Day 1,586.Today, as Vladimir Putin continues to make grossly exaggerated claims about Russia's gains on the battlefield, we assess the latest military progress of both sides, before looking at the long-delayed and controversial defence investment plan finally announced by the British. More money for drones, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence: but does it go far enough, and how close is London to hitting the 5% NATO target demanded by President Donald Trump? Then we hear what the citizens of Kyiv think about Ukraine being on the pathway to membership of the European Union, and report on a manhunt underway in southern France after a parcel bomb exploded at a residential building in neighbouring Monaco, injuring wealthy Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolaiev.Contributors:Francis Dearnley (Host on Ukraine: The Latest). @FrancisDearnley on X.Dominic Nicholls (Host on Ukraine: The Latest). @DomNicholls on X.James Crisp (Telegraph's Europe Editor). @JamesCrisp6 on X.Antonia Langford (Freelance Journalist in Kyiv). @Antonialford on XProducer: Phil AtkinsSenior Producer: Lilian FawcettVideo Producer: Sophie O'SullivanSocial Producer: Gabby ColvinStudio Director: Meghan SearleExecutive Editor: Francis DearnleyCreated by David KnowlesNOW IN FULL VIDEO WITH MAPS & BATTLEFIELD FOOTAGE:Every episode is now available on our YouTube channel shortly after the release of the audio version. In this Monday Headline Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan breaks down the near-collapse of the Trump Iran Peace Deal as Tehran pulls out of negotiations, announces its intent to pursue a nuclear weapon, and reasserts control over the Strait of Hormuz through drone strikes and missile exchanges with US forces. With the Middle East on edge, Bryan also covers a historic framework peace agreement signed between Lebanon and Israel, both united in pushing Iran and Hezbollah out of the region, while Hezbollah vows civil war in response. On the home front, Bryan tracks the widening civil war inside the Democrat Party as avowed Marxists rack up electoral wins and party leadership fractures over how to respond, with Trump calling it the most serious threat to the country in 250 years. Bryan also addresses a Washington Post analysis finding that AI chatbots carry political bias and should not be used as fact-checkers. Plus, Ukraine's drones pound Russian refineries and infrastructure in what Kyiv calls "Ukraine's sanctions," Germany's military recruitment disaster forces a reckoning with mandatory service, and Texas researchers find a promising gut bacteria connection for lupus patients. “I don't want to give any lessons to British people, and it's difficult for us to receive lessons from outside, because nobody is able to give lessons to others... But we also have to take into account what happens around us in Europe, Russia and Ukraine, and outside the world in the Middle East. The world is more and more dangerous, unstable and fragile - and in facing this world, we need to be together.”Katya Adler speaks to Michel Barnier who served as the EU's chief Brexit negotiator, on the 10th anniversary of the highly consequential referendum. On 23 June 2016, the British public went to the polls to decide its future with the European Union. An unusually high number of people voted, and by 52% to 48%, the decision was to leave the bloc.Barnier, then a European Commissioner who had served as a minister in a number of French governments, represented the EU at negotiations to help agree the terms of the UK's departure and future relationship. It was a long, hard process, with the UK seeing three different prime ministers from 10 Downing Street before formally leaving the Union in January 2020.Monsieur Barnier reflects on the UK's decision and how both European and international politics have changed since. “Retro food” can mean different things to different people. For today's kids, it's the Jell-O Pudding Pops and vintage Pizza Huts of their parents' childhood. For Bobby Hicks, retro means tuna noodle casserole, chicken Kiev and gelatin rainbow cake—the food of his parents' and grandparents' heyday. But retro recipes are more than a list of ingredients. They're a feeling. During the pandemic, Hicks shared this nostalgia with a growing number of social media followers who watched him make these sentimental dishes, providing a much-needed sense of comfort. And now he's captured that feeling in a new cookbook. It's called Retro Recipes: Vintage Dishes with a Modern Twist. We caught up with Hicks, who grew up on a farm in Central Florida and now lives in South Florida. In this conversation, the content creator and self-taught private chef discusses how to modernize retro meals for the 21st century, staples of a vintage kitchen and which recipes should stay in the past.Want to hear more from Bobby? Silicon Bites SW26-217 | 2026-06-24 | Zelensky stops asking Lukashenko to stay out of the war — and starts counting down to the moment Ukraine removes the equipment Russia has placed on their territory to harm Ukraine, for him. He has been warned, but this warning also demonstrates a more muscular and confident approach from