Day 30 Proverbs 30 http://89days.net/podcasts/ Voice talent by Don Bratschie 30:1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, the oracle: the man says to Ithiel, to Ithiel and Ucal: 30:2 "Surely I am the most ignorant man, and don't have a man's understanding. 30:3 I have not learned wisdom, neither do I have the knowledge of the Holy One. 30:4 Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if you know? 30:5 "Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him. 30:6 Don't you add to his words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar. 30:7 "Two things I have asked of you; don't deny me before I die: 30:8 Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me; 30:9 lest I be full, deny you, and say, 'Who is the Lord?' or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God. 30:10 "Don't slander a servant to his master, lest he curse you, and you be held guilty. 30:11 There is a generation that curses their father, and doesn't bless their mother. 30:12 There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes, yet are not washed from their filthiness. 30:13 There is a generation, oh how lofty are their eyes! Their eyelids are lifted up. 30:14 There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, and their jaws like knives, to devour the poor from the earth, and the needy from among men. 30:15 "The leech has two daughters: 'Give, give.' "There are three things that are never satisfied; four that don't say, 'Enough:' 30:16 Sheol, the barren womb; the earth that is not satisfied with water; and the fire that doesn't say, 'Enough.' 30:17 "The eye that mocks at his father, and scorns obedience to his mother: the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, the young eagles shall eat it. 30:18 "There are three things which are too amazing for me, four which I don't understand: 30:19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent on a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maiden. 30:20 "So is the way of an adulterous woman: she eats and wipes her mouth, and says, 'I have done nothing wrong.' 30:21 "For three things the earth tremble, and under four, it can't bear up: 30:22 For a servant when he is king; a fool when he is filled with food; 30:23 for an unloved woman when she is married; and a handmaid who is heir to her mistress. 30:24 "There are four things which are little on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise: 30:25 the ants are not a strong people, yet they provide their food in the summer. 30:26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks. 30:27 The locusts have no king, yet they advance in ranks. 30:28 You can catch a lizard with your hands, yet it is in kings' palaces. 30:29 "There are three things which are stately in their march, four which are stately in going: 30:30 The lion, which is mightiest among animals, and doesn't turn away for any; 30:31 the greyhound, the male goat also; and the king against whom there is no rising up. 30:32 "If you have done foolishly in lifting up yourself, or if you have thought evil, put your hand over your mouth. 30:33 For as the churning of milk brings forth butter, and the wringing of the nose brings forth blood; so the forcing of wrath brings forth strife."

I was extremely lucky to recently catch up for a chat with two-time Olympian swimming superstar and Adelaide's very own, Kyle Chalmers. Kyle spoke about his friend and retiring AFL superstar, Eddie Betts and the new video 'Enough is Enough', that Kyle is a part of with other sports and entertainment celebrities to make a stand about racism. We also discussed the incredible challenges that Kyle has faced in the past few years which makes his achievements in Tokyo 2020 even more remarkable. Kyle and I also had a bit of fun as we spoke about some of the different unusual pets that he has, some of the funny team mates in the swimming team and three famous people that he would love to have dinner with. Kyle also has a new podcast called Mates and Plates SA, check it out, it's a ripper. Thanks so much to Kyle for giving up his time during a very busy schedule and to Rory Noke from PodBooth for putting this great video together.

