I'm sharing the lessons I learned moving from a small town to Philadelphia, and how that transition forced me to grow, stretch, and trust myself in new ways. We're also getting into the truth about fear: how it convinces us to stay still, shrink, or wait for “perfect timing.” Spoiler — that timing rarely comes. Sometimes you have to move and shake somethin', even when your knees are knocking. For many, comedian and writer, Stewart Lee, is the GOAT so Jemma and Marina were thrilled to sit down with him to chat about the state of the world, how to deal with mad relatives, Brexit, Trump, how he fills his spare time and everything in between. Lee is described on Wikipedia as having an onstage persona that alternates between 'that of an outspoken left-wing hero and that of a depressed failure and champagne socialist who criticises his audience for not being intelligent enough to understand his jokes.' This is all like catnip to The Trawl so Marina and Jemma knew their meeting with the comedy legend would not disappoint. Spoiler, it didn't. Celebrity News: Busty Granny, $2M Jingles & the Greatest Debut Albums Ever

    The Rizzuto Show

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 29, 2026 40:28

Welcome to your daily comedy podcast, where absolutely nothing makes sense and we like it that way.Today's show kicks off with a story that nobody asked for but everyone will remember forever: a 73-year-old former born-again Christian reinventing herself as an escort named Busty Granny. She spent decades in prayer and celibacy, then hit 57, downloaded the internet, and said “oh… THIS is what we've been missing.” Now she's got clients young enough to still have homework and zero interest in OnlyFans because, quote, that sounds boring. Inspirational? Traumatizing? Both. Then we get into the most depressing career math of all time: a woman casually sings seven words into her phone for a Dr Pepper jingle and walks away with $2 million, while the rest of us are out here working full-time jobs and eating gas-station sandwiches. Naturally, this leads to the crew trying to invent jingles for every brand that will absolutely never call back.Somehow that spirals into one of the most fun debates we've had in a while — the biggest debut albums of all time. We're talking massive numbers, MTV miracles, and how one 4am spin turned a “failed” album into a 50-million-copy monster. Along the way we argue, forget basic facts, remember them loudly, and realize radio used to be way more powerful than TikTok will ever admit.Movies get dragged (respectfully… mostly), Brendan Fraser gets the comeback love he deserves, and we debate whether seeing a movie in a theater automatically adds two letter grades just because popcorn exists. In Crap on Celebrities, we hit everything from band lawsuits and surprise documentaries to tour dropouts, concert ticket chaos, and some genuinely heartbreaking but honest conversations about aging, memory, and how terrifying it is to not know what's happening inside your own brain. We also celebrate birthdays, overshare existential dread, and somehow end the show discussing a literal geyser of poop water blasting into the Potomac River — because if we're going to spiral, we're doing it together. It's another daily comedy podcast episode packed with weird news, pop culture, dark laughs, and moments where we all pause and go, “Wait… are we okay?”Spoiler: probably not. But at least we're funny.MUSICMotley Crue has officially won its heated legal battle against former guitarist Mick Mars. Lainey Wilson sure has kept herself busy. It was just announced that Netflix has officially acquired the new documentary "Lainey Wilson: Keepin' Country Cool". It drops on April 22nd. Two more artists have dropped out of the 2026 Rock the Country Festival. Morgan Wade and Carter Faith are no longer part of the lineup. And neither artist has shared an official reason for stepping away. Their exit comes just days after Ludacris also dropped out. His team called his original booking a "mix-up." The festival is headlined by Kid Rock and will feature Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Miranda Lambert, and more.In other Kid Rock News – he went to Congress to confront an issue we're all united on: How much Ticketmaster and Live Nation charge for shows. Quick Hits:Post Malone, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, and Slash will perform a special tribute to Ozzy Osbourne during the Grammys on Sunday night.Jack White posted a video showing off the next Third Man Vault package, Jimi Hendrix's Valley of the Jams 1969-1970. Check it out on Instagram.Tom Morello and Rise Against will headline A Concert of Solidarity & Resistance to Defend Minnesota Friday at noon at First Avenue in Minneapolis. TVThe fourth season of Ted Lasso is set to debut this summer. Stephen Colbert announced on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" that the final episode of "The Late Show" will air on Thursday, May 21. MOVING ON INTO MOVIE NEWS:Matthew Lillard recently caught a stray from Quentin Tarantino when he said he didn't care for him. But that resulted in an outpouring of love that made Matthew feel like he was living through his own wake. Actress and producer Patricia Schneider has filed for divorce from Rob Schneider, describing their 15-year marriage as "irretrievably broken" with no chance of reconciliation. Bill Cosby has admitted under oath that he obtained prescriptions for Quaaludes specifically to give to women. Bruce Willis' wife, Emma says Bruce is unaware of his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.AND FINALLYHere are five of the BEST:1. Jack Black: "I was begging my boss for an extra shift, he overheard and tipped me $100 on a $20ish tab. From then on, he never left me less than a $50 tip and would always check in with me when it was the end of the month to make sure I had rent cash."2. Harrison Ford: "My uncle said that he's incredibly nice and took the whole crew out for lunch to thank them for working on his helicopter."3. Justin Bieber: "He was by himself at a mall, and he wasn't trying to be incognito . . . He drew me in with a big hug and chatted me up. He was lovely."4. John Travolta: "The guy is totally down to earth . . . He is also someone who asks a lot of questions and is actually interested in what you have to say."5. Dolly Parton: "Can confirm that she's just as great as you'd assume. She was just so nice to everyone. She was a lot smaller than I expected."Here are five of the WORST:1. Jennifer Lopez: "She was super rude and dismissive . . . and had this attitude that she was better than you."2. Jenna Fischer from "The Office": "[She] was really difficult to work with. Just really demanding."3. Jared Leto: "[He's] a narcissistic [A-hole]. He complains about every single thing and really enjoys being difficult. I think he does it for fun."4. Diana Ross: "[She] cut in front of me at the airport check-in counter once . . . I was flabbergasted by this lady who had the guts to sweep in front of us AND touch the gate agent's computer."5. John Cusack: "Outside of a restaurant: 'Hey, Mr. Cusack, I like your movies.' . . . 'I don't care.'"AND THAT IS YOUR CRAP ON CELEBRITIES! Welcome to another thought-provoking episode of the Building Your Money Machine Show. In this episode, I'm tackling one of the biggest misconceptions in personal finance: that net worth is the best predictor of wealth and financial freedom. Spoiler alert—it isn't. I'm breaking down why net worth alone is an incomplete metric, why so many people with high net worth still feel financially stressed, and, most importantly, the real number you need to focus on to create the life and freedom you truly desire.Through my decades as a CPA, entrepreneur, and money mentor, I've watched people chase ever-higher net worths, only to stay stuck on the financial hamster wheel. I've seen individuals who look wealthy on paper but feel just one bad month away from panic, while others with far less accumulated “net worth” live calm, and confident lives. The difference? It's all in what your money can actually do for you.I'll introduce you to key ratios and calculations that show exactly how close your assets are to buying your freedom—starting with your “cash flow coverage ratio.” IN TODAY'S EPISODE, I DISCUSS:Why US household net worth is at an all-time high, but financial stress is everywhereThe dangerous illusion of traditional net worthThe assets you must exclude when planning for lifestyle supportWhy the “cash flow coverage ratio” is the true metric for financial freedomHow to assess which of your assets are “teammates” supporting your lifeMy three-bucket system for structuring your moneyStep-by-step action planRECOMMENDED EPISODES FOR YOUIf you liked this episode, click here to enjoy these and more:https://melabraham.com/show/9 Subtle Behaviors That Quietly Signal You're Upper ClassThe Psychology of People Who Have $1M Net WorthThe Silent Rules of the Financial System That Keep You Poor7 Assets Rich People Never Buy And The Poor Always DoHow Much Money Do You Actually Need to Be Rich in 2026RECOMMENDED VIDEOS FOR YOU If you liked this video, you'll love these ones:9 Subtle Behaviors That Quietly Signal You're Upper Class: https://youtu.be/dbdUDwElYY0The Psychology of People Who Have $1M Net Worth: https://youtu.be/-65r-OsaHMEThe Silent Rules