What if your Intuition was leading down a path of what to say "yes" to? What to create next? And what if you could actually build a BUSINESS from that place of knowing? If you've been tuning into the newer season of Boss Goddess, then you may have noticed an emphasis on leveraging Intuition when it comes to business. When we can tap into that truth that we already have within us - that can guide us in our decision making and can inform us on what feels best for US to pursue on a big level and also with smaller decisions that we encounter through out the day - we gain access to a powerful way to navigate our lives. My guest today, has done just that. She has created a beautiful business infused with this message to honor yourself in your truth, as you are, in all of your being. Which is to no surprise because once you hear her story in how this business was brought to life, and how it unfolded, you'll see how organic creating something from that intuitive connection can be. Her name is Makuyo, and her brand is called SIIKA Herb + Honey Co. where she primarily creates herbal-infused honeys. She shares that the vision for SIIKA Herb + Honey Co. was given to her while in Ghana in December 2021. Makuyo envisioned her brand to be able to merge the seemingly divergent domains of the feminine spirit and luxury—revealing their shared depth and richness.Desiring to harmonize her own professional and personal passions, she created a brand encompassing her journey as a businesswoman with her experiences in holistic health, herbalism and yoga.Makuyo shares that "she believes that in a world of influence and imitation, women can be both goddesses and go-getters, building their lives and careers on their own terms".The brand's mission is to unite holistic health and feminine sensuality with self care. The carefully curated infusions in every SIIKA Herb + Honey Co. product are created to nourish and nurture the body, mind, and spirit. If you're wondering how to make more space for your own intuition to speak a little louder and guide you a little more often towards decisions that are in alignment with WHO you are in both business and in life, Makuyo shares how she cultivated her practice of intuitive connection and self-awareness and how it led to guiding her to creating her brand SIIKA Honey + Herb Co. Be sure to listen all the way to end for some guidance from Makuyo on how YOU can get started with your own intuitive practice or deepen or reconnect with the one you already have.In this episode, you'll learn:How to determine the difference between fear and intuitionThe role the subconscious mind plays in our belief-systemLearning how intuition speaks to you through your emotions and bodyHow to leverage your intuition to create and navigate a businessLinks:Activate Your Passion with Podcasting Soirée En Blanc - L.A Event Use code BGP10 for 10% off your tix for the Soirée En Blanc event in Los Angeles on June 27th, 2025.IG:@boss_goddess.co IG:@bossgoddessbarsi Pinterest: @bossgoddessbarsi Visit: https://www.boss-goddess.co More from Makuyo:Follow: @siikaherbandhoneyco on Youtube, Pinterest, Instagram & FacebookCelebrated for her intuitive approach to wellness, Makuyo envisioned a brand that merges the seemingly divergent domains of the feminine spirit and luxury—revealing their shared depth and richness.Desiring to harmonize her own professional...

Happy Satiated Saturday! Intuition has been fascinating for me. I first started getting into the mind-body connection through practicing and learning about yoga and yoga philosophy. In yoga classes, I would often hear teachers talking about trusting your intuition. To be guided by your intuition. But, what I rarely heard was descriptions of how do you know something is intuition. Is what you're feeling intuition or fear? The more I learned about somatic work, the more I started to question the experience of intuition and where it comes from. When I finally discovered that intuitive processes are correlated with the activation of a part of the prefrontal cortex, called the orbitofrontal cortex, and that this part of your brain is diminished in activity after experience childhood trauma, I began to piece together that intuition is not something that everyone may easily be able to tap into based on their history. In this week's episode, I chat with Katie Beecher, Licensed Professional Counselor and Medical and Emotional Intuitive, about: The difference between intuition and fearPractices to strengthen your intuitionThe healing power of movement and artEmbracing your sensitivitiesImportant factors to include in your food recovery journeyYou can also read the transcript to this week's episode here: https://www.stephaniemara.com/blog/discover-your-inner-wisdomWith Compassion and Empathy, Stephanie Mara FoxKeep in touch with Katie: Website: https://katiebeecher.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/katiebeecher_medical_intuitive/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/beechermedicalintuitiveSupport the showKeep in touch with Stephanie Mara:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_stephaniemara/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephaniemarafoxWebsite: https://www.stephaniemara.com/https://www.somaticeating.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephmara/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stephaniemarafoxContact: support@stephaniemara.comSupport the show:Become a supporter: https://www.buzzsprout.com/809987/supportMy favorite water filter: https://www.pureeffectfilters.com/#a_aid=somaticeatingReceive 15% off my fave protein powder with code STEPHANIEMARA at checkout here: https://www.equipfoods.com/STEPHANIEMARAUse my Amazon Affiliate link when shopping on Amazon: https://amzn.to/448IyPl Special thanks to Bendsound for the music in this episode. ...