"There are three things that are never satisfied; four that don't say, 'Enough!': 16 Sheol,* the barren womb, the earth that is not satisfied with water, and the fire that doesn't say, 'Enough!' 17 "The eye that mocks at his father, and scorns obedience to his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, the young eagles shall eat it. 18 "There are three things which are too amazing for me, four which I don't understand: 19 The way of an eagle in the air, the way of a serpent on a rock, the way of a ship in the middle of the sea, and the way of a man with a maiden. 20 "So is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, and says, 'I have done nothing wrong.' 21 "For three things the earth trembles, and under four, it can't bear up: 22 For a servant when he is king, a fool when he is filled with food, 23 for an unloved woman when she is married, and a servant who is heir to her mistress. 24 "There are four things which are little on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise: 25 The ants are not a strong people, yet they provide their food in the summer. 26 The hyraxes are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks. 27 The locusts have no king, yet they advance in ranks. 28 You can catch a lizard with your hands, yet it is in kings' palaces. 29 "There are three things which are stately in their march, four which are stately in going: 30 The lion, which is mightiest among animals, and doesn't turn away for any; 31 the greyhound; the male goat; and the king against whom there is no rising up. 32 "If you have done foolishly in lifting up yourself, or if you have thought evil, put your hand over your mouth. 33 For as the churning of milk produces butter, and the wringing of the nose produces blood, so the forcing of wrath produces strife." “Enough was enough – I felt like I was on the wrong side” – Tiara Brown on leaving the police Unbeaten professional boxer Tiara Brown joins us following her recent decision to resign from the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C. The former “DC Officer of the Year” tells us she became increasingly disheartened by some of the behaviour she witnessed from fellow officers when working at the protests that followed the death of George Floyd and the shooting of Jacob Blake. Brown believes law enforcement can’t be changed from the inside and says she’s been targeted on social media following her resignation. South Africa’s Devon Petersen tells us about his journey into darts and how he visualises winning the world championship during practise sessions ahead of next week’s PDC World Darts Championship. The crowd favourite also explains his walk on routine and laments the fact fans aren’t allowed to wear fancy dress this year. Petersen tells us in a normal year it’s not unusual to see “Santa having a pint with Smurfs”. We speak to champion bodybuilder Rene Campbell about the reality of going against societal norms, when it comes to how some people think a woman should look. Campbell suffered with an eating disorder due to her wish to be slim before she got into bodybuilding. A photograph of her is currently featured in a six-month exhibition in west London called "Womanhood." In Sporting Witness, we travel back to the winter of 1969-70, when anti-apartheid campaigners disrupted 24 matches during a tour of the British Isles by South Africa’s Springboks rugby team. The campaign forced the cancellation of a planned tour by the South African cricket team later in 1970, and then of all future visits by South African teams until the end of Apartheid. We hear from Peter Hain, who organised the protests and later became a British MP. And – the BBC’s Alistair Bruce-Ball joins us from Molineux ahead of the day’s early game in the Premier League between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa. Nothing of Spirit gets to be birth in us and through us without a hot pursuit of an awakened desire We are in a day where heaven is speaking to us from all various impressions and expressions. As we continue to listen to the instructions and guidelines of how the Lord will have his prophetic counsel to be released into this new day, we are noticing a particular trend of thought and impression that is designed to firmly build us on the ascended revelation of Christ, our pattern model of lifestyle. The leech has two daughters. 'Give! Give!' they cry. "There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say, 'Enough!': Proverbs 30:15 The nature of a leech is a great example of the kind of spiritual desire heaven longs for us to have when it comes to the quality passion and hunger for the move of God to happen in our day. A leech is never satisfied with sucking human blood if you allow it. We are told the leech has two daughters who are forever crying Give! Give! This is how we should be crying towards the desire and counsel of the Father for our spiritual development and the unveiling activity of the Lord for this generation. It's clear that heaven only uses available and willing vessels to carry out its intention, which means that certain values must be well situated within the structure of faculties for us to effectively partner with the voice and will of the Father for presence and glory to be seen. The Lord is preparing the next generation of men and women who will be adequately ready to house the prophetic intention of the Spirit but cannot be achieved without our desire being channeled toward the place and point of total agreement with heaven. The faculty of desire plays a critical role in ushering the things of the Lord into the human realm, and that required that we utterly understand how to channel and direct this emotion towards the divine initiative. 1 Samuel 1 The Spirit of the Lord is calling us again to the point and place where our desire this channel to us the manifestation of the kingdom of God even into our day. There is absolutely no way we can begin to appreciate and understand and even begin to press into What the Lord Has ordained for us for this new day without a deep sense of desire. God gave us the desire to desire to see the firm establishment his counsel into the earth. Once again, the Spirit of the Lord is speaking to those of us that have moved from past season into this new season to begin to re-purpose our desire to us the manifestation of the kingdom of God gravitates to us a place and a point where desire is aligned to the will of God. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you [DESIRE] ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. We are asked to pray that his kingdom come, and he's will be done on earth as it is done in heaven for this to happen. We must reorder our desire; we have to reorder the emotions of our desire in Desiring the things of God. This is what this message is all about. This is a Clarion call to awaken us to bring us to a New Day to a new season to a new moment in time where we discard the old and beginning. Investing our desire into the new realities of the Father seeks birth into this generation, especially through the channel of prayer and intention, is a great place to be. However, when we allow the enemy, through the ignorance of the soul-life to capture our desire, we have potentially lost the passion for the spiritual activity of the kingdom to become manifest into our space and time.

Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me; 30:9 lest I be full, deny you, and say, 'Who is the Lord?' or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God. 30:10 "Don't slander a servant to his master, lest he curse you, and you be held guilty. 30:11 There is a generation that curses their father, and doesn't bless their mother. 30:12 There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes, yet are not washed from their filthiness. 30:13 There is a generation, oh how lofty are their eyes! Hatred Is Baggage / Hatred being a poison …. SO, LET'S GET RID OF IT In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:44 Hatred have taken place around the world for decades but now it has taken a great hold on us here in America in the form of BLM and Antifa:  There has been too much exposure of such accounts hatred on the news and online for people not to be aware of it. As a result, it has led to many deaths some extremely horrible: You killed a child': Armed protesters in Georgia fire into car, striking 8-year-old girl Secoriea Turner: Hate crime, laws are not being enforced especially when it comes to these groups. Black Lives Matter (BLM) really should be re-named to Only Certain Black Lives Matter (OCBLM) because the only time that OCBLM demonstrates, extorts, burns, loots, assaults, and murders is when a white police officer kills an unarmed black man during an arrest since that is when OCBLM can leverage money and publicity from these deaths. , 'Enough!' When video footage was released Friday of a white Mesa, Ariz., police officer shooting dead a white man after the victim begged for his life while crawling on the floor, it was Black Lives Matter activists who called his death an outrage. The All Lives Matter crowd said nothing about Daniel Shaver's violent demise because All Lives Matter is not a thing. It is just cynical opposition to the thing that is Black Lives Matter. The biggest memory of hatred around the world stems from Germany under the direction of Adolf Hitler. His goal was to remove all the Jews from the world, and he succeeded in eliminating large numbers of them. Native Americans found themselves the victims of hate crimes as the white people began settling on the land in America as well. However, no one want to discuss this because everyone thinks blacks were the only victims of hate and racism and slavery. Is BLM and Antifa now the new Hitler? This terrorist act on America soil will now be if not already is the biggest organized group of haters around the world. Some forms of hate take place under the direction of organized groups. The Kul Klux Klan is well known for their intimidation and threats against blacks in the Southern region of the United States. They have been known to burn down Churches and homes belonging to black people as well to send them a direct message. Do we now have a new form of the KKK known as BLM and Antifa? No, they are being influence by the evilness and darkness of Satan Do not Be Deceived [The devil] is a liar and the father of lies.John 8:44.  We are not born hating people, hate is taught, hate is often the result of misinformation and from fear. Blacks were not the only slaves Christian slaves under roman rule The Galilee, where Jesus grew up, was dominated by Rome in the first century. Slavery existed in Galilee, just as it existed throughout the Roman Empire.  Barbary slave trade Christian slavery in Muslim Spain Ottoman slave trade, When Europeans Were Slaves: Research Suggests White Slavery Was Much More Common Than Previously Believed. The human cargo that arrived in Virginia in 1619 had come from the port city of Luanda, now the capital of present-day Angola. Back then, it was a Portuguese colony, and most of the enslaved are believed to have been captured during an ongoing war between Portugal and the kingdom of Ndonga. The people who came in August 1619 have been described as “the first Africans to set foot on the North American continent,” but that is incorrect. For example, as historian Henry Louis Gates Jr. has pointed out, Juan Garrido became the first documented black person to arrive in what would become the U.S. when he accompanied Juan Ponce de León in search of the Fountain of Youth in 1513, and they ended up in present-day Florida, around St. Augustine. Bonded Labor or Debt Bondage. Domestic Servitude. Forced Child Labor. Unlawful Recruitment and Use of Child Soldiers.  The fact that society is so torn against each other means that more must be done to get people to accept such differences. Hatred tends to further separate our nation rather than bringing it together.   "What does the Bible say about hate?"  Biblically speaking, there are positive and negative aspects to hatred. It is acceptable to hate those things that God hates; indeed, this is very much a proof of a right standing with God. “Let those who love the Lord hate evil” (Psalm 97:10a). Indeed, the closer our walk with the Lord and the more we fellowship with Him, the more conscious we will be of sin, both within and without. Do we not grieve and burn with anger when God's name is maligned, when we see spiritual hypocrisy, when we see blatant unbelief and godless behavior? The more we understand God's attributes and love His character, the more we will be like Him and the more we will hate those things that are contrary to His Word and nature. However, the hatred that is negative surely must be that which is directed against others. The Lord mentions hatred in the Sermon on the Mount: “But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment” (Matthew 5:22). The Lord commands that not only should we be reconciled with our brother before we go before the Lord, but also that we do it quickly (Matthew 5:23-26). The act of murder itself was certainly condemned, but hatred is a “heart” sin, and any hateful thought or act is an act of murder in God's eyes for which justice will be demanded, possibly not in this life but at the judgment. So heinous is the position of hate before God that a man who hates is said to be walking in darkness, as opposed to the light (1 John 2:9, 11). The worst situation