Dr. Gerrit Keferstein auf Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/performance.doc/MOJO Institut auf Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mojoinstitut/Website des MOJO Instituts: https://mojo-institut.de/MOJO Campus: https://mojo-institut.de/campus/Find me on Insta: https://www.instagram.com/maximpruchnewski/More free stuff: https://linktr.ee/maximprSapiens Playground on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmNDo81K7jX7Thk0_NF_xngListen to Sapiens Playground on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6IcilHhRDVTiVxGO5uuYlp?si=ab520e5d7fc24a3aListen on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/de/podcast/sapiens-playground-a-place-for-true-health-unbiased/id1534777361You can text me at sapiens.playground@web.de for podcast inquiries or any questions you have.

This is where you can support the podcast: http://paypal.me/pruchnewski Thank you! Hey everyone and welcome back to another episode on Sapien's Playground! While travelling the US I had the great pleasure and honour to meet up twice with Lorenzo Barberis Canonico, PhD and spend several hours recording what turned out to be one podcast episode with me being the host and the second one where he was interviewing me. Lorenzo works as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford Univeristy in California where he is involved in developing applications that leverage the Wisdom of Crowds to train machine learning models in the context of biomedical data science and bioinformatics. Previously, Lorenzo as a researcher in Human-Centered Computing researching the intersection between AI and Game Theory. He wrote his dissertation on prediction markets and collective intelligence which eventually became the topic for his TedTalk. On the podcast we spend the first half talking about the art of podcasting, as well as his participation in the speech and debate club during high school after he had moved from Italy to the US 13 years ago. The conversation later involved into a great discussion on various political issues and Artifical Intelligence which I thoroughly enjoyed, not least because of Lorenzo's excitement but also because of the way he manages to always stay open-minded and emotionally detached even when we somewhat disagreed. Enjoy listening to the first part of our conversation! Dear listener! Today I would like to take you with me on a journey through Aaron's life and transformation. His story is truly moving, inspiring, breathtaking, heartbreaking and at the same time unbelievably encouraging and empowering. Aaron describes himself as someone who practices the development of the Drengr Discipline Mindset, as an MMA-enthusiast a Pagan practicioner and a proud dad. I am convinced that listening to our conversation you will be able to extract some truly valuable and priceless insight which might be of tremendous benefit for many people who currently live through some rough times or just seek to appreciate the lessons that you learn from hearing about terrible experiences and the transformation associated with it without having to live through that themselves, thankfully. We get to discuss his experience with hypnotherapy, his first encounter with spirituality and how Aaron contrasts that to the idea of religion. Furthermore, we explore how focusing on attention and gratitude changed his life and the role exercise has played in that whole process. A truly inspiring story and not something you should miss out on! Enjoy listening! Dear all, welcome back to this episode on Sapien's Playground. This episode is a special one, not just because I have my friend Nick Capolino on the show but because we get to delve into some crucial issues that concern every single one of us on a daily basis and on several layers of analysis. We had a fascinating discussion about the interplay and relationship between masculinity and femininity, the journey towards the discovery of our most profound core values, that certainly include the desire to build and maintain great relationships within the family. Neither last, not least, we gave some actionable advice on how to confront difficult situations in life, exchanged some thoughts on the proper way to conduct oneself in the face of suffering and came to conclusions that might be of interest and value to everyone who is listening! Hello everyone and a happy new year! Welcome back to my podcast Sapien's Playground! I am really excited today to have Nicolas Verhoeven from Physionic on the show and to get really granular and technical while discussing the biochemical and physiological pathways that underly Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Fatty Liver Disease, as well as the effect of dietary fatty acid composition on insulin sensitivity and cardiovascular health. Nick is a Doctorate Student in Molecular Medicine / Cell & Molecular Physiology and has been interested in Cell & Molecular Biology Research for over 6 years. Moreover, he owns a Master in Exercise Physiology and is a ACSM Certified Personal Trainer. Dear all, I wish everyone a wonderful New Year's Eve and a powerful start into 2023! May this year encourage you to take greater responsibility for your health first and foremost, may you come to the realization that you are literally the only one who must take it into your own hands. By that same token, I hope that this special episode I had with Dr. Sean O'Mara will be of some value in guiding you