In the ever-evolving world of fine art photography, capturing the intersection of the old and the new is both a challenge and an art form in itself. Knox Kronenberg, a prominent photographer based in Austin, Texas, embodies this intersection through his work, which uniquely blends historical elements with modern contexts. As technology advances and the digital age transforms artistic mediums, Kronenberg's large-scale, black-and-white photography projects provoke thought and inspire passion. How does one merge the timeless essence of the past with the ever-changing present in photography? What drives an artist to recreate moments rather than merely capturing them?Welcome to Tuesdays with Morrisey, where host Adam Morrisey dives deep into the minds of today's great thinkers. In this episode, Adam sits down with Knox Kronenberg to explore the world of fine art photography, its significance, and the creative processes behind Knox's captivating images.Episode Highlights:- Inspiring Passion: Knox aims to ignite passion in others through his thought-provoking photography.- Creating Moments: Instead of simply capturing moments, Knox invests heavily in creating scenes that tell a story.- Self-Improvement: Knox emphasizes the importance of studying the past, being authentic, and collaborating with others to become the best version of oneself.Knox Kronenberg is a fine art photographer known for his large-scale, limited-edition black-and-white photographs. Based in Austin, Texas, his work often juxtaposes historical themes with modern settings, such as cowboys on horseback against race cars at Circuit of the Americas or a cowboy on a bucking bronco in front of the Dallas skyline. Knox's journey began with a deep love for the outdoors, leading him from being a pro fly fisherman and wilderness guide to a renowned photographer.

Nasce in dialetto, cresce in italiano, studia in inglese. All'università approfondisce la letteratura americana.

In this episode, Kellen speaks with Dr. Mitchell Kronenberg. Mitch is the chief scientific officer of the La Jolla Institute for Immunology, an adjunct professor at UC San Diego, and the co-director of a collaborative effort between the La Jolla Institute and UC San Diego called the Program in Immunology. Mitch and Kellen talk about unconventional T cells, autoimmunity, barrier immunity, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells, and the future of immunology. They also discuss Mitch's philosophies related to science, mentorship, and life. “What can we do to at least be part of a solution and not be getting stuck into the problem?” asks Paul Kronenberg. Paul is the co-founder and director of Braille Without Borders and Kanthari, an immersive training program that equips participants with everything they need to know to start and run effective, relevant social projects in their own communities. The Western World's typical solution is to go into these other communities and try to change things with no real understanding or appreciation for the traditions and culture of the native people. Paul's dream is to create a more ethical tomorrow by catalyzing others and giving them the tools they need to create sustainable, eco-friendly solutions to issues in their respective homelands. When Western leaders go to other countries to make changes, they often just create more problems. This is because they are outsiders. They aren't typically thinking about the needs, wants, or traditions of the native people when they propose their so-called ‘solutions.' Instead, the solutions for any community should come from within its own members. They have more hands-on knowledge of local issues, in addition to having respect for and a full understanding of local traditions. By choosing to be part of the solution, we can enact sustainable global and local change. Tune into today's episode of Humanitarian Entrepreneur Podcast for a talk with special guest Paul Kronenberg to learn more about how Kanthari is putting the power for catalyzing change back into the hands of local community leaders. Quotes “What can we do to at least be part of a solution and not be getting stuck into the problem?” (13:46-13:52 | Paul) “Basically from day one, once their organization is registered, they could get going and create the impact that they actually want to see.” (14:47-14:52 | Paul) “Ethics and morals is a big difference. And I think that what is missing in the current educational systems around the world, I would say, is that ethics is not to be seen, not to be found. We get a lot of rules and regulations, and they're all top down. Somebody decides on a rule, regulation that everybody has to obey, but why is the rule a good rule? And what is right and what's wrong?” (15:15-15:40 | Paul) “The only reason why we're in India is that it's central in the world where people can come. They collect all the skills and tools and the methodologies, and then they go back and they start their own programs in their own native places.” (17:25-17:38 | Paul) “We're learning with and from each other. We don't have teachers and students, we have participants and catalysts.” (19:21-19:25 | Paul) Connect with Paul Kronenberg: Website: https://www.kanthari.org/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/paul-kronenberg/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/kanthari/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kantharis Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kantharis/ Documentary: https://www.kanthari.org/documentary/ Admissions: https://www.kanthari.org/admissions/ To connect with Tiffany to solve problems or affect the kind of change you want: https://calendly.com/humanitarianentrepreneur/discovery-call Website: https://humanitarian-entrepreneur.com Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm
In this episode, we sit down with marketing expert Charlotte Høgh Damgaard from the Carlsberg Group and take a deep dive into the complicated world of marketing alcoholic beverages. Charlotte is the Head of Marketing at Carlsberg's Alcohol-Free Beer, Cider & Cocktails Department in Denmark. She is a marketing specialist with over 8 years of experience working with the Carlsberg Group. Her contributions to the company include communication material and strategy for brands like Guinness, Grinbergen, and Kronenberg. Here's what you'll learn: How does an alcohol brand balance selling to bars, restaurants and events and selling to the consumer? How does a large beverage brand use Data to do better marketing? When too much data can become a problem What are the challenges with social media and regulations? How the growing non-alcohol segment is growing and the marketing challenges of it? How to get the right channel mix? Carlsberg is the world's largest brewing company, with a presence in over 150 markets worldwide, and over 50% market share in Denmark. A beverage company at this scale has its own unique challenges, including country-specific regulations and limited access to certain media channels. Carlsberg's core values demand that promoting alcohol has to come with the caveat of responsible consumption. The company sells to retailers but markets to end consumers, which puts them in a difficult spot when it comes to communication strategies. Their selection of products includes soft drinks, ciders, cocktails, and most importantly: beers.