is that of a man who continues professing religion but remains at enmity with his brother. The Scriptures declare that such a person is a liar (1 John 4:20), and he may fool men, but not God. How many believers live for years pretending that all is well, putting on a front, only to be found finally wanting because they have harbored enmity (hatred) against a fellow believer? Hatred is a poison that destroys us from within, producing bitterness that eats away at our hearts and minds. Therefore, the Scriptures tell us not to let a “root of bitterness” spring up in our hearts (Hebrews 12:15). Hatred also destroys the personal witness of a Christian because it removes him from fellowship with the Lord and other believers. Let us be careful to do as the Lord advised and keep short accounts with everyone about everything, no matter how small, and the Lord will be faithful to forgive, as He has promised (1 John 1:9; 2:1).   Yes, ENOUGH already, we cannot change the past it is part of America History, but we can work towards a better future for our children:  Question: "Is forgetting the past biblical? Does the Bible instruct us to forget the past The apostle Paul ends a section in Philippians 3 by saying, “One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (verses 13–14). Is Paul instructing us to forget everything that ever happened before we met Christ? Is this a command to purge our minds of all memories? It is important to consider the passage that precedes these words. Paul had just listed all his religious qualifications that, to the Jewish mind, were of supreme importance. He then states, “I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (verse 8). Paul is making the point that no fleshly accomplishment matters in comparison with knowing Christ and trusting in His righteousness alone for salvation (Ephesians 2:8–9). Regardless of how good or how bad we may have been, we must all come to Christ the same way: humble, repentant, and undeserving of His forgiveness (Romans 5:8; Titus 3:5). The word forgetting in this passage means “no longer caring for, neglecting, refusing to focus on.” Our memories store millions of pieces of information gained through our senses since birth. Some experiences are impossible to forget, and any effort to forget them only makes them more prominent. Paul is not advising a memory wipe; he is telling us to focus on the present and the future, rather than the past.   It is easy to “live in the past.” Whether it is a past victory that our minds continually replay or a past defeat that hangs over us like a shroud, it needs to be left in the past. Nothing hinders present service quite like being mired in another time. Modeling Paul's forgetfulness means we count the past as nothing. We cut the strings that tie us to that bygone moment. We refuse to allow past successes to inflate our pride. We refuse to allow past failures to deflate our self-worth. We leave it behind and instead adopt our new identity in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are not to forget everything, however, in the sense of being oblivious to it. In fact, there are many times God instructs us to remember. In Deuteronomy 9:7, Moses tells the Israelites to “remember this and never forget how you aroused the anger of the Lord your God in the wilderness. From the day you left Egypt until you arrived here, you have been rebellious against the Lord.” We are encouraged to remember all God has done for us (Psalm 77:11; 103:2), others who are suffering for Christ's sake (Hebrews 13:3; Colossians 4:18), and what we were before Jesus saved us (Ephesians 2:11–12; 1 Corinthians 6:9–11). But the remembering should be to the glory of God and for our spiritual benefit. If we are cleansed by the blood of Christ, then no judgment remains for past failures (Romans 8:1). If God chooses not to remember our past sins (Hebrews 8:12), we can choose to set them aside as well and embrace the future He promises to those who love Him (Romans 8:28; Ephesians 2:10). Reality hate will be around until Jesus comes back: however, we can do our best to love one another and listen to the word of God:       Research done by: Willie T Ayers Veteran for Christ I'm Truly Blessed: (I'm just a nobody trying to tell everybody about somebody that can save anybody ….do you know him …his name is JESUS) I'm not ashamed of the Gospel: : I pray to never begin my day without thinking that perhaps he may interrupt my daily routine and begin His own. I am not looking for death. I am looking for Him. Today might be the last day when Jesus returns. : I Would rather stand with GOD and be judged by the world, Than to stand with the world and be judged by GOD (GOD'S judgement is eternal) The Joy I have the world did not give it to me……And the world cannot take it away. I hope so. That is our goal. Truth works. So, what hurt are you holding on to like a blankey? Many of you haven't thought of it that way have you? Love and hate are passion. How much time and passion are you giving to what you hate?14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matt 6: 14-15.I call that an "Oh Snap" verse. Hard to debate it right? So you are flawed. You have screwed up just like Jonah. You clearly want to be forgiven. Then you must forgive others that have hurt you too. Two-way street. If you are ready to let go and let God, here is a suggested prayer that for some of you will feel like taking a 1,000 pounds off your shoulders. Father, you know my hurts. You know my grudges and struggles. I give them over to you. I'm sick and tired of holding on to these burdens too long. You know how to handle these people that have hurt me. You know how to handle these circumstances better than me. I give them to you as I humbly ask you to forgive me. Amen. There you go. Feel lighter? I hope so. BTW, some things are impossible to forget. When they creep in, simply lift it back to God. You may be lifting daily. Do it enough. You will experience peace. Not my promise. It is God's, check out Phil 4: 6-7.Ending on a song note, this new gem just made it on my run list. This world will chew you up and spit you out.

