When the Silicon Valley Bank crisis erupted in early 2023, Larry Roseman was already well-acquainted with market upheaval. A member of the CFO class appointed around 2020—just as the pandemic began—Roseman had weathered previous storms. He began his career amid the dot-com collapse, then advanced through the 2008 financial crisis. “Scar tissue helps,” he tells us.So when he landed in Palm Springs for a tennis tournament and learned SVB was in freefall—taking all of Thumbtack's cash with it—his weekend plans were immediately sidelined. “Literally getting on the plane and landing, and the whole thing sort of blowing up,” Roseman recalls. “I was holed up in the hotel room for days,” working through how to ensure payroll and access to capital.That crisis became a defining moment. “That was the catalyst for us,” he tells us. Roseman used it to pivot the business away from growth-at-all-costs and toward sustainable, profitable growth. In just a few years, Thumbtack went from -$60 million in EBITDA to +$60 million.His ability to adapt comes from a varied career path—public accounting at Ernst & Young, investment banking at Bear Stearns and JPMorgan, and operational finance at eBay, where he helped spin off PayPal. In other words, claiming that you got peace in a war you started and lied about is a masterclass in gaslighting and deception Then, to further claim to claim that a staggered ceasefire is an absolute cease-fire, when a staggered cease-fire is informal, and not an armistice ceasefire. Peace or not, this is an important little detail, because multiple cease-fires that Trump worked out between Israel and what we call Hamas have been broken by Israel. The same types of cease-fires were broken under the Biden ministration as well by Israel. They are creating Biblical prophecy to strip Muslims and Christians of their faith.”It all fits in to the manufactured prophecy about peace, and the belief that Mariam Adelson, who gave Trump $100 million, has that Trump is the “savior” of the Jewish people.MAGA does not get to be this absolutely wrong, and then still claim to be the party of peace and America. You cannot start a war, deny that it is a war, then claim you ended a war you started with a fake ceasefire and fake peace. Particularly because even if we could all agree on why Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, the reasoning for the attack was based on a computer algorithm, not actual intelligence. Though Trump took to social media yesterday touting a “complete and total ceasefire” between Israel and Iran, both countries say nothing is official.  Iran's foreign minister says there is no ‘agreement' on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations,” but as long as Israel stops “illegal aggression,” Iran has no intention to continue responding.
