    JFK The Enduring Secret
Episode 292 The Tippit Murder Part 5 An Overview Before We Go Any Further

    JFK The Enduring Secret

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 14, 2025 50:55

Episode 292 is the fifth episode of our mini-series on the Tippit murder.  David Belin, the celebrated Warren Commission attorney called  it the "Rosetta Stone" of the JFK assassination. It may very well be... just that! In  this  episode we take a step back and attempt to provide an overview of the problems in the case and the areas and issues  to be mindful of as we progress through the remainder of the series. Episode 5 gives a real peak at what is to come next. This episode also begins a  process of piecing  evidence in the Tippit case together and shedding light on critical issues surrounding the assassination investigation as a whole.  In this mini-series, we examine the evidence, and delve into the bewildering array of contradictory eyewitness testimonies, from those who struggled to identify Oswald, to others like Aquilla Clemens, who bravely reported seeing not one, but two men at the murder scene, neither resembling Oswald. And we hear of witnesses that were subsequently threatened into silence or submission. We'll review the  questionable ballistics evidence: bullets and shells of different manufacturers with marks that mysteriously vanished, and a chain of custody so compromised it renders the evidence highly suspect. And then, there's the enigma of Oswald's wallet, containing his ID and an alias, inexplicably found at the Tippit murder scene by Dallas police Captain Westbrook, even as the official story claims it was taken from Oswald upon his arrest at the Texas Theatre. We begin with a group of core episodes that cover the murder itself. And then we work our way backwards and forwards...finally capturing Lee Harvey Oswald at the Texas Theatre. This raises uncomfortable questions about the Dallas Police Department itself. We  scrutinize the actions of officers like Captain William Westbrook and Sergeant Gerald Hill, whose movements, statements, and handling of evidence on November 22nd, 1963, appear less like routine police work, and more like a deliberate effort to frame Lee Harvey Oswald. Was this simply incompetence, or did elements within the DPD actively participate in a cover-up? And what of J.D. Tippit himself? We will  cover details about his personal life: a financially burdened veteran suffering from war trauma, a man  with an alleged "dark side" and connections to the right-wing underworld, including Jack Ruby.  We'll track his frantic, agitated behavior and unusual movements in the hour before his death…movements which  suggest he was not merely on routine patrol, but actively searching for someone, possibly Oswald, under direct orders—orders that mysteriously bypassed official police radio channels. And of course…all of this has  lead some very well respected  researchers such as John Armstrong  to theorize about a "two Oswalds" scenario in this murder, where multiple individuals resembling Oswald played roles in a larger deception.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk They frame Kirk’s death as a political assassination, comparing it to historical killings of JFK, Bobby Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. The hosts emphasize concerns about political violence, the dangers of polarization, and left-wing reactions online. They highlight messages of unity from unexpected voices on the left, such as Cenk Uygur, while contrasting that with those celebrating Kirk’s death. Persecution of Christians in Nigeria Cruz details violence by Boko Haram and ISIS-West Africa, citing statistics of tens of thousands of Christians killed and thousands of churches destroyed. He introduces the Nigeria Religious Freedom Accountability Act of 2025, which seeks to: Classify Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” for religious freedom. Keep Boko Haram and ISIS-West Africa labeled as terrorist groups. Sanction Nigerian officials complicit in persecution. The discussion connects this to broader issues of U.S. foreign policy, criticizing past administrations (especially Obama and Biden) for not doing enough to defend persecuted Christians. Tucker Carlson’s controversial statements Carlson’s remarks about offering condolences to Osama bin Laden’s family, questioning Hamas’s designation as a terrorist group, and sympathetic portrayals of Russia and Iran are strongly criticized. Cruz and Ferguson accuse Carlson of moral relativism, equating his views with those of progressive politicians like Ilhan Omar or Rashida Tlaib. They reaffirm that groups like Hamas, al-Qaeda, and ISIS are terrorist organizations, citing both U.S. and international designations as well as historical attacks. This all came crashing down last Monday night at JFK when I boarded a Delta flight to Seattle around 5 p.m. I consider JFK to be as close to a prison camp as I care to get. The Delta terminal is vast and crowded and ugly, endless lines at Ticketing, TSA agents whose badge entitles them to freely express hostility and contempt, miles of concourses lined with souvenir shops, the smell of bad food. Naming the airport for our late lamented president did him no service. We boarded the plane and sat at the gate for a while, then pulled out and sat on the tarmac. A massive storm was moving east. The pilot came on the horn every 15 minutes to apologize for the delay and say that Air Traffic Control had no idea when, if ever, we might leave. Five became six p.m. and then almost seven when suddenly he said we were clear to go and the plane sprinted toward the runway but something changed, we were too late, and we returned to the gate canceled. Cuban exile turned CIA operative Ricardo “Monkey” Morales justifies his moniker by orchestrating decades of chaos in the world of international espionage. The legend of Cuban exile turned US government operative Ricardo Morales Navarrete has been known in espionage circles for decades. Dubbed “The Monkey” for his disruptive and unpredictable escapades, Morales grabbed headlines for decades as tales of his bombings, arrests, assassination attempts (both those he executed and those he suffered), and testimony constructed a real-life spy adventure unlike anything brought to page or screen. His story delves into diverse aspects of American history, including our nation's conflict with Cuba, our anti-communism military support overseas, JFK's story before and after the Bay of Pigs, and the explosion of the illegal narcotics industry in 1970s Miami. Morales was a contract agent for the CIA and a valuable asset for the FBI; he even shared how he'd met Lee Harvey Oswald at a CIA camp in Florida before JFK's assassination. Morales's counterintelligence skills-for-hire were also a prized utility for Cuban drug kingpins in Miami, many of whom were discarded ex-CIA operatives.Monkey Morales blends James Bond, Rambo, and Scarface—a concoction of danger, politics, and family drama told in its entirety for the first time by authors Sean Oliver and Morales's son, Ricardo Morales, Jr.https://amzn.to/48fcltTBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

