It's Marvel Monday and the Avengers face their ultimate challenge! ABOUT AVENGERS: ENDGAME After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble once more in order to reverse Thanos' actions and restore balance to the universe. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR AVENGERS: ENDGAME 2019 | Theatrical Release CAST & CREW OF AVENGERS: ENDGAME Directors: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo Writers: Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Stan Lee Cast: Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk Chris Hemsworth as Thor Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man Karen Gillan as Nebula Zoe Saldaña as Gamora Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS The movie kicks off by showing us what Hawkeye was doing during Infinity War: teaching his daughter to shoot bow and arrows. Suddenly, his wife and kids turn to dust and he has no idea why. 23 days later, Tony Stark & Nebula are stuck in space together. She's helping him heal. They're about to run out of oxygen when Captain Marvel shows up to save them. She brings them back to Earth where they're reunited with Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Rhodey & Rocket. The happy reunion doesn't last long. Tony does one of his famous freak outs, saying things he will most certainly regret. Captain Marvel gets the rundown & decides she's going to go kill Thanos herself. Everyone is like this witch shows up out of nowhere and now wants to be the hero, but Thor likes her and says we should go. So they track Thanos down. He's like oh hi. I destroyed the stones. My bad. So Thor cuts his head off. Fast forward 5 years and Scott randomly pops out of the quantum realm machine, very confused. So he goes to talk to the Avengers about his experience. He tells Cap & Natasha about how for him, the 5 years was only 5 minutes. Maybe there's some way to use the quantum realm to go back in time and stop Thanos. Only one guy is smart enough to help - Tony. But now Tony has a daughter & he's not interested in helping. But Tony can't forget about it. He pokes around and figures out how it could work. Scott, Cap, and Natasha turn to the next smartest guy they know - Bruce. He agrees to help and they do some experiments but nothing overly helpful. Tony shows up with a time traveling device and says it's time to get the band back together. They do some testing and find out they can go to the past and bring something back without changing anything. So they have a plan - team up and go get the stones and bring them to the present which would prevent Thanos from being able to do his thing. Banner, Lang, Rogers, and Stark travel back to New York during Loki's 2012 invasion. At the Sanctum Sanctorum, Banner persuades the Ancient One to hand over the Time Stone by promising that all of the Infinity Stones will eventually be returned to their rightful places in time. Plus, Doctor Strange gave it up willingly in his time which is good enough for the Ancient One. Meanwhile, at Stark Tower, Rogers successfully recovers the Mind Stone from Hydra agents posing as S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives. However, Stark and Lang's plan to steal the Space Stone goes wrong, allowing Loki to escape with it. To recover from the setback, Rogers and Stark travel further back to 1970, where Stark obtains an earlier version of the Space Stone and unexpectedly gets the chance to speak with his father. Rogers steals additional Pym Particles needed for their return trip and catches a glimpse of his lost love, Peggy Carter. Meanwhile, Thor and Rocket journey to Asgard in 2013. Rocket extracts the Reality Stone from Jane Foster, while Thor reunites with his mother, Frigga, who snaps him out of his funk and gets his swag and his hammer back. In 2014, Nebula and Rhodey travel to Morag and secure the Power Stone before Peter Quill can retrieve it. Hawkeye and Black Widow head to Vormir, where Red Skull explains that the Soul Stone can only be obtained through the sacrifice of someone you love. Romanoff gives her life so Barton can claim the Stone. As Rhodes and Nebula prepare to return to the present, Nebula's cybernetic implants connect with those of her past self. This allows the 2014 version of Thanos to learn about his future defeat and the Avengers' plan to reverse it. Thanos captures Nebula and sends her 2014 counterpart into the future to infiltrate the Avengers and pave the way for his arrival. So they all return back in the present with the stones, sans Natasha. They put the stones on an iron glove and Bruce agrees that he's probably the best dude for the job. He snaps and immediately collapses. Hawkeye immediately gets a phone call from his wife. It worked!!! But the happiness doesn't last long because 2014 Gamora used the Time Machine to get 2014 Thanos to show up and shoot the Avengers compound up big time. He's like thanks for getting all of the stones together for me. It's giant fight time, folks. And it's not looking great for the Avengers despite the fact that Thor's hammer saw Cap as worthy enough to use it. But just when it's looking bleak, Doctor Strange returns by opening portals for the rest of the Avengers to show up and join the battle. Avengers assemble and IT'S AWESOME! It's a tough battle and Scott is busy getting his van Time Machine up and running since Thanos destroyed the other one so that they can return the stones. Captain Marvel shows up last