on your journey towards a healthier life. We discussed his work in depth and touched on some of the explanations on why particularly visceral adipose fat seems to be so ruthlessly associated with chronic disease of any kind, insulin resistance and heart disease being the most crucial ones nowadays. Enjoy listening to this episode on Sapien's Playground where I continue to learn from the greatest, extract wisdom from those who are wiser than me. Accept your ignorance, open your mind to become amenable to growth and always assume that the person you are talking and listening to might tell you something you don't know yet. Dear listener, Welcome back to a new episode! I am delighted to have with me today Gabor Erdosi from Hungary, a food scientist with a master's in molecular biology and a particular interest in the development of chronic disease from a molecular and immunological perspective. His views on insulin resistance were particularly interesting not least because his unique explanations seemed coherent and evolutionarily consistent but also because Gabor was the first of the guests so far who was able to elaborate on the evolutionary origin and "function" of visceral adipose tissue. Enjoy listening to the episode and make sure to share it around in case you have found it helpful! Hello everyone! Today, I had the great pleasure to sit down in Berlin with a friend of mine, Katja Bui, originally from Ukraine, lived in Germany for the majority of the time and graduated from the same high school as I did. Katja has been interested in politics since mid-school an stood out in class due to her rather unpopular and conservative views on a wide array of sociopolitical questions. We had a great, very friendly and respectful discussion about fairly heated and controversial subjects, like the origins and development of the feminist movement, abortion, as well as liberalism and conservatism, their core propositions and ramifications on a broader political and societal level. You will hear us agree on some things and disagree on others, however, that is undoubtedly part of the discourse which ought to be encouraged in order for society to move forward. Our aim was definitely not to please everyone, our lack of endeavor to be politically correct is therefore an inevitable consequence of trying to to establish common ground and come closer to what is correct and true on as many levels of analysis as possible. I genuinely hope, that you will appreciate this conversation and perhaps you also will be able to extract some value in the notions we discuss, the arguments we exchange and the opened questions we leave unanswered. Welcome back to a very special episode on Sapien's Playground! For absolutely incomprehensible reasons I somehow managed to invite Robb Wolf on my podcast and it was not only a big honor but also an enlightening experience and a great pleasure to have him on the show and dive as deep as we could possibly manage in a little bit more than an hour into the ethical, environmental and nutritional concerns with respect to animal products, and meat in particular, which he together with Diana Rodgers so elegantly and comprehensively addressed and dissected in their most recent book and documentary “Sacred Cow”. It's hard to overstate how much I learned in today's conversation with special emphasis on the fact that it helped me apprehend even more thoroughly the uncannily incomprehensible complexity of the issue, as well as the appalling realization how much arrogance and lack of appreciation for our limitless ignorance is driving the whole environmentalist movements and many of the policies surrounding animal farming, ecosystems and agriculture in general. I am sure this is going to be a valuable resource for many of you! Share it around if you liked it and please enjoy listening! Welcome back to Sapien's Playground! This is a conversation I had with vegan cardiologist Dr. Joel Kahn which might come as a surprise to many of you as I usually position myself as a big proponent of including liberal amounts of animal foods into one's diet. Nonetheless, as I am a very curious person, as I believe in the power of free speech and conversation and as the name of this podcast contains the terms "Sapien's" and "Playground" I truly believe that testing different hypotheses, endeavouring to approach difficult questions through contemplating various points of view, continuously questioning any given set of assumptions and doing all of that in an exploratory spirit using the revelatory power of truthful speech and untrammeled flow of various ideas and opinions is the right way forward. Having said all that, I really enjoyed the conversation I had with Dr. Kahn as we tried to lay out what we all should unambiguously agree on, particularly as far as diet fundamentals, protein intake, exercise and sleep are concerned. I appreciate the honest and ambitious endeavour of Dr. Kahn to search for the truth as he clearly is someone capable of and constantly is exercising critical thinking with regard to many controversial subjects. Welcome everyone to Sapien's Playground! I am very pleased to have Austin Haedicke, @savagezen, on my podcast today. He currently holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has also trained within the SPEAR System. In addition to being a licensed professional counselor in the State of Georgia (#LPC011834), Austin is also a certified nutrition coach with