IN PLAIN SIGHT: A Memoir Infused with Military Psychological Operations"What if Mars' nuclear ghosts are screaming a warning—and Earth isn't listening?"Jonathan Mark Haber's life has been a collision with hidden truths. Born in 1950s Brooklyn, he came of age as the assassinations of JFK, MLK, and RFK shattered America's illusions—igniting his lifelong mission to dissect power. From draft resistance to founding Flyby News, Haber exposes how governments weaponize perception to bury inconvenient truths. Then came the revelation that rewrote history.Bart Jordan—a Manhattan Project physicist and NASA insider—revealed a nuclear detonation in Mars' Cydonia region, home to the infamous "Face" and "Signature Site 10" monuments. NASA data confirmed it: Martian atmospheric Xenon-129 isotopes—at twice the concentration of Earth's post-nuclear tests—proved a planet-wide apocalypse. But the deeper shock? The monuments' geometry encoded a warning: the distances of Mars' moons (Phobos and Deimos—"fear" and "terror") formed a temple-like formula, a cosmic plea against the abuse of light. This wasn't just science. It was a survival manual from a lost civilization.Interwoven with Haber's battles against chronic pain, kidney failure, and systemic deception, In Plain Sight bridges memoir and manifesto. It exposes:The PSYOP playbook (Apollo's illusions, 9/11's unanswered questions, COVID-19's psy-warfare).Elites repeating Mars' fatal mistakes—ignoring the *Xenon-129* red flag.UAPs and nuclear sites: Evidence that something—ancient AI or interstellar guardians—is forcing humanity to confront its self-destruction.In Plain Sight is more than a memoir—it's a manual for awakening. Because truth is the first casualty of war, and the first step toward peace. The choice is ours.https://amzn.to/4mi9lAzBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

Kennedy Assassination, the work they have uncovered and bought to representative Luna have produced two JFK related hearings and the release of stored records. Free Thinking Through the Fourth Turning with Sasha Stone