About Dan Tocchini:Dan Tocchini has been helping leaders bring some magic to their teams for over 35 years. He has worked with executive teams from Interstate Batteries and ESPN, to Smarty Pants Vitamins and Impulse Space, as well as with non-profits like Homeboy Industries and Defy Ventures. Dan gives a no-fluff approach by helping transform leadership teams without any pixie dust - just courageous leadership, creative conflict resolution, and relevant restructuring. No conversation is too difficult, and no situation too conflicted because a leader with a vision cannot be held hostage by circumstance or history. In this episode, Dean Newlund and Dan Tocchini discuss:The impact of language, perception, and intuition on business cultures and crisesThe distinctions between wisdom and intuitionThe training of the mind for better leadershipThe transformative journey from victimization to empowermentThe responsibility of leaders to inspire and support their teams through challenges and the necessary paradigm shifts for meaningful change Key Takeaways:Language and perception significantly shape decision-making, highlighting the transformative influence a well-crafted vision has on leadership effectiveness.Valuing intuitive thinking alongside analytical reasoning becomes increasingly important, particularly in crisis situations where conventional logic might fall short.Understanding the nuances between wisdom and intuition is imperative for leaders, as this insight guides executive decisions and strategic direction.Intuition enhancement within an organization's leadership can be achieved through specialized training that focuses on conflict monitoring, emotional processing, and bodily awareness, leading to more adept and conscious decision-making.Personal accountability and facing one's challenges are vital steps in leadership development, with a focus on embracing subconscious reactions and harnessing the power of language to transform present behavior and inspire team motivation. "A leader with a vision cannot be held hostage by circumstance or history.” — Dan Tocchini Connect with Dan Tocchini:  Website URL: https://takenewground.com/https://wearerevenant.com/  Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-naked-leadership-podcast/id1495058489Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/73ZuLDaxdfhCNYXlmIQy01?si=9a5b25f227f64ae1Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dan_tocchini/?hl=enLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dantocchini   See Dean's TedTalk “Why Business Needs Intuition” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEq9IYvgV7I Connect with Dean:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgqRK8GC8jBIFYPmECUCMkwWebsite: https://www.mfileadership.com/The Mission Statement E-Newsletter: https://www.mfileadership.com/blog/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/deannewlund/X (Twitter): https://twitter.com/deannewlundFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/MissionFacilitators/Email: dean.newlund@mfileadership.comPhone: 1-800-926-7370 Show notes by Podcastologist: Hanz Jimuel AlvarezAudio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions. Have you experienced childhood trauma? The events in your life as a child impact you long after your childhood ends. For many, it can cause trauma leading to depression, anxiety, addiction, and many other mental health disorders. In this episode of From Survivor to Thriver, we sat down with Susan Gold who went through it all. She has been on a continuous healing journey that has brought her to her passion of helping others overcome their own childhood traumas and begin to heal their inner child and find happiness in adulthood.Navigating a ferociously challenging upbringing, while bravely moving forward as an adult to face ingrained, outdated, and patriarchal programming head-on, Susan Gold now shares a unique perspective in viewing life challenges as occasions for transformation.   Through her book, Toxic Family: Transforming Childhood Trauma into Adult Freedom, Susan turns the standard paradigm on its head courageously leading others through her own journey of abuse, addiction, and surviving narcissism all while creating a distinctly empowering personal and professional life. Keen on leaving a legacy to help others heal from challenges she's successfully met, Toxic Family is part of that quest. With the same magic Susan created in her entertainment career, she is now leading retreats, webinars, workshops and private sessions to help others drop outdated storylines and programming in exchange for living from the heart in authentic freedom as adults.  Supporting homeless animals, especially dogs, and cats, and helping others up the ladder are her joys.  In today's episode, we cover: The first steps to healing from childhood traumaThe defining moments of Susan's childhood that led to trauma, depression, and addictionThe continuous journey of healing How therapy and support groups changed Susan's lifeThe power of following your intuitionThe impact of growing up with a narcissist and what it means to be an empathThe transformational power of healing your inner childHow your environment can impact your inner peaceWhat happens when you heal your inner childWe hope you enjoyed our conversation with Susan! There may be a temptation in some circles to dismiss intuition as witchy, folkloric, or unscientific but there's actually a ton of science around this. Our guest, author, actress and director, Amber Tamblyn will guide us through this. Tamblyn argues that intuition is a trainable skill but that this south-of-the-neck intelligence is often obscured by being too stuck in our heads and out of touch with our bodies. Tamblyn has been nominated for Emmy®, Golden Globe, and Independent Spirit Awards. Her work in television spans over two decades including starring roles on House M.D., and Two and a Half Men. On the big screen, she starred in movies such as The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and 127 Hours. She's written seven books, including her latest, which is called Listening in the Dark: Women Reclaiming the Power of Intuition. In this episode we talk about:How she defines intuition, and the role it plays as a bridge between the conscious and unconscious parts of our mindsWhy we are conditioned to validate rational intelligence over intuitive intelligence The gut/brain connection, and why the enteric nervous system is known as the “second brain”Practical tips for getting better at listening to our bodiesThe role of meditation in boosting intuitionThe scientific research that points towards the importance of having a relationship with nature, and how this can improve our intuitionThe relationship between intuition and creativityHow we should think about dream lifeWhat to do when you're not sure whether you should trust your gutHow to recognize the difference between anxiety and intuitionAnd why our society has downplayed the importance of intuition, which has been a tool used against women and menFull Shownotes: https://www.tenpercent.com/podcast-episode/amber-tamblyn-555See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
