On August 24, 2012, a Vietnam veteran who had been staying at the Lake Lanier Club Apartments off Dawsonville Highway in Gainesville, Georgia with his daughter and grandchildren, was taking a walk through the woods behind the complex. The man liked taking nature walks, and he was also following up on a report that he had made to the apartment management about a missing manhole cover. He later told police that he wanted to see if it had been replaced yet. It was around 7:30 pm in the evening, and still almost full daylight, and when the man paused near a stream bed, he saw something disturbing...something that he at first thought was a mannequin. Upon closer inspection, he realized that he was looking at a dead body. He called 911 and told them that a young lady, about 18 or 19 years old, was dead and looked like she had been dead for two or three days. The young woman was 16-year-old Hannah Truelove, a student at Gainesville High School. She had been missing since the night before. And even though her exact cause of death has not been revealed, police said she died a “violent death." She had been stabbed multiple times and left in the stream bed a quarter mile away from home; her flip flop was found a few yards away, tangled in some branches. Who killed Hannah Truelove?See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In the book of Revelation, Chapter 19; we find our purpose in life will be to experience this vivid scene; “Then a voice came from the throne saying, praise our God all you his servants, and you who fear him, both the great and small.“ So this subject brings me to the month of August 1999, which was 11 years after, the stories I have told so far. By that time, Thomas was working for an international business center. Our two oldest daughters, Naomi and Esther, both got married inJuly of that year. Lizzy and Miriam, were both in colleges in the UK, and Debby thirteen, was in high school.During those years, Thomas had been battling cancer which included a back operation, that left him temporarily paralyzed in his legs. With much determination and intense physical therapy, he had learned to walk again, and returned to work after only three months. In my German autobiography,"Das Lied meines Lebens", I wrote his story in detail, but I have not come to that part of our lives, in my podcast yet. PS: on my podcast you can find, video interviews I did in German called "Ein Bewegtes Leben" and "Hoffnung in der Trauer. " And with Naomi we did a video translation in English, called "Today is a new Day." We also talked about this subject in "True Love" #6.(the author of the song "Refuge" is Darrell Evans)

Pastor Jim explores Genesis 24 by drawing deep thematic parallels between the story of Isaac seeking a bride and the Christian gospel. He presents Abraham as a figure representing God the Father, who commissions his trusted servant to secure a wife for his son, Isaac, a character seen as a prophetic foreshadowing of Jesus Christ. Central to the message is the character of the servant, identified as Elazar, who serves as a model for modern believers in his humility, devotion to his master, and dedication to his mission. The speaker emphasizes that salvation is an act of divine initiative where God seeks out individuals, much like the servant sought Rebecca. Listeners are encouraged to embrace their identity as commissioned servants of God, prioritizing his glory over self-promotion. Ultimately, he presents the biblical narrative as a divine love story that requires a decisive, immediate response to the invitation of Christ.Support the showThanks for listening! Love is a verb. It isn't just a feeling it is an action! That is especially true of the AGAPe love we have focused on for nearly a year now. Our society's view of love is too often focused on love as a feeling. In the fairytales it is ‘true love' that solves the problem, but when the feeling fades trouble returns. Our Focus Text from Romans helps us recognize what love as a verb looks like. Jesus taught and modeled this love in action for us as he became like a servant and washed the feet of the disciples who would soon betray him, deny him and abandon him. It is this true ‘True Love' that makes a real difference in our lives when we put AGAPe love in action!

