2026 is here! Are you already feeling overwhelmed and behind—or are you ready to protect the plan you created and actually live with intention? In this jam-packed episode, I'm giving you the three powerful moves that will help you turn down the noise and turn up your purpose in 2026. This isn't about hustling harder—it's about hustling on purpose. You'll discover: The 5 Why's exercise that reconnects your goals to your deepest values and reignites the spark that's been buried under routine How to move from constant balance to seasonal focus—the framework that frees high performers from guilt and creates MORE time Why doing less actually achieves more (and the research that proves constraints unleash creativity, not hinder it) The 90-Day Reset system that keeps your ambition aligned and your wheels on the road all year long In the episode, I talk about how to write your Season Statement: Here's the format: For the next [timeframe], I'm prioritizing [theme] so I can [reason]. Here's how to write your Clarity Sprint: Step 1: Write your biggest goal for 2026 in one sentence. Make it concrete. Make it measurable. No fluff. Step 2: Ask "Why?" five times. With each answer, ask yourself, "Why is that important?" Step 3: Name the tradeoffs for the next 90 days. What are you willing to give up for this goal? And what are you NOT willing to give up? Be honest. What are you willing to sacrifice to reach it? Plus, grab your FREE Launch Your Dare Planning System at idareyoupod.com—the worksheets based on Dr. Benjamin Hardy's Future Self framework that we used in Episode 206. Communication Queen | entrepreneurship, marketing, storytelling, public speaking, and podcasting
What if the reason your book hasn't been written yet isn't procrastination—but protection? That quiet nudge that keeps whispering write the book isn't random. It's an initiation. In this episode of the Communication Queens Podcast, Kimberly Spencer sits down with author, storyteller, and book doula Amy Vogel to explore what really happens when women stop waiting for permission and start telling the truth of their lives. Amy shares her nonlinear journey—from tech sales to ministry, from certainty to collapse, from faith systems to self-trust—and reveals why writing a book isn't about having the answers. It's about being brave enough to live inside the questions. Together, Kimberly and Amy unpack the duality every woman faces when she dares to be seen: too much vs. not enough, creator vs. critic, artist vs. entrepreneur. They explore why books are both sacred art and business assets, why imposter syndrome simply means you've entered a bigger room, and why the feeling you're chasing matters more than bestseller status. This is a conversation about sovereignty, pleasure, power, and storytelling as reclamation. About why your story doesn't need to be perfect—it needs to be alive. And why the act of writing doesn't just change readers…it changes you. If you've ever felt the pull to write, speak, or share—but hesitated—this episode is your permission slip.
Welcome to the Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life podcast: today we're leaning into a powerful New Year mindset shift: if it doesn't feel good, it's a no. Whether it's clutter, habits, commitments, or even relationships, this is your invitation to simplify, protect your peace, and choose what truly supports the life you want to build. Take inventory of what you're consuming and who you're spending time with, because those choices shape who you become next.Michelle@GrowBy1.com
One of my goals this year is to create with more intention and that starts with audio. If you're starting a podcast, filming YouTube videos, or recording voiceovers, sound quality matters more than people realise. You can have the best ideas in the world, but if the audio isn't clear, people click away.I've been using the Shure MV7i, and it's genuinely become part of my setup clean sound, easy to use, and perfect whether you're recording at home or on the go.If your New Year intention is to stop overthinking and just start creating, this is your reminder: raise your standards, back yourself, and begin. Get you mic here: https://shorturl.at/j7uGN AD Self-doubt can quietly shape your decisions, relationships, and confidence often without you even realising it. In this episode of A Millennial Mind, I sit down with behavioural scientist and performance expert Dr Shadé Zahrai to unpack why so many of us struggle with self-trust, imposter syndrome, and feeling “not good enough”. We explore the psychology behind self-doubt, why confidence doesn't come before action (it comes after), and how your self-image directly influences the life you build. Dr Shadé shares science-backed tools to stop second-guessing yourself, challenge your inner critic, and start backing yourself — even when it feels uncomfortable. If you're stepping into a new chapter, navigating change, or simply tired of holding yourself back, this conversation will help you move forward with more clarity and self-belief. Who This Episode Is For: Anyone struggling with self-doubt or imposter syndrome People who constantly second-guess themselves High-achievers who feel like they're “faking it” Those wanting to build real self-trust and confidence Anyone stuck in overthinking, comparison or fear of failure What You'll Learn: Why self-doubt isn't a personality flaw The science behind self-trust and confidence Why action builds confidence — not the other way around How imposter syndrome actually works How to quiet your inner critic Practical tools to stop overthinking and start acting Whether personality really can change (and what science says)
Mark Manson is the author of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck and host of the Solved podcast. Back for his third appearance (eps. 476, 882), we skip the backstory and pull questions from a fishbowl. We discuss vanity goals versus values-aligned goals, why procrastination is really about emotional avoidance, the trap of people-pleasing, how to distinguish intuition from impulse, and the delusion of passive manifestation. I also share my own shifting perspectives on positive thinking and the dissolution of self. Mark is the anti-guru. And this conversation is your New Year intervention. Enjoy! Welcome to a new year! To start off 2026, we are talking about one of my favorite topics - discipline and systems! Most people think they need more discipline to get ahead. They don't.What they're missing isn't willpower — it's structure. In this episode, I break down why discipline alone is unreliable and how systems are what actually create consistent progress in your life and business. We cover:Why motivation fades and discipline eventually breaksHow systems eliminate daily decision fatigueThe difference between effort and structureWhy high performers rely on processes, not willpowerIf you're tired of starting over and ready to build something that lasts, this episode will change how you approach your goals.
