Malte Völz will das ändern!

Gundula Rhoades owns a veterinary practice in Inverell, New South Wales, Australia. Her recently published book, The Food Solution: Eating Today to Save Tomorrow, explains that by eating food that comes from regenerative farms we can help to reverse the degradation of human, animal, and soil health while also combatting climate change. In our conversation, we speak about how Gundula, or Gundi as she prefers to be called, came to realize the connection between soil health, animal health, and human health, and how her training in veterinary sciences did not prepare her to take a holistic approach to healing. We also talk about the changes that she sees currently happening in Australia; as more and more people are realizing the benefits of switching away from chemical-driven food production to more regenerative approaches of healing the land. In addition, we explore the effects of this shift she has noticed in the people and the animals visiting her veterinary clinic.

Pesticides can have a huge impact on the health of your baby!During the development of a baby inside the uterus, numerous nutrients and minerals are needed to ensure all the baby's structures grow as they should. Specifically, vitamins like folic acid and chemicals such as manganese are needed for the neurological development of your baby. However, pesticides such as RoundUp kill the bacteria involved in the production of folic acid inside your body. Plus, the glyphosate that's part of RoundUp also stops plants from absorbing beneficial minerals containing manganese, which is also important for neurological development. In this episode, Dr. Gundi Rhoades talks with her nurses Maddy and Min about the terrible harm pesticides like RoundUp have in fetal development. Gundi also touches on the relationship between chemical agriculture and autism. This condition is rising at an alarming level and it is mostly due to changes in gut microbiome caused by antibiotics and pesticides.Plus, they also expand on the rising cases of infertility and how difficult it has become for young women to conceive, something that was not seen as frequently in past decades. Maddie and Min also share the changes they've seen in their health and their lives after following Gundi's advice and going fully organic.Do you want to take the reins of your health? Gut bacteria is key to your happiness! It sounds like a weird concept, doesn't it? However, studies have shown that gut bacteria have an extremely important role in your happiness and your physical and mental health. In this episode, Gundi reunites with nature researcher Ria Jago to talk about the important role of the gut microbiome and how essential it is to our lives. They discuss the role of bacteria in the production of serotonin, the happiness hormone. Plus, they also reveal the importance of gut bacteria in gut health as well as the type of food you should eat to ensure there is balance in your gut!Gut bacteria can also be damaged, and the widespread use of antibiotics such as Roundup has become a serious problem. Roundup stays in the food you eat and it kills the bacteria in your gut. This also happens when you use certain antibiotics to treat infections. When bacteria starts to regenerate, the harmful ones tend to appear first, causing additional diseases.Plus, when you don't have the right amount of gut bacteria producing serotonin and aiding in the health of your gut, diseases such as depression and irritable bowel syndrome can appear. And the effects don't stop there! Deficient gut bacteria has also been linked to other mood disorders as well as insomnia. But not everything is lost! Gundi goes over some of the things you can do to ensure your gut bacteria is protected and to preserve your health.Do you want to learn more? Tune in!Get a copy of my book accompanying the Podcast! And did you know that by simply switching from white wheat to whole wheat you can see changes that range from no bloating to mood improvements? In this episode, Gundi Rhoades and nature researcher Ria Jago discuss the benefits of whole wheat. They go over the many nutrients a single whole grain of whole wheat contains, from selenium to magnesium, vitamin B1, and many more. Ria and Gundi also explain the mechanism through which gluten causes harm in the body and why whole wheat doesn't have this same effect. Ria is full of questions and Gundi is full of knowledge! Alarmingly, this herbicide is in most of your food, and it has long-term effects that are not common knowledge.Gundi also goes over other benefits of changing refined wheat with whole wheat and describes some of the processes you can perform to make your favorite recipes. Canberra People's Assembly Produced by Vivien Langford and Andy Britt 4th May 2020 The climate community converged on Canberra as bush fire smoke still billowed over the lawns. It was a people's assembly to deal with the climate emergency that has now fallen out of the popular news. Emissions have fallen with a global shutdown but the tipping points have already been passed for our great barrier reef and terrestrial biodiversity. Lest we forget. We hear from Veterinarians for Climate Action, moved by the drought affected livestock and wildlife they see. Indigenous leaders calling for water tanks and the fair allocation of water along the Darling/Baaka river. Extinction Rebellion, The Green Institute and Doctors Against War demanding leadership and citizen participation in our democracy to cut through the corruption and ideology. We also hear from two politicians who stepped out bravely in front of this well informed crowd. One called us the conscience of the nation another was heckled with the cry; " No more Coal! The speakers are:Tim Hollo on getting more participation in our democracy.Bruce Shillingsworth on the empty Darling Baaka River.Mark Butler on ALP Renewables and jobs. Challenged by the assembly calling "No more coal".Adam Bandt on his first day as leader, taking climate change seriously.Senator Larissa Waters calling us the conscience of the nation.Dr Gundi from Vets for climate action about koalas emerging from bush fire zone dehydrated and desperate.Dr Michael Banyard from Vets for climate action on how farmers are changing as climate changes.David Maher on Rehydrating the land. Rose and Christine talk with Gundi Rhoades, an Australian veterinarian, about the bushfires and other devastating effects of the climate emergency that she is witnessing first hand. In this wide-ranging conversation, Gundi discusses how temperatures of 42°C and above impact cattle and wildlife, conventional farming's nutrient deficient soil and its link to climate change, and the heartbreaking koala deaths. She also shares her scientific understanding of how humanity has created this situation and how we can help Mother Earth and ourselves heal as we move forward.