Ukraine. They are they only one globally who have shown the will and capacity to constrain and contain Russia and deliver consequences for its aggression. There is a clock counting down in Minsk now. It started on Friday. For four years and four months, the West has treated Alexander Lukashenko as a bystander to this war. A nervous neighbour. A man who lent Putin his territory once, in February 2022, watched the missiles fly out of his own country into Ukrainian apartment blocks, and then phoned Kyiv to apologise and explain it wasn't really his fault. The bystander narrative has been very convenient — for Lukashenko, for Moscow, and for every Western capital that would rather not think about NATO's longest land border with a hostile state, a willing puppet of the Kremlin's ambitions. ----------ACTIVE CAMPAIGN:We are raising funds for 5 of 15 Vampire DronesSilicon Curtain for Kupiansk Vampires. According to Zelenskyy, the main target was Kyiv. There were deaths and injuries because of the attack. Numerous architectural monuments were damaged, including the Kyiv Opera, the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the Contracts House, the Ukrainian National Chornobyl Museum, and others. How did it come to this, when Kyiv was supposed to fall in 3 days? No sirens, no shelters, no truth: why the Russian state no longer protects its own people, why the Z-bloggers are being forced to cover it up.On the morning of Thursday 18 June 2026, approximately 200 Ukrainian drones entered Russian airspace heading for Moscow. The Russian capital has the most concentrated, most layered, most expensive air-defence architecture in the world — A-135M, S-400, S-300PM2, Pantsir-S1, Tor-M2, with Pantsirs mounted on the roofs of the Foreign and Defence Ministry buildings in the city centre. While the world's attention has been fixed on the war in Iran, the battlefield in Ukraine has largely shifted in Kyiv's favor. ISW's George Barros joins us to explain how Ukrainian innovations in drone warfare, logistics, and battlefield technology have slowed Russia's advance, increased Russian casualties, and created new opportunities for Ukrainian counterattacks. These developments are especially meaningful for future peace negotiations, as Russia's strategy is showing signs of severe strain. Putin's wartime claims and demands have become even more ridiculous as Ukraine strikes deeper into Russian territory. Ukraine's wartime innovations are already helping protect American forces around the world as they reshape the future of warfare in real time. Free democracies like Ukraine tend to outpace their adversaries in innovation, and the United States should do more to friend-shore critical industries and pursue military industrial cooperation to our mutual benefit.George Barros is the Director of Innovation and Open Source Tradecraft at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), previously led ISW's Russia Team and founded ISW GEOINT Team and has served as a policy advisor on Ukraine and Russia for a U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee member. UKRAINIAN DRONE ATTACK STRIKES PETROLEUM INFRASTRUCTURE IN MOSCOW.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Middle East: Last night President Trump and President Pezeshkian signed the Memorandum of Understanding to start the process of ending the war. The agreement was signed early, while President Trump was participating in a state dinner with President Macron in Versailles. Two different physical copies of the document were signed, one in English and one in the Persian language of Farsi. Analyst Comment: President Pezeshkian also signed the document on camera in Tehran, and provided scans of the document he signed, and so far the terms themselves are identical to what was disclosed by CNN yesterday, or at least they appear to be. The American copy of the deal has not yet been published by the White House.Strait of Hormuz: This afternoon CENTCOM announced the lifting of the American blockade, and some merchant traffic is moving, with one French LNG tanker, and a few Saudi tankers exiting the Strait overnight. A few dozen other ships have continued to enter/exit the Persian Gulf over the past few days (mostly local or Iranian-aligned traffic), and all shipping has so far used the new Iranian route to the north of the traditional traffic separation scheme.Russia: Overnight, Ukraine conducted a large scale drone attack on Moscow, targeting petroleum infrastructure. Ukraine conducted the attack with hundreds of long-range drones, with most being intercepted before reaching their targets. However, several drones successfully evaded air defenses, striking the Kapotnya Refinery to the southeast of the city.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: The strikes in Moscow are the latest escalation this fighting season, with both sides trading attacks on major cities over the past few months. Russia has been hitting Kiev with hundreds of drones each week, and Ukraine has likewise been targeting Russian oil infrastructure throughout the nation. This is no different than how the war has been fought so far, but at this late hour, the ferocity of the efforts on all sides has become intense. Both sides seek to make as much progress as possible before winter, with the Russians looking to continue their advances on the Eastern Front, while the Ukrainians want to strike deep into Russia to pressure the Russian population and economy. Time will tell how this develops over the next few weeks, but with alleged peace ideations being present on both sides of this conflict, both sides will continue tradition, and try to take ground before approaching the negotiating table once again.Analyst: S2A1 Research: https://publish.obsidian.md/s2underground Disclaimer: No LLMs were used in the writing of this report. //END REPORT//