of the Financial System That Keep You Poor: https://youtu.be/akr5474dwps7 Assets Rich People Never Buy And The Poor Always Do: https://youtu.be/A9f-IgNKU8wORDER MY NEW USA TODAY BESTSELLING BOOK:Building Your Money Machine: How to Get Your Money to Work Harder For You Than You Did For It!The key to building the life you desire and deserve is to build your Money Machine—a powerful system designed to generate income that's no longer tied to your work or efforts. That's right, the dream team is back, and they're diving headfirst into the absurdity of home safety regulations. Ever wondered why your mattress has to be fireproof? Well, it turns out it's all because of one person who decided to light up in bed—thanks a lot, random statistic! Expect some eye-rolling sarcasm as we dissect the ridiculousness of these regulations that dictate our lives. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to spray chemicals on our mattresses because someone dropped the ball on fire safety? Welcome to the world of home improvements where logic often takes a backseat to paranoia. But wait, there's more! In the second hour, we'll shift gears and tackle the riveting world of home ventilation systems with Ken Nelson from Panasonic Ecosystems. Get ready to hear about forehead dusters—yes, that's what we call the fancy gadgets that do little more than push stale air around. Spoiler alert: they don't actually remove moisture; they just distribute it like a bad cologne. You're going to love hearing about the building codes that make sure your kitchen ventilation actually works and doesn't just look pretty. If you thought home improvement was straightforward, think again! With all this banter, you'll be laughing while learning how to improve your home without losing your sanity. So, grab your headphones, settle into your most comfortable futon (or whatever sketchy sleeping arrangement you have), and join us for a two-hour escapade filled with laughter, insights, and just a sprinkle of sarcasm. Welcome to The Rizzuto Show — the funny podcast that proves trivia is less about knowing answers and more about how loudly you can defend the wrong ones.On this episode, the crew dives headfirst into another round of trivia Matchup, a game designed to test knowledge, memory, logic, and emotional stability… and somehow only one of those things shows up. Moon, Learn, Rafe, and King Scott take turns absolutely torching their own credibility while attempting to answer questions that sound easy until your brain fully abandons you under pressure. We kick things off with Moon vs. Learn, a showdown that immediately spirals thanks to Barbie lore, calories, immortal honey, and the eternal question: what actually is a group of flamingos called? (Spoiler: nobody feels confident, but Moon feels confident anyway.) Marco Polo's nationality becomes a full vibe-based argument, Friends episode counts get wildly inflated, and logic is applied in ways science has specifically asked us not to.Then it's Rafe vs. King Scott, and this is where things truly get unhinged. Zodiac signs become public enemies, water signs are debated like conspiracy theories, and Rumpelstiltskin's straw-to-gold origin story is somehow made harder than it's been for centuries. Insulin, Yellowstone Lake, Johnny Carson, and the circumference of the Earth all take collateral damage as the crew confidently locks in answers that history itself disagrees with. What makes this episode special isn't who wins — it's how everyone loses just a little bit. The trash talk is elite, the confidence is unearned, and the logic is aggressively creative. This is The Rizzuto Show in peak form: loud, sarcastic, self-aware, and completely unbothered by being wrong as long as it's entertaining. If you love daily chaos, dumb confidence, and the sound of your own brain yelling “HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THIS?” at your speakers, this funny podcast is exactly what you signed up forFollow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MOSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

