'Deadpool Killer' Wade Wilson Sentenced to Death for Heinous 2019 Murders of Two Florida Women

Wade Wilson, infamously dubbed the "Deadpool Killer," was sentenced to death on Tuesday for the gruesome 2019 murders of two Florida women, crimes the prosecution described as "killing for the sake of killing." Wilson, 30, remained emotionless as Circuit Judge Nicholas Thompson delivered the capital sentence, highlighting the particularly heinous nature of the crimes. “The evidence shows the murders were heinous, atrocious, and cruel, and that the second murder was cold, calculated, and premeditated,” Judge Thompson stated. Wilson was found guilty in June for the October 2019 murders of Kristine Melton, 35, and Diane Ruiz, 43. The jury unanimously recommended the death penalty, a decision the judge upheld without hesitation, noting there was “no basis” to overrule it. Prosecutors revealed that Wilson strangled Melton in her home after a drug-fueled sexual encounter. He then stole her car and, in a chilling sequence of events, used her phone to call his girlfriend, whom he assaulted. Rebuffed by her refusal to join him, Wilson then encountered Ruiz, luring her into the car under the guise of helping her. He later admitted to strangling her before running her over multiple times, leaving her body unrecognizable. “This case was about killing for the sake of the killing,” Assistant State Attorney Andreas Gardiner emphasized during the trial. “Strangulation is the epitome of life slipping through someone's hands.” Despite the horror of his crimes, Wilson became a macabre figure of fascination, receiving thousands of letters, including explicit photos, from admirers during his five years in prison. Many supporters, including misguided women, wrote to Judge Thompson, imploring him to spare Wilson's life, citing his troubled past and mental health struggles. Wilson's defense argued that he suffered from brain damage due to drug addiction and abandonment issues, having been given up for adoption by his biological parents. His adoptive parents also pleaded with the court to spare his life, asserting that “the human is still in there.” In addition to the murder charges, Wilson was also convicted of grand theft, burglary, battery, and petit theft. During Tuesday's sentencing, Circuit Judge Thompson inquired if there were any additional matters to address before concluding the case. Wilson's defense team then rose to make a final request. His attorney stated, “I recognize that Mr. Wilson has pending cases both here and elsewhere, but he has asked me to request that the court expedite his transfer to death row within your available authority.” In response to the request, Circuit Judge Thompson noted that Wilson's other cases would not be addressed until at least September 16. Consequently, a date for his execution remains undetermined due to these unresolved charges. State Attorney Amira Fox, who has been in the legal field for 34 years, described Wilson as "the most evil" person she had ever encountered. The public greeted the sentence with applause, and Kristine's cousin Samantha pledged to witness Wilson's execution. "This will not be the last time Wade Wilson sees us in a courtroom," she declared at a press conference. Diane Ruiz's father also expressed his intention to attend the execution, lamenting, "I didn't get to tell her I love her before she was taken from us so cruelly." Today opens with a recap of the Merrick Garland testimony, where he played the role of being totally oblivious to the chaos and weaponization of the DOJ happening on his watch. We also hear from Miranda Devine of the NY Post and her thoughts align pretty much with mine and what I brought on yesterday's show. The House seems to have had enough of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. They vote to NOT invite him to address the Congress like he did last year. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) also made a speech saying he would not vote for and would block any attempt to give more money to Ukraine. Remember I said the Disinformation Governance Board wasn't going away? DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced the formation of the Homeland Intelligence Experts Group. Three names stand out on that board – John Brennan, James Clapper and Paul Kolbe. All three of them were part of the 51 intelligence experts who signed off on the letter saying the Hunter Biden laptop plant was Russian disinformation. Thankfully, three representatives from the House have already submitted a Bill to make funding censorship boards illegal. I told you once before the purpose behind the open borders policy is to flood the country with a new Democrat underclass. I said once in, they would find ways to let them vote in presidential elections. Cue Governor Shapiro (D-PA) and his latest illegal move to implement automatic voter registration. This story butts up against a leaked story from the Biden regime where they are already working on providing a government ID card to illegals crossing our border. Lara Logan reminds us this is how they will continue to steal elections if we allow it to happen. Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) says they cannot take any more illegals in NYC. She loves them in our country, but they cannot come to NY City any longer. That's a Sanctuary City, folks! I say we flood every blue state with every illegal who crosses our border. They wanted this, they can have it. Also from the DHS, they are refusing to release any data related to captured illegals who might have ties to terrorism, cartels, or gangs. You can't make this up. DHS says they don't want to infringe on the privacy rights of people who are not even US Citizens and may have ties to terror, cartels or gangs! Tulsi Gabbard recently provided a list of Joe Biden's accomplishments. If they goal is to dismantle our nation, divide it and subjugate the people, then he is doing a phenomenal job. Now let's talk Covid-19 for a moment. Doctors are now struggling to differentiate between Covid, allergies and the common cold. They only way the can tell, now, is to test for it! Yet, the CDC still wants you to get a shot. And that's where we turn to Dr. Harvey Risch, professor emeritus of epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health. He is seeing a rise in cancers occurring in younger and younger people and at accelerated rates. He says there is evidence of this after people receive the Covid-19 vaccine. Onto some positive or humorous items. Rep. John Fetterman (D-PA) commented on the UAW strike. It's going to take someone more educated than me to break that one down. Rumble was asked by a UK Member of Parliament to cancel Russell Brand on their platform. Rumble to them to pound sand. An Amarillo, TX Democrat constable just announced she's leaving the party and will run in 2024 as a Republican. Biden's team is in a panic over Donald Trump's move to ditch the 2nd GOP debate and instead meet with members of the UAW. And, in a bit of hilarious propaganda, Ukrainian media edited the speech Zelenskyy gave at the UN to make it look like he was addressing a packed house. However, they accidentally left in a shot where Zelenskyy himself was sitting in the audience! Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. The Inspiration: Steve Smith

A civic crisis rooted in racial inequity. A chance visit to an Atlanta retail attraction. A commercial developer persuaded to step outside his own comfort zone. Three events converged in 2015 that put in motion a $230 million redevelopment in St. Louis's urban core—an effort that launched like a cannonball from Steve Smith's imagination but came within a hair's breadth of dying. In this episode of On Principle, we look at the moment when inspiration launches a transformative project. What prompted the inspiration? What were the considerations? In what ways did reality temper the inspiration? How far did the reality stray from the inspiration itself? And what are the takeaways for listeners? The story of how The City Foundry in St. Louis came to be includes a wake-up call to developers, several strokes of spectacularly timed luck and a clandestine, cellphone-lit tour of an abandoned factory. The 15-acre retail, residential and dining project—built in and around a transformed automotive brake-parts factory—began when Smith visited a similar venue in Atlanta as his son graduated from Georgia Tech in May 2015.“My son took us to a foundry there, a food hall,” said Smith, CEO of real estate development firm the Lawrence Group. “It was exuding energy. Dynamism. I'm sitting there thinking, ‘This is what St. Louis needs.' I can tell you exactly what I was thinking and where I was sitting at the time.”And that was the pivotal moment.Seven days after graduation, Smith and his son visited an abandoned industrial site they knew was for sale in St. Louis' midtown. Rebuffed by a guard when they asked to take a look, the pair snuck around the back of the building, jumped a fence and toured the site by the light of their cellphone flashlights. Within a few months, the project had its first seed funding and Smith was on his way to buying the property. The $6.4 million purchase closed in December 2015.Along the way, Smith contended with:Internal company debates over assuming the environmental liability for a brownfield factory that had been idle since 2007.Civic debates over applications for tax incentives to redevelop the property.A high burn rate on capital and slow-to-close leasing commitments threatened to scuttle the entire project. This was so serious in February 2019 that Smith and his firm were seriously looking at the cost of closing down the project. Then luck kicked in.First, the federal Investing in Opportunity Act had passed in December 