Precision Nutrition (PN1) and an Eagle Scout (2006). He has been practicing and researching a "carnivore" diet since February 2020 (screenshots | data). In 2012 Austin earned his Master's Degree in Psychology at the University of West Georgia where he was also honored with the Mike Arons Award (named after the department's founder). As we proceeded in our discussion on Austin's training journey, he told that he used to compete in indoor rock climbing, having amassed hundreds of outdoor pitch ascents, bouldered V6+ and traditional climbed 5.10c. Many moons ago Austin also competed in boxing and mixed martial arts. Now, he enjoys coaching and assisting with law enforcement defensive tactics and civilian self-defense / preparedness instruction. He also has a few archived and not well maintained open source projects on GitLab. Having been an athlete for almost a decade, having gone through multiple injuries, while certainly having also had the chance to celebrate a number of successes over the course of his training career in close combination with his acquired knowledge from his philosophical and psychological studies Austin came to realize a whole bunch of crucial lessons, many of which carry along profound wisdom. In that spirit, we discussed, among many other equally intriguing topics, the necessity for sacrifice and discipline as a precondition for real freedom and genuine growth, what we can learn from children as adults, the mindset of a real warrior, and more. Unfortunately we didn't have sufficient time to chat about Austin's views on diet and other controversial aspects of health, which is another great reason to look forward to having him back a second time! I learned a lot from having this conversation and I am sure that you will find it equally enlightening. Enjoy listenting! Please share, like and leave a review if you found this helpful! Hello everyone! Today it's me, Maxim Pruchnewski, recording an audio version of an essay I wrote very recently exploring and delineating the reasons and potentially tenable and tangible solutions for the fundamental problem of political division as such. I see it as a problem that keeps growing in severity and increasingly takes overhand of society, manifesting itself on a broad societal scale on virtually all levels. Feel free to share this around because I wholeheartedly hope that this will reach many people and make them at least look at this issue with a critical eye. There are things we absolutely have to apprehend, otherwise they are doomed to go haywire. This shall not further divide us and perpetuate the hatred, suffering and malevolence. Truth, honest speech and approaching people with a spirit of appreciation of their inherent individual sovereignty and dignity are the antidotes to this predicament. Much Peace and Love, Maxim Find me on Insta: https://www.instagram.com/monky_caliplayground/ Find me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/MPruchnewski More free stuff (books, videos and PDFs): https://linktr.ee/sapien_health Sapiens Playground on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmNDo81K7jX7Thk0_NF_xng You can text me at sapiens.playground@web.de for podcast inquiries or any questions you have.
Welcome back everybody to another conversation here on Sapien's Playground! I had the great pleasure of speaking, for a second time now, with one my greatest sources of inspiration, endurance calisthenics athlete, one of the very strongest in this field, and a good friend of mine – Sergio DiPasquale @Sergio Di Pasquale AKA NewEra . I was particularly curious about his most recent competition in Italy where he participated in the “True Endurance – Elite” category and received the winner's title by a huge margin. We chatted about his training approach he used to optimally prepare himself for the battle, Sergio shared the insights he gained and lessons he learned from the event and also, we had a nice philosophical discussion regarding the underlying foundational idea which the training process is grounded in and which, in turn, manifests certain patterns of behavior, like the desire to workout or to gather in a group of lik-minded individuals to compete against each other. Please make sure to listen to the first conversation we had some time go, not least because it was just as fascinating and insightful but also to be better able to follow our conversation today, especially when we start entering the religious/philosophical realm. That all said, enjoy listening to the episode with Sergio DiPasquale! Welcome back, everyone, to Sapien's Playground. Today I have the pleasure to be talking to Moritz Schäfer, or @MoMagnon on Instagram, who's a quite unusually knowledgeable certified nutrition coach from Germany who's truly interested in understanding how the body actually functions and how we can better create a sophisticated idea and understanding about the root causes and subsequent pathophysiologies of certain chronic diseases, particularly insulin resistance. It still seems to be a dark mystery where the doctors and scientists do not really have a rock solid conception of its pathophysiology, nor is anyone able to explain how lifestyle plays into the process without running into contradictions or other conflicting theories. So, essentially that's what we were trying to sort out with Moritz today. My aim was to provide one framework that you could apply when considering the causes of insulin