They give short life updates and talk a little about the indoor results from the weekend. Indoor track is back and things are already fast and spicy! Then, they bring on Garrett. IWG (the parent company of Regus) just cold called you about turning your office building into a coworking space—and you have no idea how to evaluate their offer. This week, Jamie Russo breaks down exactly what landlords and building owners need to know before signing a management agreement with IWG, Regus, or any other operator offering a partnership model. Spoiler: they're not calling because your building is special. They're calling because you own a building. And that distinction matters—a lot. Jamie walks through the IWG partnership model, why they're pursuing landlords so aggressively right now, and the 13 critical questions you need to ask before even considering their offer. Because while IWG is incredibly good at sales, marketing, and designing efficient spaces, their incentives are not the same as yours. We talk about: Why IWG wants dots on the map—and what that means for your building How management fees work (and why they get paid even if you don't make profit) Why smaller spaces (under 15,000 sq ft) rarely work under a management agreement What happens if the space loses money—and who covers operating expenses The termination clause question you absolutely must ask How to evaluate demand assumptions, pricing, and occupancy ramp in their proforma Why you need to validate their numbers with a third party (and how to do that) When an IWG partnership might actually make sense What other options exist beyond IWG—and why you should explore them This episode is essential listening if you're a building owner considering flex, an operator who's been approached about a partnership, or anyone trying to understand how management agreements actually work in the coworking industry. Hello, Booty Gang—sound the alarms and clutch your pearls, because the whole gang is back in the studio. That's right: Dr. Carlton, Dangilo, and Producer Tony are all present, accounted for, and emotionally unprepared. This week's episode has everything: travel tales, worked holes (allegedly), international steam, and listener feedback that proves you are paying attention—and taking notes. Dr. Carlton kicks things off with a Palm Springs recap that can only be described as restorative, adventurous, and very hydrating. Let's just say the desert wasn't the only thing getting worked, and leave it there before the HOA gets involved.Meanwhile, Producer Tony returns freshly marinated from Italy and wastes zero time taking us inside a Florence bathhouse experience that answers the age-old question: Is the Renaissance alive and well? (Spoiler: yes, and she's naked.)In listener land, the Booty Gang is fired up. We've got two thoughtful, spicy reactions to our reaction to the Las Culturistas vs. Jasmine Crockett moment—because nothing says community like layered discourse with a side of shade. Add in a Booty Gangster who is struggling with dryness (we're talking Sahara, not personality), and another listener sliding into Dr. Carlton's inbox with questions about Spring Blooms that are less “fresh florals” and more “is this normal?”It's a classic Butt Honestly episode: equal parts sex-ed, group chat chaos, cultural commentary, and lovingly inappropriate oversharing. Educational? Yes. Unhinged? Occasionally. Entertaining? Always. So settle in, hydrate accordingly, and enjoy an episode that proves once again—when the whole crew shows up, things get slippery fast.

In this episode, we follow the trail of confidence, bad math, and worse decisions that inevitably lead to one very dumb criminal conclusion. This is a classic Dumbline, big ego, sloppy execution, and a criminal career that feels extremely Miami and extremely 1990s. Another reminder that confidence is not a plan, and crime is still dumb. Most Excellent 80s Movies Podcast

May the Schwartz Be With You: A Spaceballs Deep DiveWelcome to this episode of The Most Excellent 80s Movies Podcast! Hosts Krissy Lenz and Nathan Blackwell are joined by special guest Adam Marshall Rini to close out Season 8 with Mel Brooks' 1987 sci-fi parody Spaceballs. The trio explores whether this childhood favorite still holds up with "grown-up eyes," debating everything from Rick Moranis' concussed helmet performance to Pizza the Hut's grotesque puppet design. Spoiler alert: opinions are divided, with ratings ranging from a nostalgic seven cans of Perri-Air down to a disappointed four. What Really Works (and What Doesn't)The hosts agree that Spaceballs operates on a hit-or-miss ratio—about 50-50, which they concede is pretty solid for parody films. Nathan finds himself pleasantly surprised by how much heart the film retains compared to other spoofs, noting that Mel Brooks maintains character development even while throwing jokes at the wall. The merchandising gags, the "now/then" video scene, and Rick Moranis playing with dolls all earn praise as moments that still land decades later. However, Adam feels the weight of having seen Brooks' masterpieces like Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein, making Spaceballs feel disappointingly broad by comparison.Nostalgia vs. RealityThe conversation reveals how much expectation shapes