2017, creating a new tax incentive mechanism to pump development dollars into underserved and impoverished communities. That helped Smith raise $50 million in June 2019, later prompting Forbes to name his project among the nation's top 20 most transformative Opportunity Zone projects. Then, an angel investor facilitated a $15 million “patient capital investment”—a “gift from heaven,” Smith said—that allowed project construction to commence. “It was a civic leader stepping up to do something very nontraditional, who made a lot of other civic leaders feel this was an important project to make happen,” he said.Related LinksThe Foundry's back story as told by the Lawrence GroupThe Lawrence Group websiteNews about the opportunity zone funding Steve Smith secured for the projectKrog Street Market in AtlantaThe City Foundry in St. LouisFrom the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: “Midtown project to redevelop Federal-Mogul site should get city help, but how much remains the question”CreditsThis podcast is a production of Washington University in St. Louis's Olin Business School. Matthew 21:33-46Sermon: "Christianity is for Losers”Preacher: Rev. Ryan Slifka Well… here's a Bible passage that probably won't make it's way into children's Bibles. A landowner, Jesus says. A landowner, plants a vineyard, complete with winepress. Everything you'd ever need to craft a quality bottle of wine. This rich sommelier then invites some tenants to take it over for a while because he's going overseas. And while he's out of town, he sends some of business reps to collect on his world renowned, growing vintage the harvest. The tenants, however, don't receive the owner's servants well. They stone and beat and kill them. But the owner's insistent on getting a return on his investment. So the owner sends even more business reps to collect. But same thing. They're beaten, stoned, and killed.Eventually the owner then sends his own SON to collect. He assumes they'll have to respect his own flesh and blood. But instead they mutiny, the try to take over the business for themselves. They kill the Son, too. It's an interesting parable, a rather violent story. But it's also more than a story. Because it's a parable, one of Jesus' short stories. Sometimes the meaning of the parables is a little obscure, a little mysterious. But this parable is an allegory. Which means that the meaning is thinly veiled. Not much room for interpretation. Here Jesus is addressing the Pharisees and Scribes, the religious leaders of his people, of his time. The parable's all about them.God's the landowner in this case. Israel, God's people is the vineyard, where God has invested time, energy, love. The tenants are Israel's leaders, the Pharisees and Scribes. Israel's leaders, like the tenants in the parable, have harvested God's people for their own purposes rather than producing good fruit, producing righteousness. They've stocked up on self-interest rather than gathering God's will.God, being God, has been like the landlord, very patient. He's sent his servants to the tenants, God has sent his own servants in the form of prophets to change their minds. And each time, the leaders have beaten, stoned, and killed them.By this point, you can probably guess who the Son is supposed to be. The Son of course, is Jesus—the Son of God—who like the Son of the vineyard owner is sent face-to-face to turn the people around. At this point, Jesus is set on a direct course to end up dead, just like the son in the parable. In this parable, Jesus is prophetically speaking of his own forthcoming death. He'll be rejected by the Pharisees and Scribes. Rejected in the same way countless others have been by Israel's leaders before him. And, if you read ahead, you'll see he was right. Jesus was rejected. Just as he said. Here we have in this passage one of the unique and odd things about Christianity. Jesus, the founder of the movement, was rejected. Rebuffed. Denied. Murdered. We rarely consider just how weird this actually is. I remember in University having a conversation with a friend of mine from Yemen. A friend who was a practicing Muslim. One day we got on the topic of the crucifixion of Jesus. At the time I wasn't aware that Muslim's believe Jesus to be a prophet, a divine messenger. But they don't believe that Jesus died on the cross. They believe that he was saved from that fate and ascended to heaven. “God wouldn't do that,” said my friend. “Do what?” I asked. My friend told me that Jesus couldn't have been crucified because God wouldn't allow his prophet to undergo such shame, such humiliation. God wouldn't fail like that. It's not just Muslims, either really. We rarely consider how weird it is. For us, suffering, pain, failure, rejection… these are all things to be avoided. I mean, we spend a lot of our lives hiding from them, medicating them away. Because they hurt. They