The Transformative Power of Sri Vidya Mantras: A Spiritual Journey with Santosh Kumar RajaA Deep Dive into Spiritual Practices and MantrasHello, dear readers. I'm Gareth, the host of the podcast where we explore the profound and often mystical realms of spirituality and personal growth. In one of our most enlightening episodes, I had the privilege of conversing with Santosh Kumar Raja, a dedicated practitioner of the Sri Vidya mantras from Hyderabad, India. Today, I want to share with you the essence of that conversation and the profound insights into the world of mantras and spiritual awakening.Santosh Kumar Raja: A Journey to Spiritual AwakeningSantosh's story is as captivating as it is inspiring. Growing up in a traditional Hindu family, he was surrounded by the rituals and practices of Hinduism from a young age. His innate interest in spirituality led him to explore various disciplines, including meditation, yoga, and pranic healing. But it was his encounter with Ravi Guruji that truly set him on the path of the Shri Vidya mantras.Ravi Guruji's dedication to spreading the teachings and his selfless service profoundly impacted Santosh, making these powerful practices accessible to seekers like him. However, Santosh was candid about the "rocky" and "bumpy" ride of his spiritual journey. The practice of the mantras brought significant life changes, stirring up issues related to career, psychology, and finances. It was a period of intense transformation, supported by friends and healers who provided guidance and solace. The Essence of Sri Vidya Mantras and Their Impact on KarmaThe ultimate aim of practicing Sri Vidya mantras, as Santosh explained, is moksha, or liberation. This involves the dissolution of karma, the cleansing of both good and bad karmic imprints to facilitate spiritual evolution. The belief in reincarnation is central to Hinduism, and the mantras serve as a tool to accelerate karmic cleansing, reducing suffering and fostering spiritual growth. The Universal Nature of Divine Energies and the Role of DeitiesDuring our conversation, Santosh delved into the significance of Sanskrit syllables in the mantras, describing them as universal sounds that connect with energy and consciousness. The recitation of these mantras can activate the chakras, widening the connection to the causal body where karmic imprints are stored, thus accelerating manifestation and cleansing processes.Personal Experiences and the Initiation ProcessIn our podcast, I shared my limited understanding of the Sri Vidya lineage and its creation. Santosh clarified that the mantras are powerful vibrations that can generate profound spiritual experiences. Traditionally, these mantras were imparted in a one-to-one setting under a guru's guidance. However, with the advent of social media and communication technologies, they have become accessible to a wider audience. The Journey Continues: Meeting in Portugal and Future DiscussionsI had the honor of meeting Santosh in person in Portugal, a serendipitous encounter on the birthday of the Divine Mother Lalitha. It was a divine coincidence that enriched our connection and understanding.Looking ahead, Santosh and I plan to delve deeper into the concept of mantras and the teachings of our lineage in future episodes. It's essential for people to grasp the significance and power of mantras in accelerating spiritual growth.Manblunder Website : https://manblunder.com/Santosh santoh@manbhttps://www.youtube.com/@EndlessPossibilitiesPodcast

Some more texts. https://ramanisblog.in/2014/04/09/devi-upasana-authoritative-texts-to-follow/ The Lalitha Sahasranama begins addressing the Goddess as The Mother , Mother of Prosperity,   “Sri Matha, Maharajne'   As Knowledge of Prosperity Sri Vidya it gives scope for prosperity in this world through Saguna Upasana and for Beyond  by Nirguna Uapasana.   Sri Vidya combines Gnana, Bhakti, Karma and Raja Yoga and synthesizes them in one format.   It also provides for Dualism,Dwaita and Advaita in worship.   As a Devotee if one worshps the Devi as different from the Self, it becomes Dwaita.   When Sri Vidya is practiced as the raising of Kundalini through the Chakra in the Human Body it becomes Yoga.   In Kunḍalini yoga, one realizes divine consciousness through the activation of the hidden energy of Kunḍalini There are six centers (cakras) in the spinal channel. Kunḍalini is said to be initially coiled up at mulādhara.   She is the Mother. She passes through these six from mulādhara at the bottom of spine to ajna at the forehead, then to the crown of the head (sahasrāra) where individual consciousness fully unites with cosmic consciousness.   When you concentrate on the Unity of Shiva and Shakti, it Unites Shaiva and Shakta.(Aikyaanusnathaanam)   When one meditates on the Devi as an expression of the Universal Self, Brahman, it is Advaita. https://ramanisblog.in/2014/03/27/sri-vidya-mantra-tantra-vidyas-sources-details/ --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ramanispodcast/message

