It's Monday, November 18th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Muslims killed four Christians in Kaduna State, Nigeria As a Nigerian Christian man named Kushuwai started harvesting rice with his family on November 8th in Jema'a County, he suddenly found himself in the middle of a nightmare, reports International Christian Concern. Muslim extremists, believed to be Fulani militants, attacked his farming community, killing four Christians and critically wounding several others in Southern Kaduna State. Kushuwai said, “They came in their numbers, armed with guns, knives, and machetes. They encircled us without firing a shot. My son begged them to spare us, but they attacked him instead. My daughters and the other women ran for their lives while I was struck down trying to intervene.” Although Kushuwai survived with severe injuries, his son was brutally killed. In Romans 8:35, the Apostle Paul asked, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?“ Chinese student killed 8, injured 17 after failing exam On Saturday, a Chinese student killed eight people and injured 17 others in a stabbing attack at Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing city, China, reports One America News. Police stated that the suspect, who was arrested on the scene, was a recent graduate who was motivated to kill and maim because of “failing [an] exam, not receiving a graduation certificate, and dissatisfaction with internship compensation.” Biden authorizes Ukraine to use US-supplied long-range missiles inside Russia President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use U.S.-supplied long-range missiles to strike deeper inside Russia, easing limitations on the weapons as Russia deploys thousands of North Korean troops to reinforce its war, reports the Associated Press. The decision allowing Kyiv to use the Army Tactical Missile System for attacks farther inside Russia comes as President Vladimir Putin positions North Korean troops along Ukraine's northern border to try to reclaim hundreds of miles of territory seized by Ukrainian forces. North Korea has provided thousands of troops to Russia to help Moscow try to claw back land in the Kursk border region that Ukraine seized this year. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and many of his Western supporters have been pressing Biden for months to allow Ukraine to strike military targets deeper inside Russia with Western-supplied missiles, saying the U.S. ban had made it impossible for Ukraine to try to stop Russian attacks on its cities and electrical grids. The Red State, a conservative website wrote, “Maybe Joe Biden didn't get the memo: he lost the presidential election and will be vacating the White House in January. It's an odd time to be announcing a significant--and perhaps escalatory--shift toward Ukraine as they try to stave off Russian aggression in the ongoing war between the two countries.” Trump picked Secretary of Energy President-elect Donald Trump has named energy industry executive Chris Wright as his choice to lead the Department of Energy, pending Senate confirmation, reports The Epoch Times. In a November 16 statement, Trump wrote, “Chris has been a leading technologist and entrepreneur in energy. He has worked in nuclear, solar, geothermal, and oil and gas. Most significantly, Chris was one of the pioneers who helped launch the American Shale Revolution that fueled American energy independence, and transformed the global energy markets and geopolitics.” In remarks at a National Conservatism conference in 2021, Wright warned that ongoing attempts to shift from oil, coal, and gas to renewables are “the largest politically driven mis-investment ever,” that will increase energy costs and reduce reliability. Christian group opposes Matt Gaetz for Attorney General A conservative Christian legal group is opposing Present-elect Trump's nomination of Matt Gaetz to be the next Attorney General Liberty Counsel, headed by Mat Staver, released a statement in which they declared, “Matt Gaetz is neither morally nor professionally qualified to become the United States Attorney General. This is the highest law enforcement position in the country. America deserves much better. “Professionally, Matt Gaetz graduated from law school in 2007, and briefly worked for a law firm in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida before being elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2010. He served in that role until 2016, and was then elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2017. Gaetz has three years or less experience in the practice of law, hardly enough to serve as the nation's chief law enforcement officer.” In the statement, Liberty Counsel wrote, “Morally, Gaetz has been under a cloud of sex and drug allegations. On Wednesday, as soon as he was tapped by President-elect Donald Trump, Gaetz immediately resigned from Congress, thus ending the Ethics probe into his sex parties that includes allegations of paying an underage girl for sex. Gaetz will face tough questions during any confirmation hearing and will likely not be confirmed. His immediate resignation