expose our weakness, sound forth our inability to all. The mere existence of our mere mortality challenges faith itself. If there is a God, that God could only be in the business of joy, success, strength, power. Not rejection, failure, pain. But this passage has it front and center. It's rejection, rejection, rejection. Jesus is part of a long line. And not only was he rejected, it wasn't just an accident of history. The weirdest thing is that it was somehow apparently all part of the divine plan.Okay. So after Jesus tells this parable, he asks the Pharisees and Scribes to finish it for him. “So,” Jesus says. “Considering the fact that the tenants have rejected the landowner's messengers again and again, killing them and even his son. What do you think the landlord's gonna when he gets back?”The Scribes and Pharisees answer like any of us would answer. VENGEANCE, of course. “Well, he's gonna crush those tenants in the winepress and put up flyers for new ones. Duh.”But Jesus says something perplexing in response. In response, he quotes the Bible. He quotes Psalm 118. Haven't you read, Jesus says, haven't you read that:“The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone? This was the Lord's doing, and it is amazing in our eyes.”“This means the whole deal's gonna be taken away from you,” he says. And it's gonna be given to someone who'll finally bear good fruit. You trip on this stone, you're gonna shatter to pieces. If it falls on you you'll be crushed.”This Psalm is a thanksgiving Psalm. Where the Psalmist thanks God for being rescued from his enemies. And it's being applied to Jesus. Jesus is the cornerstone that these guys will reject. His rejection is a failure, but not ultimately. Jesus will be rejected by the world, crucified, died, buried. This, Jesus says. This is how the owner's gonna retake his vineyard of creation from the wicked tenants, and plant a whole new crop in the parable. This is how God's gonna re-take the world from the powers of sin and death, and heal it. Not through success. Not through triumph. Not through power, nor brute strength. But rejection. Suffering. Death. This is the cornerstone, the rock that will hold against every assault, the boulder that will smash through every obstacle in its way. Even though Jesus is rejected by the world, he's not rejected by God. Even though Jesus is to be rejected by the world, God is going to use him to rebuild humanity, and the whole of creation. The cross is the place of suffering, death, pain, and rejection . On the cross, that cornerstone against which all things shattered will itself be shattered by hammers and nails. But the cross is—at the same time—the arena of resurrection. Of renewal, healing and hope. Even stronger than the forces that break open the cornerstone of the Lord is the power of resurrection which surges forth from its cracks. So what does this mean for us? Each of us have been hurt, each of us have been wounded and rejected in some way. By others, by the world. By ourselves. Face it: it some way, we've all failed. Failed at work, failed spouses, failed our children. And we've been failed by others. I've been thinking particularly this week about those of us who are indigenous. Those of us who have been made to felt lesser, or never felt like we'd ever measure up to expectations. That we can never be as good as we need to be, or complete. Many of us are living lives that haven't lived up to our deepest hopes and expectations. We aren't the people who we believe we're supposed to be. This is the truth. The soul-crushing truth. But the good news is, friends, the good news is that the good news was made for us.A few years ago the Anglican Priest and commentator Giles Fraser wrote a piece for the season of Lent. It was titled “Christianity, When Properly Understood, is a Religion of Losers.” A lot of people of the internet jumped on it while only reading the title. Some Christians were insulted—stop mocking us! And some atheists whole heartedly agreed because—after all—you'd have to be a loser to believe this stuff. But Fraser meant neither. Here's what he wrote:“The Christian story,” he says. “The Christian story, like the best sort of terrifying psychoanalysis, strips you down to nothing in order for you to face yourself anew. For it turns out that losers are not despised or rejected, not ultimately. In fact, losers can discover something about themselves that winners cannot ever appreciate – that they are loved and wanted simply because of who they are and not because of what they achieve. That despite it all, raw humanity is glorious and wonderful, entirely worthy of love. This is revealed precisely at the greatest point of dejection. The resurrection is not a conjuring trick with bones. It is a revelation that love is stronger than death, that human worth is not indexed to worldly success.”