Though Hinduism advocates The Realization of the Self, which is a Principle and beyond Attributes,Hinduism recommends worship of gods in the form of Idols. In this sense in Hinduism,God exists in Form and at the same time does not. For details read my post ‘God Exists, Yes And No' Worship of Gods in Human forms that in a form which one likes is special feature of Hinduism. In theory therefore there are, in this perspective, as many Gods as there are tendencies , Details of Worship of Gods is also provided. Of the innumerable Gods and Goddesses, Adi Shankaracharya chose Six and regulated the worship , The Shanmathas. Please read my blog on this. There are various ways one can worship these Gods and Goddesses. Goddess Lalitha is worshiped in Four different ways The worship of Goddess Lalitha is called Sri Vidya. When Jeanne Heileman became a yoga teacher in 1996, there was no career for this field. She had the intention to teach once a week as a work supplement in the non-profit arts world to pay off her graduate school student debt. Three months after taking her first teacher training she found herself teaching 20 classes a week! A total life transformation that continued to evolve into her own style of yoga called Tantra Flow, which combines her 35 years of study in the practices and science of yogic disciplines, combining her love for asana, meditation, pranayama, mantra, Ayurveda, Buddhism, and Tantra in the living lineage of Sri Vidya, from Himalayan Institute under Swami Rama and Pandit Rajmani Tigunait. In this episode, we're talking about what makes a good yoga teacher and some of the insights Jeanne has gained through her years of practicing under the guidance of many different teachers. This is a simple, bare bones yoga nidra practice, without music. The practice of Shavayatra is also known as the 61 points exercise, and is a form of yoga nidra from the Sri Vidya tantra tradition of the Himalayas. It helps us to deeply relax and enter into pratyahara, or sense withdrawal, and merge awareness between the body and the mind. An experience of energy like a network of throughout the body may be felt. The invitation is to just be with anything you experience. The practice involves briefly resting your attention, on each of the 61 points, as you hear them named. These 61 points correspond with energy-rich areas of the body, known as marma points. Script is adapted from the description of the practice provided on https://swamij.com/ thumbnail photo by Bruce Christianson, courtesy of Unsplash Comments and feedback on this and other episodes are always welcome. This discourse is an answer to the question as to which parampara (lineage) Om Swami is from and where did it start. This is the second part of the series on Om Swami's parampara. Om Swami says that his guru Naga Baba took initiation of aghor sadhana from Hari Nam Das aghori, and while doing his sadhana he lived in a cemetery for eight years. Naga Baba later also got initiation of Sri Vidya from a buddhist lama and during that period he remained at the shakti peet itself for twelve years. Mohan Das udasin was Naga Baba's guru and Naga Baba got initiation for bhakti and love(parental love) from him. All these different practices came together like different flowers bound in a bouquet and was given and received by Om Swami. When Om Swami received all this, he had to see as to what would work in today's time and world. All this came to him before he started his main sadhana and they had become a good mixture. When he started his sadhana of bhagawan Mahadev, Ma Shakti and of the Udasin lineage he had in addition with him a mantra from his uncle who was an ardent devotee of Shiva. In Badrinath he received a mantra from Bhairavi Ma. His guru Naga Baba was initiated by a naga saint with the sabar mantra. Om Swami says, that he had with him some mantras from Tantra, some mantras from the Vedas and some Sabar mantras plus his own sadhanas from this life time and some from his previous ones. Now with all this within him, he started his sadhana. He sat in a cave to first bring one pointedness in his mind and then started on his sadhana. First he awakened the Lalita Sahasranama. Then he awakened the mantra which was given by Bhairavi Ma. After this, he left the cave and went into the forests where he awakened the mantra of Ma Gayatri. The kriya that was received by him before, and due to which he was able to talk to his deity was completely championed. As soon as Ved Mata Gayatri's mantra was awakened, his doubts regarding his ability to get answers to his questions from his inner consciousness