minute and it's looking like they might do it but Thanos makes the van explode. Thanos gets the gauntlet back but Captain Marvel stops him from snapping his fingers. He's able to free himself. It's looking like a lost cause but Tony looks over at Strange who holds up 1 finger, showing Tony that this is the 1 in 14 million chances they win. Tony is able to get the stones and snap his fingers and make Thanos and his baddies disappear. But unfortunately the blast was too much for Tony and he dies. At Tony's funeral, all the Avengers show up to show their respects. They create a new Time Machine and Captain America goes to return all of the stones to their proper time. But he doesn't return to present day. Well, he does but he's old. He decided to stay in 1970 and grow old with Peggy Carter. Steve gives Sam his shield. We have a new Captain America now. It's Marvel Monday and Ant-Man teams up with The Wasp! ABOUT ANT-MAN AND THE WASP As Scott Lang balances being both a superhero and a father, Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR ANT-MAN AND THE WASP July 6, 2018 | Theatrical Release CAST & CREW OF ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Director: Peyton Reed Writers: Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Paul Rudd Cast: Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp Michael Peña as Luis Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost Randall Park as Jimmy Woo Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster/Goliath Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS We open with a flashback to the days when Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne were the original Ant-Man and Wasp. Things are going great until Janet gets trapped in the Quantum Realm, which, as it turns out, is not an ideal vacation destination. Fast forward to after the events of Civil War. Scott Lang is nearing the end of his house arrest and trying to stay out of trouble. Hank and Hope briefly open a tunnel to the Quantum Realm, which somehow causes Scott to have a vision of Janet as a little girl playing hide-and-seek. Instead of questioning any of this, everyone decides it's proof that Janet is still alive. Hope and Hank kidnap Scott, replacing him with a giant ant wearing his ankle monitor. The trio sets out to rescue Janet, but first they need a special part from shady businessman Sonny Burch. Sonny immediately realizes there's money to be made and betrays them, leading to a fight with a mysterious masked woman called Ghost, who steals Hank's entire portable laboratory. Trying to get their lab back, they visit Hank's old partner Bill Foster, who explains that Ghost is actually Ava Starr, the daughter of another former colleague whose experiment went very, very wrong. Ava is now phasing in and out of existence and is constantly in pain. Her plan? Steal Janet's Quantum Realm energy to save herself. The only problem is that doing so might kill Janet. Meanwhile, Janet starts sending messages from the Quantum Realm and provides directions. She warns them they only have a couple of hours before the Quantum Realm decides to strand them for another hundred years. Things get complicated. Sonny learns where they are. The FBI arrests Hank and Hope. Ava steals the lab. It's alot but also nothing. Eventually, Scott helps everyone escape, they recover the lab, and Hank ventures into the Quantum Realm to rescue Janet. He finds her alive, looking surprisingly well for someone who's spent decades trapped in a dimension beyond space and time. What follows is a giant chase across San Francisco featuring shrinking buildings, growing cars, a whole lot of size changing. While Scott and Hope deal with Sonny and Ghost, Hank successfully brings Janet home. Rather than holding a grudge, Janet uses her Quantum powers to stabilize Ava and save her life. In the end, Scott finally completes his house arrest, Sonny gets arrested, Ava and Bill go into hiding, and everyone seems happy. But then the mid-credits scene happens. And it's no longer happy go lucky time. Scott heads back into the Quantum Realm to collect healing energy for Ava. Just as he's ready to come home, Hank, Hope, and Janet all turn to dust thanks to Thanos. Scott is left trapped in the Quantum Realm. There's a dirty word philanthropy doesn't like to talk about - politics. But does staying above the political fray actually prevent us from supporting the communities and issues we claim to care about? In this live audience episode, Glen Galaich sits down with Vu Le, author of Reimagining Nonprofits and Philanthropy and the voice behind Nonprofit AF, for a funny, urgent, and table-flipping conversation. With his signature humor and candor, Vu challenges the fake rule that serious work has to be humorless, and pushes the sector to look at what conservative funders have built, what progressive funders keep avoiding, and what it would take to actually fund the future they say they want.Together, Glen and Vu dig into the power dynamics that keep nonprofits begging for crumbs, the limits of donor-centered philanthropy, and the need to make transformative, generational investments to support our democracy today, rather than waiting for it to crumble around us. At the center of it all is Vu's challenge: philanthropy cannot fight for democracy, equity, justice, and a livable future while staying detached from power. We must harness our imagination and give all our resources like our future depends on it.