[i]Here Fraser was repeating the same sentiment of the Psalm Jesus quoted back to the Pharisees. “The stone the builders rejected has become the chief corner stone.” That though we may beare failures. Though we may beare rejected by the world. We're not rejected by God. Even when we reject God, we're not rejected by God.We reject God, but God chooses us. So, my friends, the question is, who are you? Are you the one who, like Christ, has known rejection? Is your life scarred by suffering and shame? Or are you the one who, like the wicked tenants, done the rejecting? Have you scarred others, and in the process, had the vineyard of your life taken away? I have a hunch, most if not all of us are some mixture of both. In either case… in both cases… the good news is that in Jesus we are met by a God who, like the owner in the parable, relentlessly seeks after us, over and over and over again, only to reclaim us and the world for his good purposes. In Jesus, we meet a God who knows our suffering, who knows our shame, our pain and rejection, has experienced it first hand. But doesn't write us off or shy away.Christianity is for losers, because in Jesus, we meet a God who meets our suffering, hurt, and failure head on, embracing it and us in the process. And somehow transforms it. Uses it for the good of all. Christianity's for losers. The stone the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. It's the weirdest thing about Christianity. It's the weirdest thing, but also the best thing. Because it's not only weird—it's true. AMEN.[i] Giles Fraser, “Christianity, when properly understood, is a religion of losers,” The Guardian online, April 3, 2015. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/belief/2015/apr/03/christianity-when-properly-understood-religion-losers

Chapter 9: MarginaliaOnce out the other side of the woods, brownie, sprite, and gnome walk for some time, discussing their adventure. Falling into a hole is agreed to be a low point; sleeping in the Night Tent on the winding trail was definitely the highlight. Atcher consults some notes, “We need to find the Twisting Village. It is supposed to shift and change every time you observe it. The Tree Beyond the Garden is in the woods just past their meadow. Getting through the village will be difficult, though. Any thoughts or plans? I have been caring for a Sudden Idea about maps. I want to see if it can help us traverse the shifting streets.”Prism is quick to speak up, “From what Vellum said, there is a creek that goes around and through the village; I think we can use that to bypass the challenging Village of Twist.”Tonic isn't so sure. “I think we are going to need some local knowledge. The Twisting Village is part of the Marginalia. I don't think it can easily be defeated or snuck around. But Vellum said people live there, so somebeing must be able to help guide us!” With a stormy temper, the water sprite argues, “We can't just ask. What would we tell them? If they guard the Lintel to the World's Between, they aren't just going to take us to the Tree Beyond the Garden! And remember how concerned the panel was at your Conclusion? I don't think we can just tell people that you are a Wildling. They might purposely leave us lost and trapped there!”“Those are valid concerns.” the garden gnome agrees “I think we could find a way through, though. Atcher is great at explaining things, and inspiring people to join in. I'm sure if we ask, it will work.”The disagreement grows, each friend thinking their way is the only way, and no compromise is reached. After lengthy discussion, Prism says "I'm going to try it my way and you try it yours," and storms ahead in a huff. Tonic looks at Atcher, who shrugs in agreement. It seems they have finally come to a consensus; they will each try their own way, see who gets to the Tree first, and then help the others reach it. All this discourse means the trio arrives sooner than they expect, to the labrynthine village on their map. “Oh, whoa. Here is the twisted village.” Atcher quavers, looking over the slate stones of the houses, the somber shining metals, the deep red color of the street bricks, the bright glass windows, and the heavy dark wood doors and fences. “The dark and bright patterns must reflect light so that it is hard to see where you are going; like tricks with mirrors.” Turbine huddles down in the bronze bag, and the Sudden Ideas peek out of the birchbark journal.Prism cuddles Undertow and comments “The mist here never goes away. I can tell from the way the weather moves. The mist will shift, but the air stays moist; it only turns thicker into fog, or back into wisps of mist. It must be miserable to see anything.”Tonic gulps and puts Steam back into the teapot, with the lid firmly closed. “Okay. Are we all ready to get through this Marginalia maze village?” Doubting whether they should split up, Tonic watches Prism in the creek, singing to the current, and sees