completely vanished and that left him with no doubt of the truth. Soon after this, he awakened the Vishnu Sahasranama. After this, he started his main sadhana of Sri Vidya and after completing it he went to Kamyakya to honour the Vedic way and as was instructed by Ma Tripurasundari. In Kamyakya, he received a Tantra initiation which brought everything together and it became complete. Om Swami says, after this he went to Rudra nath, and later from there he went to Bengal where he awakened a mantra of bhagawan Ganapati. After this he went to Rudra nath again where he completed a sadhana and on completion he came to the ashram. After coming to the ashram, in eight months, he made the fifteen nityas in the Sri Vidya occupy their respective places. Om Swami says, the lineage, now took a different form. The different lineages were like an inverted tree with all the branches spreading in different directions. Now from the different branches there was one trunk and roots. He says, all these mantras are very ancient and they are not written down but are passed on orally even today, and that is the reason he is cautious and thinks before giving a mantra to anyone. It is a sacred heritage of the saints and sages from ancient times and a person's motive for a mantra needs to be looked into before giving it. He says, the thought that someone's problems can be fixed through the use of mantra is like conducting a business. It will neither help the giver nor the receiver. As a culture, we have lost the capacity to cultivate stillness. Societal programming has moved us into a mindset of DOING rather than BEING, and many of us feel like we’re running out of time and space to rest. But as our guest speaker so beautifully explained, “It is our birthright to deeply rest.” In this week’s episode, we are blessed by the inspiring presence of Tracee Stanley—author, yoga instructor, and facilitator of rest. Tracee invites us to experience the radiance that follows when we choose to prioritize stillness and shares with us the tools she uses to support herself and others on this journey! Listen in as Lola and Tracee discuss the importance of embracing quiet in a loud world! Tracee Stanley was introduced to the practice of yoga nidra in 2001. She immediately recognized it as a healing salve for the world and began to incorporate it into her life and her yoga teaching. She left her high-stress career as a Hollywood film producer to delve deeper into the study of the practices that were empowering and rejuvenating her, so she could share them with others. With over 20 years of experience practice and teaching in the Himalayan Tradition, Tantra and Sri Vidya, she also understands the demands of life as an entrepreneur, wife, and stepmom. Her effortless way of sharing ancient teachings in accessible ways is her superpower. She travels extensively to offer yoga nidra, meditation, self-inquiry, teacher trainings and workshops. We are so conditioned to expect that Prince Charming will show up on his white horse and deliver us radical intimacy; he will sweep us off our feet and the rest is history. Let’s be real - that's just not how intimacy works.  In fact, as Zoë Kors, a sought-after thought leader on intimacy and sexuality, says  “We are not taught these [intimacy] skills. We are programmed to believe passion, sex, and love happen spontaneously.” Zoë joins me to discuss how to cultivate radical intimacy within ourselves and explore why we expect and often demand something from others we don’t know how to give to ourselves.  We tend to think intimacy is something that requires a lover, but radical intimacy is a rich experience of yourself; and as a result, it allows you to have a rich experience with someone else. Tune in to hear how to embrace a radically intimate life. Show Highlights What Zoe means when she uses the term ‘radical intimacy’. (3:38) Cultivating intimacy and the three areas of intimacy: physical, emotional, and energetic. (7:19) Energetic intimacy and the emotional attachment myth - women believe they are, by nature, are emotionally attached to the people they have sex with. (10:30) Some habits and actions we do disconnect us from our bodies. (21:46) Three ways we run away from pain and feel discomfort: denial, distraction, and deflection. (24:11) Coming out of a marriage is an opportunity to heal and take back your sovereignty. (36:57) The paths of sexual healing and finding safety in your own body. (40:01) How to reignite sexual intimacy within relationships. (42:04) Learn More About Zoë: Zoë is the resident sex and intimacy coach and contributor at Coral, sexual wellness app. Zoë is the former Senior Editor and Creative Director of LA Yoga Magazine. As a team member, Zoë works with clients to reintroduce healthy sexuality and intimacy after the trauma of betrayal.    