    Dr. Robin DiAngelo is an Affiliate Associate Professor of Education at the University of Washington. In addition, she holds two Honorary Doctorates. She is a two-time winner of the Student's Choice Award for Educator of the Year at the University of Washington's School of Social Work. She is the co-author of the award-winning textbook: Is Everyone Really Equal: An Introduction to Key Concepts in Social Justice Education. In 2011 she coined the term White Fragility in an academic article which has influenced the international dialogue on race. Her book, White Fragility: Why It's So Hard For White People To Talk About Racism was released in June of 2018 and debuted on the New York Times Bestseller List, where it remained for over three years and has been translated into 12 languages. It has now been adapted for young adults. Her follow-up book, released in June of 2021, is: Nice Racism: How Progressive White People Perpetuate Racial Harm. Her latest book is The Facilitator's Guide for White Affinity Groups: Strategies For Leading White People in an Anti-Racist Practice. Prior to StubHub, she served as Lead Counsel at Facebook doing legal work supporting Connectivity Labs to build drones, lasers, and satellites. During her Facebook tenure, she also built the company's Supplier Diversity Program. She has served as an advisor to startups in the enterprise and e-commerce space, including Blavity (and AfroTech), Bandwagon, Owl (acquired by CallPass), and Telepath. She recently gave congressional testimony on bias in AI in financial services in Feb. 2020.      Mike Adamson is Chief Executive of the British Red Cross, the country's leading voluntary crisis response organisation, and part of the worldwide Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Mike is responsible for all of the British Red Cross' UK and International work. Prior to his current appointment, he held several other senior positions within BRC, including Managing Director of Operations. Mike has also worked as a Director of Commissioning in the NHS and spent five years as Managing Director for Services at another national charity. He began his career as an economist in management consultancy. Mike is currently: • Chair of Voluntary & Community Sector Emergency Partnership • Member of the Foreign Secretary's Human Rights Advisory Panel • Trustee of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) • Member of CASS External Advisory Panel for Charities Masters Mike also chaired the NCVO review on how charities enable donors to give consent. For nearly 50 years he has worked as Facilities Manager, Service Provider, Trainer and Consultant in operational, strategic and leadership roles. He has been CEO, Director and a Non-Executive Director of many facilities related businesses and organisations. Known to many as The FM Guru, he was involved in the creation of many of the building blocks of modern facilities management including the AFM, IFMA UK and the BIFM. Martin was twice President of the IFMA UK Chapter and is a Fellow of both the IWFM and the RICS. Martin has been a regular speaker and facilitator at FM conferences around the world since the 1980s and a prolific writer of articles and white papers on facilities management. His “What FM's Do” mindmap has been used by FM organisations, magazines and educational establishments all over the world.Awards include seven from the British Institute of Facilities Management including two for FM Journalism and being named by FM World as one of the 20 FM Pioneers. In 2015 he received the BIFM Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the FM profession.     Today's guest is Martin Pickard FRICS FIWFM  Martin's career in facilities began as a mailroom assistant in 1970. For nearly 50 years he has worked as Facilities Manager, Service Provider, Trainer and Consultant in operational, strategic and leadership roles. He has been CEO, Director and a Non-Executive Director of many facilities related businesses and organisations. Known to many as The FM Guru, he was involved in the creation of many of the building blocks of modern facilities management including the AFM, IFMA UK and the BIFM. Martin was twice President of the IFMA UK Chapter and is a Fellow of both the IWFM and the RICS. Martin has been a regular speaker and facilitator at FM conferences around the world since the 1980s and a prolific writer of articles and white papers on facilities management. His “What FM's Do” mindmap has been used by FM organisations, magazines and educational establishments all over the world.Awards include seven from the British Institute of Facilities Management including two for FM Journalism and being named by FM World as one of the 20 FM Pioneers. In 2015 he received the BIFM Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the FM profession. In 2016 PFM Magazine gave him their Lifetime Achievement award for his contribution to the Facilities industry. Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019 Martin is now semi-retired, dividing his time between consultancy work for selected clients, charitable activities and creating new poetry and art.Support the show (https://pod.fan/baachu-talk)

