Send a textHaresh Patel is a Silicon Valley CEO turned HealthTech innovator who has spent his career solving complex systems across technology, finance, and human health.Born in India and raised in New Hampshire, Haresh earned his electrical engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame before beginning a 25 year journey in Silicon Valley. His leadership spanned semiconductor and technology companies including Texas Instruments, PMC Sierra, Agilent, and WJ Communications, before culminating in the founding of Mercatus. What began as a kitchen table startup grew into the global standard for private market investment technology, supporting over $1.5 trillion in assets under management before being acquired by State Street.Haresh's most profound breakthrough did not happen in a boardroom but in a healing room. For 55 years, he lived with unexplained health symptoms that twelve specialists could not diagnose. Refusing to accept that there were no answers, Haresh applied the same systems thinking and pattern recognition that powered his business success to his own body. By connecting the dots conventional medicine had missed, he uncovered the root causes behind his condition, an experience that fundamentally reshaped his life and purpose.Today, he is the founder of Diagnostic MD AI and a leading advocate for integrating conventional medicine with proven alternative approaches through patient-centric, AI-driven diagnostics. He believes the future of healthcare lies not in choosing between Eastern and Western medicine, but in intelligently combining their strengths to understand the whole system. His forthcoming book, The Ghost in My Body, chronicles this journey from medical dead ends to healing breakthroughs, offering both a deeply personal story and a vision for how healthcare can evolve.https://hareshpatel.ai/Use code FA FOR 40% OFF Athletic greens is a non-negotiable part of my daily routine. KRLD's David Johnson talks with Rafael Lizardi, CFO, Texas Instruments (Nasdaq: TXN)
There's something absurdly Strangelovian about the American quest for a perfect weapon. As Jeffrey Stern warns in The Warhead, his new history of The Paveway, the first “smart” bomb, weapons are always, like their human engineers, imperfect. “It's always exploding somewhere,” Stern dryly notes, and those explosions in the Texas Instruments developed Paveway were not only unexpected, but often tragically imperfect. So for example, the Second Gulf War was the most precise air war in history and yet within a year, more civilians died than in Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. The conceit of “perfection”, Stern warns, might be as quintessentially American as the fatally flawed Walt Disney corporation or the Kennedy dynasty (both part of the Paveway story). Which is why this history of smart weapons makes such chilling reading in an AI age when Americans are once again being promised perfect military technology. The Paveway bomb, invented by Texas Instruments in the 1970s, was the first truly precise munition. It revolutionized America's air campaign in Vietnam and allowed whole new kinds of “limited” U.S. wars in Libya, Iraq, Serbia, and beyond. But Paveway's true legacy was psychological: it seduced generations of U.S. leaders into believing that tactical precision creates strategic victories with few costs.Jeff Stern, an intrepid chronicler of modern conflict, tells this story in his new book The Warhead: The Quest to Build the Perfect Weapon in the Age of Modern Warfare. He joins Jon Bateman on The World Unpacked to explore the past, present, and future of precision warfare.

Episode 83 of The Space Industry podcast by satsearch is a conversation with Adrian Helwig, Analog Field Application Engineer, and Michael Seidl, Systems Engineer from Texas Instruments (TI), about designing space systems with integrated Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) strategies.TI is a global electronics manufacturer with a wide portfolio of space-grade components to support space missions across the spectrum. In the episode, Adrian, Michael and satsearch COO Narayan Prasad Nagendra discuss:FDIR as a complex, critical sequence in space system design: Since equipment in space cannot be manually repaired, systems must quickly and reliably detect faults, isolate the damaged unit (e.g., by switching it off), and recover mission operations, often by engaging a redundant unit.Trade-off between reliability, performance, and cost: Engineers face this trade-off particularly when selecting components that must withstand extreme environments (radiation, temperature cycles) and long missions (LEO vs. GEO/Deep Space). Using non-space-grade parts introduces significant risk and defeats the purpose of FDIR.Effective fault containment based on integrated, smart strategies: Strategies that avoid complexity, using methods like galvanic isolation, fast load switches, and highly-integrated space-grade components that incorporate diagnostics and can execute complex decision-making based on multiple sensor inputs (voltage, current, temperature) prevent fault propagation. You can find out more about TI on their satsearch supplier hub. US equity futures are firmer after Wednesday's losses. Asian markets ended mixed, and European equities opened also mixed. Market sentiment remained focus on geopolitics. The White House is reportedly preparing to curb exports of software-related products to China, including laptops and aviation components, raising concern over a potential escalation in trade tensions. However, President Trump continued to talk up prospects of a deal with President Xi at their upcoming APEC meeting. In energy markets, oil surged after Washington imposed sanctions on Russia's two largest oil producers, Rosneft and Lukoil, for undermining Ukraine peace efforts, while Europe moved toward banning Russian LNG imports. Earnings also drew focus, with high-profile misses from Netflix and Texas Instruments offset by strength in industrial and energy names.Companies Mentioned: Warner Bros. Discovery, Airbus, Leonardo, Thales, Starlink, IonQ, Quantum Computing, Rigetti Computing, D-Wave Quantum

US equities were lower in Wednesday trading, though ended off worst levels, with the Dow Jones, S&P500, and Nasdaq closing down 71bps, 53bps, and 93bps respectively. Easiest excuse for today's downside largely tagged to potential escalation in US-China trade tensions. Earnings saw high-profile disappointments from Netflix and Texas Instruments, with high bar for some of the AI power theme names, and additional reprieve from recent credit concerns from some financial reporters. Treasury's auction of $13B in 20Y notes was well received, stopping through by 1.2bp, though foreign demand was below recent averages.