The death of Charlie Kirk and the reaction to it have shaken millions of Americans, at least those who have managed to hold on to their humanity in the past ten years. Even if the prominent Democrats in the party tried to project a uniform message of decency, to condemn the violence and offer condolences to the family, it was increasingly evident that they were no longer in control of their own party. Not even President Barack Obama himself could set the tone for these people, so consumed with hatred are they. Maybe they thought selling fear for ten years and calling Trump and his supporters an existential threat was a good idea because it would motivate their voters to the polls. Instead, they've created a Frankenstein monster that is now roaming the quiet countryside and scaring the crap out of normal Americans. They want all of us in this country to join them, to agree that Charlie Kirk got what he deserved. He supports gun rights, after all. That alone meant they would shed no tears for him, his wife, or his kids. That was the least of it. On TikTok, Blue Sky, and X, they went on and on, plastering the social media apps with negative stories about Kirk to erase any legacy the Right might try to build in his name. And maybe they thought the rest of America would agree that they should close off their hearts and separate themselves from their empathy to serve the greater political cause that has taken the place of just about everything else in their lives. But they miscalculated how normal people view violent death, especially political assassinations. On TikTok, many users were expressing their anger at the Left, and some of them even said this was it; they were no longer a part of the Democratic Party. Here is a video:And Jennifer Sey just registered as a Republican from “unaffiliated.”And Colin Wright redrew his famous chart:This is the last thing the Democrats needed. All they have left is Zohran Mamdani and Gavin Newsom's meme factory of would-be nepo babies of the Lincoln Project. They have no vision, no hope, no policies, no fixes, no solutions - nothing. All they have is this. Their hatred of anyone who doesn't conform and comply. Their approval rating has never been lower. Registrations are down by the millions. They're losing the support of Gen-Z. They have no plan to bring voters in except to draw more militant fanatics, and now, they've once again exposed how lacking in any common decency they have become. Congratulations, Democrats, oops, you did it again. From the New York Post:They're an army of Lord of Flies whose parents coddled them and raised them to believe all of their finger paintings were masterpieces, that their traumas defined them, and were “gentle-parented,” and when that didn't work, were drugged into perfection. They don't seem to understand that no one deserves to die just for having a different opinion. When one person's death means nothing to you and all you do is make a video where you calmly recite the reasons you don't care and why no one else should care? What is left of you? They sound like modern versions of the Stepford Wives who say exactly what they're supposed to say, repeating it almost word for word like robots:There is no one to pull them back from the brink. They collect so many likes that it messes with their heads. Their followers demand more, give us more. They're punished if they dissent, if they disagree, if they do any critical thinking whatsoever. Anyone who uses TikTok and any social media app knows that it's dominated by the Left. We built it, after all, oh so long ago. Even the Democrats themselves are under the control of the fanatics in their party, which is why they all felt emboldened to boo Charlie Kirk's name when they called for a moment of silence. Even if they didn't agree with it, why would they want to show the public just how petty they are?Not that we needed this tragic event to expose that ugly truth. It's been obvious for some time that the Left has been hijacked by the modern equivalent of the Manson Family. Joe Biden was the George Spahn-like figure who presented the mask of normalcy for what was most definitely not normal. All they had to do was the bare minimum, either stay silent or offer condolences and some generic comment on free speech and how political violence is never okay. But they couldn't even do that. Why? Because there is nothing left of them. All they have is this pathological need to control everyone and everything, whether it's destroying the careers of convicted thought criminals or celebrating their assassinations. All they know is they wanted them gone. In all of their lies about Charlie Kirk, their endless posts with hundreds of thousands of likes that prop up their own manufactured goodness as if to say, See, we still have the moral high ground, they came off somehow looking worse than they ever have. Charlie Kirk was a nice guy. They're celebrating his death because they didn't know that. They didn't know that because no one would tell them. Not their own social media feeds, not the legacy media. And when Ezra Klein tried to tell them with a New York Times op-ed, they began attacking him too, because of course they did. The dehumanization is a feature, not a bug. Here is Benny Johnson and Chris Cuomo:The Left so badly wants this to be a “both sides” issue, but it isn't. The Right mourned the death of Congresswoman Melissa Hortman. They did not blanket X or Blue Sky or any other social media site, smearing her. They would not have posted something like this on the Right:But until the people with the real power on the Left condemn them, nothing will change. They can make any false reality they want. They can tell themselves any lies they want. But what we've seen now in how they've responded to something that would shake any normal person out of their partisan stupor could cost them not just for the midterms but for 2028 and beyond. They think they have the narrative well in hand because the media is so supportive of everything they do. But every once in a while, they go too far, and they end up red-pilling Americans who shrink back in horror at who and what they've become and want no part of it.I am not saying “The Left” killed Charlie Kirk. Maybe someone on the Left did. Maybe they didn't. It doesn't really matter because they've shown their true colors in their perilous moment in our history. It's like that scene in The Dead Zone when Martin Sheen picks up the baby to protect himself. There is no unseeing that. They might think the silencing of Charlie Kirk will cripple the MAGA movement and everything he's done to build Turning Point USA and mobilize the young. But because of his death, MAGA will be more energized, not less, more motivated, not less, more determined than ever to save America from this madness. And they must because they are our only hope.Charlie Kirk has left a legacy, whether they realize it or not. It isn't just how psychotic they've become, and how so many of us have fled. But it's all of those young people he inspired who adored him. They will remember the assassination of Charlie Kirk. It will shape their youth the way the killing of Martin Luther King, Jr., RFK, and JFK shaped generations before. They will know that he was killed to silence him, and they will remember how the Left reacted to his death. And they will grow up knowing that it was wrong. Most of all, they will know that he built a movement that would ultimately defeat the most powerful political machine in American history. And if he can do it, so can they./// This is a public episode. If you'd like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit www.sashastone.com/subscribe

The assassination of young conservative leader Charlie Kirk is Generation Z's watershed moment. Like the murder of JFK was to boomers and the attempted killing of Ronald Reagan was to Gen X, America's youngest adults have witnessed both the attempted assassination of President Trump and now the political slaying of a man who spoke directly to them, with with, on their ground. The slaying of Charlie Kirk yesterday in front of thousands of young college students in the Utah sunshine was a watershed moment. The senseless slaying of Charlie Kirk represents a critical juncture in the future of America.

Episode 291  is the fourth  episode of our mini-series on the Tippit murder.  It is completely dedicated to the story of witness Acquilla Clemons.  David Belin, the celebrated Warren Commission attorney called this murder the "Rosetta Stone" of the JFK assassination. It may very well be... just that! In  this  episode we continue with coverage at the crime  scene and address a little known witness that the authorities sidestepped. She was discovered by Vincent Salandria working with Mark Lane at the time. Mrs. Clemons eventually (and  reluctantly) participated in several interviews... including one with Mark Lane in his quest to produce the book (and later the film) Rush to Judgement. She is considered a key but controversial witness in that her account differs markedly from the official witnesses interviewed by the authorities. That day, she saw two men at the scene, one short and kind of chunky and one who was tall. After the shooting, one  of the men motioned to the other, and then  both went in different directions down 10th street. This narrative was embraced by certain researchers including John Armstrong who integrated it with his complex theory of the two Oswalds. She is corroborated by several others including witness Frank Wright and an anonymous letter written to Playboy magazine by a person who claimed that he was also there at the scene and that at least six others witnessed the same thing. Other witnesses who were part of the official record  (such as Virginia Davis and Sam Guinyard)  may have seen elements of what she saw. These first few episodes of the mini-series provide  a deep dive into those events at the crime scene itself. There is so much more to come. In this mini-series, we examine the evidence, and delve into the bewildering array of contradictory eyewitness testimonies, from those who struggled to identify Oswald, to others like  todays focus on Aquilla Clemons, who bravely reported seeing not one, but two men at the murder scene, neither resembling Oswald. And we hear of witnesses such as Mrs. Clemons that were subsequently threatened into silence or submission. And of course…all of this has  lead some very well respected  researc