They debate whether you should anchor your DraftKings and FanDuel DFS lineups with heavy hitters like Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, or pivot to incredible value plays sitting in the mid-to-low $6K and $7K ranges.Timestamps:0:00 - The Memorial Tournament DFS Picks & Best Bets1:09 - Tournament/Venue Preview (Muirfield Village)12:12 - DFS Plays25:31 - Betting CardWhat you'll learn:Why the real betting value this week lies strictly in top 5, top 10, and top 20 wagers instead of traditional outrights. How to approach a unique 70-player field where nearly the entire pool makes the cut, and how that alters your DFS strategy.Which core anchors are absolute locks for your cash game lineups.Under-the-radar longshots and sleepers—including a wild, statistically backed "old man" narrative play.Players Discussed:Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Sep Straka, Nick Taylor, Sunjae Im, Tony Finau, Tom Hoge, Russell Henley, Cameron Young, Jason Day, Patrick Cantlay, Sam Burns, Alex Fitzpatrick, and Brandt Snedeker."Scottie Scheffler is minus 148 to top five. The countdown continues with the film that redefined what a Marvel movie could be. Adam makes the case that Guardians of the Galaxy is the moment the MCU stopped being a factory of serviceable hits and started trusting filmmakers to author something, and why that lesson is exactly what the Multiverse Saga forgot. Along the way: how the film quietly built the Infinity Stones mythos and Thanos himself, why Ronan is the one weak link, the franchise's death-fakeout problem, and what Disney's hunger for Disney+ and the Fox deal did to the golden goose.
What if the villains of history, mythology, religion, and politics were never the real villains? In this thought-provoking episode of Kaka Balli Punjabi Podcast, we challenge some of the most powerful narratives ever told and ask a controversial question: Who decides who is a hero and who is a villain? From Mahabharata and Ramayana to world history, religion, politics, psychology, and modern pop culture, we explore how society creates heroes, villains, and enemies. Is history really written by the winners? Are we taught facts, or are we taught narratives? We discuss Duryodhan, Karna, Krishna, Ravana, Aurangzeb, Churchill, Hitler, Thanos, and many other figures who continue to divide opinion. Some are remembered as heroes, some as monsters, but what happens when we examine their stories from a different perspective? In the Mahabharata, was Duryodhan simply a power-hungry villain, or was he a loyal friend who stood by Karna when society rejected him because of caste? If Krishna is considered divine, why did he allow or encourage tactics that broke the rules of war? Can the end ever justify the means? In the Ramayana, Ravana is remembered as one of the greatest villains in Indian mythology. But what happens when we look at the story through the lens of family honor, power, pride, and perspective? Does every story have two sides? We also discuss the idea that many of history's most hated figures genuinely believed they were doing the right thing. From Aurangzeb to modern political leaders, how often do people commit questionable actions while believing they are serving a greater cause? The conversation then moves beyond mythology into modern history and geopolitics.• Is America really the world's police?• How do governments use propaganda?• How are wars justified?• Why are some leaders celebrated while others are condemned?• Does power influence morality? We explore the idea that public perception is often shaped by media, politics, religion, education systems, and cultural narratives. The same person can be viewed as a hero by one group and a villain by another. The podcast also examines religion, faith, heaven, hell, divine punishment, and the human tendency to believe that the religion we are born into is the ultimate truth. Are beliefs chosen, or are they inherited?Beyond history and religion, we look at fictional villains such as Thanos and characters from The Boys. Why do modern audiences increasingly relate to villains? Why do so many fictional villains have understandable motivations? Why are morally grey characters becoming more popular than traditional heroes? We also discuss an uncomfortable truth: villains may play an essential role in human progress.Throughout history, crisis has often created innovation.World wars accelerated medicine, engineering, aviation, and technology. The Cold War accelerated space exploration, computing, and the digital revolution.Periods of famine and hardship led to agricultural breakthroughs and large-scale reforms. In nature, predators force prey to evolve. Pressure creates adaptation. Competition creates growth. Could the same principle apply to human civilization?Perhaps villains, rivals, enemies, and crises act as society's ultimate stress tests. This episode is not about glorifying violence, hatred, dictators, or harmful actions. It is about questioning assumptions, challenging narratives, exploring different perspectives, and encouraging critical thinking.Topics Covered:• Heroes vs Villains• Duryodhan and Karna• Krishna and Mahabharata• Ravana and Ramayana• Bhagavad Gita• Aurangzeb• Churchill vs Hitler• America and Global Politics• Propaganda and Media Narratives• Religion and Faith• Heaven and Hell• Philosophy and Critical Thinking• Thanos and The Boys• Psychology of Villains• History Written by Winners• Power, Morality and Perspective• Why Society Needs Villains• Human Nature• Politics and Ideology• Indian History and Mythology