raises serious questions as it occurred just two days before the U.S. House Ethics Committee was scheduled to vote to release what is expected to be a damaging report.” Mike Pence opposes RFK Jr at HHS over abortion Former Vice President Mike Pence urged Senate Republicans on Friday to vote against Trump's nomination of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, citing his views on abortion, reports the Christian Post. He said, "The Trump-Pence administration was unapologetically pro-life for our four years in office. There are hundreds of decisions made at HHS every day that either lead our nation toward a respect for life or away from it, and HHS under our administration always stood for life." Court upholds Indiana's ban on gender transition for minors A federal appeals court panel has upheld Indiana's ban on sex-change operations and hormone drugs for minors, including things like administering puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and cosmetic irreversible surgeries, reports The Christian Post. A three-judge panel of the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 Wednesday to reverse a lower court decision against Senate Enrolled Act 480, which passed in April 2023. Talk show host Dennis Prager seriously injured his back And finally, last Tuesday, conservative Jewish talk show host Dennis Prager seriously injured his back in a fall at his home, reports The Express Tribune. Prager, age 76, hosts a weekday show heard on 400 radio stations. He is also the founder of PragerU, known for its short educational videos that promote conservative values on topics like economics and political science. It is "the most viewed conservative video site in the world, with one billion views a year, more than half by people under the age of 35." Please pray for his full recovery. The nomination of Matt Gaetz to be United States Attorney General is shocking, confusing, and tumultuous, but not necessarily a non-starter. President-Elect Trump names Matt Gaetz as his pick for United States Attorney General. MODOT also names a new director and Randy gets a very belated birthday surprise.
Wednesday in Washington began so well, then everything went to Hell. The day started with Donald Trump's Triumph return to the White House. The President-elect met with Congressional Republicans. Then news of his choice for the United States Attorney General, the Nation's Top Cop, the number one Law Enforcer, was shared. Trump's pick was a stunner: Matt Gaetz. The MAGA Trouble-Maker was investigated by the House Ethics Committee and by the Justice Department, which he may one day head. There's more in this edition of Political Woman. Please subscribe.

United States Attorney General, Merrick Garland was at one time former President Obama's pick for the United States Supreme Court. Garland's failure to have a Senate hearing to become a Justice on the Supreme Court is what many believe triggered Garland's move to the extreme political left. He has championed some of the most extreme far-left positions since becoming the Attorney General under President Joe Biden. Some would say he sold his soul for vengeance. Today, Bob looks at this man and the danger he poses to a free people. However, Garland is not alone in this endeavor. Bob takes on this topic and more. Now, do you believe in this ministry? General Merrick Garland testifies for more than 5 hours to the House Judiciary Committee. Plus, Ryan Busse, who's running to be Democratic nominee in the Montana governor's race, talks about being a gun safety advocate in a heavily armed state. Joyce Vance, Carol Leonning, Jen Psaki, Doug Jones, Charlie Dent, and Keir Simmons join.
He calls in to talk to Simon about the validity of what is going on.
William Barr first took the office of the United States Attorney General in 1991, serving President George H. W. Bush through the end of his term in the White House. Decades later, he would come out of private practice to become the 85th AG, replacing Jeff Sessions in the administration of Donald J. Trump. It was a surprising appointment to some, given his well-known support for Jeb Bush in the 2016 primaries. Yet Barr had publicly supported the 45th president, particularly with regard to the special counsel investigation of Russian involvement in the 2016 election. The accomplishments of Barr's second tenure are well known, including both his handling of the special counsel report and his resignation in December 2020 when he refused to support President Trump's efforts to overturn the election.rnrnBarr's two stints leading the U.S. Department of Justice have given him a unique point of view on the rule of law and the functioning of the executive branch. He lays much of this out in his 2022 book One Damn Thing After Another: Memoirs of an Attorney General. The book, a number one New York Times best seller which The Wall Street Journal called "substantive and brilliant," takes its title from the words one of Barr's predecessors used to describe the job.rnrnAs we mark Law Day 2023, Bill Barr joins us to discuss his memoirs, his time in the AG's office, and the state of our democracy.