In this episode of The Pharmacist's Voice Podcast, I talk with Ohio pharmacist Dan Krinsky about writing, co-authoring, and editing. This is Episode 22 in the Pharmacist Authors Series. Unlike most episodes in the series, our conversation does not focus on one specific book. Dan has written and edited many types of professional content, including continuing education and journal articles, newsletters, patient education materials, business proposals, and pharmacy reference resources. Dan first appeared on the podcast in Episode 133, when we discussed his pharmacy career and pharmacogenomics. This time, writing gets the spotlight. Dan shares practical advice for pharmacists, pharmacy students, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy professors who want to begin writing or expand their writing experience. Dan's contact information, website, and social media links Dan Krinsky BS, MS, RPh, FAPhA on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/dan-krinsky-bs-ms-rph-fapha-a8537a/ Dan's email dkrinsky@educare-4u.com EduCare4U, LLC website https://www.educare-4u.com PGx101, LLC on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/pgx101 The Pharmacist's Voice Podcast Episode 133 featuring Dan Krinsky About Dan Krinsky B.S., M.S., R.Ph., FAPhA (July 2026) Dan is business owner, educator, entrepreneur and pharmacist who is passionate about advancing patient care and the pharmacy profession. He owns 2 businesses: EduCare4U, LLC, (focused on education and patient care) and PGx101, LLC (focused on pharmacogenomics education and practice implementation). Mr. Krinsky is currently a Professor at the LECOM School of Pharmacy, serving as a lecturer, committee member, and student advisor. He is a Fellow of the American Pharmacists Association and an active member of the Medication Management Special Interest Group. Other ventures include working with providers to optimize patients' drug therapy; professional writing; creation of certificate training programs, and new business development. Mr. Krinsky is Editor-in-Chief and Section Editor for the American Pharmacists Association publication 'Handbook of Nonprescription Drugs: An Interactive Approach to Self-Care.' Mr. Krinsky's areas of expertise include community pharmacy practice, drug information, patient counseling and education, OTCs, natural products, pharmacogenomics, and developing and implementing medication therapy and disease state management programs. His primary professional goal is to 'pay it forward', finding ways to make the profession better for the next generation of pharmacists. Questions and abbreviated answers from our conversation How did writing become part of your professional life? Dan's first major writing project was his master's thesis in pharmacokinetics. Writing did not come naturally at first, but he discovered that he enjoyed gathering information and turning it into something useful for an audience. How can someone decide whether writing is right for them? Start with a topic you care about. Identify the audience, look for gaps in available information, and find a mentor or support network. You do not need to work alone. Should new writers start small or go directly to writing a book? Dan recommends beginning with an article, newsletter, or another smaller project when possible. Smaller projects provide quicker feedback and help writers build skills and confidence. Someone who wants to start with a book should narrow the topic, identify the audience, create an outline, set deadlines, and seek feedback early. What has Dan written? His work includes newsletters, business proposals, patient advisory leaflets, consumer health information, journal and continuing education articles, and two co-authored point-of-care resources: the Natural Therapeutics Pocket Guide and the Drug-Induced Nutrient Depletion Handbook. He has also contributed to multiple editions of APhA's Handbook of Nonprescription Drugs as an author and editor. How are writing, co-authoring, and editing different? An author creates the content. Co-authors share responsibility and need clear roles, flexibility, and communication. An editor improves accuracy, organization, clarity, and usefulness while protecting the author's voice. When should an author involve an editor? As early as possible. An editor can help shape the audience, scope, outline, organization, and flow before the author invests months in the wrong direction. Early feedback is usually easier to handle than dozens of changes at the end. How can someone find a useful topic? Pay attention to recurring patient questions, conversations, media claims, and gaps in health information. The final product does not need to be a book. It could be an article, handout, script, social media post, or educational program. What keeps people from starting? Dan identifies three common barriers: waiting to become "the expert," fear of criticism, and lack of structure. Know what you know, recognize what you do not know, and build a network that can help fill the gaps. How can pharmacists develop a writing habit? Schedule writing time, set specific goals, work backward from deadlines, and use an accountability partner. A detailed outline makes a large project feel more manageable. Where can beginners find legitimate writing opportunities? Consider professional associations, colleges of pharmacy, health systems, community pharmacies, continuing education companies, consumer health websites, and digital health