resistance, when thinking about its development and, ultimately and hopefully, finding a way of rectifying the broken system. The conversation might have become quite technical at certain moments, especially when we were talking and taking a look at the Randall cycle. But hopefully this episode will be helpful to provide you with a basic understanding of what exactly doesn't work properly in the body when becoming insulin resistant and what precisely you could maybe try or even should do if your goal is to make your body healthier again. Because there are certain things which are undisputably going to help you to achieve this. Enjoy listening! Hello everyone! This is episode number 39 with Dr. Tommy Wood, MD and PhD. To quote Dr. Wood from his website, he is a Research faculty member at the University of Washington (UW) in the Department of Pediatrics. His research focuses on ways to increase resilience of, and treat injury of, the developing brain. Dr. Tommy Wood has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, a medical degree from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in physiology and neuroscience from the University of Oslo. In addition to his role as a faculty member at UW, he serves as President of Physicians for Ancestral Health, and on the scientific advisory board of Hintsa Performance. Alongside his career in medicine and research, Dr. Wood invested time in developing easily-accessible methods with which to track human health, performance, and longevity. He has published extensively and spoken on multiple topics surrounding functional and ancestral approaches to health, including examining the root causes of multiple sclerosis and insulin resistance. He also is interested in using his experiences in coaching and competing in rowing, CrossFit, powerlifting, and ultra-endurance racing to inform Tommy's day-to-day interaction with clients looking to achieve long-term health and performance. Our today's conversation circles all around brain health. The episode starts by laying the foundation for what has to be taken into careful consideration when it comes to figuring out the balance between a flat-out obsessively stressful approach on the one extreme end and a don't-care-about-anything-do-whatever-feels-good mentality on the other hand whenever thinking about any specific lifestyle intervention. Keeping that in mind, the main part circled mostly around the complicated question surrounding easily implementable steps for virtually everyone that are effective at preventing rapid cognitive decline especially in later stages in life. Certainly one of the most practically useful and informative episodes so far and I really appreciate Dr. Tommy Wood for agreeing to talk to me today! Stay tuned for a part two and enjoy the episode for now! Hallo zusammen! Hello everyone! Thanks a lot for tuning in for another podcast episode on Sapien's Playground. Today I had Steven Jonathan Rummelsburg as my special guest and it is hard to overstate how great of an honor it is to have him on the show in order to help me and all of us figure out better ways to look at the complicated world around us. Steven Jonathan Rummelsburg holds a degree in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara. A school teacher, he is also a writer and speaker on matters of faith, culture, and education. Mr. Rummelsburg is a member of the Teacher Advisory Board and writer of curriculum at the Sophia Institute for Teachers, a contributor to the Integrated Catholic Life, Crisis Magazine, The Civilized Reader, The Standard Bearers, Catholic Exchange, and a founding member of the Brinklings Literary Club. Following these areas of interest, our conversation focused on questions concerning religious matters and how authentic education, or the lack thereof, is to be viewed as a major contributor to the emergence of wide, diverse and peculiar sets of issues, some of which we managed to discuss in great detail. An attempt to conceptualize the existence of free will, questions surrounding the controversies around abortion, absolute and relative morality, the marxist doctrine and equality of outcome, as well the endeavor to articulate ways to conceptualize God were some of the highly interesting ideas that we managed to introduce. Please share this episode if you found it interesting and helpful and enjoy listening to our conversation! Welcome back to a new episode on Sapien's Playground! Today I am very delighted to have as my guest Dietetics Student and Biochemistry enthusiast Nicole Crendal (@bio.chem.nikki on Instagram). We had an awesome exchange on a whole bunch of complicated issues, including the exploration of possible explanations for autoimmunity which Nikki became so interested in as a result of her own health journey. She was struggling with several conditions which she also elucidated in this episode while providing insight into the things she did that helped her to resolve the issues, dietary intervention in particular. Furthermore, we continued speaking about the potential future of dietetics and medicine, had a nice discussion about controversies in the realm of sports nutrition and closed with a ramble highlighting our fascination for the jaw-droppingly incomprehensible, yet beautiful complexity of the human body. Enjoy the episode and please share this around if you found it interesting and valuable. Welcome back to Sapiens Plaground! I am more than delighted to welcome