The Boston Celtics' first quarter against the Knicks offered a glimpse of a smooth performance, as the team jumped out to a 30-22 lead with great ball movement and pace. However, the game spiraled into an absolute nightmare in the second quarter. The Knicks dominated with a brutal 42-14 run, fueled by an 11-0 and a 17-0 burst. Boston struggled with turnovers and could not stop the Knicks from scoring 16 fast break points and grabbing 12 offensive rebounds in the first half. This collapse led to a massive 64-44 halftime deficit. Though the Celtics were unable to mount a full comeback, they showed flashes of resilience in the second half, spurred on by picking up the full-court defense in the fourth quarter. Individually, there were highlights, including big three-pointers from Pritchard that helped stop a Knicks run and another that began to close the gap in the final period. Jaylen Brown hit some tough shots, including an early third-quarter three and a pull-up three late in the fourth. Additionally, Hugo provided a boost with excellent defense and his first NBA bucket. Ultimately, the deficit was too large to overcome, and the Knicks secured the 105-95 victoryThis podcast is brought to you by me, Guy DePlacido. Mackenzie Rivers and Dan Rivera talk all things NFL Survivor contest. Mackenzie Rivers and Dan Rivera – NFL Week 8 Survivor Talk Mackenzie and Dan survived Week 7 with the Chiefs and eye Week 8's board. The Colts, now 14.5-point favorites over the Titans, are their top Survivor pick. Titans fired their coach, briefly rallied, but collapsed; Colts keep rolling with an elite offense. Mackenzie urges optimism with caution—weak early schedule, shaky secondary. Dan agrees: they've beaten bad teams, but execution and coaching have turned Daniel Jones into a top-12 QB caliber player. True tests come soon vs. Jags, Texans, Chiefs, Seattle, and San Francisco. Still, Indy looks like the AFC's second-best team behind Kansas City. Mackenzie cites non-turnover EPA metrics: Colts' offense ranks No. 1, defense 21st; Chiefs No. 4 offense, No. 9 defense; Cowboys surprisingly No. 2 offense despite awful defense. Chiefs remain favorites by pedigree more than dominance. Dak Prescott (20-1) could sneak into MVP talks if Dallas stays hot. Balanced teams like Rams (1st defense, 7th offense), Seahawks, and Lions round out the top 10. Mackenzie says the Colts' scoring power makes them legit contenders if they sustain efficiency. On Chiefs-Commanders, Dan warns: don't burn Kansas City now—you'll need them for Thanksgiving week. Mariota can replicate 85-90% of Daniels's offense; Chiefs should win, but beware overconfidence. Mackenzie calls it a one-score game—Mariota's capable, market overreacted to QB switch. Next tier: Falcons (-7.5) vs. Dolphins—Dan expects Bijan and London to thrive; Dolphins fading fast. Mackenzie agrees: Atlanta safe for parlays, but Colts remain primary. Eagles-Giants? Dan's cautious; health and effort issues make Philly unpredictable. Bills-Panthers? Both advise a pass—Buffalo's defense thin, Allen regressing. Patriots-Browns? Another pass; New England solid but inconsistent. Their Survivor track record: Steelers, Ravens, Bills, Texans, Lions, Packers, Chiefs—strong slate, no major regrets. They plan to ride Colts this week, holding Patriots, Niners, Broncos, Eagles, Bucs, Seahawks, and Rams for later. Bengals-Jets earns debate: Dan sees Cincy improving, Jets lifeless without stars; Mackenzie warns both are bad—avoid betting terrible teams. Final thoughts: under on combined wins for Raiders, Titans, Jets—about 4.5 total. Mackenzie closes: Colts are the official Survivor pick; strong offense, manageable risk. Promo code SAC20 for $20 off at Pregame.com—better value than sweating the Jets. Week 8 verdict: Colts to survive and advance. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Munaf Manji, Mackenzie Rivers and Dave Essler discuss NFL Week 8 contest selections. Munaf Manji hosts the NFL Week 8 Contest Podcast on RJ Bell's Dream Preview with Mackenzie Rivers and Dave Essler, discussing ATS and Survivor contest picks. Munaf opens by reviewing Week 7 results: 204 Circus Survivor entries were eliminated, leaving 4,214 alive, and the top-five Circa Millions picks went 4-1. Mackenzie opens with his ATS pick, taking the Commanders +12.5 versus the Chiefs, citing overreaction to quarterback changes and favorable historical data for double-digit underdogs after losing as road favorites. Munaf agrees, saying Mariota can manage the game if turnovers are limited, while Dave supports them, noting key receivers' returns and the Chiefs' tough schedule ahead. Dave's pick is the Patriots -7 versus the Browns, backing New England's home advantage and Drake Maye's strong play since Week 1; he cites Cleveland's poor road record and rookie QB Dylan Gabriel's first hostile start. Munaf expands that the Browns are 1-11 straight up and 2-10 ATS on the road, losing by double digits frequently, while Mackenzie notes past “home-after-road-trip” data is now neutral. Munaf's pick is the 49ers +1.5 at Houston, calling it a “wrong team favored” game, criticizing the Texans' O-line, injury issues (notably Nico Collins), and inconsistency. Mackenzie admits concern about San Francisco's defense post-Bosa but likes their matchup versus Houston's weak front, and Dave agrees, joining the 49ers side. They promote Pregame.com contests, including Beat Dave Esler NBA and discounts using codes “touchdown20” for football access and “NBA75” for Mackenzie's NBA package. Transitioning to Survivor strategy, Munaf reviews Week 8's large favorites: Patriots, Bills, Eagles, Bengals, Falcons, Ravens, Colts (-14), and Chiefs (-12.5). Dave recommends Dallas as a gutsy Survivor pick, citing Denver's vulnerable defense and Dallas's offensive weapons, while acknowledging risks. Munaf supports that approach, also suggesting the 49ers and Falcons as alternate Survivor plays, emphasizing the need for strategic diversification instead of burning elite teams early. Mackenzie jokes that he never picks underdogs in Survivor but recalls Fezzik's accidental underdog win that clinched a contest. He mentions saving the Colts for Week 8, the largest favorite, while Dave argues underdogs can be valuable if used selectively. Munaf concludes that multiple entries allow experimentation with smaller favorites and strategic conservation of power teams for later weeks, reinforcing the depth of Survivor planning discussed in Mack and Dan's dedicated Survivor Pod. The episode ends with camaraderie among the hosts—Mackenzie, Dave, and Munaf—signing off with humor about dinner and their usual “good luck with your bets” closing. Learn more about your ad choices. On this episode of the JT Sports Podcast, JT dives into all the chaos and toxic drama shaking up the NFL. He starts with the Russell Wilson vs. Sean Payton feud that's spilling out in public — breaking down how Payton's slick comments about Jaxson Dart were really shots at Russ, and why Wilson clapping back shows how far his stock has fallen. Then JT goes in on Jets owner Woody Johnson for embarrassing Justin Fields with classless comments that exposed the dysfunction running the franchise. He tears into Brian Daboll for the Giants' late-game collapse, calls out John Harbaugh for wasting Lamar Jackson's prime, and says the Raiders might've made things worse with Pete Carroll running the show. JT also shows love to Mike Macdonald for building a juggernaut in Seattle and crowns Drake Maye as the surprise MVP front-runner who's carrying New England on his back.
