And his vision is growing like crazy.   And why wouldn’t it? Over his career Hisham has advised ministers, legislators, judges and the private sector on commercial law reform strategies to promote economic growth and attract greater foreign investment.  He also served as principal legal advisor to the Permanent Mission of Qatar to the U.N., as legal and economic advisor at the Consulate General of Qatar in Los Angeles and as an advisor to a prominent businessman in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Hisham is passionately committed to the promotion of the rule of law and human rights. He has volunteered for an attorney advocate at the A.C.L.U., for a program director at Amnesty International and for the asylum division at the City of New York Bar Association. Meet Ilse Metchek: From Fit Model, to President of a major fashion company, to buying that company, to starting The California Fashion Association, Ilse has literally done it all. As a manufacturer, Metchek was Owner and President of Ilse M. Inc., which she purchased from the Anjac Corporation in 1984. Her career at Anjac began as the company’s designer in 1967; and seventeen years later, she owned the company! Ms. Metchek was appointed to the U.S. Department of Commerce Exporters’ Textile Advisory Committee (ETAC) in 1998, and still serves in that capacity. Her public service includes participation on the Executive Board of the California Fashion Foundation, the Advisory Council of UCLA Extension, Board member of the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation and the Vernon Chamber of Commerce. Ilse has been voted one of the 500 Most influential people in Los Angeles by Los Angeles Business Journal each of the last 4 years.