    Anne has been part of the facilities management story since the early 1980s. In her long career, which started in the late 1960s as a live-in cleaner, she has worked both client and supply side, in both private and public sectors and has managed a diverse range of facilities including laboratories, hospitals, universities, offices, leisure sites, manufacturing plant, retail and media facilities. In 2007 Lennox-Martin was voted one of the most influential women in FM according to FM World and in 2013 she was presented with the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management award for Profound Impact on the FM Industry.She was one of the original seven students to obtain a Masters Degree in Facilities and Environmental Management at University College London in 1994 and the first Fellow of the BIFM to be awarded their professional qualification in 2002. She was a founder member of Women in FM in 2005 and remains active in supporting various BIFM groups. In 2007 she was selected as one of the 20 most influential women in FM in the UK by the magazine, FM World. She was a founder member of WIFM In 2013 she was awarded the Profound Impact on the FM Industry Award by the BIFM and in 2014 was given Fellowship status of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.She co-authored the BIFM Good Practice Guide to Customer Service in 2010.Anne published her autobiography "Self-Made Woman" to celebrate her transition into retirement. Self-Made Woman covers her early years, including her pioneering work with the National Council for the Unmarried Mother and Her Child, now known as Gingerbread, and her move into the then fledgling FM sector. She has a background in broadcasting and journalism specialising in small business, personal finance and consumer affairs and is author of several business books. She is also Chair of the Fair by Design Campaign (to tackle the poverty premium); and a non-executive Director of the Lending Standards Board and member of the Equity Release Council Standards Board.  Until she took up the role of SBC Liz was a Financial Inclusion commissioner, an Ambassador for Business Debtline, a member of the Fundraising Regulator Standards Board and ran BackinBusiness.org.uk to give small businesses a voice with policy makers. She worked with Boards and small businesses on improving governance, trust and culture, inclusivity, employee engagement, and understanding customer behaviour.     Benjamin – found on social media as @antlerboy – has been in public service reform and organizational effectiveness for over 20 years, and is passionate about the systems | complexity | cybernetics field. He describes himself as business evolutionary and avid learner, all of which he traces back to science fiction, studying philosophy (with politics and economics at Oxford University), and being an outsider despite his privilege.He began in a frontline role and then became Adviser to Leader in a London borough council and a career in public service consultancy through PwC, Sector Projects (part of Capita). He set up Red Quadrant, a network consultancy, in 2009 with the goal of transforming public services and disrupting consulting. In 2016, Benjamin established the Public Service Transformation Academy, a not-for-profit social enterprise which builds the capacity of public services to transform themselves. Benjamin curates and shares everything to do with systems/complexity/cybernetics at the Systems Community of Inquiry, hosts and supports and engages with many social media groups and systems societies, and is a Fellow of the Cybernetics Society  and a Director of Systems and Complexity in Organisation, the systems practitioner professional body. In that capacity, he has supported the development of the UK's level seven (post-grad) systems thinking practitioner apprenticeship. He is writing two systems thinking books, one for Routledge and one for Triarchy Press, and recording two podcasts: Transduction, the systems, cybernetics, and complexity podcast (I have come to sing songs to your cat), and Joy and Work: leading service transformation.

    Willian joined Brompton in 2002, became director in 2006, and took over as MD in 2008 and in this time grown the company from £2mil turnover with 27 staff to £70 mil turnover with over 600 staff. I am a Chartered Engineer passionate about all things engineering, having previously worked for DuPont, Nissan and ICI. I am married with three daughters and live near Marlow. I was awarded an OBE by the Queen in 2015 for services to Industry. I am interested in education, am a Fellow of the City and Guilds institute, a visiting lecturer at Imperial College,  was Chair of The Vibrant Economy Commission, was a founding trustee of Inspiring the Future charity and on the board of Investors in People supporting its transition out of government into an independent Community Interest Company. I am a Fellow of Institute of Mechanical Engineers, a Fellow the Royal Geographical Society, Member of the Vintners company and keen on my veggie patch.

    Kamel is ranked in the top 100 most influential black, Asian and minority ethnic leaders in the UK by the FT and others and in 2017 was awarded an OBE for services to promoting diversity in banking.  After 38 years in Banking she now sits on several boards as an Advisor / Trustee including the Queen's Commonwealth Trust working across 53 countries on social change, Ambassador for Alzheimer's Soc, On the Cultural board for Lloyds of London and NED on TLC Lions advising over 230 FTSE companies across the globe on their Wellbeing, Inclusion & Cultural leadership behaviours reaching over 1 million over 3 years and brings these clients together by chairing the TLC Lions Client club at Westminster Palace alongside UN Chair for Women to debate key issues faced by all.  Her passion and purpose to create a level playing field for all resulted in forming one of the first BAME and Women's network. This intrapreneur drive pushed her on to develop the Asian Strategy, cultural training initiatives, new communication campaigns and products for Lloyds Banking Group. As well as chairing a Government Task force to improve their supplier diversity ahead of the Olympic Games bid.     Matt Hyde is Chief Executive of the Scouts, the UK's largest coeducational youth movement. Formerly Chief Executive of the National Union of Students (NUS), he has undertaken a number of leadership roles in the charity sector and as Chief Executive of the Scouts has contributed to a period of record membership growth since he joined in 2013.  He has overseen the development and delivery of a rebrand, award-winning campaigns and has spearheaded work to support the growth of Scouting in areas of deprivation.Matt is also a trustee of Comic Relief, a Patron of UNLOCK (the charity for people with convictions) and was previously Vice-Chair of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).  He developed the world's first degree apprenticeship for social change which launched at Queen Mary University of London in 2019. Matt was awarded an OBE in the 2020 New Years Honours List and an Honorary Fellowship from Queen Mary University of London in 2012. He was named as one of the 25 most influential charity sector leaders by Charity Times in 2019.