Vadim Voss, founder of Next Level DeFi, joins the Breakfast Leadership Show to share how everyday people can put their money to work through decentralized finance without trading, without chart-watching, and without being a tech expert. His mission is to help one million people break free from a banking system that was never built to serve them. What You Will Learn Why a savings account earning 2 to 3 percent is quietly losing you money What liquidity mining is and why it puts you on the "house side" of crypto trading How stablecoins like USDT allow you to earn 20 to 30 percent annually with minimal risk Why DeFi positions can be insured for as little as $30 per month per $10,000 deployed How Vadim's students manage their positions in just 5 to 10 minutes per week Why diversification across real estate, gold, stocks, and DeFi is the smart path forward Key Insights Vadim built Next Level DeFi after losing the majority of a $6 million fortune to unreliable foreign banks. Rather than retreat from finance, he learned decentralized systems inside and out and now teaches total beginners how to become the infrastructure that crypto traders rely on. His students are not speculating on the next hot coin. They are providing liquidity to decentralized exchanges and collecting fees the way Robinhood collects trading fees, except those fees flow back to them. The stablecoin liquidity mining strategy Vadim teaches is designed for people who want consistent, predictable monthly income in U.S. dollars without exposure to volatile assets. Since stablecoins are always pegged to $1, the principal does not fluctuate. Returns in the 20 to 30 percent range significantly outperform any traditional bank product, and the addition of smart contract insurance from platforms like Nexus Mutual makes the position arguably safer than a standard FDIC-insured deposit in terms of the user's control and transparency. Michael and Vadim both reinforce that education is the true entry point. Just as Warren Buffett observed that those who do not learn to make money while they sleep will work until they die, both host and guest emphasize that passive income is not a luxury for the wealthy. It is a learnable skill available to anyone willing to invest the time to understand it. Guest Bio Vadim Voss is the founder of Next Level DeFi, a platform dedicated to helping everyday people generate passive income through decentralized finance. An NYU graduate who built and lost a $6 million fortune through international business ventures across Lithuania, Moscow, and Kyiv, Vadim turned adversity into expertise. With over 14 years of experience in crypto and DeFi, he specializes in teaching total beginners how to deploy capital using liquidity mining strategies on platforms like Uniswap. His mission is to help one million people escape the traditional banking system. Free Resource for Listeners Vadim has put together an exclusive bundle for Breakfast Leadership Show listeners called the DeFi Income Blueprint, available free at: nextleveldefi.com/leadership The bundle includes: A DeFi Income Calculator that forecasts your monthly and annual returns based on your capital and risk appetite The Uniswap Ultimate Playbook, a 27-page step-by-step guide to deploying capital on Uniswap. Episode 114 opens with a War Room clash: Rabbi Wallachie acknowledges that US and Israeli interests are diverging, but Ghost steps in to correct his claim that Hezbollah is simply the Iranian army, walking through its actual origins as a resistance movement. From there, Ghost breaks down a heated Bannon segment where Wallachie denies any Greater Israel expansion plan, a claim Ghost dismantles using Ben Gavir's own statements about expelling Lebanese civilians. At the G7 in France, Trump publicly criticizes Israel's conduct in Lebanon, suggests Syria's Jelani take over the Hezbollah fight, and reveals he was angry about the Beirut strike hours before the Iran deal was finalized. Ghost digs into the Strait of Hormuz numbers discrepancy between CENTCOM's leaked count and Bloomberg's tracker data, and explains why Trump is withholding the full 14 point memorandum until Friday. Putin and Trump's hour long birthday call gets coverage alongside Lukashenko's bombshell claim that the Vatican and Naftali Bennett deceived Putin into pulling back from Kyiv in 2022. The episode closes with Israel's political fallout: Lapid calling Netanyahu's handling an absolute failure, Smotrich and Katz refusing to be bound by the deal, and American Jewish leaders demanding the text be made public.