ABOUT AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR April 27, 2018 | Theatrical Release CAST & CREW OF AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Directors: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo Writers: Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Stan Lee Cast: Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man Chris Hemsworth as Thor Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther Zoe Saldaña as Gamora Karen Gillan as Nebula Tom Hiddleston as Loki Paul Bettany as Vision Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS So, they get right to it. Bad boy Thanos gets an infinity stone, the Power Stone. His play is to get all six Infinity Stones and wipe out half of all life in the universe. His first stop is the ship carrying the surviving people of Asgard. Thanos easily overwhelms the remaining Asgardians, beats up Hulk, and steals the Space Stone from Loki's Tesseract. He then kills Loki. Thanos then destroys the ship and continues his hunt. Edris Elba helps make sure that Hulk returns to earth, where he crashes through the New York Sanctum. Back as Bruce, He warns Doctor Stephen Strange and Wong that Thanos is coming. Tony Stark joins the conversation. Before he can call Steve Rogers to get the band back together, they attack the city to claim the Time Stone from Strange. Spider-Man is pulled into the chaos, and after they captures Strange aboard his spaceship, Stark and Peter Parker secretly hitch a ride into space to rescue him while Wong remains behind to defend the Sanctum. Meanwhile, the Guardians of the Galaxy answer a distress signal and save Thor floating in space. They agree they need to work together to stop Thanos. But they're too late. Thanos already possesses the Reality Stone and uses its power to manipulate everything around them. He captures Gamora after learning she knows the location of the Soul Stone. Desperate to save her adopted sister Nebula from torture, Gamora tells him where the stone is . When they get there, the keeper of the Soul Stone, one Red Skull, reveals the price required to obtain it: the sacrifice of someone truly loved. In one of the film's most tragic moments, Thanos throws Gamora to her death, earning the Soul Stone. Vision and Wanda are ambushed in Scotland by Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive, who attempt to rip the Mind Stone from Vision's forehead. Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon arrive just in time to save them, bringing the wounded Vision back to the Avengers Compound. Vision urges Wanda to destroy the Mind Stone and kill him if necessary to stop Thanos, but she cannot bring herself to do it. Instead, the team heads to Wakanda, believing Shuri may be able to safely remove the stone without sacrificing Vision's life. Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange end up on Titan and come face to face with Star-Lord, Drax, and Mantis and they realize they're in the same team. Using the Time Stone, Strange studies millions of possible futures and discovers only one path where they succeed. Together they execute an elaborate plan to restrain Thanos and remove the Infinity Gauntlet. For a moment, it almost works—until Nebula reveals that Gamora is dead. Overcome with grief and rage, Star-Lord attacks Thanos, ruining the team's hold on him. Thanos breaks free, defeats everyone, and nearly kills Iron Man. To save Tony's life, Doctor Strange willingly surrenders the Time Stone, despite knowing how dangerous it is. In Wakanda, the Avengers prepare for an all-out invasion from Thanos's army. Bruce Banner, unable to transform into Hulk, enters battle wearing the Hulkbuster armor. The tide finally turns when Thor arrives in spectacular fashion alongside Rocket and Groot, tearing through Thanos's army with his fresh new hammer/ax combo, Stormbreaker. Despite their efforts, Thanos himself eventually reaches Vision. Wanda heartbreakingly destroys the Mind Stone—and Vision with it—just before Thanos can claim it. But using the Time Stone, Thanos reverses time, restores Vision briefly to life, and violently tears the stone from his forehead, killing him again. With all six Infinity Stones finally united, the Infinity Gauntlet is complete. Thor attacks and buries Stormbreaker deep into Thanos's chest, but Thanos coldly tells him he “should have gone for the head.” He snaps his fingers and vanishes. Across the universe, half of all life immediately turns to dust. Bucky Barnes, Black Panther, Groot, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Drax, and Mantis all fade away. On Earth, Nick Fury manages to send a desperate signal from a mysterious pager moments before he too disappears. The survivors are left shattered and defeated. Tony Stark and Nebula are stranded on Titan. The remaining Avengers stand in stunned silence in Wakanda. And somewhere far away, Thanos sits alone on a quiet planet, watching the sunrise over a universe he believes he has finally “saved.” Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? Two weeks away and the Golden Crew comes back swinging — through some technical chaos that briefly ejected Tom from his own show (we're fine, he's fine, the audio's mostly fine).