Atcher eagerly follow one of the Sudden Ideas around to the far side of the Village wall. “Well,” the gnome says to a nearby rosemary bush, “We are at the Marginalia, we are so close. But we are separated. Prism trusts the water and Wind Rabbit to lead a safe water route. Atcher is inspired by a Sudden Idea. I really wish we were together.” Walking through the gates and into Twist Village, Tonic looks at the red brick lane and dark slate buildings nearby and feels lost among the shifting streets and abundant alleyways; light glints and hides, mist curling over everything. Villagers are mostly on busy errands of their own. Most aren't exactly rude, but also not very helpful when approached by a strange gnome. While standing in a park green and trying to determine which way to go, and feeling terribly turned around, Tonic spots a cheerful figure chatting with some villagers and warming a weary butterfly from a perfectly still hand. Tonic goes over to say hello and see if this villager can help navigate the way to the Tree Beyond the Garden. Offering their name as “River Brindle, of Okashi Street” the villager is tall and lithe, with large hazel eyes, beautiful wavy orange hair, and black stripes. And the wonderful thing is that although the gnome is feeling lost and nervous in the constantly-new, peek-a-boo village, there is someone offering to help. Tonic remembers dire warnings from stories and myths, and briefly fears that this new friend might not be as genuine as they seem. However, they keep to bright, populous places, and this stripey new friend is kind and considerate of all Tonic says and asks. The gnome decides to trust their gut, and takes advice from Graeme's journal, “Many stories are told as cautionary tales; they are created to try to keep us safe. But often they also make us fearful, so we forget that anyone is capable of being helpful. Talk to those you meet; most will be kind. Trust yourself when you think something is hinky.” Tonic decides to follow the stripy River, and stays alert in case anything seems wrong. As they travel, “Never a straight path in the village” River Brindle explains, they talk about life here, and life in the Teapot. The village is too far from any professors, so they don't have Craft Courses or Conclusions the way Atcher, Prism, and Tonic did. “We largely learn from apprenticeship and errors.” River Brindle gives a cheerful laugh. “The young are encouraged to try things, and get them wrong, and when we find skills we enjoy, we go apprentice with someone to improve ourselves. I myself have apprenticed at many places, and I've had a few apprentices too. Getting things wrong is how I got so many patches in my vest. I keep fixing it to remind me of all I've tried and learned.” River explains with a smile, pointing out stitches and patches in various shades on the black tweed vest. They go up streets, and down gardens, under stairs, and across bridges, sharing stories and comfortable silences all the way. In this unsettling place, Tonic is relieved to share stories of the tea garden, of blending and smashing, and of hopes and hurdles for the future. The gnome feels good talking about things with confidence, in this place of shifting certainty. River Brindle is delighted to let the enthusiastic gnome talk and explain the intricacies of a passion for tea, and life back at the teapot. The journey through the Village of Twist is long and arduous, and River Brindle has them take several breaks. Tonic feels comfortable with River Brindle, but has a difficult time dealing with the ever-changing streets and buildings. The gnome fidgets abundantly, dealing with the discomfort of the unusual place by letting out the unsettled feelings in physical jitters, taps, and cloth twists. Once, when feeling anxious, Tonic unconsciously pets River Brindle's tail as they sit eating lunch at the Temper and Scale pub. After a while, the gnome realizes the faux pas, and looks at River Brindle in embarrassment. “Oh no! I didn't realize I was holding your tail...I'm so sorry! I've been terribly worried, and didn't even ask…”River Brindle cuts in saying “It's okay. It's not a bother. If it helps you feel better, then please continue. Sometimes you need to hold a friend's hand, or tail, when you are scared.” Smiling, River Brindle keeps talking until Tonic is ready to continue traveling. They start walking with Tonic still holding onto River Brindle's tail like a security blanket or worry stone. They continue their journey through the village, until they are stopped by a grass-tufted villager who asks River Brindle with disgust “Why would you let somebeing hold your tail?!” The two villagers seemed to know each other, as River Brindle responds with familiarity. As they talk, Tonic begins to fear being left in this unknown place, far from friends. The serene River Brindle calmly retorts “My friend needs help, and I do