my friend Brian Sanders back to the show. We discussed as much as we managed to cover in this hour with regards to the Food Lies Film which he has been working on very diligently for more than 5 years now. Learn more about Brians story and our discussion regarding the five most important pillars of health in the first episode where I already had the pleasure to introduce myself and you guys to his remarkable work. Make sure to check out episode number 3 for that purpose. In this one, however, our main focus was to present a throrough and comprehensive introduction to and delineation of the contents of the film. At the same token we managed to get to the core of Brians motivation behind starting on this unbelievably difficult journey characterized by a not-trivial amount of challenges which we accurately presented in this episode, too. This episode can be considered as the ultimate Food-Lies-Guide that is supposed to provide you with a pre-taste of the project, called Food Lies which started out as an endeavor to debunk "What the Health" and ended up as a comprehensive and fascinating deep dive into a wide array of branches in the realm of nutrition summarized in a 6-part-series. Good day everyone and thanks for tuning in for another episode on Sapien's Playground. I am very pleased to be talking to Dr. Gil Carvalho, MD and PhD today and diving as deep as we can manage into the field of individualized medicine. Gil Carvalho, MD PhD is a physician, research scientist, science communicator, speaker and writer. In the aftermath of graduating from medical school in the University of Lisbon Gil decided to pursue a PhD in Biology from Caltech (California Institute of Technology) and was involved in numerous research areas, including genetics, neuroscience, longevity and more. Over the past few years Gil was heavily engaged in the development of his YouTube Channel called “Nutrition Made Simple” which I would highly recommend checking out for the purpose of attaining information to provide you with the tools necessary to conduct your own investigations in the realm of scientific research. Our conversation today covered mostly Gil's journey towards becoming an expert at coneying the wisdom of lifestyle medicine to a broader audience via Social Media, YouTube in particular, as well as the important nuances that have to be taken into account speaking of individualized medicine as one of the central concepts and presuppositions which the entire clinical enterprise must be based upon. It was a really fun conversation and I am really looking forward to having Gil on the show next time together with Malcolm Kendrick in order have the discussion on lipids and atherosclerosis alluded to at the end of the podcast . Hello everyone! I am very pleased and grateful to have the opportunity to talk today with Alec Zeck. Unfortunately, maybe not so much though, I suppose, we didn't really manage to delve deep into his past and the sorts of transformations which he had undergone during the course of his life. Nonetheless, Alex is a really deep and critical thinker and by having this discussion with him my aim was to get at least a bit closer towards comprehending the motives and beliefs which seem to lie at the bottom of our actions as well as the actions of the people around us. We didn't delve into any specifics as far as covid measures or anything related to that are concerned but rather attempted to get behind the ideologies that seem to guide some of the behavior that we have watched unfolding over the past years, and in addition to that highlight potential ramifications and dangers which are certainly associated with the idea of strict value imposition on other people at any cost and sometimes just for the sake of keeping the ideology alive. Luckily, apart from spilling out a stream of criticism we also discussed ways that might be useful in at least breaking down the solution of this problem into something like actionable little steps at the base of which has to be situated freedom of speech and one's personal desire to listen, explore and to question as the fundamental spirit. I hope to be talking to Alec soon again, this was a fascinating conversation. Enjoy listening! Remember to share if you found it valuable. Welcome back! This is part 2 of a conversation I had with the passionate Heart Disease Researcher and Sceptic Dr. Malcolm Kendrick. He is a family physician from Scotland who very early on in his carreer developed an ever-persisting passion and desire to get behind the real pathopysiological mechanisms that underly Atherosclerosis and Heart disease. Malcolm has authored several books like Doctoring Data or his most recent one – The Clot Thickens, he leads a blog on his website https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/ and has published and co-authored quite a significant number of scientific papers many of which were aimed at assessing the controversies and unresolved questions in regards to the pathophysiological processes which fundamentally underlie the biggest killer in the western world. In the first part of our conversation we were mostly discussing all the facts and evidence pointing against the presumption of LDL, or Apo-B containing lipoproteins, being the number one driving causal factor behind plaque formation which is usually referred to as cardiovascular disease. Unfortunately, we didn't quite manage to thoroughly discuss Dr. Kendrick's hypothesis