companies. Build a portfolio with writing samples, areas of expertise, testimonials, and other communication experience. How long should someone give writing before deciding it is not for them? There is no single timeline. A newsletter article may take a month; a book may take 12 to 18 months. Set realistic deadlines for each project, start small, and give yourself time to learn. What is Dan's final advice for aspiring authors? Find a mentor, be patient, expect revisions, learn from feedback, and enjoy the process. Writing may not be the right path for everyone, but it can be a meaningful way to educate patients, serve the profession, and create new opportunities. Guided Question How does your understanding of love compare with the kind of "true love" described in Scripture, and what would it look like to live that out in your relationships this week? Summary What does the world really need? While our culture constantly talks about love, this message argues that what the world truly lacks is real, biblical love. Beginning with the observation that love is the "energy of life," Dr. Robert Lewis explains that many of the things people call love—conditional affection, emotional attraction, or lust—are merely substitutes that ultimately leave people empty. Drawing from passages throughout Scripture, he demonstrates that love is central to God's redemptive plan. God's love moved Him to pursue sinful humanity, love fulfills the entire law, love is the goal of Christian instruction, and love is the defining mark of every follower of Christ. The Christian life is not measured simply by knowledge or religious activity, but by a transformed heart that genuinely loves God and others. Turning to 1 Corinthians 13, Dr. Lewis highlights Paul's practical description of "true love." Love is patient, kind, humble, selfless, forgiving, truthful, enduring, and unwavering. Unlike the world's temporary or self-serving versions of love, biblical love never fails because it reflects God's own character. Followers of Christ are called not merely to admire this love but to pursue it as the defining characteristic of their lives. Outline Why the world desperately needs real love False substitutes for biblical love Love at the center of God's plan Love fulfills God's commands Love as the goal of Christian growth Love as the evidence of genuine faith The transformation of John: from "Son of Thunder" to the Apostle of Love The characteristics of true love (1 Corinthians 13) True love never fails Key Takeaways Love is the life-giving force that God intends to characterize every believer. The world's versions of love are often conditional, emotional, or self-serving, but biblical love is sacrificial and enduring. God's love is the foundation of salvation and the motivation behind His pursuit of humanity. Love is the fulfillment of God's commands and the proper motivation for Christian obedience. Spiritual maturity is measured not by knowledge alone, but by growing in love. Genuine love is one of the clearest evidences of knowing Christ. The qualities listed in 1 Corinthians 13 provide a practical picture of how believers are called to live. True love reflects God's character and never fails. Scripture References John 3:16 — God's love moved Him to send His Son for the world. Matthew 22:34–40 — Love for God and neighbor fulfills the entire Law. 1 Timothy 1:5–7 — The goal of Christian instruction is love. John 13:35 — Love identifies Jesus' disciples. 1 John 4:7–8 — Those who know God demonstrate His love. Luke 9:51–56 — Jesus corrects James and John, teaching a better way than anger. 1 Corinthians 13:4–8 — True love is patient, kind, enduring, and never fails. Recorded 9.5.82

It's Friday, July 17th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Scottish man arrested for hate speech about pro-life politician's murder A 50-year-old man, pretending to be a woman, who works at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, publicly celebrated the murder of former British Member of Parliament Ann Widdecombe, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Herbert, an Aberdeen web developer, who prefers to be called “Heather,” wrote, “Some good news for once. I hope it was an extremely painful death” and “I hope she was handcuffed to the bed as she screamed in agony.” Widdecombe, a pro-life advocate, served in the Parliament from 1987 to 2010. She endeared herself to Britons with her surprisingly popular appearances on the television shows Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Big Brother. Herbert has now been charged for his bizarre hate speech as the investigation into her murder continues. Some have raised speculation that the arrest might be due less to Herbert's hate speech and more to do with what, if any, inside knowledge he might have about her murder. Widdecombe is the second murder of a high-profile pro-life politician in England this decade. Sir David Amess, who was a Member of Parliament for 38 years and Widdecombe's friend, was murdered at a local event in 2021 by Islamist Ali Harbi Ali. Arizona Senator admits to two extra-marital affairs U.S. Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego of Arizona, a married man and a potential 2028 presidential candidate, engaged in sexual relationships with at least two House staffers, reports the New York Post. The 46-year-old lawmaker admitted to the two extramarital affairs. In Exodus 20:14, God gave Moses the seventh of the Ten Commandments: “You shall not commit adultery.” Man, who spewed racial epithet, charged black NBC Today co-host Andrew Truelove allegedly stormed NBC's "Today" show at 9:00am Eastern on July 16th, lunged at anchor Craig Melvin, a black man, and called him the N-word, reports NBC News. He is now facing a slew of hate crime charges. Truelove, who is white and was unarmed, had entered a stairwell and made his way backstage near the dressing room. The staff and security rushed in -- and the intruder was ultimately detained and arrested. The incident was not captured during the broadcast. Nobody was hurt. Roughly 15 minutes afterwards, both Craig Melvin and Al Roker were on air. Neither hinted at the drama. AG nominee open to roll back Biden's mail-order Abortion Kill Pill During his confirmation hearing before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on July 15th, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche faced a range of questions from Republicans regarding the Abortion Kill Pill mifepristone, reports The Washington Stand. Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri asked about the Trump administration's perspective. HAWLEY: “Joe Biden took away President Trump's safety restrictions on this chemical abortion drug. He instituted a mail order abortion policy. So, my state went to court to try to defend our state's laws. A number of other states, Republican states, did this. And of course, in the meantime, the president changed, thank goodness. And now we have President Trump. “But that means that that now we have the state of Missouri, a Republican state, along with a number of other conservative Republican states, are in court against a Republican administration, fighting over Joe Biden's abortion policy.” BLANCHE: “I share your concerns, as does this entire administration. We have the most pro-life president in history, and you are one of the most pro-life senators in this body. “We are not defending what Biden did, and will not. The FDA has a process that takes a year. They've committed to do it in significantly less time than a year. President Trump's administration, in its entirety, will protect the life of the unborn.” HAWLEY: “Presumably, you have no issue with President Trump's earlier rule, which had common sense safety restrictions. You had to see a doctor, get a prescription. There had to be a follow-up visit to see if there was any hemorrhaging. Those were in place before Biden gutted them. “Presumably, there's no issue with any of those.” BLANCHE: “I anticipate the Department [of Justice] would defend those rules.” HAWLEY: “Why not, while the FDA is doing its review, why not put President Trump's rules in place? They're good rules. Why not do that rather than leave in place these rules?” BLANCHE: “We want to get to a good result, consistent with President Trump's administrative directive and priorities. And we very much believe that the Biden rules were wrong.” Psalm 127:3 says, “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” Senator Cruz: Comstock Act should prohibit Abortion Pill by mail And Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas also addressed the Abortion Kill Pill with Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche. CRUZ: “The Comstock Act provides that every article or thing designed or adapted or intended for producing abortion is declared to be non-mailable. I have to admit that statutory text to me looks quite straightforward. It is not subtle. It is not difficult. It is straightforward. “As you know, during the Biden administration, the Office of Legal Counsel issued an opinion concluding that those provisions generally do not prohibit mailing abortion drugs unless the sender intends them to be used unlawfully. Is that right?” BLANCHE: “Yes, that's correct.” CRUZ: “Now, [the] Office of Legal Counsel's opinions may be reconsidered when the Attorney General concludes they are inconsistent with the law. Is that right?” BLANCHE: “That is right.” CRUZ: “Will you commit to carefully reviewing that opinion to ensure that it faithfully reflects the actual statutory text that Congress enacted?” BLANCHE: “Yes.” CRUZ: “Will you commit that the Department [of Justice] will carefully evaluate every lawful action available to ensure the faithful enforcement of the Comstock Act and other federal pro-life acts?” BLANCHE: “Yes.” CRUZ: “I want to point out the real consequences of the Biden administration's lawless authorization of mail-order abortions. According to FDA reporting, the abortion pill has taken more than 3.7 million unborn lives, caused 24 maternal deaths -- moms are being killed -- and resulted in at least 4,195 adverse maternal reactions, including hemorrhage, excruciating abdominal pain, and severe, life-threatening infections. “The position of the Democrats now seems to be that women and teenage girls should be able to get mail-order abortions without a doctor being involved at all. And I will tell you, the death toll from that is horrific, and it needs to stop.” Once Blanche is voted out of the Judiciary Committee, he will need 51 votes of the 100 senators to be confirmed as President Trump's next U.S. Attorney General. Focus on the Family president Jim Daly to step down Nearly two decades after taking the helm of Focus on the Family following the departure of its founder, Jim Daly is preparing to hand the ministry to a new generation, reports The Christian Post. The president of one of America's most influential Evangelical groups announced