Matt and Michael wrestle with one of the oldest questions in philosophy. Why does accepting objective meaning make life harder, not easier? They start with nihilism and why almost nobody can actually live it out. Michael plays devil's advocate for the social contract view of morality. Matt pushes back hard. If your worldview is just preferences, what do you do when Thanos shows up? The conversation spirals through C.S. Lewis, 1984, Sam Harris's wireless dog fence, and why telling the truth is just easier than lying. They land on the cross as the place where God measures himself by himself and absorbs the gap we cannot close. Cheers y'all

Could the real competitive advantage in the AI era come not from replacing human work, but from amplifying it? As artificial intelligence rapidly evolves, are professionals focusing enough on where their judgment and expertise matter? In this episode of The Agency Blueprint podcast, I am joined by Thanos Diacakis to explore AI as a powerful productivity partner that enables agencies and knowledge workers to move faster while maintaining high-quality output. Thanos is a technology leader with over 25 years of experience helping startups and high-growth companies overcome software bottlenecks, scale engineering teams, and deliver high-quality products faster. He's held leadership roles at places like Uber, and today he's deeply involved in how teams are leveraging AI to do better, faster, more human-centered work. Listen in to learn why AI still requires human judgment and expertise, especially when it comes to decision-making, prioritization, and contextual reasoning. You will also learn more about managing context in AI conversations, structuring prompts, experimenting with different AI tools, and building agent-based processes. Key Questions: [05:00] Is fear of being replaced preventing your team from embracing AI? [13:41] How well do you understand how AI tools process context and information, and could that understanding help you use them more effectively? [20:25] If you were managing a younger version of yourself, how would you structure the work with AI? [22:46] Are you investing enough time experimenting with AI tools? What You'll Discover: [01:28] Understanding what AI is actually good at today and where it still struggles in real-world workflows. [03:10] How improvements in AI reliability are making multi-step automated workflows more effective than they were even months ago. [05:41] Why AI still requires specialized human expertise rather than replacing professionals outright. [09:07] How AI is forcing professionals to rethink their unique value and identify the skills that truly differentiate them. [11:37] The possibility that AI could eventually replicate certain aspects of human reasoning by modeling patterns of thought. [14:04] How AI conversations work through context and why understanding this is essential for effective prompting. [18:38] How breaking tasks into smaller steps can significantly improve the reliability of AI-generated results. [21:17] A practical framework for designing AI workflows by imagining how you would manage a junior employee performing the task. [23:29] Thanos' strategy for continuously testing new AI tools and reinvesting the time savings AI provides. [25:00] Why beginners should dedicate a small percentage of their work time to learning and experimenting with AI. [26:44] Why businesses that continuously improve their workflows with AI will quickly outpace competitors that do not. [28:42] How fear of AI often comes from not understanding it and why experimentation reduces that fear. [31:18] Why modern AI tools often require far less prompt engineering than people expect. [32:21] MCP (Model Context Protocol) and how AI can use external tools to perform tasks like calculations or data retrieval. Connect with Thanos: WebsiteLinkedIn

Iterative development systems are no longer optional—they are the backbone of modern software teams that need to move quickly without breaking everything. In the second half of the conversation, Thanos Diacakis moves beyond communication problems and into something deeper: the systems that enable teams to consistently deliver. About Thanos Diacakis With over 25 years in software development, Thanos Diacakis has worked across startups and companies like Uber and Included Health, where he scaled complex systems to millions of users. He now focuses on helping teams build faster, improve quality, and avoid the chaos that comes from outdated practices. Connect with Thanos on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/thanosd/ Why Iterative Development Systems Replace Traditional Pipelines Traditional development follows a sequence: Research → Product → Design → Engineering That model is breaking down. Thanos explains that these steps are now compressed into a single continuous loop. Instead of handing work between teams, modern systems integrate them.