Marc starts this hour by discussing Missouri Senator Josh Hawley's back and forth with United States Attorney General, Merrick Garland, regarding the FBI's investigations in Catholic churches across America. Later, Missouri State Rep Adam Schnelting joins the conversation to talk about a new bill in the Missouri House that aims to allow CCW license holders to carry firearms on public transit systems. Next, Charles Payne expresses his concerns about the language used by Biden administration officials in interviews, regardless of the facts, citing Janet Yellen's recent statement about the economy. Payne argues that Yellen's job as an economist is to anticipate future trends and justify actions taken, but fears that middle and lower-income Americans may suffer as a result. He hopes the Federal Reserve will adjust its actions accordingly.
#OTD in 2009, the United States Senate confirmed Eric Holder as the 82nd U.S. Attorney General and the first African American to hold the position. Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph narrates.
In this episode, The Mentors Radio host Tom Loarie talks with UND grad and suspended FBI Special Agent Steve Friend, a respected 12-year veteran of the FBI and a SWAT team member. But this interview is not about the details of Steve's recent bombshell whistleblowing. This interview is about Steve's career, his journey, his character, his compass and anchor points...his "why"... The challenge he faced could easily apply to anyone, in any position, at any time. An excellent reminder that in work and in life—and in finding happiness and peace of soul—character counts! What would you do if the company leadership where you worked asked you—expected you—to do something unethical, something that went against clearly stated corporate principles, or against an oath you took (perhaps as a medical doctor, nurse or law enforcement officer, or in any kind of business position)? the This same question was faced by leadership and higher-level employees at the ENRON company many years ago. The same question was faced by a young Naval Officer at sea when the highest ranking commander on that ship refused to respond to an SOS call the young officer had received, even though their ship was the closest one to the cry for help plea. In each of these examples, some people stood up, respectfully, and endured consequences until the truth won out. At some point, we each have to answer this question in one way or another... many times during our lives. Steve Friend gives us an inside look at his "why." The removal of cannabis from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act is a proposed legal and administrative change in cannabis law at the federal level that can be undertaken by Congress, The Executive Branch or The United States Attorney General and has been proposed repeatedly since 1972. Schedule I is the most tightly restricted category reserved for drugs that have "no currently accepted medical use”. The scheduling of cannabis is also an issue that needs to be addressed at the state level and often conflicts with cannabis legalization laws, allowing for cannabis possession arrests to continue to occur even in those states where it has been legalized. Pereida v Wilkinson, (2021), was a United States Supreme Court (the Court) case in which the Court ruled that under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) an alien seeking to cancel a lawful removal order bears the burden of showing that he has not been convicted of a disqualifying offense. An alien has not carried that burden when the record shows he has been convicted under a statute limiting multiple offenses, some of which are disqualifying, and the record is ambiguous as to which crime formed the basis of his conviction. Background. Under the INA, certain nonpermanent residents may seek to cancel an order of removal and adjust to the status of an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence by applying to the United States Attorney General through the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), a subagency of the United States Department of Justice. As part of their application, the alien must demonstrate that they (1) have been physically present in the United States for a continuous period of not less than 10 years immediately preceding the application, (2) have been a person of good moral character during such period, (3) have not been convicted of an offense that would either render them inadmissible to be admitted to the United States or deportable from the United States, and (4) establishes that removal would result in exceptional and extremely unusual hardship to the alien's qualifying relative who is a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident. Clemente Avelino Pereida was a citizen of Mexico who entered the United States without authorization or inspection in approximately 1995. He relocated to Nebraska with his family, was gainfully employed and paid taxes, and with his wife raised three children, one a U.S. citizen and another a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipient. After an arrest, he was identified as an unlawfully present alien, and placed into removal proceedings in 2009. He did not contest his removability but instead applied to cancel his removal and adjust status to a lawful permanent resident. To demonstrate the requirements for cancellation of removal meant he had to produce records of his criminal history. But given his recent arrest, he was progressing through immigration proceedings in tandem with his criminal case. In his criminal case, state authorities charged him with attempted criminal impersonation for using a false