Another mind bending podcast.  We begin with a general conversation about the terrible event yesterday where a political commentator was gunned down. I mentioned how we've spoken in the past to people on the flipside including Martin Luther King, Bobby Kennedy, JFK and others who have been killed for their political views.  Unusually, there's a voice that can be heard saying something when I mentioned Robert Kennedy (Bob? Bobby?) that seems to be correcting me. Be that as it may, we begin by speaking to Luana about the "Ohoponopono prayer" (I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you) that our friend Office K introduced me to recently - and the data that shows that there's a positive effect with people who've used it.  I asked Luana Anders, our moderator on the flipside to give us some guidance or explanation about the prayer and why it might be effective. Then Luana wanted to talk about the UAP conference given in Washington DC yesterday.. I don't know if Jennifer had seen it, but I did - and so we got into a discussion about "aliens" and "alien aircraft" from the perspective of FIVE - the head librarian of Akashic libraries (in this region he once told us.) FIVE has appeared in a number of session I've recorded - with other people, 5 appears in the book DIVINE COUNCILS IN THE AFTERLIFE, also on the podcast if one looks up the word "Five" - he uses the number as there's no gender associated with it.  So people won't be confused about 5 being a god or goddess, or librarian. Another term which has no gender attached to it. Five has often been funny and deeply profound, and is the same in this podcast.  Five talks about how aliens are interdimensional, but also how they cannot appear on the planet without "permission" or "being allowed to do so for benevolent reasons."   Five protested that my use of the word "Benevolent" was too strong a word, as it seemed he was saying "they cannot do harm." Prince weighs in at the end to talk about how music is frequency and from the heart. As usual - mind bending conversation about mind bending stuff. I am aware of the high pitched hum in the recording, but did not hear it while recording and tried to tune it out without harming the quality of voices. So apologies for those who are hearing it. Thanks for tuning in!

Every once in a while, something extraordinary happens in rock'n'roll…I hate the use of the cliché of “a perfect storm,” but that's precisely what I'm talking about…a bunch of things involving culture, politics, demographics, economics and technology all collide and mix in just the right way for something totally new and unexpected to be created… Lemme give you some examples…Elvis came along in the 1950s just as millions of post-war kids—these new constructs that were now called “teenagers”—began gravitating to new radio stations that played music derived from a mix of the blues, country and R&B… This music greatly annoyed their parents, something that made it dangerous and forbidden… In 1964, the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show with a fresh, new sound that helped drag America out of the funk that followed the assassination of JFK…as far as rock is concerned, the 60s really began that February night in 1964… Let's try something more current…you might remember the appearance of the music video in the early 80s transformed the industry…. or the time you heard “smells like teen spirit” for the first time and immediately you somehow knew that whatever came next in the 90s would be very, very different… And hip hop? don't get me started…there are people—academics! —who will argue that the appearance of hip hop in popular culture was an even bigger deal that the Beatles… There's one other event that we need to include on this list: the rise of punk rock in the mid-70s…as it was happening, it was no big deal…it was an aberration, a niche thing that indulged weirdos and misfits… “It's just noise,” said the rock purists. “Ignore it and it'll go away.” But it didn't…in fact, we're still talking about punk…and punk became more than just a form of music… it became a way of thinking and acting and creating and presenting…it's music, film, visual art, literature, dance, politics… it altered much of western thought…the punk aesthetic—that “screw you, I'm gonna do it anyway” ethos—can be found virtually everywhere in society today… But what led to this? What were the factors that led to the rise of this music? And how did it appear worldwide at virtually the same time in an era long, long before the internet? Great questions…. let's see if we can find the answer to the question: “Why did punk happen at all?” Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Gerry Did It!: Gerry Hemming and the Assassination of JFK - Mr. Alan Jules WebermanMr. Alan Jules Weberman Gerry Patrick Hemming invented Oswald. He first met him at Subic Bay when they were both in the Marines and him and Oswald when Huk hunting together - sneaking off base a killing Philippine communist guerrillas. Having committed murders together Oswald trusted Hemming who introducted hi to Angleton who sent Oswald to the Soviet Union to give info needed to shoot down U-2 and sabotage Summit Talks. Oswald returned, a re-defector, a Hemming got the bright idea to use him in a plot to kill the President of the United States and blame it on Fidel Castro. He had Oswald doing all kinds of stuff prior to the assassination like shooting at his friend Walker, going to the Sportsdrome Range and more. He offered him twice what Oswald paid for his Mannlicher Carcano and had he bring it to the TSBD the day of the big event. I got to know Gerry Hemming and his family pretty well and believe me he was a piece of work. He was unpredictable. He served as a conscience for Frank Sturgis who was a psychopathic killer. Hemming wrote this incredible scenario, Oswald forms Fair Play for Cuba Committee, gets in a staged fight with anti-Castro types, goes to Mexico City to get a visa to travel to Cuba. If he had been granted the visa he would have just got back from Cuba before he did the hit and it would look like Fidel put him up to it. You got to understand that all these dudes knew Fidel and was part of his revolution only to find out he was a Communist and a traitor. Hemming was locked up by Castro. The named INTERPEN, his anti-Castro group is in Oswald's Address Book. Ed opperman interview Mark Shaw about the murder of Dorothy KilgallenWas What's My Line TV Star, media icon, and crack investigative reporter and journalist Dorothy Kilgallen murdered for writing a tell-all book about the JFK assassination? If so, is the main suspect in her death still at large? These questions and more are answered in former CNN, ESPN, and USA Today legal analyst Mark Shaw's 25th book, The Reporter Who Knew Too Much. Through discovery of never-before-seen videotaped eyewitness interviews with those closest to Kilgallen and secret government documents, Shaw unfolds a “whodunit” murder mystery featuring suspects including Frank Sinatra, J. Edgar Hoover, Mafia Don Carlos Marcello and a "Mystery Man" who may have silenced Kilgallen. All while by presenting through Kilgallen's eyes the most compelling evidence about the JFK assassinations since the House Select Committee on Assassination's investigation in the 1970s.Called by the New York Post, “the most powerful female voice in America,” and by acclaimed author Mark Lane the “the only serious journalist in America who was concerned with who killed John Kennedy and getting all of the facts about the assassination,” Kilgallen's official cause of death reported as an overdose of barbiturates combined with alcohol, has always been suspect since no investigation occurred despite the death scene having been staged. Shaw proves Kilgallen, a remarkable woman who broke the "glass ceiling" before the term became fashionable, was denied the justice she deserved, that is until now. More about the book may be learned at thereporterwhoknewtoomuch.com or thedorothykilgallenstory.org.Part Two Ed Opperman interviews Daniel Hopsicker, Author of Barry and The Boys, about Barry Seal the CIA cocaine smuggler durring Iran Contra and the subject of the Tom Cruise movie American MadeNOTE: Chapter 35 is intentionally missing from the printing of this publication. And all this before becoming famous for importing tons of cocaine through Mena, Arkansas in the Scandal that wont go away. The story of Barry Seal is the story of what happens when guys we pay to protect us CIA guys go into business with guys were paying them to protect us against.."Made" guys. Mobsters Organized Crime.Ripping the official story on the so-called "Clinton Scandals" to shreds, Barry and the Boys breaks the biggest scoop of all about the Arkansas Drug Connection: where the money went. And goesDid the big-time "players" in small backwards Arkansas Bill Clinton, Vince Foster, Jackson Stephens, Jim Blair, Don Tyson stand idly by while Barry Seal made billions of dollars importing cocaine through their state?Or were the "goings-on in Mena" of Barry and the boys just the continuation of business as usual?Americas Secret HistoryRevealed:Youll learn about the incredible involvement with Seals narcotics smuggling organization of top officials in both major American political parties Republican Attorney General Ed Meese Democratic National Chairman Charles Manatt Al Gores Campaign Chairman, Tony CoelhoYoull discover why a young Arkansas Attorney named Bill Clinton signed a "get-out-of-jail-free" personal recognizance bond for Barry Seal, after Seal had been jailed for drug smuggling in Menain the 70s.And youll learn of the suspicious and long-lasting link between smuggler Barry Seal and the Bush Family, Senior and Junior. Most importantly, youll discover why a photograph taken by a night club photographer in a Mexico City nightspot ten months before the Kennedy assassination holds the key to the shadowy organization responsible for the massive corruption in Bill Clinton's Arkansas twenty years laterCommenting on the CIAs affair with the Mafia, L.B.J.s press secretary, Bill Moyers said, "Once we decide that anything goes, anything can come home to haunt us."After youve read Barry and the boys youll understand what he meant.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