Software communication gaps are the invisible force behind most failed or delayed software projects—and they often start long before a single line of code is written. In the conversation with Thanos Diacakis, one thing becomes immediately clear: teams don't struggle because they lack talent or tools. They struggle because they lack a shared language. About Thanos Diacakis With over 25 years in software development, Thanos Diacakis has worked with early-stage ventures and tech giants like Uber and Included Health. He led the technical integration of the JUMP Bikes acquisition, scaling the platform to 45k vehicles and over 2 million monthly trips. Today, he helps teams deliver faster with better quality—without burning out in the process. Connect with Thanos on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/thanosd/ The Real Cost of Software Communication Gaps At the heart of most broken projects is a simple pattern: business teams describe what they want, developers interpret it, and both sides assume alignment. That assumption is where everything breaks. Thanos describes a familiar scenario: a business writes a multi-page specification, hands it to engineers, and waits weeks for results. When the work returns, it's "not what we meant." This isn't incompetence—it's translation failure. Natural language is inherently ambiguous. Code is not. Bridging that gap requires more than documentation. It requires a system for continuously refining understanding. Why Software Communication Gaps Get Worse Over Time Many teams respond to misalignment by adding more: detail documents requirements control That reaction feels logical—but it makes things worse. Instead of improving clarity, it increases rigidity. Teams become slower, less adaptive, and more frustrated. ⚠️ Warning: More documentation does not fix misunderstanding—it often amplifies it. The real issue isn't a lack of detail. It's a lack of feedback cycles. Without frequent validation, teams drift further apart with every iteration. Closing Software Communication Gaps with Iteration The solution Thanos emphasizes is deceptively simple: shorten the loop. Instead of building for a month, build for two days. Instead of guessing, validate continuously. This shifts development from a "delivery model" to a "discovery model."

This episode of The Rizzuto Show is what happens when a comedy podcast decides to ask one simple question: “What could possibly go wrong?”—and then immediately proves the answer is everything. We kick things off with Rafe's E Memoriam, where absolutely nothing is safe—not even your dignity. From there, we dive straight into the wildest discovery of the week: Love Cloud Flights. Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like. No, it does not get less weird the more you think about it. And yes… someone floated the idea of going solo. Which raises a lot of questions, most of them directed at the poor pilot. From sky chaos to street confusion, the crew tackles one of life's greatest unsolved mysteries: what happened to limousines? At one point, these rolling party tanks were everywhere—proms, weddings, random Tuesdays—but now? Gone. Vanished. Thanos-snapped out of existence. We break down whether rideshares killed the vibe, or if society just collectively decided we didn't need mirrored ceilings and warm Sprite anymore. Then things take a turn into modern dating insanity, where filters have completely rewritten reality. Enter: The Dukes of Haggard—our completely ridiculous (and somehow genius) reality show concept where contestants try to guess what people actually look like beyond the filters. It's part dating show, part forensic investigation, and fully proof that the internet has broken our brains.Of course, we also celebrate King Scott hitting 45 (sorry, dude), which leads to some aggressive aging jokes and a reminder that time waits for no one… especially not this comedy podcast. It's weird. It's chaotic. It's probably not solving anything—but it's definitely making it funnier. Comics legend Jim Starlin returns to talk about the latest chapter in his ongoing Dreadstar revival — Dreadstar vs. Dreadstar, the newest original graphic novel in a series he's been building through Kickstarter since his triumphant return to the character in 2021. The conversation covers the full arc of Dreadstar's history — from its origins as the first title ever published under Marvel's Epic imprint, through its run at First Comics and brief Malibu revival, to the decision to bypass the big publishers entirely and build a new audience directly through crowdfunding. Jim talks about what it's like to have creative ownership over Vanth Dreadstar in a way he never quite had with Thanos, why the Kickstarter model has given him a freedom he never expected at this stage of his career, and what he still has left to say with a character he's had mapped out for at least five more graphic novels. You only have a few days left to back Dreadstar vs. Dreadstar here: http://kck.st/3Nn0EJM! You can follow Jim on Instagram @jimstarlin or Facebook @JimStarlinfanpage. It's Marvel Monday and the Avengers are back to face their greatest threat yet(?)