Social Security card to seek employment at National Service Company of Iowa. The Nebraska Statute section 28-608 (2008) charged four different means in which a person could violate attempted criminal impersonation. Pereida was found guilty under the statute, he paid a fine and served no jail time for the offense. While Pereida identified his conviction for his cancellation of removal application, he declined to offer any evidence of his conviction. The United States Department of Homeland Security produced his criminal complaint but that document did not specify which of the four means he actually violated. That was problematic because three of the means were disqualifying offenses as a crime involving moral turpitude (CIMT) that rendered him inadmissible or deportable while one (carrying a business without a license) did not. Pereida argued that such ambiguity meant that his prior conviction could not be construed as a disqualifying offense to bar eligibility for relief. The EOIR Immigration Judge presiding over his case determined that Pereida's attempted criminal impersonation conviction was a CIMT that disqualified him from cancellation of removal and ordered him removed from the United States. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Merrick Garland, the United States Attorney General, now labels concerned parents, who stand up against Critical Race Theory, as domestic terrorists. Our Government is at war with the American people. I interviewed John Knox, who understands this, about his fight for the right of the L.A. City Firefighters to choose not to be vaccinated. Listen to John explain what they're doing, why they're doing it, and what is at stake. I try to explain conservatism every time I sit behind this microphone. But John Knox is an example of it. This selfless patriot is willing to sacrifice everything to defend America. This is a public episode. Sanchez v Mayorkas, (2021), was a United States Supreme Court case dealing with the ability for immigrants legally residing under temporary protected status to apply for permanent resident status through a green card. In a unanimous decision, the Court ruled in June 2021 that for immigrants who had entered the U.S. unlawfully, simply having temporary protected status did not make them eligible to apply for permanent resident status. Background. With the Immigration Act of 1990 and other laws passed since then, Congress gave the United States Attorney General authority to designate temporary protected status (TPS) for immigrants, regardless of how they arrived in the U.S., from countries where they would unable to return safely due situations to such as warfare or environmental disasters, as a humanitarian effort. One's TPS status remains active as long as the country is maintained on the Attorney General's list. As of 2021, about 400,000 immigrants have TPS status. Jose Sanchez and Sonia Gonzales unlawfully entered the U.S. from El Salvador in 1997 and 1998, respectively. Following the January and February 2001 earthquakes in their native country, the couple applied for and received TPS. They continued to live in the U.S. in New Jersey, raising a family of four, with their youngest becoming a U.S. citizen. In 2014, the couple opted to apply for their green cards to become permanent residents. Citizenship and Immigration Services denied their application, stating that as the couple did not enter the country lawfully, they could not apply for permanent status. The couple appealed this ruling to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. In 2018, the judge ruled for the couple, stating that the virtue of gaining TPS meant the couple was "maintaining lawful status" as immigrants and thus could qualify for permanent residence. The government appealed to the Third Circuit, which reversed the District Court's decision. There, the Third Circuit said that the TPS does not "constitute an admission" of legal immigration status. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Before we delve into this episode, quick programming note. Since leaving office, our favorite reality show star/ex-prez, has apparently lost 14lbs due to a fulltime steady diet of golf, and has returned to a human skin tone abandoning his trademark Cheetoh orange. Now on to the show— but before we dive in, I have to say that out of all the characters in the Trump Mafia, this guy might be the most perplexing member of his Cabal. There is so much talk and speculation about this guy’s moves during the Trump Regime that his name will live on not just in infamy, but most likely in classrooms, boardrooms and news departments for eons to come as a case study into our very own system of justice. (Please insert your pov on why his conduct is so precedent setting.) Ladies and Gents, may I present to you- Ex Attorney General William Pelham Barr. As always, a little background on our target, I mean subject. Willie Barr is an attorney who served as the 77th and 85th United States Attorney General in the administrations of Presidents George H. W. Bush and you-know-who. Barr also did a 4yr stint in the 70s at the CIA. Before becoming the AG in ‘91, he held numerous other posts within the Department of Justice, so he got to know his way around the system. From ‘94 to 2008, he did corporate legal work which made him a multimillionaire. Interestingly enough and most likely reason for his appointment under the Trump administration, was his that Barr was a longtime proponent of the unitary executive theory, which believes the Prez should have TOTAL AND UNFETTERED AUTHORITY over the executive branch of the U.S. government making him the perfect foil for ole Donny boy’s dirty work.