Boston is one of those cities that just gets under your skin in the best way possible. Equal parts old-school history and modern-day hustle, it's where cobblestone streets meet glass skyscrapers, where the story of America was born, and where you can eat your body weight in lobster rolls without a shred of regret.Founded in 1630 by English Puritans, Boston has played host to some of the most pivotal events in U.S. history—the Boston Tea Party, the Battle of Bunker Hill, and even the first public park in America. Today, it's a vibrant mix of college-town energy, cutting-edge innovation, and diehard sports fandom (you'll never hear a “Go Sox!” shouted with more passion than here).I recently spent five days exploring Boston like a local, armed with a loose plan, comfy walking shoes, and an appetite big enough to conquer the city's legendary food scene. Here's how it all went down—my perfect Boston adventure. Day 1: Arrival & First Taste of the CityFlying into Logan International Airport is a breeze—it's practically right in the city. But here's your first Boston pro-tip: skip renting a car if you can. Boston traffic is next-level chaotic, parking is expensive, and the city is surprisingly walkable. Between the subway (locals call it “the T”) and Uber, you'll get around just fine.Of course, I had to test the rental car waters—$368 for two days of a Nissan Rogue—and let me tell you, the line alone made me question my life choices. If you do rent, book with a company that lets you walk straight to the garage and grab your car. Otherwise, hop in an Uber and save yourself the headache.Where to StayI split my stay between two totally different vibes:Hampton Inn & Suites Watertown – Budget-friendly ($100 a night) and great if you don't mind being just outside the city. Parking in Boston can run you $30 a day, so staying here helped balance the budget.Copley Square Hotel (FOUND Hotels) – Right in the heart of Back Bay, this historic gem ranges from $300–$600 a night. My corner-view studio overlooked the breathtaking Trinity Church at sunset, and it felt like waking up inside a postcard. Designed in 1877 by architect H.H. Richardson, this place is dripping with Richardsonian Romanesque charm—arched windows, rough stone, and colorful details. Around Copley, you'll also find:Fairmont Copley Plaza (1912) – A Gilded Age beauty and part of the Historic Hotels of America.Boston Public Library McKim Building (1895) – A Renaissance Revival masterpiece with white marble halls and free daily tours at 2 pm. Don't skip it; the architecture is jaw-dropping.Old South Church (1873) – A National Historic Landmark in Northern Italian Gothic style, complete with multicolored stone and a towering bell.John Hancock Tower (1976) – Boston's tallest skyscraper at 790 feet, shimmering in blue glass. After a long travel day, we celebrated our first night with dinner at Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar. Order the lobster guacamole and grilled elote—and when in Boston, remember the golden rule: always order seafood. Steaks are for later. Oh, and if you see Scrod on the menu? Don't panic. It's not a weird mythical fish; it's just the white catch of the day—usually cod or haddock. Day 2: Walking Through HistoryIf Boston had a greatest hits album, it would be the Freedom Trail—a 2.5-mile path that connects 16 historic sites and tells the story of America's revolution. You can do it self-guided, join a regular tour, or go all out with an actor-led adventure (think Paul Revere cosplay).Morning Coffee & Boston CommonStart with caffeine at Thinking Cup Coffee Bar, then wander into Boston Common, the oldest public park in America (1634). It's massive, filled with monuments, and now home to the striking Embrace Memorial, honoring Martin Luther King Jr.From there, the trail unfolds like a time machine:Massachusetts State House (1798) – Charles Bulfinch's golden-domed wonder, still home to the state government.Park Street Church (1809) – Once Boston's tallest landmark, it sits on the site of the city's old grain storage.Granary Burying Ground (1660) – Final resting place of heavyweights like John Hancock, Sam Adams, and Paul Revere.King's Chapel & Burying Ground (1686) – Boston's first Anglican church, with over 330 years of history.Boston Latin School Site (1635) – The oldest public school in America; today it's marked by a Benjamin Franklin statue.Old Corner Bookstore (1718) – Once the publishing hub of legends like Hawthorne, Longfellow, and Thoreau. Now… a Chipotle (I wish I were kidding).Lunch at Union Oyster HouseBy now, you'll be starving. Enter Union Oyster House, America's oldest continuously operating restaurant (since 1826). The JFK booth is a must-sit, and yes—you're ordering a lobster roll.Afternoon: Monuments & Baseball MagicDon't miss the New England Holocaust Memorial—six glass towers etched with survivor stories, both sobering and moving. Then, if you're lucky enough to visit in season, cap off your night at Fenway Park. Whether it's catching a Red Sox game, snagging early batting practice passes, or just soaking up the energy at Cask 'n Flagon across the street (hot tip: persistence pays when getting a table here), Fenway is pure Boston. Day 3: More Freedom Trail & North End TreatsStart with breakfast at Quincy Market, the ultimate food hall. Then dive back into history:Old South Meeting House (1729) – Where colonists debated tea taxes and kicked off the Boston Tea Party.Old State House (1713) – Boston's oldest public building, central to colonial politics.Boston Massacre Site (1770) – A simple cobblestone marker for one of America's darkest sparks of revolution. From here, pop back into Quincy Market for another lobster roll (yes, it's worth a second one).Keep following the trail:Faneuil Hall (1742) – “Cradle of Liberty” where fiery speeches once filled the air. Today, it's mostly a giant souvenir shop, but the echoes of history remain.Paul Revere House (1680) – The patriot's humble home. Tours are intimate but no photos allowed inside.Old North Church (1723) – Where lanterns signaled “One if by land, two if by sea.” Take the tour to see the crypt and bell chamber.Cannoli TimeBoston's North End is an Italian dreamland, so refuel at Mike's Pastry with a giant cannoli. (Pro tip: get a few extra to-go. You'll thank me later.)End the night at Bell in Hand Tavern (1795), America's oldest continuously operating tavern. It's rowdy, it's historic, and it's the perfect spot for your nightcap. Day 4: Big Battles & Big ShipsIf your legs aren't jelly yet, tackle the Bunker Hill Monument. Climb the 294 steps for killer views of the city. From there, wander over to the USS Constitution, aka “Old Ironsides,” the oldest commissioned warship afloat. The ship and museum are free and make for an epic history-meets-maritime adventure. For a modern twist, hop in an Uber to the JFK Presidential Library & Museum—a sleek, inspiring deep dive into the Camelot era. Afterward, head to Sam Adams Brewery in Jamaica Plain. Tours start at $10, include tastings, and give you all the Boston beer vibes. Day 5: Art, Rainy-Day Magic & Sunset on the HarborBoston weather can turn on a dime, so I saved indoor treasures for day five.Morning: Museum of Fine ArtsThe MFA is massive, so choose wisely:Jewelry lovers: Beyond Brilliance exhibit (ancient to modern sparkle, with Chanel and Bulgari highlights).Classicists: Greek, Roman, and Byzantine collections.Painters-at-heart: Dutch & Flemish gallery with works by Rembrandt and Rubens.Quirky souls: Dollhouses and temporary Van Gogh exhibits.Fuel up at the museum café before heading out.Evening: Sunset Harbor CruiseOur trip ended on the water, with a Boston Harbor sunset cruise. Even in the rain, the top deck views were worth it. There's a buffet dinner, DJ, and plenty of space to dance—because no Boston trip is complete without one last celebration. Other Boston Must-Dos (If You Have Time)Duck Boat Tour – Amphibious buses that roam the streets then splash into the Charles River. Cheesy? Yes. Fun? Also yes.Cheers Pub – Grab a drink where everybody used to know your name.Green Dragon Tavern – A revolutionary haunt turned modern-day pub.Boston Burger Co. or Wahlburgers – Because you need at least one outrageous burger on this trip. Final ThoughtsBoston is the kind of city that can be done in a weekend but deserves a week. It's history you can touch, seafood you'll crave long after, and neighborhoods that feel like they've been waiting just for you.If you only had one day, I'd say walk the Freedom Trail—it's Boston in a nutshell. But if you want to experience the city like a local? Take your time, eat the lobster rolls, get lost in the cobblestone streets, and maybe—just maybe—let Fenway turn you into a Red Sox fan for life.Boston, you're wicked awesome.