our viewing experience. Nathan went in prepared to groan but found genuine enjoyment, while Adam's fond childhood memories collided with adult disappointment. Krissy appreciates the film's innocent, joyful approach to parody—it celebrates Star Wars rather than targeting it with edgy mockery. The group also notes how many dated references (Ford Galaxy cars, Michael Winslow's radar sounds) create an unintentional time capsule effect that's now charming rather than topical.Additional Highlights:The film's constant exposition and repeated revelations feel either intentionally melodramatic or surprisingly sloppyGeorge Lucas loved the movie and allowed Brooks to park the Millennium Falcon at the dinerBill Pullman's face-plant sound effect and Mel Brooks buckling a bear into a space pod remain comedy goldThe Yuma, Arizona sand dunes provided the perfect backdrop for the desert planet scenesWatching double features of Mel Brooks films reveals his decline from Blazing Saddles through Robin Hood: Men in TightsFinal VerdictDespite mixed ratings, the hosts agree Spaceballs remains a revisitable piece of 80s comedy—even if it doesn't quite reach the heights of Brooks' earlier work. Giselle lays out an ambitious itinerary—Four Seasons luxury, fly fishing, open-fire lunch, brunch, honky-tonk bars, and a tight flight window—and immediately puts it to a group vote. Spoiler: democracy fails.Tension builds as the ladies split on activities, logistics, and where people actually slept. Some cast members (Angel, Tia, and K) don't stay at the Four Seasons despite Giselle securing rooms, which sparks trust issues and resentment before sunrise.By morning, the group is fractured, running on fumes, and literally driving in the wrong direction. Timers count down to the flight while Angel's GPS betrays everyone, turning a luxe private-jet getaway into gas-station snacks and portable bathrooms. The fly-fishing excursion—complete with chef, guides, and untouched food—becomes the trip that never happens.Meanwhile, old wounds explode in the car. Stacey and Jassi finally address loyalty, Charisse, exchanged phone numbers, wedding support, and a shocking revelation about secretly recorded phone calls. Wendy jumps in hard, sides are taken, voices are raised, and insults fly. Stacey walks away, bags in hand, while the group debates “realness” versus betrayal.Eventually, emotions crack. Tears fall, hugs happen, and relationships are loosely patched—but not healed. The episode ends with rain, exhaustion, and the unmistakable feeling that this trip broke more than it fixed. The final moments roll into life updates: wins, losses, breakups, legal trouble, business priorities, family shifts—and a jaw-dropping tease of Karen's release from jail, setting up a must-watch season finale.Support the showhttps://www.wewinewhenever.com/

Stone hits Jorge and Jake with a round of Beer Math, asking the real questions—like how many beers it would actually take for certain highly questionable scenarios to happen. We also dive into football talk, breaking down the chaos of the Seahawks vs. Patriots facing off in the Super Bowl, and Jake flips the script with a money question: just how much would $1,000 invested in major companies back in 2000 be worth today? Spoiler: it's more than beer money.Cold beer, hot takes, bad math, and even worse financial hindsight—crack one open and enjoy.YoTummy: https://yotummy.com/

Greg Alba & Michael Tessler react to Episode 7 of Season 2 of Prime Video's Fallout, the penultimate chapter that pushes every storyline to the brink as the endgame finally comes into focus. With the series' trademark blend of dark humor, brutal consequences, and Fallout lore, this episode sets the board for an explosive finale where, once again, war never changes. The episode centers on Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell – Yellowjackets, Army of the Dead) as she makes a fateful choice that could redefine her moral compass and her place in the wasteland. Maximus (Aaron Moten – Father Stu, Next) is forced to confront the truth of his past in a reckoning that may finally unlock his future within the Brotherhood of Steel. Meanwhile, The Ghoul / Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins – Justified, The Hateful Eight) seeks out an unexpected ally as his long, painful journey continues to test the limits of his humanity. Elsewhere, chaos brews behind closed doors as wedding bells ring inside the vault, raising unsettling questions about control, tradition, and survival. In a twist that widens the scope of the series even further, the story briefly ventures beyond familiar territory with a surprise stop in Canada, while shadowy management figures decide what to do about their growing imposter problem. With all the cards finally on the table, alliances shift, secrets surface, and the episode ends on a razor's edge—leaving one lingering question hanging in the irradiated air: does the House always win? Relationship Advice: Someone Shot a Snowplow & Apparently Mommy Farts Cure Depression