She is a certified Co-Active Coach with the prestigious Co-Active Training Institute in San Rafael, CA. Zoë is initiated in the Sri Vidya tantra lineage. What a precious conversation with a dear friend and holder of yoga. “Powerful peace and peaceful power of a life lived straight from the Heart, for the Heart.” - Domagoj Orlić Domagoj Orlić first met Mark Whitwell in about 2000, following an interest in yoga since his teenage years. He is a yoga teacher in the traditional mode of “no more than a friend, no less than a friend,” the author of multiple books on yoga and philosophy in Croatian and English, the translator into Croatian of ‘Yoga of Heart', and ‘The Promise', an artist of yantra, and an accomplished martial artist. In this discourse, Om Swami answers a question on the Durga Saptashati - How it should be recited and its benefits. Durga Saptashati is a description of Ma Jagdamba - it is a story and describes how she fought and won many battles with asuras. But once you have read the story once, if you keep re-reading it, there would be no interest left and no further knowledge gained. So, for someone who wants to recite the Durga Saptashati, once you have read it and understood it, focus on chanting some of its powerful mantras instead. One mantra is a Sri Vidya mantra and the other is the Navarna mantra. The only exception to this is if you know Sanskrit and you enjoy chanting in Sanskrit, you can recite the Durga Saptashati with good rhythm and tone. Because then you are doing it for enjoyment and not benefits. The famous Lalita Trishati stotra, which is a dialog between Lord Hayagreeva and Agastya in the brahmandapurana, holds one of the keys to the highly guarded Shodasakshari mantra of Devi, with which the coveted Shree Chakra is worshiped. After Hayageeva gave the Lalita sahasranama stotra, Rishi Agastya falls on his feet and requests him to reveal to him the secret of Shree Chakra worship. Hayageeva keeps quite. At that time the Devi herself appears and tells Hayagreeva that as Agastya and his wife Lopamudra are great devotees of her and deserve the secrets of the Trishati stotra. Then Hayagreeva teaches the following Lalita Trishati stotra to Agastya. It has 300 shlokas, 20 for each beeja of the Panchadasi mantra. In Srishti kram you invoke the Devi by way of expansion. You will start on the first night and will go for fifteen nights and sixteenth is the cusp when it ends. Each night you invoke one Devi. And, on the sixteenth you invoke the The Devi: Mother Goddess. Her appearance is momentary. Only an extraordinary practitioner can hold the form of Devi for any more than a moment because she is in the cusp of that date. There is no sixteenth date as such. It only comes for a very short period of time. For a sanyasi, for a renunciate, they are not supposed to fulfill their desires. They are not supposed to keep their desires in their heart and go after them like a householder would. So, they go after what's called Sanghar kram. Sanghar is destruction, the sequence of destruction. Householders would go for a sequence of creation. In sequence of destruction the process is reversed. And then there is Stithi kram. Stithi karma is to sustain. Devi alone assumes the form of Brahma and creates as Brahma. She assumes the form of Vishnu and sustains. She assumes the form of Shiva and destroys. What is Sri Vidya and what is the benefit of Sri Vidya or practicing Sri Vidya? From the perspective of the Science of Mantras, there are two kinds of mantras. There are mantras of Devi (feminine energy) and there are mantras of masculine energy. Within those energies, there are further three types. The mantras of Devi are called Vidyas. When there is a mantra of a Devi, it means vidya. A good mantra of a Devi will always have a seed syllable. When there is seed syllable in a mantra, then it is like sowing a seed. That seed is going to go inside you, in your consciousness and sprout and make you a worthy recipient of the grace of the deity of the mantra. Every mantra has a deity: an owner of the mantra. If I were to look at Devi's physical form for example, that is her visual aspect. But her sonic aspect, the aspect of sound, if I were to represent a Devi by sound, I will use her mantra. For example if you have a phone number of a person and you call that number and you get straight through to that person. Similarly, a mantra is the number of that God or Goddess. Through a mantra, you get through to that energy. Sri means Devi, the primal mother, the first mother, the empress. She is Sri Mata, the mother goddess. Sri means somebody whose refuge you can seek. You can never seek a refuge of a weak person. You can only seek refuge of a strong person. Listen to this beautiful discourse by Om Swami and find out the deep meaning of Sri Vidya.