But it's not just congressional Democrats on offense, as his own family is blasting him as an “embarrassment.” Victor Davis Hanson breaks down the Kennedy family's hypocrisy—especially considering their silence on Ted Kennedy's Chappaquiddick scandal and JFK's infidelities—on today's episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” “ This is the irony. What is an embarrassment to the Kennedy family was not Bobby Jr. working for Donald Trump. It really wasn't. It was Ted Kennedy in 1969: a U.S. senator driving off a bridge with Mary Jo Kopechne, allowing her to drown in the car, and then for 24 hours, trying to fabricate a narrative that was completely a lie so he could get out of responsibility. And then using the Kennedy money and leverage in Massachusetts to get off with this, with no criminal exposure at all. A woman was killed. And yet, no one—none of the Kennedys said that he was a predator or he embarrassed them. “ You know what else is an embarrassment right now that Caroline Kennedy should be worried about? Her son, Jack Schlossberg. What has he done? He gets on social media, he made fun of Melania Trump's voice the other day and tried to wear a wig and ridicule her.”

Episode 290 is the third episode of our mini-series on the Tippit murder.  David Belin, the celebrated Warren Commission attorney called  it the "Rosetta Stone" of the JFK assassination. It may very well be... just that! In  this  episode we continue with coverage at the crime  scene and begin to educate ourselves on exactly what happened at 10th and Patton. These first few episodes of the mini-series provide  a deep dive into those events at the crime scene itself. There is so much more to come. And of course…all of this has  lead some very well respected  researchers such as John Armstrong  to theorize about a "two Oswalds" scenario in this murder, where multiple individuals resembling Oswald played roles in a larger deception.Yes…there is a grave possibility that   the true "Rosetta Stone" of November 22nd, 1963, might just lie in the quiet Dallas suburb of Oak Cliff, waiting for us to finally put the pieces together. This is a wander I've created especially for you…and of all the wanders you have taken with me, this may be the most thrilling of all! And don't worry, as the fall winds turn cooler, we will all be vacationing once again, in Mexico…I think  you know what I mean by that. But our new wander takes precedent. As usual, you'll experience the event with ear popping detail, as you listen up to what really happened. So stay tuned, and keep an eye out for what I think may be one of the best miniseries that we've done yet. It will be on the airwaves before you know it, and please let your friends in on this  one too…folks…you just cant write this stuff…

Episode 288 is the long awaited  first episode of our mini-series on the Tippit murder.  David Belin, the celebrated Warren Commission attorney called  it the "Rosetta Stone" of the JFK assassination. It may very well be... just that! In today's opening episode we go right to the scene of the crime and begin to educate ourselves on exactly what happened at 10th and Patton. This is the first of a group of episodes in the mini-series that provides a deep dive into those events at the crime scene itself. There is so much more to come.

Brad Zerbo and Jaytriot dive headfirst into the 1960s British Invasion, tracing how the Beatles' 1964 debut on The Ed Sullivan Show sparked a cultural explosion. They explore how the mop-top Beatles injected post-JFK-assassination America with joy and charisma, setting the stage for a flood of UK acts. From the Stones' bluesy swagger and the Who's proto-punk chaos to the Kinks' distorted riffs and the Zombies' haunting grooves, the hosts highlight how British bands reshaped American music while borrowing from U.S. blues and R&B. They dig into stories of staged hysteria, covers that outshone originals, and fights that got the Kinks banned from touring America. Along the way, they spin tracks from the Animals, Manfred Mann, the Yardbirds, and the Spencer Davis Group, tying it all to the seismic shifts in rock history. With personal anecdotes, humor, and even a nod to the “Paul is dead” rabbit hole, this episode captures how the British Invasion forever altered music, culture, and youth identity.