Send us a textPrayer will change your life as you learn to practice it. In this first of four parts we learn about four purposes of prayer:Prayer is an act of dependencePrayer is an act of communication.Prayer is an act of making our requests known.Prayer is an act of cooperation with G-d.
I like to start the year with a few episodes on things I'm personally working on. Not resolutions, exactly. More like intentions. Or, even better, practices. One of those practices, strange as it sounds, is repeatedly asking the question: “What is this?” It's a question I got from a book of the same name, by Stephen and Martine Batchelor. In that book, they are describing an approach to Buddhist meditation built on the cultivation of doubt and wonder. You can see that as a spiritual practice, but it's also an intellectual and ethical one. It is, for me, a practice that has a lot of bearing on politics and journalism.Stephen Batchelor's latest book, “Buddha, Socrates, and Us: Ethical Living in Uncertain Times,” explores those dimensions of doubt more fully. And so I wanted to have him on the show to discuss the virtues of both certainty and uncertainty, the difficulty of living both ethically and openly. You can see this as a conversation about our inner lives or our outer lives, but of course they are one. And Batchelor, as you'll hear, is just lovely to listen to.Mentioned:Buddha, Socrates, and Us by Stephen BatchelorWhat Is This? by Martine Batchelor and Stephen BatchelorEthics of Care by Carol GilliganBook Recommendations:Children of a Modest Star by Jonathan S. Can I be real with you for a second? 2025 was blah. Not bad. Not terrible. Just... blah. Some wonderful moments. Some not-so-wonderful moments. A lot of ordinary, messy, in-between moments that felt really uncomfortable for someone like me who's used to pushing, achieving, and making things happen. Sound familiar? Because that's exactly what recovery from disordered eating feels like too, doesn't it? Some days are good. Some days are hard. Most days are just... blah. You're not in crisis, but you're also not experiencing the freedom you're aching for. You're just stuck in the gray. But here's what I'm learning as I step into 2026: I don't need perfect. I need to become. In this episode, I'm getting raw and honest about my word for 2026—becoming—and why it terrifies me and excites me all at the same time. I'm sharing how my 2025 word "leadership" showed up in ways I never expected (including firing staff, getting burned by a coach, and learning what NOT to be as a leader). And I'm challenging you to find your own word for 2026. Because sis, having a word of the year in eating disorder recovery? It's a game-changer. In this episode, you'll discover: Why 2025 felt "blah" for me (and why that's okay) How my word "leadership" in 2025 taught me hard lessons I didn't see coming What "becoming" means for me in 2026—and why it's the scariest and most freeing word I could choose Why becoming is about transitioning from structure to being okay in the gray How a word of the year gives you a North Star in recovery when you feel lost Why your identity isn't lost in the eating disorder—it's buried (and recovery is the process of becoming your true self) Practical questions to help YOU choose your word for 2026 Why your word doesn't have to be perfect to be powerful If you're ready to stop waiting for perfect and start leaning into who you're becoming—even if you don't have all the answers yet—this episode is for you. Let's make 2026 the year of becoming. Together. KEY QUOTES FROM THIS EPISODE

In today's episode, you're going to learn exactly how to achieve your goals, stay motivated, and create real, lasting change in your life. If you've struggled to create change that sticks… If you know exactly what you want to change, but can't follow through… If you're tired of blaming willpower… This conversation will give you clarity, relief, and a proven way forward. Joining Mel today is Dr. Katy Milkman, PhD, one of the world's leading behavioral scientists, an endowed professor at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and co-founder of the Behavior Change for Good Initiative. In her lab at UPenn, Dr. Milkman consolidated the findings from 192 researchers and found that there are 7 hidden barriers that stop people from changing, even when they desperately want to. Today, she walks through each of the 7 barriers and explains why each barrier requires a different, evidence-backed strategy. Trying harder doesn't work. Using the right tool does. Dr. Milkman will also share the secret weapon for creating real change in your life called the Fresh Start Effect. In this episode, you'll learn: -The real reason change feels so hard – and why you're not lazy, broken, or lacking discipline -The 7 hidden barriers that quietly stop you from following through -How to identify which barrier is blocking you -Why willpower keeps letting you down and what works when motivation disappears -Why procrastination, impulsivity, and forgetting are predictable and the simple tools that stop them -How to make hard habits feel easier and more rewarding, so they finally stick -The science-backed way to design your environment for success instead of relying on self-control In this conversation, Dr. Milkman gives you a practical framework to stop fighting yourself and start working with how your brain actually functions. If you're ready for this year to be different, this episode is for you. You're not broken. You're not behind. And once you understand the science, change finally becomes possible.