this week that Focus has officially launched a nationwide search for its next leader, marking the beginning of what is expected to be an 18-month succession process ahead of the ministry's 50th anniversary in 2027. Unlike many recent leadership transitions in prominent Christian groups, this one is not being driven by scandal or internal upheaval. Rather, Focus on the Family is intentionally choosing to transition while it's healthy. Jim Daly said, "My core belief was it's good to get new faces, new energy, younger leadership in to speak to the 30-, 40-somethings about what they're facing with marriage and parenting. I'm going to be turning 65. It's time to start looking for the next-gen leadership. That's really the goal, and to do it well is the other goal." The search, being conducted with executive search firm FaithSearch Partners, will culminate in a vote by Focus' board of directors. Founded in 1977 by Christian psychologist and author Dr. James Dobson, Focus on the Family grew from a fledgling radio ministry into one of the most recognizable voices in American evangelicalism. Through its daily radio broadcasts, magazines, books, counseling services, and public policy advocacy, the Colorado Springs-based nonprofit became a defining force in conversations about marriage, parenting, religious liberty, and the sanctity of life. Today, the ministry reaches millions through radio, podcasts and digital media, employing roughly 750 people and overseeing an annual budget of $150 million. Numbers 33: No Compromise, No Excuses (Choose Your Hard)Are we walking in the boldness of the Holy Spirit, or are we letting the false gods of this world stick around to become thorns in our sides? In today's message, we look into Numbers 33 to see the direct parallel between Israel's physical journey out of Egyptian bondage and our spiritual journey out of slavery to sin. When God tells us to drive out the enemy, he isn't giving us a suggestion. He's giving a command. If we compromise—even for the people or things we love most—the very things we tolerate will become the tools the enemy uses to harass us. It's time to stop playing the name game, start standing flat-footed on the Word of God, and choose your hard.Episode Chapters:0:00 — Introduction: Israel's Journey from Bondage0:37 — Walking in Boldness (Numbers 33:3 & Acts 1:8)2:01 — The Choice of True Love vs. Witchcraft & Control3:36 — The 40-Year Delusion: Stop Chipping Away at Your Time5:27 — Drive Them Out: The Command to Destroy the Idols6:24 — Thorns in Your Side: The Spirit of Lunacy and Destructive Compromise8:36 — Put the Flesh to Death: Moving by Belief, Not Feelings9:40 — "MOREOVER" (Numbers 33:56) & The Trap of Family Compromise10:52 — Becoming a New Creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) & God Outside of Time12:17 — Pulling Down Strongholds & The Danger of "Another Jesus"14:18 — Living Sacrifices & Metamorphosis (Romans 12:1-2)14:55 — Choose Your Hard: Stand Strong for the Things of God16:06 — The Broadcasted Seed: Isaiah 55 & The Living Word17:05 — The 13-Year-Old & The Christian Carpenter: A Word That Never Leaves19:17 — Climbing Over the Word to Go to Hell19:50 — Coach for Christ Outro & Book Announcement: "Run At Them"Key Takeaways From This Message:Boldness Over Bondage: Israel walked out of slavery with boldness in the sight of their captors. True boldness comes from the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8), not your flesh. The 40-Year Delusion: Aaron served for 40 years, but you aren't guaranteed tomorrow. Stop thinking you can repent at the buzzer. The Trap of Compromise: What you let remain in your life will become irritants in your eyes and thorns in your side. We see the consequences of tolerated lunacy today. The Power of the Living Word: The Word of God is alive and spirit (John 6:63). A seed planted in a child's life doesn't return void.
What does true love actually look like according to Scripture? In today's episode of ScriptureLinks Daily Dose of Inspiration, we discover that biblical love is much deeper than emotions or kind words. True love refuses to celebrate sin, speaks truth that leads others toward spiritual maturity, and demonstrates itself through actions that reflect the heart of Christ. Join us as we examine what genuine Christian love looks like and how we can live it out every day.
Tom Logue - June 28th 2026 The greatest command isn't about trying harder—it's about learning what real love actually is. We use the word love for everything. We love coffee, hobbies, family, success, comfort, and even God. But what if we've confused biblical love with something far smaller? What if we've mistaken good behavior for genuine devotion? Jesus was asked to identify the single greatest commandment, and His answer reaches far beyond rules or religious performance. It exposes what's happening beneath the surface of our lives and invites us to discover the kind of love that transforms not only our actions, but our hearts. This message confronts the subtle ways we settle for outward obedience while missing the deeper relationship God desires. It also reveals the breathtaking reality that before we're ever called to love God, we are first deeply, sacrificially, and completely loved by Him through Jesus. If you've ever wondered whether God truly loves you, struggled to love Him wholeheartedly, or found yourself going through the motions of faith, this message offers an invitation back to the center of it all.