He continued to co-edit and co-author A Political Practice of Occupational Therapy in 2008 and later the Occupational Therapies without Borders - Volume 2: Towards an Ecology of Occupation-Based Practices in 2011. He is formally affiliated with the Zuyd University in the Netherlands, University of Cape Town, California State University Dominguez Hills & Touro University (United States); Schule für Ergotherapie Eckardtsheim (Germany). Frank conducted doctoral research in occupational therapy at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. His phronetic case study with embedded narrative inquiry focused on everyday enactments of humanity affirmations in post-1994 apartheid South Africa, advancing a radical understanding of being human as occupation and health. Before coming to South Africa in 2006, Frank traveled extensively and worked in projects and programs that aimed to advance the plight of children and adults living with disabilities and youth-at-risk in the United States, Nepal, Pakistan, India, Mexico, and Guatemala.

Greetings friends! I had a great conversation with graphic design artist Michael Kronenberg on the various ways that Batman has been portrayed over the years. It's really interesting to track Batman's evolution, particularly in light of how his persona evolved not only in comic books, but also in movies and other media throughout the years. This is a classic "I feel like I've only skimmed the surface" episode, but we had fun talking and I'm grateful that Michael spent some time with me. Michael Kronenberg is the right guy to talk to. He co-authored and designed The Batcave Companion (co-authored with Michael Eury), is a seminal collection of essays on the Caped Crusader. He is an award winning artist/graphic designer for the Film Noir Foundation and TwoMorrows Publishing, and he is the creator/designer of the boxing magazine RINGSIDE SEAT. Michael has designed magazines, books, and DVD/Blu-Ray movie releases for publishers worldwide. Just as an additional note, I interviewed Michael for my blog many years ago on the art of film noir. Check out the link - we had a terrific time chatting! Thanks to all, and hope you enjoy the episode. See you soon!

It all started with Sabriye Tenberken, who is blind, embarking on horseback ride through Tibet as an extension of her studies of Tibetology and Central Asian Sciences. There she met eventual co-founder Paul Kronenberg and together they started the first school the the blind in Tibet's capital city of Lhasa. This school formed the foundation of Braille Without Borders, an organization that empowers blind people to take their lives in their own hands.Kanthari Website KanthariTV (YouTube)

Irene Kronenberg and Alon Baranowitz of the award-winning interior design studio in Tel Aviv, Baranowitz + Kronenberg, talk about their passion for disruption and change. They believe now is the time for hospitality to move beyond its typical boundaries, to cater for the changing nature of our cities and working cultures. To become agents for change. But change, they argue, cannot come from within. Hotels should on-board industry outsiders—whether from theatre, cinema, music, events. People who bring bold ideas and a different mindset. With more innovative collaboration, hotels can move beyond their current status as white elephants in the city to become active community members.