I'm all for giving people another chance, a second bite of the cherry. But a second bite of the matzo? SInce when could I say, 'Sorry I missed your party. Can you do it again for me?' When it's gone, it's gone. Yet, the men carrying Yosef's bones ask for a chance to get a second Pesach. A new law!...and it is granted. How? It seems that there is something about the concept of the Torah Sheba'al Peh, as opposed to the Written Law which allows for Chiddush - invention and innovation...and restarting. And this is echoed in the same sedra later, when the people start missing Egypt. 'Thank you Mitzrayim for the fish and veg which you provided for us for free!' Have you ever heard of something so patently wrong on so many levels? They reject the Mon and ask for meat...they reject Moshe - who describes himself as a nursemaid (feeds on demand - Moshe was able to get Torah answers on demand too). 'Enough of the milk, we want the meat.' A fuller exposition is deserved, but suffice it to say that, at this stage, they are moving away from Moshe and feeding on demand, towards the possibility of change and independence with their inherent dangers, as well as the perks. This is massive for us, when we begin to attempt to face our fears...and change... Whilst the candle still burns (in a week which will contain the flame of Lag B'Omer), remember this...it's never too late to change...

For Rebecca Minkoff, the coronavirus pandemic is a chance for her namesake business to accelerate pre-existing plans. That starts with reexamining the brand's dependence on its own brick-and-mortar stores versus wholesale. "We always had a plan to have the ratios be more equal, and I think this has forced that to happen," Minkoff said on the Glossy Podcast. "I see a strong desire to return to physical retail when this is all over." The tighter focus also extends to the brand's social media strategy. The content that's been proven to work on shut-in customers, she said, usually features Minkoff herself. "I'm not trying to sound egotistical, but that's what drives the revenue and the clicks and the sales," she said. "So we're saying, 'Enough with any other type of franchise or content pillars; we are going to do what works and what gets the customer excited.'" Minkoff talked about how she's helping to focus attention on smaller, women-owned businesses, what she thinks of TikTok and why she had to take the podcast interview from her bathroom floor.

I share with you how you can let go of your laziness towards life and start getting motivated! S U B S C R I B E : https://www.youtube.com/user/RafaelEliassen?sub_confirmation=1 Coaching with Rafael: https://www.erafael.com/ #StopBeingLazy #MotivitationForLife #GetMotivated #TakeAction #LiveAFulfillingLife #FulfillingLife #GettingMotivated #PersonalDevelopment #SelfImprovement #SelfHelp #Motivation Podcast Summary: When I was depressed and had social anxiety the biggest thing that I noticed was that I was in a constant state of apathy, which is the lowest level of consciousness that you could be in. It means that you are kind of lethargic, self-loathing and you're just laying around being a victim you don't even want to try, you're not even upset or angry, you have just accepted your fate and you're sitting there defeated by life. No wonder you're lazy or unmotivated your whole train of thinking is based around feeling like there's 'nothing' you can really do. The quickest way to snap yourself out of it is not through 'trying' to be joyful and happy, or even to set goals that you want to accomplish. Don't try to force yourself to be motivated and passionate. What you need to do is to get angry at life and how you've been living so far. You need to say 'Enough is Enough'. This, personally, is what completely changed my for the better. One night while I was sitting there playing video games, at the time I was a janitor, I thought "that's it, I want to make something of myself, I want to make a difference in the world." Not because I was inspired and happy or that everything was perfect and going my way, but because I got pissed off. I decided enough was enough, "I'm not going to stay where I am anymore, I don't want to keep experiencing this." It just felt like I had no real control of my life. I'm not saying you to revolutionise the way you're thinking or make some kind of magic switch in your mind, you don't have to take a magic pill that's going to make everything feel much better. You simply need to get very angry at yourself, angry at everything around you, angry at where you are in your life and say that "enough is enough" and it's time for you to step up! You have to stop repeating the same old patterns because clearly, they are not making any difference to the way you feel about yourself and the life you are currently living. The moment that you get really angry something awesome happens, you start to feel this little pull deep inside of yourself, it pulls you to take action, because now you have the energy necessary to make changes. If you are in constantly in a state of apathy it is over, but the moment you get pissed off at your life you're going to do something about it. Simply look at the areas of your life that you want to improve, what you want to accomplish and start thinking about at least one thing that you would really like to experience. For me personally, it all started with getting rid of my own social anxiety I just decided that I was not going to feel like I couldn't talk to, or, connect with people. So I just worked on that one skill purely because I felt like I'd had enough of being a shy guy. Further down the line, you will find that there will be many opportunities to improve your way of thinking, you can decide that you're going to be a high consciousness type of person. You could meditate and work out, and have great habits that would help you to improve. But it has started with you getting pissed off with your current situation! Countless celebrities account their success to that one day in their life, or even one moment, where they said: "That's it, I don't want to live like this anymore." When you finally get sick of your sickness; that's the day that turns your life around.