War? Huh? What is it good for? Giving videogame podcasts an easy introduction when they're a bit stuck for ideas. And now it's a good idea for a card game. We had Ivar and Gundi in from 1939 Games to talk about Kards (with a K), a card game based on World War II. It allows alliances to be made across the divide, and friendship is always the main aim of One Life Left. Just ask Keith Stuart and Simon Parkinson for proof. Ivar and Gundi told us how 1939 Games was started, how easy is it to get a grant from the Icelandic government, and what it was like moving from CCP Games to 1939 Games. Kards has been in early access since April, but will be officially launched in February. It's going to have a physical card version as well as a computer one. It was a super full studio this week as Ann didn't have secret work to do, Simon wasn't doing secret work in Tenerife and Ste didn't have to lecture any sleeping students. We also tried to work out the mysteries of the University of Chichester, remembered how good looking the Bitmap Brothers were, and clarified how comfy Everyman cinemas were. Cheerio! Gundi has always dreamt of travelling the world and achieving the freedom she was looking for, specifically generating passive income. She started off as a musician and a conductor but tired of the hectic life and looked for alternative ways to creating an income. Gundi returned to California and many things happened all at once. She experienced a difficult time in her life that lasted quite a while, the entire time Gundi was looking for a way to start a business online. She learned from someone in a digital nomad group how they started their business by selling books on Amazon so she decided to give writing a book a try. That turned into her Sassy Zen series and really took off. She learned that creating a best seller on Amazon wasn’t necessarily that difficult but continuing to sell books is the real challenge. She expanded her efforts into courses and using the books she was writing as sales funnels to draw people into her business. The Digital Nomad Gundi has lived in New York and Las Angeles but has also stayed in South Africa for three months, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Bali, Dubai, England, and has been based in southern Spain for a while now. The opportunity to be everywhere is redefining work. Marketing Your Business You need to be a good communicator. Gundi ran her own ensemble as a conductor so she was learning a lot about marketing and networking without thinking about it as such. Music and writing are both creative endeavors so there’s a lot of overlap and the skill of communicating with people applies to both. We sometimes forget the opportunities we have in this day and age to start a business online and reach people. Writing A Book Short is the new long. It’s actually much smarter to write shorter books and create a series of them because then you build a brand they can cross promote each other. If people like one book, they often buy the whole series. Being a best selling author is very important if you want to be a speaker or a consultant if you want people to take you seriously. You can present yourself as a real expert in your field and by the time the reader finishes your book, they feel like they really know you. You can turn cold leads into hot leads by getting them to read a book. Writing a book will work in nearly any industry as long as you know how to market your book on Amazon and can get it found. Some are more effective than others like business, health, and self help. 25,000 words is probably as long as a “short” book should be. Aim for a lower price and then integrate it with your social media and whatever content you create. Audio books have
The ultimate, sole goal for most authors is to get more book sales. This is why most authors don't make enough money from their books. Instead of viewing a new reader as the end result, use your book to strengthen the relationship and provide calls-to-action. Your book is a funnel that people pay to get into. It's not the main product. This is how authors become authorpreneurs and expand the revenue potential for each of their books. Gundi Gabrielle shares a lot of great insights in this snippet alone. If someone opts in through your affiliate link, should you continue to email them? That's the question I got recently from an affiliate. Here's my answer. Gundi Gabrielle asked this recently during Nick Stephenson's affiliate launch: "quick question though, my current optins all come from the free Reader Magnets book. Obviously, they were signed up to an auto responder. Does that auto responder include all the free videos, webinar invite, etc.? In other words, I don’t have to contact those leads again? In this episode, I answer Gundi's question.