SCHEDULE JBS, 6-15-20262006 MOLDOVABill Roggio discusses a rumored memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran. Roggio expresses skepticism, noting that while the Strait of Hormuz may reopen, the deal fails to address Iran's nuclear program or its support for regional proxies like Hezbollah. (1)Bill Roggio highlights that the ceasefire is a return to the status quo from February. He argues that the military was restrained from finishing the job and doubts the Iranian people's willingness to overthrow the regime. Meanwhile, Hezbollah remains active in southern Lebanon. (2)Ernesto Araújo and Alejandro Peña Esclusa report that in Peru, Keiko Fujimori leads the presidential race, signaling a "blue wave" against narco-socialism. This shift reinforces regional efforts like the Shield of the Americas. Meanwhile, Bolivia faces a "slow-motion coup" by narco-terrorists, which Brazilian President Lula da Silva has largely ignored. (3)Ernesto Araújo and Alejandro Peña Esclusa describe how U.S. forces killed drug lord "El Niño Guerrero" with a drone strike inside Venezuela, signaling a transition and military cooperation against the Tren de Aragua cartel. This action pressures regional leaders and criminal gangs, potentially leading to pro-democratic elections and increased American investment. (4)Bill Roggio warns that Sunni jihadists remain a background threat while the West focuses on Iran. Groups like al-Qaedaand ISIS are gaining ground in Africa and Afghanistan, aiming to establish emirates. Pakistan also faces instability as the Taliban provides safe havens for militants. (5)Ahmad Sharawi discusses President Trump's suggestion of using the Syrian army to conduct strikes against Hezbollahin eastern Lebanon. This "creative solution" aims to disarm the proxy without using the IDF. However, experts warn this could cause a "rally around the flag" effect and increase sectarian tensions. (6)Piero Tozzi and Gordon Chang discuss KMT official Jen Wen, who visited the U.S. to bolster her credentials but faced criticism for meeting individuals linked to the Communist Party. The visit highlighted debates over drone supply chains, as the U.S. encourages "non-red" technology to counter Chinese influence. (7)Fraser Howie and Gordon Chang describe the Iran deal as a "repackaging of failure" and a humiliation for America. Markets are experiencing a relief rally due to AI and stabilizing oil prices, but fail to price in geopolitical damage. Allies now view the U.S. as an unreliable partner. (8)John Hardie reports that Russia launched a massive barrage of 70 missiles and 600 drones against Kyiv, damaging a historic monastery. Simultaneously, Ukraine is conducting a "logistics lockdown" campaign to isolate Crimea by striking fuel convoys and bridges. Despite Russian gains near Kostiantynivka, Ukraine's manpower reforms are improving battlefield stability. (9)John Hardie notes that Jared Kushner and U.S. envoys have frequently visited Moscow to negotiate an end to the Ukraine conflict. Putin uses phone calls to flatter Trump and promote the idea that Russia is dominating the battlefield. The administration pressures Ukraine to concede Donbas, despite the military defense holding. (10)David Daoud explains that reports of an upcoming memo of understanding between the U.S. and Iran are contradicted by Israel's refusal to leave Lebanon. Iran aims to save Hezbollah, its most critical asset, while the U.S. seeks a modus vivendi with the regime at almost any cost. (11)David Daoud describes a ceasefire deal requiring Hezbollah to withdraw north of the Litani River as "magical thinking" since the fighters are locals. While the IDF faces manpower limitations, Washington continues to pressure Prime Minister Netanyahu to accept a withdrawal regardless of Israeli security concerns. (12)Bridget Toomey notes that despite the U.S.