This year America woke from its social justice slumber to finally engage the problem of racially motivated police violence. As Black America begins to formalize our demands of the Biden/ Harris administration, policing reform undoubtedly sits at the very top of the list. In an effort to continue the conversation on policing reform the Amerikan Therapy Team sits down with one of the very top black voices in Law Enforcement, Lynda R. Williams President of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE). In this interview, Ms. Williams shares NOBLE's unprecedented break from other law enforcement organizations in their call for policing reform. While there is much work to do to bridge the gap between communities of color and law enforcement, NOBLE's stance represents an opportunity for positive change. Ms. Williams shares a behind-the-scenes look at how she's speaking truth to power on a daily basis as she sits at the table with Trump's Department of Justice and the United States Attorney General. The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) serves as the conscience of law enforcement by being committed to justice through action. Only nine months after the Obama policy reversal, on November 13, Alliance Defending Freedom filed a lawsuit on behalf of 6 Plaintiffs, including Parents' Rights In Education, against DALLAS SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2; OREGON, DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION; GOVERNOR KATE BROWN, in her official capacity as the Superintendent of Public Instruction; and UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION; BETSY DEVOS, in her official capacity as United States Secretary of Education as successor to JOHN B. KING, JR.; UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE; JEFF SESSIONS, in his official capacity as United States Attorney General, as successor to LORETTA F. LYNCH…This lawsuit defends the rights of individual students to privacy in respective locker/bath facilities while on the school campus. With no option for appeal, U.S. District Judge Marco Hernandez threw out the lawsuit. Case law cited by Judge Hernandez involved adults, not MINOR children. Oregon law, ORS659A.403 says “school districts may provide for minor children, safety and privacy, by maintaining sex segregated restrooms and locker rooms by biological sex, and provide single stall facilities for anyone requesting alternative accommodation, without breaking any laws.”The court adopts an overly narrow view of privacy that actually affords prisoners greater bodily privacy rights than public school students! The court places the interests of one student above the privacy, dignity and safety of all students; ignoring the reality that most people do not want to be in private facilities with members of the opposite sex. The court acknowledges students' anxiety at exposing their bodies to members of the opposite sex, and admits the alternatives made available to all other students appear “inferior and less convenient”, but imposes those accommodations unequally on the majority anyway.Tyler Smith & Associates, Rural Business Attorneys, Canby Oregon, volunteered to take the case to the next step, with Attorney Ryan Adams arguing for our side, on July 11, 2019. As a result of Anderson's convincing words, we were successful in gaining an opportunity for appeal to the Ninth Circuit. On February 12, 2020 the Ninth Circuit panel issued its decision affirming the trial court in all respects. The day we sent out a News Alert reporting on the Ninth Circuits' decision, an email arrived from CPR-C requesting the opportunity to represent us in the event our current attorneys were not interested in taking the cast to the Supreme Court. What PRIE considered to be a disappointment, we are confident will prove to be a golden opportunity. We are privileged to work with CPR-C, because…."We offer representation to parents whose constitutionally protected fundamental right to direct the upbringing, care, and education of their children has been violated." CPR-CAccording to CPR-C, “Seeking review from the Supreme Court is always a long shot. However, the importance of the issues raised by this case, the egregious nature of the Ninth Circuit's decision, and the prominence of these issues throughout the country, makes this a strong candidate for the Court.”We believe our case is National Parents' Rights issue, and CPR-C shares our conviction.Support the show (https://www.parentsrightsined.com/support-the-cause.html)

Lorretta!!!! Hillary!!! BawwwwRock!!!! Out with the old, in with the old. Yes, we are all angry, or we darn sure should be angry that 10 alleged republicans voted to confirm Loretta Lynch to succeed Eric Holder as BawwwwRock's Attorney General... You'll notice I said "BawwwwRock's Attorney General" and NOT the United States Attorney General. The stark reality is that in the profoundly mentally ill mind of the left and in the feckless establishment mind that is the Republican Congress, we simply are allowing ourselves to be ruled, our power to be ceded from God and control given to the IT that is the government instead of with US, WE the People. How did that happen? How can we change that? CAN WEEEEEE change it? Power and Governance are NOT the same! It is time we call things what they actually are. NOTHING changes until we change our mindset.