and explanations which he so beautifully lays out in his most recent book and which he established as a result of several decades of constant digging, reading, questioning and exploring for the mere sake of finding something, finding a model that would be incontrovertible, unambiguous and capable of withstanding any criticisms from the other side. A model that would be able to explain virtually every observation and risk factor as far as heart disease is concerned. Now, as far as today's episode goes, apart from deepening our understaing and appreciation of the flaws and shortcomings of the lipid-hypothesis as proposed and acccepted by mainstream medicine, we furthermore start digging deeper into the real pathophysiology behind cardiovascular disease manifesting itself as a heart attack, stroke, etc. Enjoy the great conversation I had today with Dr. Malcolm Kendrick! Hello everyone. Today it's me, Maxim Pruchnewski, recording an audio version of an essay I wrote very recently outlining the essence of a story which occured in a surprising way to me in medical school and which, more importantly, highlighted the dangers associated with ideology together with the domain of personal belief entering the domain of science and possibly yielding undoubtedly unpleasant ramifications, as far as the persistence and firmness of inherently divine conceptualizations like freedom of speech or individual sovereignty as the paramount valus in western civilization are concerned. Feel free to share this around because I wholeheartedly hope that this will reach many people and make them at least look at this issue with a critical eye. There are things we absolutely have to apprehend, otherwise things are doomed to go haywire. This shall not further divide us and perpetuate the hatred, suffering and malevolence. Truth, honest speech and approaching people with a spirit of appreciation of their inherent individual sovereignty and dignity are the antidotes to this predicament. Welcome back and thanks very much for tuning in once again! I was extremely excited for inviting my friend Frank Bohne from Vermont onto Sapiens Playground and diving as deep as we were intellectually able to into his personal health story. Frank works on an animal farm in Vermont and was not hesitant at all to share his experience having worked on different kinds of farms and to tell us in great detail about the insights which he discovered as a result of working on plant vs. animal farms, as well as all the lessons he learned during that process. Apart from discussing the justifications, applications but also concerns that arise when it comes to plant farms, even organic vegetable farms that Frank used to work on, we delved even deeper into his past. I was particularly interested in the physical and mental transformation which he had undergone going from vegan to animal-based. Frank is a super nice, open-minded and humble human being who has a fascinating story to share and who went through the painful and taxing process of gradual health destruction and experienced vividly what it means to be riddled with disease and psychological suffering. He transcended his previous physical and mental condition and was ultimately able to defeat this horrible chaos, come out braver, stronger, humbler and with an additional sense of genuine compassion for anyone who is yet to find himself or herself in a state of terrible suffering, much as he has been confronted with for a vastly large portion of his adolescent life and his mid-twenties. I'm more than grateful to have had the honor and opportunity to receive such personal insights from his narrations and am sure that this will be of just as tremendous value to every single one of you as it was to me. In short summary, we discussed farming practices, diet, organ meats, how to conduct oneself properly in the face of uncomfortable conversations, accusations and haters. There was much more going on, hence it's no bloody wonder that we ended up talking for more than 2 hours. Enjoy our conversations and share this with a friend if you found it meaningful and useful information! Hello friend, and welcome back to the show! I am very delighted to be back talking with another guest on Sapiens Playground. The conversation I had today with Quetzal, @wildquetzal on Instagram, was a particularly inspiring one as we primarily attempted to get behind the ethical considerations, as far as diet and food choices are concerned, and the ultimate implications that this might have on the way you look at the world and, moreover, how you approach interactions with other individuals, especially with those who are in stringent disagreement and opposition to whatever argument you are attempting to bring forward. Quetzal has, as frequently characteristic for enthusiasts in the health community, a personal story to tell which very nicely displays the severity and magnitude of physical and mental transformation that he had to undergo in order to arrive at the place in which he currently finds himself assisting others in remembering who they have always been as humans and how to integrate specific habits and forms of behaviour into their lives to not only achieve optimal well-being but also experience the delicate balance that comes along with this sort of transformation. This conversation went very well, as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately, we did not manage to delve deeper into the