A daily comedy podcast where snowplows get shot, mommy farts save mental health, and modern dating officially makes no sense. Some shows ease you into the morning. The Rizzuto Show does Relationship Advice and kicks the door in with a story about someone firing a gun at a snowplow in Missouri — because apparently road rage now includes winter infrastructure. From there, things only get more educational… and by educational we mean learning that Harvard researchers say mommy farts might actually help regulate postpartum depression. Yes, really. Science is wild. This daily comedy show then takes a hard left turn into the disaster zone known as modern dating. Scott attempts to convince the room — and the audience — that saying “you enchant me” is a sexy, timeless compliment and not something said by a haunted Victorian doll. Spoiler alert: it does not go well. The crew debates whether romance is dead, whether dating apps ruined everything, and why Gen Z is now “vibe dating,” which sounds suspiciously like how humans used to meet before algorithms ruined love. From concerts and sporting events to rodeos, demolition derbies, and even Lowe's, the gang breaks down where people actually meet in real life — complete with horrifying throwback stories involving horse poop and missed romantic opportunities that still haunt them decades later. They also dive into why phone calls are extinct, why rom-coms lied to us, and whether knowing too much about someone upfront kills the magic entirely. This daily comedy show somehow manages to mix weird news, relationship talk, science, and pure nonsense into one long, hilarious spiral that feels exactly like hanging out with friends who should absolutely not be giving dating advice — but you're glad they are.If you want laughs, chaos, and a reminder that dating has always been messy (just with fewer apps and more horse crap), this episode delivers.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowMore from the show → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear it live: 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio | St. Louis, MOShots fired at Parkville snowplow in road rage attack New moms' farts may help with postpartum depression'Vibe Dating' Is Gen Z's New Compatibility Test. It is our favorite time of year: the 2026 Trend Report is here! Caroline, Taryn, and Liz are joined by the Ballard Designs Product Design Team—Hillary Park, and Will Turner—to break down exactly what is coming next in the world of interiors. The team reveals the surprising colors predicted to dominate (including "Green Glow" aka Slime and "Fresh Purple"), why "Builder Khaki" is making a nostalgic comeback, and the specific design aesthetic that bridges the gap between Gen Z and Boomers. They also discuss the move away from gray, the evolution of bouclé, and why your next gallery wall should feature "weird" personal art. Quick Decorating Takeaways: Brown is the New Black: Move over, cool grays. The team confirms that brown—from "Cocoa Powder" to "Builder Khaki"—is the dominant neutral for 2026. It pairs perfectly with the trending warm metals (like nickel) and "dirty" pastels. Embrace "Grandma Crafts": High-tech is out; analog is in. The trend of "Grandma Crafts" is huge, with needlepoint, embroidery, and paint-by-numbers becoming the ultimate way to unwind and decorate. Look for the "North Star": Celestial motifs are having a moment. Look for stars, moons, and zodiac themes in hardware, bedding, and fabrics as people seek direction and meaning in their homes. We dive into what Robert Monroe wrote in his book Ultimate Journey about what the highly sought after human export is that so desirable in the universe. Spoiler: it is not what you're probably thinking. We dive further into the third book in his series on his own out of body experiences and the great pieces of information he learned through his travels. Robert Monroe started The Monroe Institute and was one of the earliest proponents of trying to help people understand and experience out of body states or what he calls the nonphysical. You can listen to his mediation programs or visit the institute to learn these techniques. There is a lot of speculation and unfortunate conspiracy theories surrounding some of his ideas and information which he wrote about. He was indeed a pioneer.
