Big Block of Cheese Day is Andrew Jackson's sole contribution to society. (Apologies in advance, but Donald's microphone had an issue until the end of New Business. It was dealt with from there, and the persons responsible were promptly sacked.) A quick episode gets a quick turnaround on Nintendo Free Radio, as we keep it all about the games. Donald takes the lead in New Business with the biggest game of the day, Dragon Quest VII. Will it win Best Remake by default, or is an hour and a half too long to wait for a slime to approach? Donald has also acquired a Xbox 360, so we hammer through some game library suggestions for those who are a decade late to the party, before ending on Noitu Love: Devolution. Stephen has been playing SteamWorld Tower Defense to get ready for the upcoming Wii U version of Heist, and he finds it a tad irritating. As a result, he jumps to join Austen in a massive post-update round of Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 (100% K-Log free). Austen has a quick collection of smaller downloads and disc games including Bioshock Even More HD, a game that will probably get someone sued when it hits the Vita, and PacMan Championship Edition 2. A brief Whatcha Watchin' covers a couple of chron-gaming projects and Star Wars Rebels before we dip into the West Wing for the feature. Yep, it's the return of the two-ton block of cheese, with nutball groups including TGS, the lack of an NX announcement, and a company apparently interested in killing itself. The Mushrooms are heavy on the Poison side, nut we do come up with a 1up at the end. Then they talk circles around Matt's NHL story, Batman's delay, Quake's new level, Criterion's detour, Watch Dogs 2's towers, Oculus Rift's openness, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2, Sweeney vs Microsoft round 2... hundred, and Vivendi vs Ubisoft round 20.1.

Selbstredend, dass auch Bosse auf Euch warten, die besonders viele Schüsse vertragen und dass sich die Punkte- und Goldleiste schneller füllt, wenn Ihr die Schüsse perfekt timt. «Pac-Man» war eines der ersten Games im App Store, kein Wunder also, dass auch auf Apple TV ein Game der gelben, Pillen mampfenden Pampelmuse erscheint. Und was für eines! Die «Championship Edition DX» warten mit richtig coolen Layouts und Pro- sowie Antagonisten-Designs (beispielsweise «Pac-Mania»-Stil) auf. Und die Spielmodi sind eine Revolution des Originals. Die taktische Spielentwicklung im Punkte-, Zeitangriff und Geisterkombo-Modus ist vielseitig und extrem spassig. Kurzum: Ein süchtig machender Arcade-Knaller. Das Trio schliesst «Sky Force» ab. Das vertikale Shoot'em Up glänzt mit wundervoller Optik, tollem Aufrüstungs-System des Schiffes sowie einem reibungslos funktionierendem, sehr motivierendem Zweispieler-Modus (Items und Aufrüstung wird geteilt). Die neun Levels spielen sich dank dem Aufrüsten stets dezent anders und die langsamen, fast schon hypnotischen Gegnerschüsse sowie das Scoring-System mit 1ner-Punktzahlen erinnert an selige Amiga-Zeiten. Whether it's Microsoft having to publicly justify the $10 price tag of Pac-Man Championship Edition and explain the reason why Shadowrun on 360 is $10 more than it is on PC, or news the Sony is "studying" PS3 price cuts...the price of gaming is a big topic of discussion these days. To celebrate the release of Tomb Raider Anniversary (or, depending on who you ask, Pac-Man Championship Edition) the boys tackle the topic of retro remakes this week. Do we like �em? Do we hate �em?