specific characteristics of his diet and lifestyle, however, I am sure that in the near future an opportunity will present itself to continue and broaden our discussion, further develop and consolidate the ideas and sort things out more sophisticatedly to help ourselves and other people to develop a clearer and more accurate understanding of the profundity, significance and applicability of these sorts of topics. Welcome back! Recently, I had the honor to be invited to the Highest Health Podcast which is hosted by Natasha Dasaro. I very much appreciate her giving me that opportunity and enough space to really go very deep into the pathophysiological processes underlying atherosclerosis, ultimately leading to heart disease. After ellaborating on the things which clearly do not make much sense to me in the lipid hypothesis of atherosclerosis, I go on presenting an alternative hypothesis, which should not be regarded to as an entirely new hypothesis since there is actually a lot of evidence backing up all these underlying processes. Over the course of the conversation I extensively keep referring to the work of Dr. Malcolm Kendrick because he was clearly very influential when it comes to the way my perception of atherosclerosis has evolved over the years. In the second part we discuss the things that would probably have the greatest impact on reducing heart disease and thus prolonging your life. It's been great to talk with Natasha on the Highest Health Podcast, so make sure to check out some of the other episodes on her podcast! Hello everyone. Today it's me, Maxim Pruchnewski, recording an audio version of an essay I wrote very recently concerning some of the more fundamental questions that we should be thinking about in regards to the current situation. Welcome back! Today I had the pleasure to talk to one of the very controversial figures in regards to heart disease and the association between Apo-B containing lipoptroteins, aka LDL, VLDL, etc. and heart disease. Dr. Malcolm Kendrick who is a family physician from Scotland can be considered a great mentor and teacher as far as I am concerned, since many of the ideas that he brings forward and methods and ways of scientificly approaching a problem, just resonated with me so beautifully that I have been able to extract tremendous value and continue to learn a lot from his work. Malcolm has authored several books like Doctoring Data or his most recent one – The Clot Thickens, he leads a blog on his website https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/ and has published and co-authored quite a significant number of scientific papers many of which were aimed at assessing the controversies and unresolved questions in regards to the pathophysiological processes which fundamentally underlie atherosclerotic plaque formation and, ultimately, heart disease. Unfortunately, we didn't quite manage to thoroughly discuss Dr. Kendrick's hypothesis and explanations which he so beautifully describes in his most recent book and which he established as a result of several decades of constant digging, reading, questioning and exploring for the mere sake of finding something, finding a model that would be incontrovertible, unambiguous and capable of withstanding any criticisms from the other side. A model that would be able to explain virtually every observation and risk factor as far as heart disease is concerned. In our second part we will continue to take apart the standard mainstream Lipid Hypothesis and, in particular, go much deeper into the real pathophysiology behind cardiovascular disease manifesting itself as a heart attack, stroke, etc. Enjoy the great conversation I had today with Dr. Malcolm Kendrick! Enjoy the nice talk I recently had in an Instagram-Live with my good friend Dr. Camilo Karpf, who is a medical doctor from Columbia. Camilo practices in a clinic in Hamburg, Germany and is not only helping patient after patient to reverse chronic disease and come off medication through lifestyle interventions but is also engaged in a number of different projects here in Germany and also in Columbia which among other things includes cooking delicious and nutritious meals for children and similar kinds of endeavour. We had a vehemently satisfying discourse and exchange of ideas regarding the issues and problems that we both encountered in medical school and keep facing in daily life and in our attempts to produce some kind of change in terms of how the health care and patient-treating system is set up. We briefly touch on certain aspects of where exactly the dietary model went wrong and give a quick overview on our dietary approaches. My apologies for the rather inferior and unappropriate sound-quality! I am planning to record a bunch of podcasts with Camilo very soon and I promise that the sound-quality in those episodes will be much more appealing and comfortable to listen to. Having said all that, enjoy our chat! In the section "Bedtime Story" I will read a chapter from a book for you which I personally found interesting and find worth sharing with you! Please excuse if I my misspronounce some words, since English is not my first language and I could potentially make mistakes in the pronounciation. Our first book will be "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration - A Comparison of Primitive and Modern Diets and Their Effects by Weston A. Price" and in the fifth episode I read Chapter 3 of this book.