Another example of the kind of kismet that happens when Jennifer and I meet up. We don't plan a guest list, we have Luana Anders, our moderator on the Flipside who does that for us. In this episode, the first person that comes through is Mr. Bailey, Luana's cat.  When Luana was on her death bed, her cat escaped from her house and disappeared. She called me in a panic. My soon to be wife Sherry went with me to see if we could find her. Sherry went into the backyard and said a prayer aloud: "Mr. Bailey, Luana needs you now." The cat appeared in the tree above, and jumped into Sherry's arms, a person she'd never met. Mr. Bailey wanted to talk about how animals have the ability to communicate to the afterlife, and while people may have filters on the brain that prevent them from that awareness, animals do not. Mr. Bailey confirmed what we've heard in the past; "animals understand how incarnation works, but humans do not." Hard for some folks to contemplate; dogs smell cancer, elephants can communicate over ten miles, octopuses have 9 brains, and do more with one year of life than humans can do in 90.  Some other pets stopped by to give their support. Then former President Reagan stopped by.  He said that our interview with JFK (a number of years ago, it's in the book BACKSTAGE PASS TO THE FLIPSIDE) inspired him to say hello.  He pointed out that he's had a number of lifetimes with Nancy in the past - even if he was married to someone else to begin with. (Jane Wyman whom Ronald said "raised him.")  I asked who in our classroom of notaries had invited him and he said it was John McCain. John came by some years ago after he passed to ask us to pass along a private message to his daughter, which I did through a producer at Coast to Coast radio.  I don't know if she dismissed the message, as I've yet to hear from her. But in those earlier conversations he confirmed a number of things only he could know - or be aware of.  People I interviewed in his office for the film "Three for the Road" and later, talked about meeting his victims of the Vietnam war on the flipside - and them understanding each other as players in a drama. He talked about the politics of the era when he passed, and this veiled reference to Steve Schmidt's 2020 comments about the current President were what I was referring to as someone had reposted them the other day. We've heard it often - people act out difficult roles onstage to get others to react and do that thing that they're supposed to do.  However, in terms of political debate, the former President deferred from doing so - as he put it "I just came by to express concern for how divide the country is." I asked if there was any advice he could give - some kind of grand gesture or action people could do. His answer was simple, yet profound. Smile.  Start smiling to people we know, then more that to people we don't know, then move that to people we may not like. Just the physical act of smiling changes the paradigm, and everyone can do that on their own. It sounds miniscule - but instead of arguing with someone who clearly still exists on the flipside, I think it's wise to consider that they're saying instead of belittling or berating it.  He was consider the great communicator - and why not listen to his advice. To be clear; we've communicated with a number of Presidents, both Bushes, Jimmy Carter, LBJ, Nixon, JFK, FDR and Truman.  Again - I ask the questions and Jennifer gives verbatim what she's hearing or sensing. It's possible miscommunicate, but when you've been working with someone weekly for ten years, if one is paying attention, we can see that these folks show up often to talk to us. And in this case - Ronnie himself.  While people may start with a defensive posture - defending him, or upset that he might speak on our podcast - the point is that anyone can invite him to have a conversation and see what he says. As noted, we have the current President's father and brother on a podcast, and the last President's late son Beau on that same podcast. It's mind bending to hear them talk about the play we're all involved in.  How we should spend more time talking to each other, coming together, than coming apart. Hard to fathom in today's climate, that that is the message that is repeated often. Enjoy.

Critics call it ancestor worship and a dangerous psychological manipulation. 01:22:47 – Mental Health Surveillance in Schools Illinois and other states push universal mental health screenings, funneling kids into psychiatric labels and drugs. 1. Kingmaker: Pamela Harriman's Astonishing Life of Power, Seduction, and Intrigue by Sonia Purnell chronicles the extraordinary life of Pamela Digby, later Pamela Harriman, a woman who masterfully leveraged her personal connections and keen intellect to become a significant, albeit often behind-the-scenes, figure in 20th-century politics. Born into an aristocratic but cash-strapped family in rural Dorset in 1920, Pamela Digby received a limited education but possessed a sharp mind. Her desire to escape her constrained upbringing led her to an impetuous marriage with Randolph Churchill, Winston Churchill's son, in September 1939. Despite warnings about Randolph's philandering and abusive nature, she saw the marriage as a doorway to an exciting lifestyle and a way to avoid returning to Dorset. During World War II, as her marriage to Randolph deteriorated, Pamela forged a close bond with Winston Churchill. She quickly became Churchill's secret weapon, joining his inner circle, "Padlock," and gathering crucial intelligence from influential Americans. Her most notable liaison was with Averell Harriman, the 49-year-old in charge of Lend-Lease, whom she successfully "enlisted to the British cause" and "bewitched" with her charm and strategic "mating dance". She also influenced figures like CBS star Ed Murrow, feeding him information to bolster British support in American broadcasts. Her wartime experiences, including giving birth during a Blitz air raid, deeply shaped her perspective. After the war, Pamela continued to cultivate influential relationships, including with Gianni Agnelli of Fiat, whom she helped gain acceptance in Washington. She later moved to America, marrying producer Leland Hayward in the late 1950s. While in the US, she was a close friend of President John F. Kennedy, whose assassination deeply affected her. Following Leland Hayward's death, which left her financially depleted, Pamela re-encountered and married Averell Harriman. This marriage marked her full immersion into American politics. She transformed their Washington D.C. home into a hub for Democrats, making Harriman feel like a king and advancing her own influence. She was an early advocate for women's political involvement, pushing beyond the traditional role of a political hostess to focus on policy and candidates. Pamela became a crucial mentor to Bill Clinton after his 1980 gubernatorial loss, restoring his self-belief and providing strategic guidance, including advice on television appearances. Her efforts were instrumental in shaping the Democratic party and contributing to its successes, including Clinton's 1992 presidential victory. As a reward, President Clinton appointed her Ambassador to Paris, a role she embraced despite her lack of formal diplomatic training. In this position, she played a decisive role in strengthening Franco-American relations and bringing a "moral compass" to the Bosnia crisis, drawing on her own wartime experiences to urge intervention. Pamela Harrimandied in 1997 from a brain hemorrhage, with Bill Clinton delivering an emotional eulogy, acknowledging her indispensable role in his political journey and her significant contributions to the 20th century. 1827 FOREIGN OFFICE AND DOWNING STREET
