In this episode of the Moonshots Podcast, Mike and Mark unlock the power of focus with insights from Gary W. Keller's best-selling book, The One Thing. Gary shares the journey behind writing the book, offering practical wisdom on how focusing on one essential task at a time can create a domino effect that drives extraordinary success. The hosts discuss how simplifying our approach and cutting through the noise is crucial to achieving remarkable results in both work and life.Listeners will hear from productivity experts like Clark Kegley, who explains the central idea of prioritizing one thing to maximize efficiency and eliminate distractions. He explores the Pareto Principle (80/20 rule), showing that 80% of success comes from 20% of focused effort.Next, the Productivity Game tackles the hidden productivity losses caused by "context switching." Shifting between tasks drains mental energy and wastes time, reinforcing Keller's principle of focusing on one thing at a time to reach peak performance. To wrap up the episode, Gary Keller and Tai Lopez stress the importance of focus and accountability in today's highly distracted world. They argue that staying committed to your goals requires discipline and that accountability is the secret ingredient to staying on track.Join Mike, Mark, and these experts to learn how to radically transform your productivity by honing in on the one thing that matters most.Listen to the Episode: The One Thing - Moonshots PodcastWatch on YouTube: The One Thing by Gary W. When a quality publishing house releases only one book a year, you know it will be a blockbuster. That's always been the case with award-winning Bard Press, which has brought out 18 business bestsellers over the past 25 years. This year the business boutique imprint has tapped authors Ed O'Malley and Julia Fabris McBride. Their book, When Everyone Leads: The Toughest Challenges Get Seen and Solved, offers a revolutionary model that allows everyone to claim the mantle of “leader,” no matter how high up or low down they are on the organizational chart. In When Everyone Leads, the authors lay out their five core tenets of leadership. Leadership is an activity, not a position Anyone can lead, anytime, anywhere Leadership starts with you and must engage others Leadership is risky Leadership is about your toughest challenges Ed and Julia know the genuine mechanisms of leadership. The two authors honed their insights into leadership at the Kansas Leadership Center, which they launched in 2007. Ed's background was in government and politics. Julia was an actor turned leadership coach. Working from the premise that the quality and quantity of leadership is the key determinant to prosperity, health, and success for organizations and communities, under their guidance the Kansas Leadership Center has empowered more than 15,000 individuals to set aside outdated concepts of leadership and anoint themselves pathfinders. As Ed and Julia explain to host and award-winning author Dean Rotbart, anyone can lead, anytime, anywhere. Is it your turn to step up? _____ Bard Press — founded by the incomparable Ray Bard and now piloted by veteran author, literary agent, editor, and blogger Todd Sattersten — picks winners. [21:07 - 25:12] How Aharon is educating veterans and civilians today about tools they can use to accelerate their path to Real Asset investment success.  [25:12 - 27:48] What drives Aharon's passion to want to help others find financial freedom.  [27:48 - 33:26] Some of the differences between interacting with army veterans versus civilians when working to help and educate them. [33:26 - 36:00] What Aharon sees as the biggest things that hold people back from getting started with investing.  [36:00 - 37:35] Aharon tells us all about the regular meetups that he organizes.   Here's what Aharon shared with us https://allinhs.com/during today's conversation:    Where in the world Aharon is based currently: Tacoma, Washington. The most positive thing to happen in the past 24 hours: Just waking up and being alive with the opportunity to live another day. Favourite European City: London, UK. Discussed in this episode: * For entrepreneurs who are just starting out, what are some steps they should make? * The critical importance of entrepreneurs treating their business like a business, not like a hobby. It can't be, “Oh, this is what I do on the side.” * The stigmas around a business earning a lot of money, contrasted with the fact that profit is the lifeblood of a business. * In the service space, there are benefits for pricing your product as a high ticket item. * How too many entrepreneurs fail to take into account the cost of labor when building their businesses. * How both Ralph and Maureen admire the book, “The ONE Thing,” by Gary W. The inner reflection that this book provides lead them both to see what the "one thing" was in their lives. For Claudia, the one thing is the pursuit of health, and for Elvis, his one thing is and always has been Claudia. This reflection has brought them to both see room for improvement and change, while also seeing the good in what they already have. If you enjoyed this episode, give us a rating and subscribe. You did, you made it to 2020 in one piece -- congrats!! I hope you've taken some time out to celebrate everything you achieved (and survived) in 2019 as well as having a think about the biggest lessons and takeaways the year gifted you with. This is now the time of year when we all get super pumped to achieve HUGE things, and while there's nothing wrong with that, there can also be some danger of setting yourself up for disappointment because of the way you approach your goals. As someone who used to set new years resolutions and then promptly dropped them within weeks but now approaches her year in a totally different way, I really wanted to record this episode for you before you got too carried away with your own goal-setting.Specifically on how important it is to have a clear focus and to choose one big thing at a time as opposed to writing out 20 big goals and wondering why at the end of the year, you're still so far from achieving them all.So if you're ready to break some old patterns and actually make 2020 your best year yet - a year where you take bold action and make consistent progress - then get this in your ears, pronto!Resources mentioned:The One Thing by Gary W.