"We have the choice to change our life, to be courageous and to live true to our heart, one that will see us die and live without regret." —Bronnie Ware, author of The Top Five Regrets of the Dying Dying, death and loss has unwantingly been on my mind this past fall. Rest assured, today's episode will uplift, inspire and remind, but the reason I share what has been occupying my mind these past few months is because I likely would not have picked up Bronnie Ware's new book The Top Five Regrets of the Dying. But I am very grateful that I did. Ware's entire book shares her experience working in the palliative care system in New South Wales, Australia, which sprung up from what was originally a blog post. Subsequently, after more than three million people viewed the post, it was thankfully turned into a book which shares detailed five lessons and those special individuals she had the opportunity to spend time with in their final days. Along the way, Ware shares her own journey of self-growth and discovery and how she has applied the lessons she has learned. It is not lost on me that often the books we need find us, and after the loss of a special woman in my life who was very much akin to a grandmother, who having lived a wonderful life of nearly 95 years reminded me with each visit and time spent together the power of a happy heart, and after a cancer scare with one of my parents (they are in full recovery now), along with my beloved boys (my dogs) each in their double digit years, it quickly becomes apparent that life is short, precious and up to each of us to make it something we are proud to have lived, shared and experienced. While we will all make mistakes in our lives, that is the gift of being a human :), we do not have to suffer needlessly if we are willing to open our minds to the stories and life experiernces of others. In the past ten years I have come to enjoy reading biographies and autobiographies to soak up as many life lessons as I can that I would have otherwise not known about (Julia Child is one of my favorite teachers, but so are many others). Today what I would like to share with you are nine Life Lessons that caught my attention as I was reading Bronnie Ware's book. While her book focuses on five overarching regrets, interwoven amongst each are smaller, no less important lessons, to understand and apply to our lives moving forward. As I was reading, I began to celebrate as I discovered that much of what is shared aligns with living a simply luxurious life, and especially if you've read TSLL's 2nd book, you will know that nearly all of these topics are explored in depth. I cannot fully understand the emotional strength Bronnie exercised in each of her experiences, as well, and more importantly, the individuals who shared their stories in their final days, but I am determined to make sure their lessons are learned and applied forward as we go about our daily lives. Let's take a look at the list. ~Reader/Listener Note: Each point shared below is discussed in more detail in the audio version. 1.Extend Kindness and Forgiveness to Yourself as well as Others "The bravery needed to change your life is easier to find when you are kind to yourself. Good things take time, so patience is also required." 2. Appreciate the Daily Journey - Find Joy in the Everyday "Things fall into place when happiness is already found." 3. Let Go of the Need for Validation and Share Yourself with the World "Taking risks requires courage, but we cannot control everything . . . learning and daring to think without limitations, and not trying to control how things will flow to us." The most common regret: "wishing they had been true to themselves". ~YOU MIGHT ENJOY: Why Not . . . Get to Know Yourself? (3 part series) ~Explore TSLL's 1st book in which a detailed conversation is shared about how to tap into your true self. 4. Simplify to "Untrap" Yourself "The things we often think we need are sometimes the things that keep us trapped in an unfulfilled life. Simplicity is the key to changing this. Letting go of the need for validation through ownership or the expectations of others also brings freedom." 5. Make the Scary Changes "Just as [trappings] were created over time . . . they can be undone over time. It is a delicate process of determination, bravery and, at times, letting go. It is having the courage to stop unhealthy relationships in their tracks and say 'Enough'. It is treating yourself with respect and kindness, both of which we deserve." ~YOU MIGHT ENJOY: Your Fear is Speaking 6. Overcome and Become the Master of Your Mind "It is the heart that guides us to joy, not the mind. Overcoming the mind and letting go of others' opinions allows us to hear our own heart. Having the courage to then follow it is where true happiness lies. In the meantime, keep cultivating the heart while mastering the mind. As the heart grows, life brings more joy and peace. A happy life want us , as much as we want it." ~YOU MIGHT ENJOY: How to be the Master of Your Mind, episode #20 7. Be honest with yourself, and get out of your own way "My lessons had been in how to allow [fulfillment and pleasure], which was through faith and self-love. I just had to get out of my own way first. That was where the real work lay — learning to own my own thoughts, by clearing away the debris that stopped me [from] letting it all flow." 8. Smile at your humanness, let go of perfectionism "If occasional blockages now surface, I am patient and loving with myself while working through them. Self-discovery is more joyful. I can smile at my humanness." ~YOU MIGHT ENJOY: Why Not . . . Stop Getting in Your Own Way? 9. Understand Being Yourself Will Require Great Courage "It takes enormous courage sometimes. But being who we are, whoever that is, sometimes cannot even be articulated at first even to ourself. All we know is there is a yearning within that is not being fulfilled by the life we are currently living." ~Subscribe to The Simple Sophisticate:  iTunes | Stitcher | iHeartRadio | YouTube | Spotify SIMILAR POSTS/EPISODES YOU MIGHT ENJOY: 7 Life Lessons from the Tao of Pooh, episode #237 15 Everyday Habits to Live a Life of Contentment, episode #93 How to Welcome the Magic Into Your Life Petit Plaisir ~Maison Balzac mini candles ~Personalized/Customized Holiday Cards from Papier https://www.instagram.com/p/B5yb5OUAmEI/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

