Charlie and Pastor Rob McCoy address Mercy Culture Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Charlie begins by outlining the three types of churches: 1) Courageous churches that are standing up for truth both inside the walls of the church and outside in the public square; 2) Cowardly churches that abdicate political and policy debates because they're fearful of the blowback from taking a stand; and 3) the Complicit churches that are actually helping the woke left advance their diabolical agenda. In the full pastor panel including Landon and Heather Schott, things get revved up in a Q+A segment that you won't want to miss, where they cover questions including: How do you share the truth without being so controversial? Host Becky Hennesy welcomes America's favorite public school assembly speaker Reggie Dabbs to the podcast. Since the late 1980s, Reggie has been a familiar name for many teenagers who have heard him speak in hundreds of school systems, churches, youth camps and other events around the nation. His impact for the Kingdom is so broad and wide it's nearly impossible to measure. He and Becky share about his latest move to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas region, where he's joined the Trinity Church pastoral staff. They also dive into how his role in the Kingdom has reformation roots that run deep into the hearts of America's youth.Links to Reggie's website: reggiedabbsonline.comBorn to an unwed teenager, Reggie was raised by foster parents until he was in the fourth grade, and then they officially adopted him and gave him the Dabbs name.As the Dabbs' reared Reggie, they instilled in him strong moral values, for which he is genuinely grateful. They also ingrained in him the fact that in every situation he faced, he had a choice. What he did with those choices was entirely up to him.In the sixth grade, Reggie began playing the saxophone and hated it. At the insistence of his parents he continued to practice and to play. Not until his freshman year in college did he actually enjoy the instrument, and today, he plays with fervor and expertise. After graduating from college, Reggie began his public speaking. During one speaking engagement, his host asked if he would be interested in addressing a high school assembly. From that small beginning in 1987, Reggie has become a popular public school speaker. When addressing a school assembly, Reggie talks to the kids in a humorous style about choices each of them has when faced with drugs, alcohol, suicide, etc. Reggie gets in kids faces and tells them that he never smoked a cigarette, never did drugs, never drank alcohol, because he chose not to. He assures them that they can make the same kinds of choices.Reggie talks to kids about family and how thankful they should be that they have families.  Most of all, Reggie drives home the fact that “You can never change your past, but you can change your future!”The Reformers Collective podcast is part of the expanding Charisma Podcast Network (CPN).  Click here to visit the CPN main page. This week, we hoofed it over to Lake Worth, Texas, just outside of Dallas, for an interview  with their very own semi-aquatic satyr. Lake Worth itself is  a reservoir and recreationional area created in 1914, but it wasn't until 1969 when local teens reported an attack while driving by a horned terror stalking the shore. Ever since, several eye-witnesses have come forward and the legend of the Lake Worth Monster has grown to a point where an annual festival is celebrated in its honor! The Lake Worth Monster is voiced by fellow Texan, Jonathan Perez. Jonathan now resides in Los Angeles with an extensive career as storyboard artist. My guest today is Dr Katie Pelch from Fort Worth Texas. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Centre. Dr Katie Pelch and colleagues published the PFAS-TOX Database in April, 2021. The database currently includes 29 of the most commonly studied PFAS mapped to 15 health outcome categories. Katie said what they found was quite a surprise. Contrary to the notion that there is very little research on replacement PFAS, the PFAS-TOX Database identified 742 studies on 29 select PFAS other than PFOS and PFOA that have been measured in the environment or in people. Many of the findings reflect health effects already linked to PFOA and PFOS, yet few PFAS in the data base have received regulatory attention. PFAS manufacturers continue to make and use new PFAS with very little oversight. This is one reason why experts in the field are urging the management of all PFAS as a single class of chemicals.Katie says the purpose of this database is to support government, businesses, academics and impacted citizens in quickly assessing the state of the science so that they can make timely decisions that protect public health and the environment. For today's discussion you might find it helpful to have the PFAS-TOX Database open (see link below) but you can certainly listen to the episode without that.SHOW NOTE LINKS:PFAS-TOX Databasehttps://pfastoxdatabase.org/Scientific Basis for Managing PFAS as a Chemical Class Kwiatkowski et alPublished June 30, 2020 Environmental Science & Technology Lettershttps://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.estlett.0c00255“Cancer-causing chemicals found in Fort Worth well. Show Topic: Time Management with Lauren Midgley Co-Hosts:  Judy Gaman, Mark Anderson, Walter Gaman Guest: Lauren Midgley (In Studio) Segment 1: Today we are talking about something we could all work on--time management.  There just aren't enough hours in the day.              How does time management affect your health?                          Stress levels                         Productivity              Personal stories of time management DOC SHOCK Are you looking to increase your athletic performance?  New research out of Saint Louis University (SLU) in Missouri found that eating a Mediterranean diet can increase endurance performance in just four days!  Participants were six percent faster while running on a treadmill for three miles.   The Mediterranean diet consists of plant-based foods.  These include fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains, and legumes.  Red meat is also limited to just a few times a month.  Olive oil is used in place of butter and fresh herbs and spices in place of salt.  https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/mediterranean-diet/art-20047801 Stay Young America.com Facebook (Stay Young Media Group), website (Stayyoungamerica.com, and iTunes, call us 844-well 100 Follow us on Twitter @StayYoungMedia. Coming up, our special guest Lauren Midgley.  Segment 2: Lauren Midgley, based in Dallas-Ft. Worth Texas, became an entrepreneur in 2010 after a 25+ year career with two Fortune 500 companies.  Her depth of knowledge and understanding of time management come from being an executive managing a team and being a business owner herself. Immortal Minute We really can't manage time…but we can manage our own “time formula”. Night begins the day. Our 24 day really starts when go to sleep.  If slept well, we will be more productive.  If not, it will be a less productive day. The saying “get twice as much done in ½ the time” is a myth. The thought of trying to do that raises our anxiety --- we work less effectively with less clarity when we are anxious. Build downtime into the white spaces of your schedule. Know what is your “go-to” downtime technique to clear your mind and how to get to a calm state. Segment 3: Today we're talking about time management with Lauren Midgley.  Where we trip ourselves up --- we think we can do more than we have time available. The starting point is knowing your “capacity of time” for each day AND how much time task(s) will take.  Then schedule accordingly. Stick to the task…rather than jump around to other tasks or allowing yourself to be interrupted while on one task. The task jumping is what causes us to be mentally fatigued. Know what routines/checklists really work for you. Build more of them into your day if you can – adds to your efficiency and gives your brain a rest from decision making. Segment 4: Medical Mania Trivia- Peggy What's the itchy skin condition tinea pedis better known as? A. Athlete's Foot B. Eczema C. Psoriasis D. Dehydration (A. Athlete's Foot) T or F. Hiccups occur when your diaphragm goes into spasms? (T) What do doctors look at through an ophthalmoscope? A. The Nose B. The Throat C. The Ear D. The Eye (D.