WE ARE BACK!!! AFTER A YEAR LONG HIATUS, BOSTON CELTICS GAME DAY RECAP IS BACK AND SO ARE THE CELTICS!The Celtics dropped their season opener 117-116 to the 76ers in a heartbreaking fashion. After building a 13 pt lead, Philly led by Tyrese Maxey and Rookie Sensation VJ Edgecombe, went on a tear and pulled off a gritty win in Boston. Losing to Philly always hurts but it hurts a bit more when Embiid is a shell of himself. He was truly horrible tonight but Maxey and Edgecombe combined for 74 points!!There were a lot of positives to take from today as well as some negatives. From a positive standpoint, this team is going to be fun to watch. They pushed the pace, got out in transition, rebounded significantly better than I was expecting because of a gang rebounding mentality where they all crash and they still have a good offensive punch. From a negative standpoint, losing an All NBA Defender like Jrue Holiday is going to be a problem against guard heavy lineups like this 76ers team. Their transition defense, although it improved the second half, was horrible in this game leading to 21 pts. Overall, it was a fun game to watch but there is still a lot to learn about this team! This podcast is brought to you by me, Guy DePlacido. Since the release of their debut full length in 2015, ACTOR OBSERVER from Boston, MA have become a well-respected musical force throughout New England. Their dynamic sound and electric live performance are charged with a visceral sincerity and vulnerability that audience members find refreshing in the current age of post-hardcore. On 2022's ‘Songs For The Newly Reclusive' the quintet explored a broad range of emotional and musical depth, confronting topics of gentrification, toxic masculinity, generational trauma, and isolation amidst a clamoring world in distress. The resulting sound was their most focused and impactful album yet, garnering them a spot on the 2023 Boston Calling Music Festival (alongside legacy acts such as Foo Fighters, Paramore and Queens of the Stone Age) and a tour with metalcore heavyweights He Is Legend. After kicking off 2025 opening for The Used at House of Blues in Boston, AO signed with Dynamic Talent International for booking. In this special Halloween edition of movie night, Jake and Travis discuss the 1960 British “B-movie” The City of the Dead. The film, the directorial debut of John Llewellyn Moxey and released under the title Horror Hotel in the United States, tells the story of a coven of witches in New England who lure women for a diabolical yearly sacrifice to Lucifer. Mackenzie Rivers and Dan Rivera talk NFL Survivor entries for week 7. Mackenzie Rivers and Dan Rivera survived NFL Week 6 and move on to Week 7, glad they used the Steelers in Week 1. Dan explains 9% of the pool took the Steelers and are out, giving them equity, and he's eyeing the Bengals led by Joe Flacco. Mackenzie jokes about the Steelers' mediocrity and pivots to Shohei Ohtani's brilliance before discussing Survivor strategy: saving the Chiefs for Thanksgiving but noting the huge gap between them as 12-point favorites and other teams at seven. He leans Chiefs, disliking the Patriots' third road game, the Broncos' London return, and the Packers' inconsistency. Dan warns Circa players to save the Chiefs for holiday games but agrees Kansas City likely wins unless disaster strikes. Mackenzie cites EPA metrics showing the Raiders' offense near the bottom and backs Kansas City as the safe Survivor pick. They debate alternatives: Broncos-Giants (high variance, avoid Denver), Patriots-Titans (dead-cat bounce risk), and Packers-Cardinals (Kyler Murray uncertainty, Jordan Love's flaws). Mackenzie thinks the Chiefs are best; Dan agrees but cautions they'll be locked into the Eagles later. They briefly consider sharp alternatives like Seattle over Chicago, preferring Seattle's defense. Mackenzie notes Mike McDonald's strong road record but says New England's reliability makes them worth saving. Both settle on the Chiefs for Week 7. Dan adds that if forced among Panthers-Jets and Dolphins-Browns, he'd lean Carolina despite low confidence. Mackenzie surprisingly picks the Dolphins, citing Cleveland's weak offense, Joe Flacco's departure, and Miami's lingering effort. Both mock the Jets' offensive line after nine sacks and joke about Madden-like stats. They close agreeing the Chiefs are the play and preview Week 8, where Dan expects to favor the Colts versus the Texans. Mackenzie notes future uncertainty with the Eagles on Thanksgiving and hopes for better Survivor paths ahead. The show ends with plugs for @DanRivera228 and @MacenRivers, promising to keep surviving through Week 7. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The community was stunned: who could do this, and why?For three decades, Deanna's friends and family have waited for answers, holding onto hope as forensic science evolves. DNA and forensic genetic genealogy is now at the center of the conversation. Could the key to solving this case be hidden in a decades-old sample, waiting for the right technology or the right name to match?Anyone with information about Deanna Cremin's murder is asked to call the confidential tip line at (617) 544-7167. A few of the best clips making the rounds from the sports world this morning, including Odell Beckham Jr. with some insight on why he wasn't traded to the Patriots.
