Koen Schuiling, de voormalige burgemeester van Groningen, was volop in het nieuws de afgelopen dagen. Schuiling heeft een boete gekregen nadat gepakt was tijdens het masturberen achter het stuur. "Een man in een staat van dienst die het land heeft gediend die op zo'n lullige manier aan het eind van zijn carrière komt. Dat is extreem pijnlijk, maar ook sappig", snapt presentator Renze Klamer. Tegelijkertijd is het de vraag waarom Schuiling, die verder niet publiekelijk heel bekend was, nu opeens zoveel media-aandacht krijgt. "Als iedereen er eindeloos veel aandacht aan besteedt, heb je het er steeds weer over", denkt Sarah Sylbing, hoofdredacteur van de VPRO. De rechtszaak rondom de rellen in Amsterdam is van start gegaan. De jongeren die op 'jodenjacht' gingen staan terecht om de onrust die ontstond naar aanleiding van de voetbalwedstrijd tussen Maccabi Tel Aviv en Ajax. In de talkshows kwam het onderwerp ruim aan bod. "De schrik die er was toen het gebeurde, is wat gedaald. Maar wat er gisteren naar buiten kwam uit die appgroepen zorgde wel voor boosheid", zegt Renze Klamer, presentator bij RTL. "Dat de toon nu rustiger is, vind ik toe te juichen. Het is een rechtszaak en daar hoort hoor en wederhoor bij", reageert Margriet Brandsma, oud-correspondent Duitsland. In zijn uitzending was misdaadverslaggever Saskia Belleman te gast, bij Bar Laat was een advocaat van een van de verdachten te zien. De verhalen van de verdachten kwamen op Klamer verkeerd over. "Het zijn stoere gasten in die appgroepen en dan zitten ze voor de rechter en dan weten ze het opeens niet meer. Daar kan ik me over opwinden." Volgens Brandsma slaan ook rechters een "docentachtig" toontje aan bij de verhoren. "Je kunt het ook directer stellen. We zijn het er toch over eens dat dit niet kan?" Verder hebben we het in het mediaforum over de vragen die feestvierende Syriërs in Utrecht kregen van een verslaggever van het NOS-journaal, de transfer van Thomas van Goningen van omroep WNL naar SBS en over alcohol op de tafels van talkshows. We hebben triatleet Rachel Klamer te gast, we liepen alle drie de Zevenheuvelenloop in Nijmegen. Met nog een aantal uren te gaan, is het volop speculeren hoe het eerste debat tussen presidentskandidaten Kamala Harris en Donald Trump zal verlopen. De media staan bol van de voorbeschouwingen, onder andere over welke rol Trump op zich zal nemen. Zo zou zowel de kwade als de goedwillende kant van de Republikeinse kandidaat ten tonele kunnen komen. Presentator Renze Klamer is "heel nieuwsgierig" wat er komen gaat. "Alleen al het feit dat ze elkaar nog nooit in het echt gesproken hebben", maakt dat Klamer het "mega spannend" vindt. Het zou namelijk zomaar kunnen dat het beeld rondom Harris, die de vreugde terug zou hebben gebracht in de Amerikaanse politiek, omslaat na het debat tegen Trump. "Als het beeld kantelt, is dat wat telt", aldus Klamer. Giselle van Cann, hoofdredacteur van NOS Nieuws, vindt dat de focus vooral moet liggen op wat de kandidaten zeggen, niet op hoe ze het zeggen. "Je mist dingen als je niet breed kijkt." Hoewel zo'n debat een "vooropgezet toneelstuk" kan zijn, kan het ook veel impact hebben. Zoveel was wel duidelijk na Bidens optreden bij het vorige debat en zijn aftreden daarna. "Toen Harris hem verving, kwam er positiviteit die tot nu heeft geduurd. Dit debat kan een nieuw sentiment zijn dat hard de andere kant op kan slaan", aldus Van Cann.

In deze aflevering gaat Tijs van den Brink in gesprek met zijn voormalige EO-collega Renze Klamer, die inmiddels bij RTL4 zijn eigen talkshow heeft. Sinds Renze niet meer naar de kerk gaat heeft hij een grote allergie voor kerkgangers die tegen hem zeggen dat ze voor hem zullen bidden. Richtigen Urwald gibt es in Deutschland schon lange nicht mehr. Daher hat Abenteuerwanderer Gerald Klamer zu Fuß den größten Teil der letzten wilden europäischen Wälder in den Karpaten durchwandert. Der Waldschützer machte 2021 auf sich aufmerksam, als er 6000 Kilometer durch Deutschlands Wälder wanderte, um deren Zustand zu protokollieren. Was alles schief läuft in den heimischen Forsten, fasste er im Anschluss in einem Buch zusammen. Im Jahr darauf galt seine Aufmerksamkeit den Karpaten-Wäldern in der Slowakei und in Rumänien. Im Podcast berichtet Klamer von schmerzvollen Begegnungen mit bissigen Hüte-Hunden und von einer Holz-Mafia, die nicht davor zurückschreckt, Menschen zu töten, die sich ihr in den Weg stellen. Der Waldwanderer beschreibt den enormen weltweiten Hunger nach Holz, der durch die zunehmende Verfeuerung von Pellets zu Heizzwecken und die Verbrennung in industriellem Maßstab, zum Beispiel zur Stromgewinnung, eher noch wachsen dürfte. Keine guten Aussichten für die kostbarsten Waldbestände auf diesem Planeten.