What is enough? Don't seek to earn, be or have enough. Seek satisfaction.   A study was done by the University of London to measure happiness and material wealth, it found that seeing friends and relatives most days is worth the equivalent of a pay rise of over £60k. That’s something to reflect on when demands at work are high. No one ever empties their inbox or clears the To Do list, so when you finish you’re working day, take a moment to feel satisfied with what you’ve achieved.   I recommend you read 'Enough' by John Naish. On this week’s episode along with checking in + a segment we're calling 'Hum That Hook', we conclude our conversation about how to declutter literally anything.Click here to go to the blog post for this podcast to get your FREE guide: How to Declutter Anything!Did you know that there is a link between clutter in our lives and lack of focus? THAT EXPLAINS SO MUCH TO US!We are in a period of life that is hard: we are both transitioning into starting a business while also trying to parent an always on the go 6 year old and a 4 year old who treats us like short order cooks. When she's hungry, we just hear, "Cheerios, Now." Yikes (although we do prefer that to, 'WIPE ME', which also happens). This season of life is rough for us.Some of you (single, married w/out kids) are probably tired of people with kids telling you about how much harder their life is than yours ... especially when you feel like you are up to your eyeballs in the crazy already. I (Philip) remember how that feels, being single, or being newly married, and feeling like I could barely breathe at times b/c life felt so overwhelming. Having kids does make life more difficult (and I guess you just somehow figure out how to figure it out), but the moral is: EVERY season of life is hard and has its challenges. But, the moral of this story is also that with so many other factors converging on us that make it hard to give the love and attention to each other and our kids that we want to give ... if clutter is making it even harder to focus then it HAS TO GO. Seriously, if life is hard enough already and all the extraneous stuff in our life is just making it harder to focus on what matters, then it has to go!This is why we're talking about decluttering and think its important. We start with decluttering stuff because its the most tangible, and maybe piling up some small wins with stuff will motivate us to declutter bigger things ... like our schedule, use of technology, how much HGTV we watch (ouch ... hits too close to home).Decluttering: an easy process that's not that easy. Make sure and check out the last 2 podcasts so you don't miss any part of the conversation! The last 2 weeks, we talked about first, getting the decluttering process started by choosing a space and emptying it out, and then second, how to sort through what you've emptied to decide what stays and what goes. This week, we'll talk how to put the stuff back and finish up the decluttering process. The big obstacle at this point of your decluttering journey is figuring out how to put things back in a way that is going to make life better than it was before ... not just shoving it back in a way that will result in it turning into a train wreck again within 36 hours. Here are a few tips:- Clean out the space once you have emptied it. I never think about this but it always feels amazing when I do.- Begin with the end in mind (that's a little Steven Covey for you). Put the things from your 'Keep' pile back in an organized way that reflects how you'll use the things. For example: Shirts in a drawer. You typically stack them one on top of another. But do you use the drawer like that? Probably not. Why not fold them in a way where you can arrange them in rows. It lets you see what you have and allows you to take shirts out and put them away in a way that helps them to stay looking nice and in order.- Shop your house (I got this from The Nesting Place). There is a strong urge at the end of the decluttering process to go right to Target and buy a ton of baskets and organizational stuff. Fight the urge! Is there something you already have in your house that could work for this space? This saves you money and helps you to insert your personal style back into your space. But ... if you do want to give yourself a little treat at the end for a job well done, who can blame you? I got myself these awesome fake plants (finally a plant that I can't kill!).So that's it - the end of our three week deep dive into how to declutter literally anything. And now, what are you waiting for? It's time to pick a space and get started! Living around clutter is robbing you of time, is killing your focus, + might even be causing low-level anxiety and depression in your life. It's time to say, 'Enough!', to clutter getting in the way of things that matter in your life. What do you recommend?- Katie: Beats by Dre headphones- Philip - Need a new salad idea? Try grilled romaine it's amazing.