In a rare political segment, the New England Nightly News features the President of the United States making a threat to move next year's World Cup out of Boston (even though Gillette Stadium is in Foxborough).
Ghislaine Maxwell's relationship with Scott Borgerson, a wealthy tech entrepreneur and former CEO of the maritime analytics firm CargoMetrics, began around 2013 and quickly evolved into a secretive, high-profile partnership. Reports indicate that the two were romantically involved and may have quietly married in 2016, a claim supported by Maxwell's legal filings referencing a “spouse” who offered financial backing for her bail. Borgerson, who had previously presented himself as a clean-cut environmentalist and business leader, was said to have been deeply enamored with Maxwell, even allowing her to live in his New England mansion after she withdrew from public life following Jeffrey Epstein's arrest. During her pretrial detention, prosecutors identified Borgerson as her partner and alleged that he helped manage some of her finances through trusts and property transfers—moves they argued were meant to obscure her wealth.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Most people think real estate means fixing toilets, chasing tenants, or giving up your weekends. But what if you could earn cash flow, appreciation, and tax benefits… without ever becoming a landlord? In this episode, we sit down with Shawn Winslow of Greenbriar Capital to break down how busy professionals and high earners can build wealth passively by investing in large multifamily deals as Limited Partners. Shawn manages tens of millions in assets and shares how syndications work, why he targets high-demand markets in New England, and how he helps everyday investors earn 18–20% IRRs without doing any of the dirty work. Together we walk through two deals that we recently executed as a team detailing how we boosted rents using Section 8 in New Hampshire and how we're attracting high-paying travel nurses in Vermont. You'll hear our exact strategy behind forcing appreciation and protecting investor capital. If you have capital but no time, this is the blueprint. No tenants. No headaches. Just passive income and equity upside. Additionally, if you'd like to join our investor list to stay up to date on upcoming projects, please fill out the form below. https://api.leadconnectorhq.com/widget/form/9uNTUCcH8zv1IZRZN9UI RESOURCES
1. The Wild Turkey and the Bald Eagle: Symbolism and History AUTHOR: Stephen Moss BOOK TITLE: 10 Birds That Changed the World This excerpt introduces the book and discusses the Wild Turkey, noting its reestablishment in New England and its domestication in prehistory, originating from southern Mexico. It explores the non-logical naming of the turkey, likely confused with exotic trade items like the guinea fowl. The conversation shifts to the Bald Eagle, discussing its scavenging habits, Benjamin Franklin's potential joking preference for the turkey as the national bird, and the eagle's historical representation of power and sinister forces. 1949
Steven Robinson, Editor-in-Chief of the Maine Wire, leads New England's fastest-growing digital media outlet focused on exposing political corruption and organized crime across local, state, and regional levels. A native of Dexter, Maine, and Bowdoin College graduate in political philosophy, he previously worked at Regnery Publishing, produced the Howie Carr Show, and handled Barstool Sports' Kirk Minihane Show and true-crime podcast The Case, which spurred murder charges per season. During COVID-19, he quit his job to travel 35,000 miles across North America in a camper van before returning to Maine in November 2022 to revitalize the Maine Wire as an aggressive, independent platform for underreported stories, bold investigations, and commentary. Robinson's groundbreaking "Triad Weed" series, launched in August 2023 after a leaked DHS memo revealed over 270 illicit cannabis operations by Asian Transnational Criminal Organizations in Maine, uncovered a vast Chinese mafia network spanning Maine to southeast China. His reporting exposed racketeering involving black-market cannabis, human and sex trafficking, money laundering, bank fraud, illegal border crossings, neurotoxins poisoning homes, murder, and national security threats—including CCP-linked properties near U.S. Army facilities. He provided exclusive details on the exploitation of U.S. Treasury–subsidized loans that allowed foreign nationals to purchase over 70 properties.. Cited in Congressional reports and featured on CBS, Fox News, the Daily Mail, OANN, and more, Robinson's work has led to over 60 articles, property raids, arrests, Sen. Susan Collins' interrogations of intel agencies, and the documentary Triad Weed: How Chinese Mafia Infiltrated Maine. Local police praise it as a field manual, though Maine media avoids the story.