25 Jahre war Gerald Klamer Forstbeamter mit sicherer Stelle, festen Bezügen. Doch dann kündigte er, löste seine Wohnung auf und startete eine Wanderung durch Deutschland. Knapp 6.000 Kilometer auf den Spuren des Klimawandels. Gerald Klamer schlief und aß im Wald, begegnete Wildkatzen und Wildschweinen und fand heraus, wie es um unsere Wälder steht. Renze Klamer, de mediagast in het eerste uur, begint komende maandag met zijn nieuwe late night talkshow Renze op RTL4. De komende Tour de France, die vandaag (vrijdag 1 juli) begint in Kopenhagen, is hij onder meer analist in de Avondetappe. Later deze zomer geeft hij voor de NOS commentaar bij de Tour de France Femmes. Nelissen is zelf oud-wielrenner. Zijn grootste succes behaalde hij in 1995 toen hij in Colombia wereldkampioen bij de amateurs werd. 

Op voorhand hadden we zo onze bedenkingen: een dramatisering van de opkomst van Pim Fortuyn, zou dat kunnen werken in een tv-landschap waarin politieke drama's meestal niet heel goed uitpakken? Ja, zo blijkt, want de vijfdelige miniserie Het Jaar van Fortuyn is een ongekende voltreffer. Of het nu gaat om de perfecte stijl, het briljante acteerwerk van onder meer Ramsey Nasr als Ad Melkert en Fedja van Hûet als Mat Herben of de tot in de puntjes verzorgde bijrollen: alles klopt aan deze serie. Time Enough For Mudd By Rosco McQueen Harcourt Fenton Mudd only appeared in two live-action episodes of Star Trek, and once in animated form, but he left a lasting impression [and I guess Rainn Wilson didn't?–Ed.]. So much so that a spin-off was in the works, as revealed in an article from Fansided.  The article delves into the Starlog Magazine interview archives to discover that the pitch never got past the desk of the Great Bird of the Galaxy.  Gene Roddenberry told the actor, Roger C. Carmel, that the artists didn't have time to develop the project, which would have seen Mudd take the lead in the series as a space pirate/intergalactic con-man. Carmel was supposed to reprise his role in a first season episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, but the actor died before filming began.

However, there are times when things can get dark and people start to show their true colors–like one fan who was offered the privilege of attending the Star Trek Day celebrations in person. Long story short, at one point during the event, while Wilson Cruz was on stage, someone in the audience yield out a homophobic slur. According to reports, no one did anything about it. The guest was not removed nor have they been identified (yet). Starting February 15, 2022, anyone still using the 10-year-old OS (seriously, not even Microsoft supports it anymore) won't be able to patch or log into STO and Neverwinter. Only Windows 8 and 10 (with the superior 64-bit intellect) will have a home on the final frontier. DirectX 10 support is also getting ejected like a spent warp core on February 15th, with both games requiring Feature Level 11 or higher. That means your computer needs to have one of the following video card chipsets to play: NVidia GeForce GTX 400 or better ATI/AMD Radeon HD 5000 or better Intel HD Graphics 4000 or better Given all the fun and excitement of buying graphics cards these days, if your current card isn't up to the task...well, godspeed. All of these simple technologies have withstood the test of time, but the last may be the most miraculous. Needing only three Technician doffs and one boff ability at minimum, the Aux2Bat ship build is easy to assemble, trivial to fly, and still keeps your bridge officers ready for whatever space wizardry you demand of them. Sure, it hasn't been the meta in a sehlat's age, but you know what? Aux2Bat does the job, it does it pretty well, and that's pretty much all we ask...until now. Ever drop a Gravity Well, and notice your Tyken's Rift is now off-limits for 15 seconds? That's the Shared Category Cooldown kicking in, forcing you to pace yourself rather than let everything rip at once. When Cryptic first released the Boimler Effect trait, it provided a 2.5% percent chance of resetting every bridge officer ability to its Shared Category Cooldown, whenever you used a non-specialist boff ability. Great in theory, but one-in-forty odds just aren't worth a 200 Lobi investment. Yeah, that's was also our reaction. Either way, the Star Trek: Armada and Armada II RTS games that came out then still hold a place in certain PC players' hearts. So much, in fact, that the Stellar Parallax modding group has finally released what Activision would not: Star Trek: Armada III. Starting as a one-person passion project back in 2012, Armada III is a full-conversion mod for 2012's Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. Stellar Parallax's devoted faithful can now command the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Borg, or Cardassian Union at the beginning of the Dominion War. See, Kurtzman? Hij staat voor een economie die gericht is op de ontwikkeling van kwaliteiten en niet de toename van kwantiteiten. Er is sprake van een transitie van een kwantitatieve economie naar een kwalitatieve economie   Hoe krijgen we nieuw perspectief in de Coronacrisis? Is BTW kwijtschelding een oplossing voor de enorme terugval in Horeca, toerisme, cultuur en zzp’ers? Rachel Klamer is a two time Olympian who competed for the Netherlands at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics, finishing in 36th and 10th position respectively. We moeten een ommezwaai maken in ons economische stelsel, vindt Arjo Klamer. Kwaliteit in plaats van kwantiteit. De naderende recessie is het ultieme moment om veranderingen door te voeren. Na de crisis van 2008 is volgens Klamer niet voldoende gedaan, maar nu is hij hoopvol dat zijn Value Based Approach wél breed als oplossing wordt gezien.