-Iran memo of understanding, the Houthis remain a threat, recently firing a drone at Eilat. The group maintains autonomy and does not feel bound by ceasefires. They continue to ban Israelimaritime navigation in the Red Sea, aiming for economic and psychological damage. (13)Samuel Ben-Ur explains that the IDF controls 64% of Gaza, but Hamas remains in control of the remaining civilian population through torture and executions. The group refuses to disarm, as their existence is predicated on destroying Israel. Despite the elimination of top leaders, the organization's decentralized structure allows survival. (14)Edmund Fitton-Brown explains that a memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed in Geneva, focusing on freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The deal includes a 60-day ceasefire but leaves critical issues like the nuclear file for later. Skeptics warn of secret annexes and deceptive Iranian propaganda. (15)Edmund Fitton-Brown notes that Russia and China view a ceasefire as beneficial for weakening U.S. influence and entrenching Iranian power. Experts argue the Islamic Republic will never negotiate away its revolutionary pillars, including its militias and nuclear shield. The deal provides a rest period for Iran to rearm for future assaults. (16)Three name corrections: John Hardy → John Hardie (9, 10) Bridget Tumi → Bridget Toomey (13) Samuel Bener → Samuel Ben-Ur (14)

Silicon Bites Ep352 | 2026-06-16 | This is the doctrine. The doctrine is the Empire of Savages. Savagery in this analytical frame is not the absence of values. Savagery is the active deployment of an alternative value system that treats the protections of international humanitarian law, the heritage of pluralistic civilisation, the existence of the autonomous nation, and the sanctity of religious and cultural sites as enemy property to be destroyed. The Russian state has not failed to understand the laws of war. The Russian state has rejected them — actively, doctrinally, and operationally — in favour of an alternative imperial framework that celebrates the destruction of pluralistic heritage as the restoration of properly-Russian civilisational primacy. It is still a crime. The vertical mindset— the vertikal, the Russian-imperial framework of centralised authoritarian rule under a single sovereign — is the political-structural correlate of this doctrinal framework. In the vertical mindset, values do not exist as independent constraints on power. Values exist only insofar as they serve the sovereign's project. Ukrainian democracy, Ukrainian pluralism, Ukrainian European-civilisational orientation are, in this framework, not alternative legitimate value systems. They are contempt-worthy errors that the sovereign's project is justified in correcting through violence. The Russian state's contempt for Ukraine — visible in every speech, every targeting decision, every cultural-heritage strike — is operationally informed by the perceived inferiority of pluralistic-democratic values of the West and Ukraine compared to the vertical-imperial framework.----------SUPPORT THE CHANNEL:https://www.buymeacoffee.com/siliconcurtainhttps://www.patreon.com/siliconcurtainhttps://www.gofundme.com/f/scaling-up-campaign-to-fight-authoritarian-disinformation----------SILICON CURTAIN LIVE EVENTS - FUNDRAISER CAMPAIGN Events in 2025 - Advocacy for a Ukrainian victory with Silicon Curtainhttps://buymeacoffee.com/siliconcurtain/extrasOur events of the first half of the year in Lviv, Kyiv and Odesa were a huge success. In this episode of The President's Daily Brief: Three Indian sailors are dead after U.S. forces struck a commercial tanker in the Gulf of Oman, marking the first reported fatalities tied to Washington's blockade of Iran. We'll explain what happened, why India is demanding answers, and how the incident could complicate one of America's most important strategic relationships. Ukraine may have found a cheaper way to defend its skies. We'll look at a new homegrown interceptor missile that costs less than a quarter of a Patriot round and could help Kyiv counter Russian missile attacks at a fraction of the cost. Five months after the fall of Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela is rapidly dismantling the symbols of his rule. We'll examine how the former dictator is being erased from public life and what it says about the country's post-Maduro future. In today's Back of the Brief, the House rejects a last-minute effort to extend a controversial surveillance authority, putting the future of a key U.S. intelligence tool in doubt.  To listen to the show ad-free, become a premium member of The President's Daily Brief by visiting https://PDBPremium.com.
