Arizona—with 73,000 inside of State Farm Stadium and an estimated 200,000 people in total showing up to the event. In a powerful moment during the ceremony, Erika Kirk said she forgives her husband's accused killer. 3:50pm- During her Monday briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that President Donald Trump plans to sign an Executive Order designating Antifa as a terrorist organization.