not mind. Have you even a tail to be held? How do you know it's terrible if you've never tried it?”Rebuffed, the villager stands wordless and grumpy. River Brindle and Tonic walk on through the maze of the Marginalia village. They travel far, and double back, and sometimes have to run to keep up with the wily, changing path. Eventually they come to the edge of town, to an open meadow. River Brindle says “Here is your destination; my journey goes elsewhere, my friend. Just look for the violet-filled hallow ground. It was once a well-traveled mound, but is now only a forgotten depression in the forest beyond the meadow.” Tonic replies “Thank you. Can I have a hug before you go?” With a fierce hug, River Brindle asks “Are you alright now? Have everything you need for your adventure?” Tonic nods doubtfully. Noting the new friend's uncertainty, River Brindle reaches into a vest pocket. Handing over a soft, toy moth the tall, striped friend adds “Here, you might need something comforting to hug on your journey, and my tail has to come with me. Travel safe my friend. Well met and meet again.”Tonic tucks the plush moth into a petal pocket, and replies “Well met and meet again!,” as the helpful new friend heads back into the village. Once River has left, the gnome looks around and suddenly realizes that the plan (reach the end of the village, then go back to find the others) was a terrible one. The gnome looks down at the Wind Rabbit sniffing the grasses and asks Steam, “How can we possibly back-track our own path to find them on theirs? Where would they even be? We chose different routes... That plan didn't make as much sense as we thought.” Tonic slumps with regret, before perking up.Inviting Steam to help, Tonic sends the Wind Rabbit off to find Undertow and Turbine. “Didn't Prism say that Wind Rabbits would help us stay in touch?” Tonic muses aloud, and fervently hoping the Wind Rabbits can find each other. Steam curls up high, like puffs from a giant kettle, floating and spiraling above the tree tops, and over the village. Then Steam whistles a song loudly to the other two Wind Rabbits, and the trio are shortly reunited! Turbine tumbles ahead of Atcher, glittering like gem dust in the air, and Undertow surges forward, leading Prism on paws splashing like flecks of seafoam.*Much later, Tonic learns that River Brindle journeyed far away, and the gnome realized they weren't likely to meet again. Tonic made a note in Graeme's journal, “Although having friends too far away to visit may be sad, it is good to have met them. Some friends are deeply important to us even when we only see them for a short time. Being far away doesn't end a friendship.” Tonic wished they had exchanged some way to send letters to each other. “A happy thing to look forward to from a friend is a much needed delight.” was also recorded in the journal by the gnome.

The saga of Sony and Naughty Dog's "Last of Us Part II" DMCA takedown and copyright claim extravaganza gets an unexpected sequel (!) as Sony turns its eye towards more DMCA "use", this time on Twitter. How does Sony's DMCA takedown approach on Twitter mirror so much of what it attempted to do on YouTube? How are Twitter's own policies helping to aid Sony in its quest? Why is Sony's approach so very dangerous to the very concept of free speech? And just why isn't anyone covering this all, anyway? We pick up where we left off...in Virtual Legality. Love triangles are dangerous, they typically end in pain … or conquest. A story spanning the year 1999 to 2000. Huckleberry 18, transgender-male, comes from a poor community in the Rust Belt. A region much maligned and challenging, and often misunderstood. Much like himself. Huckleberry pursues his unrequited love Jolene, adrift in an abusive relationship, in spite of her loathsome boyfriend, Clint. Rebuffed, Huckleberry confronts Clint once and for all, but not before unleashing hell upon him while still cloaked in the lingering shadow of his undiscovered intentions. Huckleberry's actions impact those close to him including his best friends Will and Levon. While Will is supportive at all costs of his friend, Levon is left with lingering doubts as aspects of Huckleberry's story, and the gossip of the townsfolk, don't quite add up for him. In the end Huckleberry discovers consequence follows action, and violence begets violence, as he navigates a particularly intense year, and confronts the life-changing/threatening/affirming aftermath of his decisions.

A doctor from Pensacola, Fla. answered the call for healthcare workers to sign up in other states to help with the COVID-19 crisis. The thing is, she ran into an unexpected barrier. 51%'s Bob Barrett has her story. Even before coronavirus, loneliness and social isolation affected millions of senior citizens across the U.S.. The pandemic has only exacerbated these feelings with social distancing and quarantines.