! ABOUT AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON When Tony Stark and Bruce Banner try to jump-start a dormant peacekeeping program called Ultron, things go horribly wrong and it's up to Earth's mightiest heroes to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plan. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON May 1, 2015 | Theatrical Release CAST & CREW OF AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Director: Joss Whedon Writers: Joss Whedon, Stan Lee, Jack Kirby Cast: Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk Chris Hemsworth as Thor Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye James Spader as Ultron Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch Paul Bettany as Jarvis/Vision Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS Meet the Avengers — back together again because apparently no one else can handle a simple “let's raid a HYDRA base” situation. Their mission? Break into Baron von Strucker's operation, stop some deeply concerning human experimentation, and get Loki's scepter back where it belongs. Easy enough… until they run into Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, a pair of enhanced twins with super speed, mind games, and enough power to make everyone very uncomfortable. After recovering the scepter, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner do what Tony Stark and Bruce Banner always do: they mess with something they absolutely should not mess with. Hidden inside the scepter is the advanced intelligence they think can finally complete Ultron, a global peacekeeping program Tony has been dreaming about. Unfortunately, Ultron wakes up with exactly one idea in mind: humanity has got to go. He destroys J.A.R.V.I.S., wrecks Avengers Tower, steals the scepter, and heads out to build himself a better future… one without people in it. Ultron recruits Wanda and Pietro by showing them Tony's greatest hits in collateral damage, and together they set out to collect vibranium for whatever nightmare project he's cooking up. When the Avengers try to stop them, Wanda gets inside everyone's heads and forces them to confront their worst fears. Things really go off the rails when she manipulates Bruce into becoming the Hulk in the middle of a city, leaving Tony to suit up in the Hulkbuster armor and punch his friend through several buildings. Not great for public relations. With the team shaken, divided, and freshly hated by the public, Hawkeye brings everyone to the one place no one saw coming: his secret farmhouse, where he casually reveals that he has a wife, kids, and a whole hidden life none of them knew about. It's a surprisingly grounding stop for a team on the verge of collapse, and it gives them just enough clarity to realize Ultron's plan is much bigger than they thought. Once Wanda sees that he's not trying to save the world but end it, she and Pietro switch sides and join the Avengers. Things escalate quickly when Ultron kidnaps Natasha, forcing the team into another rescue while also arguing over whether they should trust the strange new synthetic body Tony and Bruce have been building. Thor returns just in time to supercharge the process, explaining that the gem in Loki's scepter is tied to something far more powerful: the Infinity Stones. The result is Vision, a mysterious new being who immediately earns everyone's trust by casually lifting Thor's hammer like it's no big deal. The final showdown takes the team to Sokovia, where Ultron has used vibranium to turn an entire chunk of the city into a floating extinction-level weapon. If he can lift it high enough and drop it, humanity is done. So naturally, the Avengers split up to save civilians, battle an endless robot army, rescue Natasha, and stop the apocalypse all at once. Nick Fury even shows up in a Helicarrier because if the sky city is going down, he's not about to miss it. The battle comes at a cost. Pietro sacrifices himself to save Hawkeye and a child, Wanda unleashes her grief in spectacular fashion, and Hulk ultimately chooses to disappear rather than risk hurting Natasha or anyone else again. In the end, Tony and Thor destroy Sokovia before it can wipe out the planet, and Vision finishes off Ultron for good — or at least as “for good” as these things ever are. By the end, the original team has changed. Thor heads back to Asgard to investigate the larger cosmic mystery. Tony steps away. Hawkeye retires. And Steve Rogers and Natasha are left to train a new generation of Avengers, including War Machine, Falcon, Wanda, and Vision. And just when you think it's over, Thanos puts on a gauntlet and basically says, “Fine. I'll do it myself. It's Marvel Monday and we're blasting off into space! ABOUT GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY A group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY August 1, 2014 | Theatrical Release CAST & CREW OF GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Director: James Gunn Writers: James Gunn, Nicole Perlman, Dan Abnett Cast: Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord Vin Diesel as Groot (voice) Bradley Cooper as Rocket (voice) Zoe Saldaña as Gamora Dave Bautista as Drax BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS It's 1988 and young Peter Quill is having a tough go of it but at least he has his music. His mom is sick and she ends up passing away. He's real sad and runs out of the hospital into a foggy field. Unfortunately for him, the hits keep coming and he's abducted by an alien ship. 26 years later, we're on the planet of Morag. We see a dude with a mask of glowing red eyes walking around. He uses this device to see what used to be on the planet. He takes his mask off and we see it's Peter all grown up, still a big fan of music. He tries to steal this orb thing but is taken by guys. Ultimately, he's able to escape, orb in hand. Yondu, the guy who abducted Peter way back when, finds out that Peter stole the orb and puts a bounty out for him. Bad guy Ronan also finds out the orb was taken and sends an assassin named Gamora after him. But that's not allllll - bounty hunters Rocket (a raccoon) and Groot (a tree) see him and decide to go after him when they find out how much his bounty is worth. Peter tries to sell the orb but it doesn't work. Gamora is waiting for him as he walks out and takes the orb. A fight breaks out which is a good time for Rocket and Groot to jump in on the fight. They all end up getting arrested. While in prison, they meet a guy named Drax who is known for killing associates of Ronan, so he's got his sights on Gamora. Peter stops him from killing her by hatching an idea - let her take you to Ronan to kill him. Gamora explains that she's actually betrayed Ronan and intended to sell the orb. Together, they're able to escape. We then see Ronan talking to Gamora's dad, Thanos, about her betrayal. He sends his other daughter (who he loves less), Nebula, to go get her back. So they take the orb to a dude who can open it. Turns out, inside is the Infinity Stone. So that's not great. Nebula shows up and destroys Gamora's ship while Ronan's fighters capture the Orb. Peter sees Gamora out there floating in space about to die. So he goes out there and gives her his helmet so that he can pull her back into his ship. So, Peter & Co. know that facing Ronan will not turn out well but that they cannot let him use the Infinity Stone. So they need to hatch a plan. Speaking of which, Ronan puts the Stone in his warhammer, taking its power for himself. Nebula, hating her dad, agrees to team up with him. So the squad decides to team up with Yondu and co. to stop Ronan. Ronan pulls up and just starts absolutely wrecking their fleet like it's nothing. Inside the ship, Drax gets his revenge moment, Gamora and Nebula have their sister fight, and everyone quickly realizes… oh no, we are in over our heads. Peter decides the best way to stop him is… a dance-off distraction which gives Drax and Rocket just enough time to destroy Ronan's hammer. Peter grabs the Infinity Stone, which should absolutely kill him—but plot twist! His friends grab onto him, they all share the power of friendship, and together they vaporize Ronan. The group officially becomes the Guardians of the Galaxy, their records get wiped clean, and Quill learns he's only half human which is why the Infinity Stone didn't kill him. Finally, Peter opens the last gift from his mom: a new mixtape. Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? Robert Horry, Harper, and the host kick off a Friday “shoot around” bonus episode during March Madness, inviting listener questions via Big Shot Bob Pod socials. They share a personal connection through Greg “Free Beer” Daniels, a longtime radio host who also calls tournament games with Horry and uses a simplified on-air last name. The group then notes Steve Kerr winning an Oscar as an executive producer for the documentary short "All The Empty Rooms" and pivots to a discussion of the Warriors’ middling results since 2019, attributing decline to aging, injuries, roster changes, low draft picks, and shifting blame from coaches to talent. Listener prompts lead into favorite movie fight/chase scenes (Matrix Reloaded, Daredevil hallway fight, Thanos vs. Hulk, John Wick, The Equalizer, Indiana Jones) and superhero video game ideas (X-Men/Cyclops, Gambit, Deadpool, Blade). They also debate ideal Oscars snack boxes and where they’d eat after a big win, referencing Michael B. Jordan going to In-N-Out, before joking about celebrity access and Horry’s humility. 00:00 Friday Shoot Around Intro 00:50 Rob and Greg Connection 03:31 Steve Kerr Oscar Win 04:23 Warriors Post Dynasty Reality 08:40 Best Movie Fight Scenes 14:28 Superhero Games Wishlist 15:54 Oscars Snack Box Debate 16:35 Picking The Perfect Snacks 18:20 Mexican Doritos Hype 19:23 Oscar Night Fast Food Run 20:23 Where To Celebrate Big Wins 23:21 In N Out Publicity Talk 25:17 Staying Grounded In Fame
