It's the tale of a chemist (played by Lou Merrill, a regular on the series) whose attempt to grow giant roses goes horribly wrong, resulting in monstrously large worms. The version you'll hear comes from Oboler's later revival series The Devil and Mr. O, where he reused some of his best Lights Out scripts. Tonight's guest, Karl Sieling, had his Bigfoot sighting in 1976 while he was walking down a set of railroad tracks, in a heavily forested area, near Newtown, Connecticut. When his sighting happened, he was on the way to his buddy's house. Sometimes, he would walk or bike about a mile and a half to his buddy's house, using roads in the area. This day, he decided to walk on a set of train tracks that ran right past his house, through a forest and then right past his buddy's house. If he walked the tracks, instead of taking roads in the area, he'd save himself about a half mile on the trip. He had walked those tracks, to his buddy's house, numerous times before without any incident. "Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story" is the second season of the American biographical crime drama anthology television series Monster, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan for Netflix. The season centers on the 1989 parricides of José (Javier Bardem) and Kitty Menendez (Chloë Sevigny), who were killed by their sons, Lyle (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Erik (Cooper Koch). It uses the Rashomon effect as a narrative device by presenting key events through multiple perspectives and unreliable narrators, leaving the "truth" open to interpretation.  The season achieved global commercial success, debuting as the number-one series on Netflix worldwide, the most-viewed streaming content on the Nielsen Streaming Chart, and the third most-watched Netflix series in the second half of 2024. At the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, it earned 11 nominations, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Koch and Sevigny, respectively. Tonight's guest, Chris Blaylock, is a Sasquatch investigator who is working on a doctorate's degree in hominology and a bachelor's degree in animal biology due to her interest in Sasquatch. That interest in them began at a young age too. You see, when Chris was a little girl, her grandmother used to tell her and her brother not to go out at night, never to whistle in the woods, and to be leery of the Wooley Boogers. Never, in her wildest dreams, did she ever think she'd actually go on to see one. That's exactly what happened, though. Her sighting happened in Jefferson Memorial Forest, just outside of Louisville, Kentucky, in early September of 1982. Her brother was with her and saw it too.