This sermon we are going to do our best to shine some light on this 400-year period of Jewish slavery and in the process, see what these 400-years can tell us about our lives. While the Bible doesn't go to great lengths to describe these 400 years of Jewish suffering it doesn't take much imagination to know that these 400 years were filled with great brokenness... brokenness like prejudice, fear, hatred, and injustice... merciless and brutal centuries filled with weeping, distress, oppression and anguish... and it all sounds very familiar to me today... it sounds very similar to our still-broken world... oppression, hatred, anguish, even slavery. What we will see when we return to this story later this year is that there came a day when God said, 'Enough is enough!'

The Real Story

Brazil has been rocked by a series of corruption scandals in recent years - Operation 'Car Wash' is just one of the many ongoing investigations that stretch into the highest levels of business and politics. President Michel Temer is himself implicated in a scandal that could well bring his term of office to an early end - making him the country's second president ousted within a year. His approval ratings are rock bottom, street protests against him are growing, and the Supreme Court has now ordered him to answer police questions about the allegations against him. On this week's Newshour Extra, Owen Bennett Jones and his guests ask how Brazil, once hailed as a bright hope of emerging BRICS nations, has reached this point of crisis and whether the corruption investigations can clean up the mess. The intellectual MMA guru also gives us live blow by blow action of the big upset MMA victory of Diaz over McGrergor. It too being the second of the big MMA night,as Rhonda Rousey victor Holly Holmes found ''Cupcake'' Tate both bitter to her taste and leaving her with the taste of defeat. They all talk about tonights Washington figths, the ills, disappointments and the decline of their beloved sport, boxing.  McGrergor's fall validates him not being 1)even remotely in the same class of Floyd Mayweather Jr.,which whom he had proposed a fight with and2) how insane, ludicrous and sacrilegious to have those, truly of both no common sense or minute intellect to utter or perceive him some how vastly in the vein and status of some where near, that having to be on another planet in just mere thought pattern of,Muhammad Ali. ***TRUST*IN*GOD*** ''It's NOW that makes the AFTER.'' The regular season can't get here soon enough. While the Royals cruise through spring training, we covered a few of the remaining battles while also discussing the final second base decision to keep Chris Getz over Johnny Giavotella. We also talked a bit goings-on in Omaha and brought up the idea of a platoon (or replacement) for Jeff Francoeur and tossed out an idea of trading for David DeJesus. Most of our time this week, however, was spent talking with Curt Nelson, director of the Royals Hall of Fame. We talked about his vision for the exhibits and artifacts within the Hall of Fame and what he tries to present to those who visit the stadium and want to dive into the history of the franchise. Of course, we also had to bring up the question of "How does Emil Brown end up eligible for the Royals Hall of Fame?" Curt walked us through the process of nomination and how they've revamped the voting to include fan votes and we looked at a few specific cases on the current eligible ballot as well as other names from the past that may be revisited. It's interesting stuff to think about, especially as other players like Mike Sweeney, Johnny Damon and Carlos Beltran are nearing eligibility for the team honor.

Who do you serve? The current continuing ecocide or ... are you serving the restoration of your own, your community and the planets health? It's a choice!!Some of the subject matter:Entertainment - transitioning to Innertainment  - Movies that inspire usPlay it forward - Important Movies with messages  that don't make it to the cinemas are now being organized so that we can 'Play it Forward.Covering the www.ThriveMovie.com and what it says. The part that arts play in change Is very important. This interview ranges over many subjects that all interlink with our present situation on earth today, and a new paradigm that is emerging. What is it? This interview was recorded 4 months ago when Occupation Wall Street was bursting out and I felt very excited of the possibilities of a Unified World of Occupiers could do, that I held back this interview to bring into the studio Auckland based NZ Occupiers and supporters so that listeners could hear directly what NZers were saying and doing, thus I put this interview on hold.