Texas Instruments (TXN) sold off after what Dan O'Brien called a "largely in-line" earnings report. His reason: more macro risk compared to Texas Instruments' chipmaking peers. However, Dan believes the company found a bottom when it comes to inventory drawdown. On his A.I. picks, he takes investors through names like ASML Holding (ASML), TSMC (TSM), Nvidia (NVDA), and Broadcom (AVGO).======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Subscribe to the Market Minute newsletter - https://schwabnetwork.com/subscribeDownload the iOS app - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/schwab-network/id1460719185Download the Amazon Fire Tv App - https://www.amazon.com/TD-Ameritrade-Network/dp/B07KRD76C7Watch on Sling - https://watch.sling.com/1/asset/191928615bd8d47686f94682aefaa007/watchWatch on Vizio - https://www.vizio.com/en/watchfreeplus-exploreWatch on DistroTV - https://www.distro.tv/live/schwab-network/Follow us on X – / schwabnetwork Follow us on Facebook – / schwabnetwork Follow us on LinkedIn - / schwab-network About Schwab Network - https://schwabnetwork.com/about
Stocks could see a breather after the Dow Jones ($DJI) hit a record, but Kevin Green says don't get too comfortable. He notes that while earnings have been strong, there are signs of a potential pullback, particularly in the S&P 500 (SPX), which is hitting resistance around 5750. KG points to weakness in the uranium, gold, and silver trades as potential headwinds, as well as uncertainty around U.S. and China trade talks. He also breaks down the post-earnings reactions in Netflix (NFLX) and Texas Instruments (TXN), citing concerns over Netflix's operating margins and Texas Instruments' commentary on customer caution.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Subscribe to the Market Minute newsletter - https://schwabnetwork.com/subscribeDownload the iOS app - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/schwab-network/id1460719185Download the Amazon Fire Tv App - https://www.amazon.com/TD-Ameritrade-Network/dp/B07KRD76C7Watch on Sling - https://watch.sling.com/1/asset/191928615bd8d47686f94682aefaa007/watchWatch on Vizio - https://www.vizio.com/en/watchfreeplus-exploreWatch on DistroTV - https://www.distro.tv/live/schwab-network/Follow us on X – / schwabnetwork Follow us on Facebook – / schwabnetwork Follow us on LinkedIn - / schwab-network About Schwab Network - https://schwabnetwork.com/about
On today's podcast:1) Netflix shares fell in premarket trading on Wednesday after the streaming-video company reported third-quarter results it said were hurt by a tax dispute with Brazil. The results came in the wake of reports that Netflix and Comcast are among the companies weighing bids for parts of Warner Bros Discovery. Warner's board will evaluate “a broad range” of options, including a planned split-up of the company by mid-2026, an outright sale or separate deals for its studios and streaming or cable-TV units, according to a statement Tuesday. Separately, shares of Texas Instruments fell after the chipmaker gave an outlook that is weaker than expected, indicating that some customers are slowing orders as they navigate mounting trade tensions.2) Anthropic PBC is in discussions with Alphabet Inc.’s Google about a deal that would provide the artificial intelligence company with additional computing power valued in the high tens of billions of dollars, according to people familiar with the matter. The plan, which has not been finalized, involves Google providing cloud computing services to Anthropic, according to the people, who asked not to be named because the information is private. The deal will allow Anthropic to use Google’s tensor processing units, or TPUs — the company’s chips that are custom designed to accelerate machine learning workloads, one of the people said. Google is a previous investor in, and cloud provider for, Anthropic.3) President Trump predicted an upcoming meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, would yield a “good deal” on trade — while also conceding that the highly anticipated talks may not happen. While Trump foresaw the sit-down as being “very successful,” he said the possibility remains that it could fail to materialize. The two leaders are scheduled to meet later this month at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in South Korea.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Texas Instruments (TXN) reports earnings after Tuesday's close. Rick Ducat compares the chart performance to other semiconductors stocks to show the wide dispersion among the chipmakers based off of technology and customers. Later, Rick highlights the $187 level as a potential resistance point after earnings. He circles the rising RSI momentum study as a "bullish shift" as it approaches the mid-line around 50. Later, Tom White breaks down an example trade for Texas Instruments using a bullish call diagonal play, taking into account the earnings event.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Subscribe to the Market Minute newsletter - https://schwabnetwork.com/subscribeDownload the iOS app - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/schwab-network/id1460719185Download the Amazon Fire Tv App - https://www.amazon.com/TD-Ameritrade-Network/dp/B07KRD76C7Watch on Sling - https://watch.sling.com/1/asset/191928615bd8d47686f94682aefaa007/watchWatch on Vizio - https://www.vizio.com/en/watchfreeplus-exploreWatch on DistroTV - https://www.distro.tv/live/schwab-network/Follow us on X – / schwabnetwork Follow us on Facebook – / schwabnetwork Follow us on LinkedIn - / schwab-network About Schwab Network - https://schwabnetwork.com/about
